UPDATE: In regards to the questlines, there was a lock out issue due to the items involved in some parts required Buildings/Decos no longer in the game. They were unable to keep them going as they originally wanted. Sorry. 😦

The lil Birdies are going to be leaving our silly lil games TODAY! Yup, TODAY! So I wanted to bounce by to make sure you all had a reminder to snag some of those items you were debating on as well as finishing up anything else.
For those of you that had written in and wanted us to double and triple confirm the end time and date… The Nature Weekend Mini-Event is ENDING TODAY. May 14th, 3PM PDT (Pacific Time USA).

DECORATIONS & BUILDINGS
There were some cool lil decorations added to the game with the Event. Some that may look well in many environments around your Quahog, so if you have some spare Coins pick up a few extras for later. Don’t go too wild just yet. We do not know what the next idea TinyCo is gonna launch on us will require, so you may need to still keep some Coins handy for it.
FYI, the Buildings and some Decorations are required to complete the Questlines so make sure you have at least those added to your game just in case.
Turtle Reed Pond: $2000
The Perfect Picnic Table: $25,000

QUESTLINES
Per TinyCo, if you DO unlock Bird Beard Peter, you will be able to continue on with Naughty by Nature and Watching the Birds. So focus on getting what you need now before it ends in regards to Decorations, Buildings, etc and get him unlocked. Then you can focus on the Questline later.

PREMIUMS
If you wanted to invest some Clams into this Event, you can pick up the “Furballs” from the Extra Timed Questline. You can actually have more than one of these animals, so if you really want… pick up some extras for your “Wilderness Area” or “Zoo Area” before they go with the Event too.
Also if you are still on the fence and your timer has NOT run out for the Fiercest of Furballs Timed Offer for “Bear Man”, make sure you make the choice before the timer hits zero and the offer is gone.
All 4 of them are Decorations in case you were wondering. All are animated too.

BIRD BEARD PETER
If you really want another Costume for Peter and are really close to unlocking the Costume, make sure you decide wisely how to use your Clams if it comes to it to unlock him. Check to see if there is a “cheaper” way. Outright unlock, speed up a task, buy Material from task directly, etc. Just remember, it is your choice to do so.
There you have it. Some cool looking items in a lil Mini Event. I know I stocked up on some of the ponds, campfires, geysers, and trees myself. Oh and those pic-i-nic tables. I really like the Cabin, as well. The Sanctuary too. I really want MORE lil tiny things to decorate with. Hopefully the next time they will bring MORE. 😉

The TV has appeared in front of my griffin house. When you click on it it asks if you want to watch like a 30 second ad for one clam. And sometimes you can watch three ads in a row. So yay for the free clams!
I do have one issue which I’ve sent two messages to Tinyco about. I purchased Data before the Star Trek event ended and I also got the 25 clams for getting the whole TNG crew, but after the event ended both Data and the clams disappeared. They still haven’t gotten back to me on the issue. I am really upset because the extra clams we’re going to let me purchase Cleveland.

Message them again from your game. Make sure you reply to anything that comes back, even an automated message. Give them 5 days and if nothing, included an automated one, resend another.

Have the missing questlines for this mini-event been forgotten now that the next mini-event has started? I have sifted through these 400-plus comments and can’t find responses to points 2 & 3 at the top of this post. I’m the dope who spent 15 clams for the final purple bird just so I could run through the questlines because word was they would continue. Not a huge deal but if policy is that questlines will never continue after events, I’ll save my clams in the future.

Spent 40 clams to finish him up, myself, and pretty bummed that the questlines are gone. Sent them a message about this… Also spent 100 clams to get Babe the Blue Ox and Paul Bunyan. Wanted those from the start, but now I am not so sure I shouldve bought them since this happened. Hope it comes back…

So far I am seeing the main issue trying to get them continued is the items needed to complete were in the Event. It caused a lock out glitch. I am waiting for final word, but it looks like that may have been the cause for them to not be able to continue with them even though they wanted to. 😦

This nature event clearly to me was a “to get people to spend clams” type of event, otherwise all of the questlines would have continued, because most people wouldn’t be able to unlock the skin and do all the tasks involved unless they got perfect drops every single time or spent clams to unlock it early all in the time period they gave. They need to rethink their system, the deadlines should just be for unlocking the content, the quests should be available until they are completed, even if I want to take a month to complete it, there is no reason for this, it’s really not realistic that we were going to be able to complete the entire event in the short period of time given after having sometimes extremely horrible drop rates. Going more the 24 hours without getting even one of the rare items is not as far as I am concerned good planning. They should start a new system like you get a guaranteed item by doing a series of tasks involving 2-3 characters, it would take about the same time, but takes the chance out of the equation. The just need to change it up, nothing has really changed in a year, still doing the same things for the same stuff.

Guys count yourselves lucky, a 3pm deadline equates to stupid o’clock in the morning for us players in Europe. Didn’t get bird beard peter, wasn’t bothered, just like I was not bothered about Khan / Scotty or Seven of Nine, and i am a massive Trekker. The Star Trek event really put me off the game. The drop rates are designed to panic you into spending clams, which is how TinyCo make their money. BUT what seems to be lost on the company is that the people who spend money on clams have to EARN the money, and some of us can’t access our phones during the working day, so long tasks with rare drop rates are just plain unworkable. No more late nights or early mornings for me waiting for chris or peter to finish a task, I think I will keep my money in my pocket.

I was able to get Bird Beard Peter with 50 minutes left. My quests did not continue. I do have the TV screen and have watched several promos and collected clams each time. Thank you, Addicts, for all the help in this game.

Was able to watch 4 ads back to back before the TV disappeared. I like this idea. You’re not forced to watch them. Its a choice, and a chance to get free clams without signing up for Facebook.

I am seeing the tv. 2 days now. Both days, after the second video, my game completely freezes up. I need to do a hard restart. Not sure if I was credited with the clams or not. I will pay more attention next time

Is there going to be a poll on this mini-event. To me this was the easiest mini event ever, but as I read the comments it seems I am the minority here. I just want to know how much actually got him and it’s just that those who didn’t are really the only ones to comment.

This mini event is what prompted me to give up on the game. The Star Trek was long but I guess worth it, but just like Spanish Peter, the bird beard was designed to fail unless you deprive yourself of sleep or spend clams. Spanish Peter I had collected everything in time by 2 minutes using clams , I created him and nothing happened. TinyCo said they couldn’t help. Then in this event I had everything but 1 blue bird despite constantly sending people on the rare blue bird tasks, and I had a choice of paying clams to buy it or hurry up tasks for a chance. TinyCo drop rate is designed to scare you into spending clams for non-premiums because their time limit isn’t realistic compared to their drop rate. Casual players must HATE this game if dedicated players constantly get screwed.

I pickedd up 3 clams yesterday and 2 on Wednesday with the big screen tv on the Griffins front lawn.
Used them to get a few fascia birds for the bearded Peter Skin or I was dead in the water

did i fell into a coma or something? i played the same amount as during the startrek event where i got all the freemium characters and costumes except uhura, but i was still far from getting birdbeard peter. only got all of the yellow birds, and was missing 3-7 of all the other ones. i guess it was a BAD idea to have tinyco meet up with the EA guys… hope we will see mini events again that are not timed impossible for freemium players.

I got the last bird literally 20 minutes before 3pm yesterday. Whew! But I was a bit upset because I had to play almost obsessively to get there. Waking in the middle of the night and feeling compelled to turn my little game on! I made it by the hair of my chinny chin chin (pardon the pun). I think TinyCo needs to realign their challenges. Those of us playing these games like challenges or we get bored; but there is a difference between challenge and pressure/frustration/disappointment. It can be a fine line between them and TinyCo misses the mark at times. I love the game, but I don’t like feeling like I “HAVE” to play non-stop (or pay) for have any glimmer of hope to accomplish game goals. It’s more than just a few grumpy people complaining about this; it seems to be a lot of us. I hate to complain about a free game and want to support TinyCo’s success by buying a clam or two – but feel frustrated, so am not inclined to pay $$.

Hi I got bird beard peter and got to naughty by nature 8 but it dissapeared as soon as event ended. Watching the birds stayed until I completed part2 then it went away and part 3 never appeared. That’s sad cuz the story is one of my favorite parts of this game.

What I don’t get, is why these skins and costumes must be timed, there should be part of the main story, mini event are made to fill the hole between largers events. I don’t know about you guys but when the Star trek event was over… I felt like a weight was lift from my shoulders, and i shoulnt feel that way over a game.

As the event ended, I was about 5 short on 2 different birds. Decided to try an experiment. Plugged in my Kindle, disabled auto turn-off, and started the game and never left it. Over the next 12 hours I was lucky and all the birds dropped and I ended up with Bird Beard Peter 12 hours after the “official” event end. Consuela popped up a few times so the game was communicating with TinyCo.
Could be a fluke. Could be Kindle related as Kindle is usually behind times. Don’t know why but thought I share what happened.

What platform? I focused on blue birds and tasked them whenever possible. Cabin only dropped 1 until last day, when tinyco rigged it so “rare” blue bird was common and 3 fell. But I needed 4… All other birds were easy enough.

I tought I would have problems with green birds but in the end, i had problems with blue birds… but I got lucky… I think I’m lucky all the time… I get almost all freemium stuff and I never spent any real money…. I just hope my luck won’t run out one day… but even if I didn’t get this costume… I wouldn’t be sad because LOOK AT ALL the useless costumes you never use 😉

I managed to get Peter just before the time ran out. I was down to needing 3 birds and they dropped on my last attempt just an hour or two before the event ended.
However, that meant I didn’t have time to finish the quests. I was on to Naughty by Nature Part 7 and had sent Peter to do the task, but the quest disappeared before he finished. Which is fine, because I had not looked ahead and seen what decorations I would have needed, so I didn’t get the Owl Tree and thus wouldn’t have been able to complete it anyway.
As for the Watching the Birds quest, I am still going on Part 2. But as Part 3 requires a Picnic Table, which I did not think to purchase in advance, then I expect that it will end when Peter finishes what he is currently doing.
I probably should have looked and seen what decorations were required so that I would have had them available… I buy at least 1 of each building because they still provide money and XP when their part in a quest is finished, but I only pick up decorations when a task makes me do it.

Although I was only 3 pinks birds short, it was a distraction from the tedium of trying to get 2 plutonium to unlock Stewie, which has been my only task for two weeks now. No drops today. This game is turning into a bit of a yawn.

District 8 is like that. District 9 is faster and better (though the ending is slow, leveling up the mayor to do whatever task he needed). The fine arts district is much faster and the best I think so far, minus the character we get, not that Olivia is bad, she’s just not great. On district 10 now, so I don’t know how good that one is.

District 10’s main thing is that you WILL need to make each item in the Brewery to it’s “limit” (not just one if you can make more than one) to get them to stop dropping Materials in the game. Otherwise I giggle every time I see that episode.

I have had the t.v. set and watched a video 3 days in a row and received 1 clam each time. Works much better then Carl did. I hope tinyco will keep this up everyday for all players much like subway surfers does. I also ended up getting bearded Peter at 8 a.m. on the 14th.

I just finished the first Watching The Birds quest with Bearded Peter, expecting the next one to start with Chris eating ham, but nothing happened.
I put Peter on a 2 hour task and will check again later, I guess.

With 30 min to go, I was 2 pink birds away. I could spend 26 clams to finish tasks or 30 to create the outfit. I figured that finishing the task was not a guaranteed drop (have never tried it before), so I spent the 30. Only reason was because I love that episode and I got at LEAST 30 free clams, prolly much more, from the Borg cube missions and tribbles. But I agree that this was a highly improbable skin to get on time.
One note, the skin created immed, didn’t have to wait 5 or 10 mins. Also lost the quest lines which is a huge bummer.

Definitely not enough time to get Bird Beard Peter for most freemium players. I just wish they would literally add just 1 more day to mini-events and 2 more days to larger events; the community morale would stay much happier and so many more players would have time to get all the awesome stuff we crave, not to mention maintain a semblance of a professional and/or social life! lol
