–WHAT THE DEUCE….Totally random but I recently got a new phone. And when I tried to get into TQFS, I was completely locked out of my game! Just wouldn’t work on my new phone…although my old phone still would. (PS it works now…very random)
–WHAT THE DEUCE….is next weekend seriously Memorial Day already?! Before we know it it’ll be Christmas!

Wtd, how the hell do I get rid of my brewery items? It is so annoying having my characters still able to perform actions to get items for the Pawtucket quest line even though I got everything. Then it gets in the way of future quest item chances etc. how do I get rid of this/is there a way to get rid of it?!

Build all items to their “limit”. Tap on italic “i” for info to see limit amount. Materials will keep dropping until you complete them to the limits.

WTD as much as I love this event I’m starting to get worried we are having a fire fighter event and when I woke up this morning the manhole on my corner was on fire , the game is becoming real 😳

Why is this game so huge? Every time it updates, I have to delete other apps from my tablet in order to keep playing. Why is there never a few days between events? I was planning on nuking my town and redesigning it after Star Trek, but there’ve been two new events already and I haven’t had a chance.
Also, WTD is with Captain Picard’s voice? It doesn’t sound like him, or even someone trying to imitate him.

WTD TinyCo. When are all these premium characters going to do something to help us in events. Many many clams spent just to have some character sit in the bank at max level. Even if the drop chance was extra rare for the helpful items needed (like the harnesses) at least you would feel like you didn’t waste your money!

WTD the fire quest seem very fun but so many new buildings but none of them is help dropping items..
any tips on the fire extinguisher, since we need 30 for Chris and also need for putting out the fire?

There are no real tips for fire extinguishers, just tap on the fires. You get an extinguisher every time and they spawn a couple every miniute or so. You’ll have more than enough extinguishers 🙂

WTD! I need more land! Way more land! I could probably use double the land currently unlocked for the game! Why so stingy with the land! Where in the heck am I supposed to put all these buildings! and Trinkets! I already have no room for roads! I NEED MORE LAND!

I don’t really have a WTD for the game. Maybe why the hell would they choose to make a skin like that for Chris. No one wants to see that, even more than all of Peter’s weird skins. Nasty.
My real WTD though is I was putting a drink into my hotel’s refrigerator and instead found some moldy carrots. There was a container in there too, but after seeing those carrots I could not bring myself to see what was inside or touch it to throw it out. But really, how hard is it to check a fridge before letting a customer into a room? And we’re having rolling blackouts at the hotel. I know that’s not their fault, but still. Ha, I guess I should just be happy that when I turn the tv on all the lights don’t turn on which did happen to me once in an even crappier hotel.

Oh I know what that’s like. I saw a thing on the news, and believe it or not super 8 was the cleanest hotel out of many chains they tested. Even all the fancy hotels were gross. At least your fridge is contained, you wouldn’t believe what they found on the light switches and stuff. Eww. Sometimes though, you get a cheap run down hotel for dirt cheap, and the staff seem to actually care, more on a personal level. I spent a lot of time in hotels and this was quite often the case. New does not mean clean lol. Also sometimes cheap just means nasty lol

I too will ask for a square well 6 squares is what Im after at least! Oh and wtd….I would like to sell or just dump all my glass office buildings please. I have about 250 poinsettia that I have no use for as well. This fire event is tough! I spent a pile of clams on star trek so tring to do this one with none. My internet can not managed to hold onto a connection for more than 15 minutes. WTD Fairpoint.
After 3 events in a row where I failed to get the major prizes despite playing constantly I am pretty BURNT out on this game. I hope this event relights my FIRE, but somehow I feel it will be more of the same. WTD Tinyco
Despite having the highest year of sales ever in my department and staying extra and working extra days while a competitor was on strike (while my manager took 2 weeks vacation) I got a horrible review and have my job threatened. WTD work.
My Goddaughter has finished her first degree and is getting married in a year. I swear just yesterday she was crawling over to watch Toy Story. WTD Time.

I am sick and tired of my game not recognizing I sent characters on tasks 1 hour or 8 hours after I sent them. I do everything I know of after I send them to do something…which isn’t much, but I make sure they’re in place, I go to another town, I give it time (up to 10 minutes), I have even been known to sign out and sign back in to make sure everyone is where they need to be (all looks good)…only to sign back in later and see them just walking around, enjoying the (smokey) air. So annoying. I want to throw my tablet.

Mine’s been doing this too, for over a month now. I lost out on a lot of drop items in the Star Trek and bird beard events because of that.

This game totally fails with regards to reliable transactions which is terrible. At least a few seconds after issuing a command it must be securely saved to the server. More so if I exit through the exit prompt. If there are unsaved things waiting, the game must alert the player to the fact. Everything else is completely unacceptable. The technology underneath TSTO is quite obviously much more robust than TinyCo’s as commands are already saved even if the game crashes just milliseconds within the command execution. And crashes have become extremely rare lately, something that I unfortunately can’t say about TQFS.

If we’re going to choose tsto would just like to say that even ea have annoyed me during this terwilliger event as even after I go to a neighbour/visit krustyland and everyone seems ok I still come back later to find a couple that aren’t on their action :S family guy has always been fine for me, so I don’t know, what happens with this.

I have (so I thought) put fireman on burning houses at least 10 times and have so far only had gas cans drop maybe 5 times. I thought it was supposed to be always.

Also WTD why can’t we hoard up on firemen I would like to trAin a lot so when I do need them I can use them but I can only have two at a time (until I unlock the 3rd) grrr I get only have 2 spots to train the firemen but why can’t I have more then 2 boo!!

Bird beard Peter item drops. How did I manage 20/20 “rare” blue birds but only 13/25 “uncommon” fuchsia birds. Messed up!
TinyCo began bird beard quest on a friday evening and ended it the following Thursday afternoon-Giving us less than 6 days to complete the event. Then the fire event began some 20-21ish hours later. Why the downtime between events? I feel they should have ran back to back like the star trek phases-where phases1-6 were released weekly. If they ran consecutively more people would’ve been able to get bird beard Peter-and had the event ran a full 7 days instead of barely 6 I probably would’ve gotten bird beard! People will always complain abt something but I imagine there’d have been fewer complaints if those wtds were addressed…

WTD too many of you are crying that there’s so many events. You do realize 10 times that amount would be ranting if they actually took a break for longer than 2 days. Be glad tinyco gives us so much instead of whining about that. Gripe about more legit things like why it takes me so long on the toilet….

I’m quite enjoying this one! I seem to have plenty of land. I have, however, collected 815 fire extinguishers already (plus a few axes, gas cans and braces) so I should have Chris done by the end of the weekend.

Took basically until the last day to get BB Peter, and then can’t finish the quest lines – shades of SSO Peter all over again!

WTD why so many events all at once and during exam week of all weeks, I couldn’t get bird beard Peter because I had revise for biology and chemistry and the music industry test and still have a physics, maths and English test to come, so now I have to get firemen while revising ‘Of Mice and Men’ for English mock exam and a whole lot of physics including seismic waves, electromagnetic spectrum and whole lot other stuff my brain is going to go into full meltdown and also have to learn more music guitar tabs for a cd I’m making for music now, and I have school for another week, literally there is only so much a 15 year old can do.

Had to agree with this one! I finally got so mad that I did sort of the opposite of what the ideal would be. I used the nuclear option and only pulled back out what was needed for all my characters tasks. I have no idea why in my insane head this made me feel better, but it did. If I can’t have everything out, than I will barely have anything!

Not sure if you can’t help me with this but I’ve been thinking about it for awhile now so I’m finally going to ask… I built my Quahog so that I can see every piece of road and almost every inch of sidewalk so naturally I have a LOT of things stored in my inventory. This has allowed me not to worry about having enough land for all my buildings since we really never will anyway. Currently I store buildings mostly based on aesthetics but I also want to consider revenue generators. My banked $ always takes a big hit when new Districts open and I have to buy land. Is there somewhere on your site where I can easily find which buildings generate the lowest revenue so I can store those and leave the higher revenue buildings in my Quahog?

WTD! The firefighter and startrek events have brought us tons of buildings and decos. But where am I supposed to put all of this!? We need more land because I don’t want to remove all of my roads coz that wouldn’t look like Quahog! Plus my stuff is getting lonely and cramped in my inventory 😥

Event after event after event…. I would have thought after the 2 month grind fest that was star trek, they would have taken a break, but noooo, straight into grinding for birds. Okay, now a break? Nooooo, straight into this event. Come on, I understand that many people have finished all the districts and have all the characters, but some of us just started playing a short while ago, and still need to obtain main characters and finish districts, or when we need birds, we get banana peels! grrrrrrr! And seriously? A building that dwarfs the entire town dedicated to matchsticks, especially when land is at such a premium anyway? And having to put away my tribbles, borg kitteh, and Spot so I could put out fires for fire extinguishers? I miss my tribbles!
On a positive note, they are selling things for in game currency, not just clams, and the prices are reasonable, so that is a good thing, but still, grrrrrrrr! *chuckle*

wtd: I need fire extinguishers to unlock Chris and also needed to make fire men, and these are essential to get cans which are needed to create other fire men and also to unlock Chris, and so on… really???? better change this tinyco 😐 this game mechanic is horrible.

**Begin rant** Dude, I agree! It seems TinyCo doesn’t learn! They give us a TIMED event like this, and then require MULTIPLE items for the same thing! Really? It’s BS and I’m getting fed up with it. And this is not a novice, I’ve been playing the game almost since it released. I have bunches of my maxed out characters in inventory because they’re no use right now. My choice, yes, but how about utilizing some. How much sense does it make that the ONLY way you can acquire the gas cans is to clear the building fire, and to acquire the firefighter axe you have to clear the Angry Fire Creature, for which you need the “Fire Captain” to do so, who can’t be created WITHOUT the gas cans. TinyCo, give us some characters who will drop this stuff. Since the name of the game is The Quest For Stuff, why sometimes to you guys make it next to impossible? Geez! **End of rant.**

You will get soooooooo many brush fires getting fire extinguishers for both Chris & the firemen won’t be a problem. I now have 200+. Using my gas cans to get fire captains so I can get axes is a pain. THEN I have to decide if I want to use those axes to either get fireman Chris or open up a third pole. Decisions, decisions.

I can’t put off some of little fires because I either select the building behind them (max zoom even) or there’s a character with a visual action that overlaps it (sometimes quite a long distance).
When does this event end, so I know if I should bother with it? There’s a cascade of item needs. Extinguisher for Chris, but need Extinguisher for Fireman. Fireman puts out house fire, give me Gas Canister, which Chris needs, but so does the Fire Captain. Chris needs axes, which the Fire Captain drops when killing Orange Fire Monster.
Basically, to get Chris I need to get the axes first, and then I’ll be able to get the Gas Canisters he needs. But I need axes to unlock the 3rd fireman training slot. In this waterfall of items axes aren’t easy to come by.
It’s a strategy game set to “hard” difficulty.

Ends MAY 27th 3PM PDT. Found it now in the previous article (which I went to read after this one). Without doing any calculations, I feel like I shouldn’t care about it. I’ll still play it, but I’ll put my thinking energy into something else (or turn it off altogether and give it a break).

My complaint this week: back to back to back events – there’s to much going on. I was looking forward to having a bit of breathing time to redecorate my little town, and now there is so much more to squeeze in. Well, at least so far this latest event seems do-able without to much worry. And the freemiums seem to outweigh the premiums up to this point.

Sick of events, I was enjoying farming coins for more land and then yet another event drops. I would love a month without events so I’d have most of the land to the left side cleared

What the deuce… Crashing so often after a couple of minutes of play, it’s gotten ridiculous, so I decided last night to put away all of my characters that were maxed out on levels and didn’t contribute anything to the current event. The thought was that with all of the buildings and characters, there were just too many counters for my phone (htc one m8) to handle or too much animated goodness. Was still crashing pretty much every time I played, forcing me to load the game 3 or 4 times to get done what I want… Put Lois away after her little quest completed and the crashing seems to have stopped. I don’t want to bring her back out for fear I’m just having some really good luck for a change and don’t want to anger the gaming gods… Anyone else having crash issues may want to try it and see if she is bugged or I just got lucky.

A couple things I wish we could have in the game. 1. More space to unlock so we can put everything. 2. Be able to share any of our stuff to our neighbors like in other games like FarmVille. 3. Have much more time on things so people could finish we can’t all be playing this game 24/7. Lastly be able to buy some of the cool stuff like the vehicles or people going down the streets & other cool stuff with coins instead of it always being claims. =)

Soo there’s that fire event going on. To unlock Chris’s skin I need axes. The only way to get axes is to kill these fire monsters. The only way to kill these fire monsters is with a firefighter, and to unlock the firefighter I need axes so how in the world am I supposed to do that

Just hopping in to help a lil… there is actually a Captain in pole one that can battle angry creatures to get axes. He only needs gas cans. Regular Firefighters snag Gas Cans when putting out a fire. Hope that helps. 😉

Nothing game related but I just need to vent – What the deuce?!? Some A@*?#@e hit my husbands car at a stoplight last night and then sped away! Hubby was OK so he came home. We then called the cops to report the incident and prosecute the guy and were told since he didn’t call “from the scene”, that they can’t help us even though he got the plate # and description of the car!!! They won’t let us make a report!!! So our only choices now are to live with the damage, pay out of pocket, or take the hit on our own insurance. This really sucks!!

WTD??? that doesn’t seem right. I would call or go to the station personally and seek another detective or officer.

I agree with bunny. It’s possible you crossed police department Lines. Make sure you call the PD where the actual incident happened. If the officer says the same thing park your car on the street and call in the same report saying it happened in front of your house lol. They are obligated to contact the guy if you have a license plate number. If he/she denies it I’m not sure what would happen but still worth a shot. Sucks he couldn’t get a witnesses number

I’d lean to an attorney too. At least they can legally advise you. Most will do a free consultation.

I agree with bunny. Go to the police department in person and talk to someone else. My ex husband did a hit and run but turned himself in later. The police said if the people he hit report it in the future, he could get in real trouble for hitting and running. Try again! But also, always call from the scene regardless if they run or not. good luck!

Happened to me once. The guys license plate fell off when he hit me. I pulled to the side of the road and called the police. The officer told me that I was the one to leave the scene because I pulled off the road. He said if I kept asking him about it, he would give me a ticket for leaving the scene, and another for stealing a license plate off a car. That was the day I swore to never trust an officer again.

I believe you but it still boggles the mind. I think the world would be a much better place if those in positions of authority (regardless of how much) didn’t lead with their egos and had more compassion. I imagine it would be a wonderful place without starving or hungry children. senseless killings or prescription drugs passed out like candy.

Thats classed as a hit and run it shouldn’t matter if it wasnt reported from the scene as long as it was within an hour or 2 of the incident… bring the car to the station and report it to the chief

Thanks! You guys are all so sweet. Get this – we went to the main station in our town today to try and report it and they were CLOSED!! I kid you not! There was a sign on the front door that said that the hours are 8-5 Monday to Friday!! I said What the Duce to my husband who said, “Well it’s good to know that evidentially no crimes occur here on the weekends!” I am going to go over there on Monday morning… You know, this is so ridiculous that I can’t even stay pissed about it…

What the deuce? Can we get a break? I quit playing TSTO because it became way too involved and it just wasn’t fun anymore. TQFS is still fun and I’ve loved the events but the amount of time required to play the game is starting to become a little too much for me and I know I’m not alone.

I agree after borg Bertram and the long star track event, which seem to start out very very slowly and then hit us like a hot brick as soon as the Bertram thing came along which I thought was cool but reminded me of the Yeti and I knew that there was no way that I would be getting Captain Kirk without waking up every 4 hours to try to keep killing guy. so I definitely agree for you and say give us a break sometimes make this game playable for people who are also have lives and have to go to work and cannot spend every waking hour of the day trying to win these ridiculous things that are on the table and less you pay money I do love the game I do have fun but there’s so many things that prevent me from really enjoying it and I think it should be able to be played by all regardless of spending clams on ridiculous characters

i think 750 clams for Kool-Aid Man is a bit high. I spent a TON of real money on the Star Trek event and still couldn’t get Uhura or Kirk…the price of the characters is becoming steeper and steeper. Even the clams needed to unlock them is getting pretty high. 😦

They base it on when he was originally released and what it cost Players at that time to outright buy him. Like in Star Trek Data was 1400+ Clams to outright buy. They want to make it fair to those that spent that amount then to get him vs those wanting to buy him now. Hope that makes sense.
Maybe they’ll find a way in the future to offer some “sales”. 🙂

Why have so many characters available for purchase (with high clam prices) when we all want to do is earn them through quests? Quests make the game fun! I’d rather have the chance of earning a character whether it takes me one month or one day. All I ask is that when there are simultaneous quest lines running for multiple characters, that the quest lines don’t use the same people to earn items. There are plenty of characters to go around that they don’t have to double up on their item earning duties. Share the wealth, not share the burden!

I’m only two month into this game and I’m fairly certain I’ve got things down pretty well. I took that star trek event like a champ and I even managed to get bird beard peter. Here is my problem……I’m in the middle of getting putershmit (massacred that spelling I know) and stewie. All of the jewels I got disappeared when I got all I needed for putershmit. How come that happened?

There are items that more than one Character may use. So watch for those instances. Like in the fire event right now. Axes, extinguishers, etc can be used by more than one person.
So you have to make a choice… WHO gets the items currently earned. If you have two Characters needing a total of 50 together, but only have 30 … you will still need 20 more so they both can have them. Does that make sense?
So do you have someone else in the game that also needed the jewels and you used the jewels for them first? If so, you still need to earn more for the other.

I was not previously someone who complained about the lack of land. But after the Star Trek event, I’ve had no choice but to start storing things in my inventory. But even with all that…how can TinyCo have the wherewithal to include the Matchstick Factory into the Fireman questline. That thing is a MASSIVE 10×9 item. It’s quite possibly the largest building in the game.
One might say that it’s just throwing more fuel on the fire. LOL.

What the deuce? I’m having loading issues this morning, but the load error is an empty config file, which has to be on their end, so I am not going to try uninstalling yet. It is possible they updated something the the file didn’t get included correctly. Tried to contact them, but it wouldn’t go through, so guessing they are already getting loads of feedback. Still….so much for my morning ritual of coffee and FG.
BTw…as an amusing aside…. I have been playing a lot on my front porch. We have in our neighborhood birds that immitate sounds from the neighborhood. Yesterday while walking to the bus stop I heard them do a car alarm, kids screaming…..and the sound of Tribbles being crushed in my game. 😀

If there is an issue in your game, especially a corrupted file… uninstalling will usually fix that. Also, check the App Market. Make sure you have the latest update.
Empty config is actually something on YOUR side majority of the time. I see it now and then. A restart of my device usually helps. If not, uninstall/reinstall does. But I also have my game linked to Facebook to make sure my progress is always saved, so it makes uninstall easy as I just reinstall, play to pop up the menu, then go to account, log back in, LOAD my saved game file… then back in action. 😉

I clicked thier support button, filled in the form, hit send, then it sat there then failed. Multiple times. Both on my iPad and my laptop. That is usually a symptom of busy servers.
If something isn’t included correctly or there is corruption when uploading updates it will do that. I tried restarting, even doing a reboot on my iPad with menu plus power button. As it was stuck in that error loop I couldn’t get it to go past it to load whatever updates were there. I even cleared my cache on the off chance they actually store something there that was stuck. What actually resolved this issue was going to the app store, checking for new updates (I had to do it manually, as it thought I already downloaded them) and downloading again. Not a fan of the uninstall/reinstall, so avoid it when possible. I wasn’t expecting any resolutions here. Thought we were just venting the frustrations. 🙂 On the main I haven’t had issues with it. Just not something I felt like troubleshooting pre caffienation. 😀

Vinnie is one of the few people walking around my town I despise, I know he was nothing more then an extended guest star on the show, but I find him totally useless with very very limited number of tasks and very short tasks at that.
I had high hopes for him when he 1st appeared.

Every time you switch to fire chief to get the axes needed for Chris, it uses up gas cans which Chris also needs. Talk about burning the candle at both ends! Better off going for the third firepole and then going back to get Chris. Plus, it’s taking forever for Bonnie, Jerome, etc., to drop the suspenders so it looks like Chris is going to take a while anyways. And I don’t have enough clams to get the other two firepoles, either.

If you earn gas cans from putting out the building fires but then you spend them on training the fire captains, they will be subtracted from your Chris total. I currently have 0 gas cans because I’ve spent them all on training the captains so I can use them to get axes. Once I have my 7 axes for Chris, then I’ll stop training the captains so I can start building up the gas cans. HTH.

WHAT THE DEUCE??!!! I am SO beyond tired of seeing people compare this game to The Simpsons Tapped Out!!! I don’t give a **** that they are shows off the same network, but I feel like it the comparison is rather unfair…. It is like comparing CNN news to PBS news!! EA is a HUGE company, making just about every home video game(ps1,2,&3) that we have ever owned. Obviously, Tinyco is not as big & doesn’t have the same resources that EA has. People need to either shut up about it or get a reality check!!! *Steps off the soapbox & struts away like a champion* 😜

My game won’t stop crashing. I’ve Uninstaller and reinstalled, reset my phone, abs it just won’t keep running or saving my progress. I have an s5 as an fyi.
