We dropped a lil Teaser/Spoiler Image the other day to offer you a taste of just what was coming around the corner. Well, it’s now here. The Firefighters Event.
First things first… THIS EVENT ENDS MAY 27th 3PM PDT!!!
Now for the fun stuff. You will need to be in District 3 and have Al’s built in order to see this Firefighter’s Event.
GLITCH ALERT: It is a known issue they are already looking into, if you attempt to purchase something that requires Clams, but you do not have enough, it will crash the game instead of sending you to the Purchase Clams Screen. So be careful of that.
WARNING: Check your App Market, you MUST be up to date on the most current version of the app or you will NOT be able to proceed in this Event. You will run into issues until you Update in the App Market.
Keep refreshing this post over the next lil while. We will update all the details and specifics once we are able to verify them all live in the game.

All around the game you will notice different kinds of Fire going on. In order to progress in the Event, you will need to get rid of the fire. Here are some of the ways…
BRUSH FIRES: These look almost like lil campires dropped around the edges of the Sidewalks around Quahog. Just tap on it to put it out. Pays out Fire Extinguishers for Chris’ Costume and Training Firefighters. If you can’t get them by tapping the bottoms, try tapping the smoke by the tops. These appear about 5 every 5 minutes for a MAX of 12 (at least in my town)
BUILDING FIRES: These are similar to the kind of Latcher Style. They look like a Fire Alarm Bell ringing continuously. You will need to clear them to release the building and get the award inside. To do this you will need to first Train your Firefighters. The one you will need to put it out will depend on what one is on the Building. More on it below as well. (These seem to appear every 3-4hrs, still checking on stats)

WALKING FIRE CREATURES: These Flaming Creatures will be walking around your Quahog Sidewalks. You will need a lil higher level Firefighters to put these guys down. More on it below.
Angry Fire Creature, drops Fire Axe

Extreme Fire Creature , drops Fire Chief Hats
(Fire Chief battles)
These appear after Fire in the Hole Pt. 7
Crazed Fire Creature, drops Jaws of Life
(Takes TWO Fire Captains battles)
MYSTERY BOXES
These will appear shortly after “Fire in the Hole Part 1”. Also, the items for them will NOT appear just yet to earn. So hang in there. They are coming. Only the Clam Building is in the game so far for Jaws of life, but it will NOT be required just to get these. There is also the Fire Chief for Clams attack on the Extreme Creatures that will drop Hats. Other options will come. 😉
You will notice something a lil odd about these Mystery Boxes… they are identical in Prizes. That is as intended. It is set up so YOU can decide which item you have extra of to use on either Mystery Box. So if you earn more of one than another, you can use that Material for the Mystery Box that accepts it.

We will have a LOT more info on this in another post. I will try to provide enough details in the mean time to at least get you started on it.
In the start of the Event, you will be prompted to build two locations. The Firefighter Academy and the Burn Me Once Building. You will notice once the Burn Me Once is done, there is a fire alarm bell going off outside and the Building is on FIRE!
So how to put it out? Well you need Firefighters of course. Go to the Firefighter Academy once it is built and tap on it. You will see a pop up menu for the Firefighters.
There are a total of 5 Firepoles you can unlock to increase the Firefighters in town. You will need to Open each one to use them and the Firefighter options inside.
Firepole One: Opens when Academy is built
Firepole Two: Requires 20 Fire Extinguishers to Open
Firepole Three: Requires 10 Fire Axe to Open
Firepole Four: 150 Clams to Open
Firepole Five: 150 Clams to Open
Tap on the Open Firepole that says “Train” to start the process. In there you will see the different Firemen available.
FIRE POLE ONE~
Firefighter: Train Time 1hr, Puts out Fire Alarm Bell Fires.
Requires4 Fire Extinguishers
Fire Captain: Train Time 4hrs, Puts outs Angry Fire Creature Fires
Requires
2 Gas Cans
Fire Chief: One time 135 Clam cost to Unlock, Train Time 4hrs, Puts out Extreme Fire Creatures
Requires2 Gas Cans
Once you have enough Materials to start any of the Firefighters training, just tap on “TRAIN” to get them started on the times. You will see a timer on that Firepole to let you know when he will be ready to help.
Once he is ready, any tap on the fires he fights will show a pop up asking you to “Clear Building Fire”. It will tell you if the Firefighter is “READY” and what payout you will get. The Firefighter will run over and put it out than take a pole through the ground.
The fire will go out and you will get the Payout. The building will now be available for use again. You can only use the Firefighter ONCE, then you will need to collect Materials again for the next Building on fire.
There you have it. Another different twist to our gaming for the Firefighter Event. More details and information still to come as we keep playing it ourselves.

Right before this event triggered. I unlocked district 9 got excited and sent both of my workers to clearing area cuz I wanted tom tucker. Now I gotta wait till tomorrow morning or spend clams to buy the buildings that only take 30sec to make lol. Still amazing game and I’m quite happy. Would any of you recommend me spending 125 clams for a 3rd worker? It doesn’t seem worth it to me. Any input would be nice.

I wouldn’t. I think two is a good mix. Wait before adding more. It can get really costly for the other workers. But that is up to you if you think they’re worth it to you. I just know for me, two has been fine. A lil tight a few times, but otherwise they don’t do too much.

Seth I agree with Bunny. First I check the Addicts page to see which builds are needed to move along in an event so I can prioritize accordingly. When there are multiple items that require building I will typically use one worker for the long builds and the other for the shorter time builds. So if something comes up I know I will have at least one worker available within a few hours not overnight. I use this method when new land is added as well; one worker clearing land and the other one building a dwelling.

I don’t like the single use firemen. Since they don’t come back out and we have to train a new one after every fire it suggests the previous fireman didn’t make it. It would be much better if we just needed to resupply the fireman we already have. That would make a lot more sense to me than sending a guy to fight a fire and he doesn’t come back out over and over. I don’t mind that we have to get items for them every time or the wait. Yeah it’s a game… yeah it’s Family Guy… but it’s been bugging me as I keep sending them running like a cheetah to a burning building and they don’t seem to come back. If they just showed the fireman walking back to the academy when done I think the rest of the setup would be good to go as-is. I will message them.

In the Family Guy universe, I would assume that the volunteer firefighters just go back to their regular 9-to-5 jobs after their stint trying to put out a fire. Or else they trot off to the Drunken Clam for a cold one.

I like smooshing fires, kind of like smooshing tribbles, but I absolutely refuse to grind this event, so if I get the skins, I get the skins. Regardless, I still wind up with cool buildings, and decorations, plus I get to smoosh things!
O also put a box of dynamite in front of the abandoned warehouse, maybe it will blow it up!

Also, I am slightly confused. Is the only way to get a fire chief, and therefore kill off the extreme fire creature, buying him with clams? So, am I correct, you can only kill off the red ones, but not the blue ones unless you drop 5 bucks??

What am I missing? I am looking at the description and one of them says I need 6 hats,which as far as I know now you can only get with a fire chief killing an extreme fire monster, and and the other says I need 6 jaws of life, which requires either buying the building, or killing purple monsters, which I don’t have in my game..

Oh, I think I get it, not the description in the actual game, but in your description. So maybe further down the line there will be a way to get to the boxes that will not require a clam purchase, it is just not available yet. Oy, I feel like an impatient moron! *chuckle*

Ok been going at those fires pretty hard now. I cheated and unlocked all 5 poles. So far, I have not been able to get ahead of the fires or the angry men. The fires are regenerating as fast as I can make the fire men and same with the angry fire and the captians. about 5 seconds after I put them all out, one will reappear, and before all of my guys are done in the station, there will be the same number of fires available to put out.
I’ll be doing 5 firemen for the next 3-4 hours, then when it’s bed time, I will train 5 captians. I’ll let you guys know in the morning my results.

This may seem like a very basic tip, but when I originally was trying to put out the brush fires, I was just looking for fire. Then I realized that I had missed several that were hidden behind buildings. Now I look for the smoke.

You have to use them. You can only have ONE per pole. So use one on a fire to open it up to train a different person… like the Captain.

You just are unlocking the option to use him on any of the poles. You will still need 2 Gas Cans for each training session.

They mix n match Characters in the FaceSpace areas. They will come and go. They usually show their for an Event, but may not show in the collections area later. What you can do is use the Character itself to go to their FaceSpace page. Tap on them, use the link at the bottom of their pop up by their name. For instance, I just tapped on Hayley running around in my game, at the bottom is her name with the FaceSpace icon. I tapped on it… BOOM. On her FaceSpace profile.
So it is ONLY the Character Collection you may not be seeing anymore. 😉

Well, right now, the only way to get a mystery box is with a fire chief hat, and the only way to get the chief is with clams, so technically, the mystery box is a clam purchase. The jaws of life are only currently available, in my game at my level, if you purchase the counseling center for 125 clams, so again, no clams, no mystery box.

Right now, yes… but as I noted in this post under the Mystery Boxes… MORE is coming. So you do not HAVE to spend the Clams on them, just wait. More options on the horizon. TinyCo just loves to “phase” new stuff in each week. 😉

Love the fact all but one building is bought by coins,the oil pipe deco is gonna make some great patterns in my game,dirt cheap as well. Put 2 building fires out so far and by morning (uk) I’ll have the next fireman up to rid the fire demon things,enjoying this event already.

This is the most counter-productive event that Tinyco has ever done. You need to get stuff to unlock Chris’s alt but yet need the same stuff to fight fires and such and you use that stuff up at the same time. They should have had different drops for the alts.

Fire extinguishers are easy. Fires are set to alway drop those. It’s everything else that’s a pain. There’s too much needing everything for everything and in a short, less than two week span.

Saw a couple people comment about not being able to clear the fires because characters are in the way. Click on the smoke instead of the fire. Works for me!

How do I get axes? I need them to unlock the third pole but the only way to get them is using a fire chief but I need axes to unlock him… And I need him to fight the red fire creature…

Go to one of the first poles. Send the Captain once you get some Gas Cans. Captain kills Angry ones. Angry ones drop Axes. 😉

I guess im dumb cause I don’t get it either. I tap the fire dude, it says to send the captain, so I try. It then sends me to the same pole screen. And I’m left needing axes to get axes. A paradox!

Go to Fire Pole #1. If there is a Firefighter already in progress there… wait. Once he is gone, next time choose the Captain option. It will cost you 2 Gas Cans. Then he can battle the Angry Flaming one. Then you get Axes. 😉

My game isn’t crashing but the bugs have begun, earlier I went to place the fire truck but didn’t have room for it so I set up the tasks and planned to make room for the truck later..
So now it’s later and I need to place the fire truck for the task, I clicked the button and it didn’t open the store, I did it two more times and then went to check the store directly and it’s suddenly gone from the store.
I sent them a bug report through the game, has anyone else notice the Fire Truck missing from their store?

At least this isn’t a big event where a new character is at risk with only so much time, and its not cumbersome like the pointless Quahog Brewery building. I am still miffed i missed out on Bird Peter, but i missed on Pee Pants when i first started out so it’s fine. I do hope i unlock Firefighter Brian though, just something about it sounds like a costume must-have. But it seems these fire creatures go from red to blue and back, thus the clam unlock isn’t neccessary, nor is firepoles 4 and 5 unless you’re just impatient (much like upgrading the worker bunks). Honestly, its good that 3 of 4 things for Chris’s new costume aren’t character actions. A good step in the right direction.
There should be some way to clear up the roads so characters dont need to be stored when they block our ability to put out fires, some people don’t wanna store those character as SOMETIMES the costumes don’t show an action that drop it unless the character is out of storage.

Nevermind! I completely closed out of the app, and when I rebooted it, the fire truck was there! So maybe people who aren’t seeing it should close the app and restart.

Just like a couple of other guys posting comments in here, I have the same problem – the fire truck is missing from my shop as well. It looks like it’s definitely a glitch in the game, because it was there when the event started (I just chose not to purchase it immediately, as I have limited money and wanted to wait a while before prioritising my purchases), but a couple of hours and one log-in later – it’s gone! Yes, I’ve checked the decorations tab, yes my game is 100% fully updated and yes, I’ve checked the App Store. I got Chris to do the Fat Kid Hula Hoop, but I can’t complete “Fire in the Hole Pt. 4” because I can’t purchase the bloody fire truck. Even if I click on GO next to “Get the Quahog Fire Truck”, nothing happens (it normally takes you straight to the required item in the shop).

I am in the event. Already put out 2 fires, have 2 firemen created. The next quest asks me to buy the Quohog firetruck. It is not in my menu. I have looked and looked. I thought it was in decorations. Its is not there. Is this another glitch? or do I earn it somewhere else? 🙂

I’m in fire in the hole pt.4 and I can’t get fire truck. Anytime I hit the task, nothing happens. I saw the fire truck from the store before, but not anymore. it’s gone. Anyone has same issue?

My game keeps crashing no matter what I do in the game it crashes. I’ve made sure I am up to date & I have re started my phone nurmous times it still is acting up! =(

Not sure if a glitch, but I cannot see the Quahog Fire Truck anymore, and can’t purchase it to continue one of the tasks. I’ve looked in my inventory and it’s not there either. I saw it before and tapped on it, but didn’t place it in my town.

I can tap two fires and then game crashes. The extinguishers count but frustrating. I force stopped, cleared cache, clear data and uninstalled reinstalled, any other suggestions. Strong wifi, phone charged. No update available for me

If anyone is curious about the spawn rate for the brush fires so far this is what I have seen…
5 spawn every 5 minutes.
However, the max at once seems to be 12. So if you only go into your game, lets say, every hour you will only see 12 appear.
So right now it seems best to visit the game every 10 mins to rake in a whopping 60 brush fires an hour!
But, hey. For all i know this is a happy glitch bc it sure is a QUICK spawn rate lol 🙂
How is everyone else doing with this? Anyone seeing any other results? Numbers? 🙂
