UPDATE: In regards to the questlines, there was a lock out issue due to the items involved in some parts required Buildings/Decos no longer in the game. They were unable to keep them going as they originally wanted. Sorry. 😦

The lil Birdies are going to be leaving our silly lil games TODAY! Yup, TODAY! So I wanted to bounce by to make sure you all had a reminder to snag some of those items you were debating on as well as finishing up anything else.
For those of you that had written in and wanted us to double and triple confirm the end time and date… The Nature Weekend Mini-Event is ENDING TODAY. May 14th, 3PM PDT (Pacific Time USA).

DECORATIONS & BUILDINGS
There were some cool lil decorations added to the game with the Event. Some that may look well in many environments around your Quahog, so if you have some spare Coins pick up a few extras for later. Don’t go too wild just yet. We do not know what the next idea TinyCo is gonna launch on us will require, so you may need to still keep some Coins handy for it.
FYI, the Buildings and some Decorations are required to complete the Questlines so make sure you have at least those added to your game just in case.
Turtle Reed Pond: $2000
The Perfect Picnic Table: $25,000
Owl Tree: $1200
Ol’ Geyser: $15,000
Toasty Campfire: $200
Bird Sanctuary: $700 (6hr build), Pays out $10 & 5XP every 1hr, ALWAYS Yellow Bird

QUESTLINES
Per TinyCo, if you DO unlock Bird Beard Peter, you will be able to continue on with Naughty by Nature and Watching the Birds. So focus on getting what you need now before it ends in regards to Decorations, Buildings, etc and get him unlocked. Then you can focus on the Questline later.

PREMIUMS
If you wanted to invest some Clams into this Event, you can pick up the “Furballs” from the Extra Timed Questline. You can actually have more than one of these animals, so if you really want… pick up some extras for your “Wilderness Area” or “Zoo Area” before they go with the Event too.
Also if you are still on the fence and your timer has NOT run out for the Fiercest of Furballs Timed Offer for “Bear Man”, make sure you make the choice before the timer hits zero and the offer is gone.
All 4 of them are Decorations in case you were wondering. All are animated too.
Predatory Mountain Lion: 25 Clams
Ben the Bear: 75 Clamse
Gary the “No Trash” Cougar: 95 Clams
Bear Man: FREE w/timed offer
On top of that, there are also two OTHER Premiums in the game to kind of add to the “Outdoor” feel. Take a peek at them to see if they are something you would like in your game.

BIRD BEARD PETER
If you really want another Costume for Peter and are really close to unlocking the Costume, make sure you decide wisely how to use your Clams if it comes to it to unlock him. Check to see if there is a “cheaper” way. Outright unlock, speed up a task, buy Material from task directly, etc. Just remember, it is your choice to do so.
There you have it. Some cool looking items in a lil Mini Event. I know I stocked up on some of the ponds, campfires, geysers, and trees myself. Oh and those pic-i-nic tables. I really like the Cabin, as well. The Sanctuary too. I really want MORE lil tiny things to decorate with. Hopefully the next time they will bring MORE. 😉

Me and my husband both play on my samsung tablet. Today he had the tv on the sidewalk closest to the griffian house (but the sidewalk wasnt infront of the griffins house). Watced 3 videos. Seemed to work fine. I checked my game but nothing.

I paid 75 clams to get the skin for Bird Beard Peter (with 1 hour left before end of event) but now it is gone including all the quests I still had open for this skin.
Already made a support request for this, but haven’t had a reply yet.

I fell three pink birds short and didn’t get the skin.
When I woke up this morning, I visited my other games first. Then I sent all my characters on 24 hour missions. I will try the next event, but if this game has turned into something that can only be completed with clams, then I am done.

So I had been trying extra hard to get bird beard Peter. In the last few hours I spent around 20 clams and got him, super pleased! I log on today to find that bird beard Peter is gone. My clams are still gone too. All that for nothing! Help!

Check Al’s, see if you still see the costume there. Check your Inventory Storage to see if it is in the Characters Inventory tag. Then check by just tapping on Peter and scrolling his Costumes left and right.
If still nothing, message them from in your game.

Very frustrating that i grind my arse off to get bird beard and he only has 2 quests in part 7 and part 2 of the two questline and they stop then.
They have to bring it back for those eligible, to have something take so long to get and be meaningless already? its insulting.

I’ve seen two TVs for a total three videos and three clams.
I slept through my alarm last night and woke up at what I thought was 45 minutes late, but Bird Beard Peter was still in Al’s. Two blue and three green short, I rushed Lois and Chris for 1 clam apiece (they both dropped, thank goodness), and dumped another 45 clams to create the outfit then and there. Drop rates were not kind.
Had to do this once before for Bitch Stewie, who now sits maxed-out in my Inventory. Oh well.

These times mini events really need to stretch over two weekends. Most of us have more time on the weekend to devote to constantly check on gathering items. Half a day more and I would have had all the birds without spending any clams. I zonked out this afternoon and missed checking one more time before I was going to spend clams, so no bearded Peter for me. Hope he comes back later and progress isn’t lost.
I was also disappointed that Gary the No-Trash Cougar is a clam purchase and not something to earn. I’ve been looking forward to that being an unlockable costume, not a deco.

Fell short by ten red birds. Too few people and lousy drop rate for me. I bought two of the animals, the bear being one of them because I like them..too many clams for Paul Bunion, so I skipped him even tho I would have like to have had him and his blue ox.

I know I saw a horse drawn carriage wondering around in one of my neighbors towns. Was this a glitch of spoilers or what? I know for a fact that my neighbor is not a ‘hacked’ town. It was there when I visited, and I tapped my 3 characters in his town and left. After realizing what I saw, (and remembering i havent seen it for purchase before) I went back and alas the carriage was gone. just wondering if anyone else has seen such?

Tv is offering constantly, and I have collected 2 times, and gotten 2 clams. BUT now my game is at 34 MB of memory instead of the normal 7.5 MB on my android.

Both my questlines disappeared. Bummer. Got BBPeter tho, so not all bad. Got the TV. On android lollipop. Watched it once &got nothing. Second time got 1 clam then it disappeared. Second time TV appeared watched 1 ad, got 1 clam then it disappeared again.

Can’t say that I’m surprised about something not working as TinyCo intended. This game requires post release patching for serious issues with such a high frequency that it’s casting a big shadow of doubt with regards to sufficient and proper testing on the product. And I already thought that TSTO’s quality was poor…

The game is over one year old now, and the events are supposed to be made months in advance, and yet it feels like they always introduce some bad glitches for some players and always have to change around the droprate because it is messed up, etc.
Some times it really feels like they are incompetent and dont know what they are doing.
The good thing is that they are relatively quick in response and tries to fix the mess they caused.

I click the tv it brings up a menu with a pic Mort holding a clam, “click to earn +1 clam” I click the music stops for a few seconds then starts again after it happening 2-4 times it says nothing to watch never got any clams. I hope they get that free clams thing working someday. 🙂

Know what? I think I figured out how their drop system works. Pardon my inability to include ‘algorithms’ as I don’t know how to do that, but I understand how they work … In Sort of a remedial context.
Here’s the thing. All throughout, the exact same number of birds were dropping, but each was designated a different outcome. Some would drop less often than others to begin with, while the yellow birds were to drop consistently until depleted, at which time the green birds, whose timing was longer was set to drop at about near to always. The pinks seem to be about 75% and as they depleted the Blues were all that was left and at that point guaranteed to drop. A lot like the same principle as ‘pull and play’ guaranteed win tickets or counting cards, if you get my drift.
TinyCo meant for most of us to get Bird Beard Peter. Don’t know why some didn’t because I stopped trying and just kept playing and I got him anyway.
I noticed this a while back with the districts, already. Trying to get the headbands, eyeballs or plutonium. Those items did drop just as they were intended to. The easy ones first with a few random uncommon, rare or even an epic. But that’s because of the amount there was to begin with. They were a guaranteed drop, you just had to wait till all of the other ones were gone to pull the last ticket for that elusive big one, Frustrating as it was.
Does this make the least bit of sense to anyone?

I think they uped the drops on the pink birds in the last day or two. i didnt think i was going to get all that was needed then they seemed to start dropping like “always” drops. Got 6 yesterday then the last 2 today about 3 hours before it ended.

Hi girls! And everyone… Look, I’ve never griped about an event or mini-event challenge, but I’ve never failed to achieve my goal in one before… Until this one. I play all day, every day, and often wake up during the night and check my game. At 2:45 today (central coast of Cali) I was short quite a few blue and fuchsia birds, so I just went ahead and dropped the 111 clams to unlock birds beard Peter. Now, I don’t mind dropping some clams for something I really like, in fact I actually buy most of the premium event stuff, characters, buildings, some decos… I even bought the special offer this weekend! I fully support TinyCo, love them, and love this game, and I believe in supporting them by spending money on this fun little obsession of mine! But this one… I don’t know, I guess I felt disappointed on the lack of bird droppings (heehehee), especially since I had ALL the characters that dropped them. “Ramble much MuMpY?” I know, I know, I hate reading complainy boo hoo comments on this site sooo much, they irritate me and make me feel defensive for TinyCo and just feel bad for Bunny and Alissa to have to sorry through so many of them. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I kinda understand the frustration now. At least from the people who don’t refer to every premium item release as “another cash grab by TinyCo.” But I still love the game, and I love this site, and am very grateful that you girls have provided a community where we can voice our opinions while getting the best possible info about the game. Thanks for your thoughts MuMphY. I can tell you I passed along a BUNCH of player comments to TinyCo yesterday, as well as my own feedback about these grinding events. Some conversations were had & hopefully things will look a bit different in the future with events.
The important thing is the game is fun. Because a game’s not worth playing if it’s not fun, right? So hopefully some fun (and less grinding) will return soon!

Neither questlines are showing for me :(. Hope this is fixed, Bird Beard Peter is pretty awesome.
The T.V. isn’t showing up either. My boyfriend has had the T.V. twice. Got one clam each time, about 9 to 10 hours apart.

I got Bird Man just in time, then the Main Questline disappeared, I still have Watching the Birds. Have no TV, :{ I question the wisdom of a timed event right after Star Trek, but maybe they had their reasons….

After starting out pretty slow, birds finally started dropping nicely and I just managed to get Peter’s costume this morning. Also, I just realized the tv was there on my android, watched 3 videos in a row for 3 clams.

I was able to get the costume with hours to spare with no clams spent. The first few days didn’t seem like it’d be possible but the drops got a lot better later on. The last I needed were greens, still had 4 of them to go when I finished up the blues and purples.
The Watching the Birds quest continued for me. The main quest did not continue but I may have finished it. I have not looked to see how many parts there were supposed to be, but it disappeared right after I finished a portion of it sometime after the deadline.
I saw the TV in the street today and it actually worked. I was able to watch two videos in the same go, and was awarded 2 clams. The TV came back a second time but it only offered one video that time so I just got 1 clam on that one. It was nice to see this work though. Previously when the dino or Carl would appear it always said no videos available or something of that sort. The videos I saw were all trailers for games with a link to download on Google Play.

Little disappointed I didn’t get the costume, but I have a running rule about not spending clams on things like that unless they’re insanely amazing. And really, bird-beard Peter is basically just Peter with a beard…

Just checked and both bird beard quests (naughty and watching) have vanished from my list, plus all the new decos and buildings for the event are no longer in the store.

Just realized that the 3 day Bear Man counter vanished also. It had started and was just down a few hours the last time I noticed on May 14. That might be normal rather than part of the vanishing quests problem, since the animals were gone from the store anyway so they couldn’t be purchased.

Yeah this event really was a sad affair. I started doing the event right after it started and was making good progress on the bird, well save for the blue one. I was sitting at 2/18 Blue Birds on Wednesday morning and started back on working on closing out brewery stuff. Of course then the blue birds started dropping.

I’m so freakin excited about the prospect of a godfather, GTA, breaking bad type event in june!!! (as they’ve hinted it’s a crime theme)
But right now my towns lonely I purchased Rupert n the horse 2 finish up the buy collection with the clams I earned from the star trek event, but apart from that it’s boring lol when do our lovely ladies expect the new content (the fireman pole etc) to arrive?

This is the first event since I started playing (during the American Dad event), in which I’ve failed to complete the quests in time. Exponentially, the amount of clams being used is also going up but I’m too addicted to stop!

I didn’t have any realistic chance of getting the skin after the weekend, but I played it out anyway. Three hours before the deadline, I found myself one purple bird away after my last collection of those 8-hour tasks. Since I couldn’t cycle those through again and it was only a 15-clam cost, I went for it largely because I read here that the questlines were staying and I figured I could do the questlines until the new content landed in my game to stay busy. So I spent clams to get a skin that I really didn’t care about solely for the questlines that are now no longer in my game. It was only 15 clams and I don’t blame the info that was provided here (I know it came from TinyCo or it wouldn’t have been posted), but based on what has happened the last 10 weeks (SSO Peter event, Star Trek event, this mini-event), I need a good swig of Listerine to rid my mouth of the awful taste that is in there.

I have just about had enough with rigged and deliberately defective game.
Ultimately I have no one to blame but myself, but not for long. I need space on my iPad for an upgrade. I know just what to delete.

Got Peter but needed to use 105 clams as the drops were horrible. For a “common” drop to have about a 40% drop percentage, something wasn’t working right.

These short events are ridiculous. Im sorry tinyco is going to and already has lost a lot of players do to the fact of all events are way to short. We cant sit here and play all day we need more time this is suppose to be a slow pace game becuase of people who go to school full time and work full time. Tinyco needs to slow these events down and give us more time.
