Hey there all you Mafioso!
This Mobster Event has brought a strange new twist into our silly lil games and I for one am excited to see how it all plays out. It is a mix of Individual Goals as well as some Fun Competition.
In this post I will be breaking down the ins n outs of the Leaderboards.
HOW DO I SEE THE LEADERBOARDS?
In order to get to the Leaderboards, your quickest route will be the Trophies Icon in the Lower Right Corner of your game screen. Tapping on the icon will jump you right into them.
Once in there you will see all the different Tabs for information on the Leaderboards. As you bounce round the Leaderboard, you will see many options that travel with you from Screen to Screen.
Top Left & Center: Your Current Rank, followed by how recently ago that Rank was Updated.
Bottom Center: You will find a quick arrow up and arrow down option to jump to the Player Ranks through all the Top Tiers.
Bottom Right: You will see a Countdown to how long before the Leaderboard refreshes.
INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD
This is a where you will see all the Prizes YOU can win in the game by collection Fedoras (Mob Rep). As you hit a Goal, you will see a Pop Up in your game telling you to “GO” Claim your Prize.
Tapping in it will take you to the Individual Leaderboard so you can tap on “CLAIM” and bring the Prize into your game.
Note: Some of the items will NOT instantly add. For instance, the 750 Cookies were there in my town when I returned. Similar to how they look when they pop out after a task completion. It only took a moment for the game to collect them for me and Update my Cookie Counter. You can also tap on them to collect them if you do not want to wait. Other items may be found in your Inventory Storage, so check there for them when you return.
WHAT PRIZES CAN I EARN FROM THE INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD?
There are a total of 10 Prizes you can get by hitting the Goals for the Fedoras (Mob Rep). As you collect Fedoras to increase your Mob Rep, you can Claim each one of these at the Mob Rep Amount listed. Here are those items.
Prize 1, 250 Cookies: Earn 100 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 2, 10 Clams: Earn 500 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 3, 750 Cookies: Earn 1,000 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 4, Fake Romatic Gondola Ride: Earn 2,500 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 5, 25 Clams: Earn 5,000 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 6, Chainsaw Henchman: Earn 7,500 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 7, Security Octopus: Earn 10,000 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 8, Gurl Scout Headquarters: Earn 12,500 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 9, Mafia Dinner Table: 15,000 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 10, Kingpin Consuela: 17,500 Fedoras (Mob Rep). Side Note: If you reach 17,500 Mob Rep, you will not only get the Kingpin Consuela Costume but the CHARACTER Consuela too. That is a HUGE savings in Clams.
So just continue to earn as many Fedoras as you can to increase your overall Mob Rep to hit the Individual Prize Payouts.
GLOBAL LEADERBOARD
This is where you can see a complete list of the Prizes that will be awarded to Top Mob Rep Counts at the END of the Mobster Event.
As these Prizes will not be awarded until the End, the information is limited but we will still cover the basics.
The game will let you know what ONE Prize you’re current Rank “Qualifies” you for as well as others close by.
WHAT ARE THE GLOBAL PRIZES?
The Prizes awarded AFTER the Mobster Event ends will be given out by TinyCo. Only ONE Prize per Player. This means no one will get all 10 Prizes. They will only be awarded the Prize they end up ranked at and verified by TinyCo AFTER the Event.
Again, due to these will not be awarded until AFTER the Event the information on them is limited.
Rank 1-100: Don Corleone & Golden Griffin House & Zoot Suit Stewie
Rank 101-1,000: Don Corleone & Silver Griffin House & Zoot Suit Stewie (NOTE: The “Qualified! Tag was just MY standing when the Leaderboards went live.)
Rank 1,001-5,000: Don Corleone & Bronze Griffin House & Zoot Suit Stewie
Rank 5,001-10,000: Don Corleone & Zoot Suit Stewie
Rank 10,001-50,000: Zoot Suit Stewie
Rank 50,001-100,000: Corleone Mansion
Rank 100,001-250,000: Horse Head on Bed
Rank 250,001-500,000: Driveby Car
Rank 500,001-750,000: Don Corleone’s Cat
Rank 750,001-1,000,000: Godfather Toll Booth
Looking at these stats, it seems that at LEAST 1 Million Prizes will be awarded. That’s a LOT. Beyond that, we will just have to wait and see how it plays out. Til then, it should be a fun mix of competition to add to the game for those that want to go for it.
MAIN LEADERBOARD
The Main Leaderboard Tab will take you to the overall Mob Rep Status of 3 Different Areas.
You: This Tab is where you will see your current Mob Rep Ranking in the game. Tapping on it will immediately locate YOUR spot in the Ranks. 
Top 50K: This Tab is where you will see the top 50,000 Players Ranked Highest Currently in Mob Rep. You can scroll up and down to see the names and Mob Rep amounts.
Friends: This Tab is where you will see your Friends/Neighbors Mob Rep ranking in comparison to yours IF you have your game linked via Facebook.
Now that we have the Basics out of the way, let’s dive in a little deeper into the details of the Leaderboards.
HOW DO I GET MORE MOB REP/FEDORAS?
They are available to earn all over the game. Tasks, Questlines, Raids, Buildings, Decorations, etc. So see what options gives YOU the most for the time you put into the game and earn you the most Mob Rep you can.
WHERE WILL I SEE MY TOTAL MOB REP/FEDORAS?
You can see the total amount in your main game by looking to the Lower Right Corner and the Trophies Icon. Your current Mob Rep Total will be displayed there. You can also see it listed at the Top Right Corner of the Leaderboards Pop Up.
The more Mop Rep you earn, the various Rank you will get in the Leaderboards depending on where the other Players competing stand too.
WHAT IS WITH MY NAME ON THE LEADERBOARD?
Each Player will be assigned a Unique and randomly generated Leaderboard Name. These Unique Code Names allow Players to compete against one another will protecting the Individual Privacy of the Players (as many may be using their real names via Facebook).
Take a few minutes to go through some of the names, they are pretty funny.
WHAT IS WITH THE ??? IN THE RANKS?
As the Leaderboard is being calculated, you will see a ? instead of a number. Give it time to refresh and once it is completed, it will update the ranks to the amounts.
I DON’T SEE MY GLOBAL RANK UPDATED?
As this is a compilation of a LOT of Players, it will take much longer at times to refresh. Be patient with it due to it may take upwards of 5+ minutes to refresh the Current Rankings.
UPDATE: I just wanted to clarify for Players as it seems many of you are getting confused on the Ranks. YOUR Ranks will update quickly as you are in YOUR game and it can detect any changes to YOUR stats right away.
As far as the Ranks of you vs GLOBAL, those update around ONCE a day (see top of the Leaderboard to see what time it was last updated. If it is noon and it says “Last updated 6pm PDT”, it means the GLOBAL ranks were updated the night before. So wait for the new days update to see where you stand. They seem to hit between 3-6PM PDT when they update.
Otherwise you will just be bouncing around all day long in stats Globally. So going in there every minute will only tell you where YOU are as far as your friends/Neighbors. Not Globally.
Now for some areas of concern…
WHY HAVE I BEEN BANNED FROM THE LEADERBOARDS?
If you are seeing a message stating YOU have been banned from the Leaderboards, you will need to Contact TinyCo for further support.
Banned Players usually mean activity/behavior was detected on your account that violates the Terms of Use. In order to preserve the experience for all players, they are banning players who violate their Terms of Use from the Leaderboards permanently.
As this is NOT something to discuss publicly, we as well as Support can’t comment on specific disciplinary actions against specific players, or actions taken to limit exploits.
If you feel you were banned in error, Contact TinyCo for further support. A TinyCo Rep will review your game.

Hey for the past 2 days FG has been crashing, it won’t open the game but almost loads then goes back to my kindle menu.. Is anyone else having this problem? Only started happening since the leader boards became live on the Mob/mafia quest.. I’ve uninstalled it twice, turned power off and on quite a few times and still nothing ARGHH please help?

Just checked the leaderboards and wtf… how is it even possible for someone to have 16,000 mafia rep? Are they playing the same game as me? I’ve been playing regularly with all the characters that can earn and constantly have 6 goons creating at a time and I only have 777. I’ve been 1 cigar box away from unlocking the Fatfather for the last 2 days thanks to awful drop rates. Surely the premium content doesn’t generate that many more Fedoras.

Leave the policing to TinyCo. I have a feeling that we will see many names/leaders come and go all event long. Just play and have fun and see where you get in a few weeks. 🙂

Clams, clams, and more clams, that’s how. You can buy out Fatfather with clams instead of collecting. You can speed up character tasks and goons with clams. You can buy cookie machines with clams plus other things that might drop fedoras, or use the cookies. Just as in real life – them as has, gits.

FYI, your most accurate leaderboard score is your first login after the update. Check your stats before you collect any hats. This will reflect how you did the previous day against everyone else.

I think this really needs to be stressed. Reading the comments here it’s clear that people aren’t recognizing how the Leaderboard works. The number of hats you’ve collected goes up each time you collect hats, but the number of hats everyone else has collected is only updated once or twice a day. So it makes it look like you’re moving up the ranks pretty swiftly, only to be knocked back down to reality when everyone else’s scores are updated. At the top it says “Last updated 4:30pm PDT” (or some other time). So as Millj463, the only time the Leaderboard is actually accurate is right after whatever time it says the board was updated. If you check the board at 4:30pm it’s fairly accurate, but as soon as you start collecting hats then it’s no longer accurate.

Also, think about all the folks that are unable to even play right now. As soon as the glitches are fixed, and all the locked out players are able to get back in, the numbers are going to change radically as hundreds of people will be added to the boards. I would not waste too much energy in keeping track of your position until it is a more true reflection of what is.

Aw what the heck! I was ranked around 60-ish and i just found out that i can only win the prize that im qualify for. I don’t care much for zoot stewie cuz its just a costume that i probably never use and same goes for the skin of the house. Maybe the godfather but don’t care much for him either. I thought it was everything u can win up to where u r at. I really only wanted the mansion and the mob car. So now i should stop after all that clams i spent if i want the mansion? Thats not very good on tinyco part for doing that if they want people to spend clams. Now i just need to slow down and not spend anything if i want the mansion? That suck so bad. All that wasted clams.

It has always been ONLY ONE from the Global list. Sorry. Makes it so they can award Prizes to a Million Players vs just a handful. Almost like just about everybody at least gets something. Not to mention… you never know what will happen AFTER the event. The popular items may return. 😉

Well first its not ur fault, it was mine for not reading this event clearly. I was just so excited about the prize winning part. I also hope u r right about items returning cuz the mansion is so iconic not to mention it look awesome with the rest of the fg houses. Kudos for tinyco of thinking of new ways to play this game. Very refreshing and new cuz i was getting bored of the events playing the same way over and over. Got me excited all over again.

Lol, well that is the hopeful part of me. I think if all of the Players keep expressing their wants of getting the items they missed out on too… an option may just arise. Just like with Best Of 2014 and other items that have made a come back. 🙂
I like the Change too. Brings on a new level of competitiveness that I think adds another cool twist to the game. Something not forced, more “at your choice” participation. I also like the way they are policing it to keep it “fair to all”. They were VERY specific on that. 😉

Got the cigar box, yay, about *bleep* time. That’s around 60 attempts to get 5 items.
I dropped 40,000 places overnight, 40,000… I’m now at 57,900-ish, this isn’t going well. I might get Diabeto unlocked by next week’s update.

Please help, I am confused over the Leaderboard. When I open the Leaderboard it shows the You page and says I am ranked 54,148 with 839 hats but when I view the top 50k it says that from 17226 down to 50k are on 838 or less. This was the same last time I looked. I cannot believe that at next refresh I may jump over 37,000 places! Why it there such a big discrepancy on the numbers?

People are playing all over the world so stats and ranks are changing by the minute. Takes the game some time to sync up fully. So just wait or check back later.

Ok so deliberately taking an event and making the big endgame character only exclusive to about 10,000 players with no option afterwards for those who can’t pay their way to that route, that’s our punishment for not investing? So explain then the excuse for the Star Trek clam characters having no further use after the event ended? I see no incentive to spend money (not even my usual 20 bucks that i spent twice during the Trek event) when i KNOW that the return on that investment is a character that i’ll hope gives an advantage in later events, but won’t. It’s not fair to anyone but those who spend tons of money, and think how much time the free players put in to grind only to get shot down event after event. A deco? A costume? That’s not a reward when you dangle a character in someone’s face and then say “oh instead of you getting to spend clams and grind like other events, you’ll have to play like its Clash of Clans”. Let’s see if this leaderboard comes back next event, if TinyCo. is listening, it won’t.

So far I’ve liked everything Tinyco has put out, even some event systems that aren’t really that “popular” among players, but that has just been crossing the line. Making profit off the misery of others less fortunate then you and not giving hard earning free players even chance isn’t just to me favour. Does it really make the prize so much better, knowing that somewhere in the world there are tens of thousands of people who would’ve wanted it, but just fouldn’t get it cause of not having that much money to put into game. I’d have no problem working hard towards the goals or maybe even dropping a few clams, but I have no chance to compete with people with endless pockets. Truly, not a fun way to play and I hope that the leaderboard system will find an end, similiar to tapped out’s prize wheel, rather quickly.

I noticed on my “friends” that I visit section of the leaderboard I’ve jumped up a lot because the top 2 people are now at 0 mob rep. One I am very suspicious about how they have what they do in their town already but not my business. Does that mean tiny co has wiped their mob rep out and dropped them down? They went from being in the top ranking down to the lowest ranking now?

I really wished the leaderboards would update more often. When they first popped up, I was in the tier for Zoot Suit Stewie and right now it’s saying I’m in the tier for Don Corleon, Zoot Suit Stewie, and the bronze Griffin House skin and I want to stay there or at least be in rank 4 at the event’s end.

How often the leaderboards update will have no impact on your game, just play at the pace you are comfortable with. There is a month to go, the amounts of rep people will gain over that time will fluctuate.
You have no control over where you are in comparision to other people, certainly not at this early stage. Right near the end you might be able to push for a little burst of rep with clams, but doing it now is basically pointless.

Ive just seen 1st place on the leaderboard and there on over 11000 mob points how is this even possible in this little time?? Ive been pretty non stop with this event and only on 1500 mob points and thats setting alarms through the night but just cant see how first place is that far ahead does this seem abit fishy to you?

Depends on how they play and what they spend. I just shot up a LOT using another 1000 Clams. I would not worry over it, as it states in this post… TinyCo is watching the Ranks VERY closely… so allow them to do the “policing”. Don’t stress over it, they got it covered. 🙂

Now well into day 2 of no access whatsoever to the game, any chance of competing in this event has pretty much slipped away. Severely disappointed in TinyCo, never had a crashing issue go on this long, and to happen during a timed & competitive event… really bad.

It says it was last updated 6:30 PST. How do we know if it means today or yesterday? Also as I earn more fedoras I keep moving in rank, but I’m sure those ahead of me are earning too. Does the leaderboard update periodically throughout the day or just once a day? I’m trying to figure out how accurate my rank is lol

Be prepared for a major outburst when the board does refresh. I have moved up 7000 positions since last night with normal play. The board will update your individual total thru the day, but not the entire board. When it does refresh I expect to go down about 6500 positions. I really hope I’m wrong on this.

Lol. I was bumped up to #32 when mine did. It all depends on who they clean out of there and who plays where in the game to up the Mob Rep. People will go mad if it is looked at every 5 minutes. Better to just play, have fun, enjoy, then check it before bed each night. 😉

Then I’m guessing there is a glitch in mine. Using your example above tiny sack 70 and the blocked out name below it (lol) are still in the same position with the same fedora totals. I’m pretty sure that at least one of them has moved up. Will continue to watch it. Hopefully there will be a complete update at 300PDT or 630PDT like yesterday.

Don’t over analyze the Leaderboards. It takes time for them to update. I didnt wait for that update when I took it. Especially high peak times when players are all in there at once changing numbers by the minute.
I’d actually suggest just check it once a day before bedtime. 😉

Tiny Co needs to step up their game. Constantly I’ve tried to load the game and it force stops. I’ve contacted tiny Co hours ago and they have done nothing to help.. this is ridiculous how do you expect us to progress in the game if we can’t get on?? Total crap I’d say.

Hi, Here’s the partial solution to the issue that its working for me. First you need save your game with your google or facebook account the uninstall, install, open, login with your account that have your save game *Now you need to do this twice I don’t understand why but at the third time that you install and load the game it will run. Then wait until everything its load on your game *until you see the cookies amount*. After that start tapping your coins but a normal tapping not fast because that could close again the game. Then add the quests or characters to move on, and hire your goons, again dont click hire fast just one click hire maybe per second. Finally keep your phone inside the game and remove the sleep option or keep your phone charging if you can. Maybe you can do this when you are at home, the reason for this its because if the phone goes to sleep or energy saver you need to load the game again and Im 90% sure you will receive the login error again if that happens you need to start over the procedure. I have the issue but for the last day and a half this helps me to continue playing and advance in the game. Hope it works for until Tyco have a patch or a fix. TC.

Hey, I got an idea how to tweak this leaderboard system, so it’d stop being “I screw you over cause it’s beneficial to me” and more player friendly, while still being a challange. How about the prizes being awarded by the highest place you’ve obtained throughout the entire event? Lets say you got on the place 4000 during second week, but dropped down to 9000 by the final week – you’d still get the bronze griffin house this way and would still try to achieve the 100th place, so you could get the golden griffin house. That would leave way less disappointed players by the event and could also encourage premium users to spend clams to get a good position at least once. What do you think?

To me, that is like saying to give ANYONE that competes in the Olympics a Gold Medal. It starts to downgrade the point of having a fun competition if there is no reward for those that do invest a lot of time and/or money in the game to reach those top goals and continue to work to keep them, don’t you think? Everyone is getting a “participation” prize, the Individual ones. Multiple of them depending how far they get in their own game.
With 1 MILLION spots and prizes, I think it is still pretty fair the amount of Prizes they are giving out. Many Freemium AND Premium Players will get at least something for their efforts. That is still a LOT of stuff for your game by just playing. Not to mention a Clam Character for Free if you hit the final Individual Prizes goal. There is a lot being handed out on the Leaderboard.

Those who put lot of effort into it would still get the reward, but that’d just mean that more people will get the reward also. It’s just that by judging from my pointof view, I see that there’s a high possibilty that no matter how hard I work, the clam buyers will always have a chance to just walk over me and leave me without the prize I want the most. I’m often a perfectionist when it comes to games, working always towards the highest prize and still trying to get much of everything else as possible. From what I can tell from the leaderboard, I can work hard the entire event, only to get crushed in the competition by the premium players in the last week of the event, leaving all my efforts useless. I’m ready to put large amount of time into the game, if I know there are rewards to my efforts. I reduced my sleeping time to under 4h a day on the last week of the Star Trek event, only to get enough dark matter for the gold Bertram statue. I’d be willing to do this with these prizes also, but when it comes to fighting for my spot with hard work against people with large pockets, I just don’t see any option of winning for myself. I understand it’s kinda like real life – you can’t get what you want unless you’re better than someone else, but the people with largest amount of the money will always be the winners. I just want a chance, as a player. I don’t have option to buy clams to help me forward and those clams that I’ve obtained so far from working hard on events, I’ve been saving up to buy Bryan Cranston on his hopeful third return. I’d be willing to work hard for the prizes, but with the current way the leaderboards work, I just don’t see much hope.

heh, that Olympics analogy only works if the medal winners all BOUGHT their medals with clams.
It doesn’t show the results of competitive game play, it just shows who bought the most clam packs. I don’t begrudge them trying to make money off the game and at least they put up the individual prizes, but I’m not fooling myself about what it actually is.
The only way to have a truly fair leaderboard would be to link it to something that isn’t able to use clams to farm.

It’s actually a really good analogy. Olympic athletes spend LOTS of time and money to train and train and train. Focused on one main goal, winning the Gold (I personally know 4 Winter Olympic Athletes, all that did get Olympic Medals). Their entire life revolves around it. Day and night they eat, sleep, and drink it. Year round. You would not see someone get the Gold that just showed up that day. Some kind of effort has to be made to get to the top of Leaderboards.
There is MORE than one spot of Prizes in the Leaderboards. There are a MILLION. So many potential prizes. But those at the top will have to work for it. Whether its constantly in their game or working at their real life job to earn money to pay to buy what they need to get there. That is all I am saying, in order to be successful at the Leaderboards, you have to put SOMETHING into it. No matter if it is time or money. You get out of it what you put into it. And if those on top paid for it, so what? Shouldn’t someone that paid a LOT of money into the game that in turns keeps it running for the rest of the players be rewarded with something? Outside of that, TinyCo will still be watching for “illegal and suspicious” activity. So let them police it. Otherwise enjoy the game for its mechanics. Let’s not be the kid that got upset he landed on Park Place for the 3rd time and chucked the game board across the room. Games are supposed to be fun. So… have fun with a competition.

Yeah, I don’t like that idea either. You could do a really fast burst early on, spend some clams and get in the top 100, and then never play again the rest of the month. That’s not a fair way to do things. It is totally expected for your rank to go up and down and down and up throughout the month and it’s how you end that matters.

Well, you know, getting into the top 100 isn’t that easy. Not to mention the fact that the reason I suggested this idea was because right now free players don’t even have a chance to get the better prizes.

A free Character that cost me 600 Clams and others 300 Clams for just completing Individual goals along with Free Clams and many other prizes all seem like some great prizes for players that don’t invest anything into the game. 🙂

The free prizes seem kinda boring compared to the leaderboard prizes. Maybe Consuela for free would’ve been awesome, but just my luck, I have had spent my hard earned clams to buy her a long time ago already. Can’t really say she’s been that useful so far, so I’ll call it just dumping clams in the dumbster for now.
Couldn’t us who have Consuela get some extra bonus, just for buying her, before she was offered free on the leaderboard. It doesn’t have to be a clam refund, just maybe some good way to earn extra mob rep or maybe another free premium character once we reach that point? Consuela wasn’t really a cheap clam purchase, so it’d be well justified, considering I haven’t gained almost anything from her so far.

Any news if those of us locked out of the game will be compensated with event currency in some way? I’ve been locked out for about 48 hours now, and haven’t heard a thing from Tinyco yet. It’s going to be almost impossible to recover and compete for a decent ranking if this goes on much longer, let alone get the normal stuff like skins and characters.
Also, has the iOs app been affected by the crash? All the comments I’ve seen have been from Android and Kindle users.

There are ways to get mob rep up very high with moderate clams being spent and absolutely no cheating involved. The cookie truck raids give you rep and more cookies than the mobsters cost. The warehouse raids give you rep for each obstacle as you clear them as well as rep for clearing it completely. But there is a way to get a lot of rep in a short time if you want, spend your cookies instead of saving them for next week. My wife is mainly a freemium player and is near rank 10,000 with just the small cookie generator.

I will let you know once we reach that point. I got her for 600 Clams when the game first opened, then they dropped the price to 300. I have also seen her go on sale. So she has been all over the board since the launch of the game. 😉

Am i reading this right? If you achieve Kingpin Consuela then you also get the Consuela character free? How is this fair to those who already purchased her? I don’t have Cleveland, can i expect the same when his costume is released?

You can express your thoughts on that to them. I see both sides of the fence on that one. I bought her during BETA when she was 600 Clams. I have seen many prices on Characters come and go. Some I got for Free while others had to pay Clams. So I get it may cause annoyance to those that paid.
I do appreciate they are offering such an expensive Clam Character to players that work really hard to achieve that end goal. It is a cool idea. I hope they do things like that in the future, but with new Characters to the game. 😉

Off course those of us affected by the Consuela Safe house glitch are disadvantaged to the max. Every update, every event, new glitch and they seem to be far more prevalent on Android platforms. TinyCo are rapidly expending my patience.

I think some people may be reading the leaderboard bassakward … From what I can see, you start off at 10 and work your way to the 1st position (yeah, like that’s going to happen.)
I’ve already been knocked down from the headless horse bed to the ganster car. Even though I’m trying like crazy to get up there. Shy of plugging a pile of clams, I don’t think I’ll ever catch up. Pretty sure by the end of the game I’m going to wind up with another stinky cat wandering around my town *sigh*

I’m really not liking the leaderboard idea. It’s not fair to us who work long hard jobs and don’t have hours of free time as well as the average middle class person who can’t drop money and clams like the rest of the people who are ranking so high. The reason I started playing this game is so I could be equal to my peers who are playing and still get all the skins and decorations as everyone else does. This same concept is the reason I quit playing a lot of my other competitive games. Too many people have too much money/clams for an average person to stand a chance against everyone else.

You don’t HAVE to compete. I think it is a good idea for those that DO pay into the game. Those paying are the ones keeping the game alive, paying for all those cool new items in the game, helping cover high legal and copyright costs to get Character likenesses into the game. There are over 1 MILLION Prizes available, I think that many Premium AND Freemium will get something. 😉

Lol this guy, I work 8 hours a day 6 days a week during that 8 hours I can only play twice. 0 clams spent 1200+ mob rep, 4781 on leaderboards. It is possible set task according to when you can play.

I’m in the 130s in the leaderboard..and yes I can tell you LOTS of clams. In my case though it’s mostly just from testing stuff and rushing through the questline to get you guys the details.

I can understand why yourself & Bunny are spending so many clams at this early stage to feed us all information but why anyone else would spend so many clams in the first week of the event scares me. I guess if you’ve got the money and not a lot of time to dedicate to the game it makes sense, otherwise just to rush through things seems a waste of clams when you girls spend your clams to bring us this blog that gives you all the information you need. Not having a go at those who spend clams, I buy and drop some myself now and then, but it’s eye watering to think people are dropping this many in the first few days of an event, dread think what they will have spent by the end.
I quite like the leaderboard, I think it was brought in for 2 reasons, firstly to catch those with modified games and secondly because many players have been asking for one. I personally wasn’t one of those but now it’s here it adds a little bit fun to the collections, my only problem is I want Stewies costume but I’m also liking the look of the mansion, so I’m going to have to decide where I want to try and be at the end. Decisions Decisions.

This is my fun little dynamic this Event shows to me.
I currently have a friend ranked 748,398 with 12 Fedoras. I then have 16 friends at Rank 956,375 all tied up with 0 Fedoras.
So if you want that Tollbooth…. pretty much stop playing. NOW. That’s the bummer.
It surprises me though that there are only less than 3/4 of a million people globally playing this game and like at least 200,000 dead accounts sitting on the servers. 😛

Why stop playing? You do realize it’s barely 24hrs since launch with still a month to go? It will fluctuate until players become more stable in their game play. By then you’ll see more consistentcy in the game too. 😉
Breathe. Just play. Have fun. Don’t micro analyze every second of play by others or you’ll go nuts. 😉

Was around 11,000th place last night, then this morning jumped to about 7,000th without doing anything. (Perhaps as a result of TinyCo removing hackers?) Now after collecting from everyone, I’m in 5,000ish, haven’t paid a dime on this event yet, so I’m happy. Hoping having King Pin Consuela and Cleveland later on will give me some extra edge too. Still kinda hate competition like this, even if you do win, you keep someone else from getting their prize. 😦
I’m happy they listened to the outcry and included Zoot Stewie with Don. I joined the completionist rally on their Facebook page over that. Haha!

I got my buddy playing thus game BECAUSE there where no leader boards. He is very competitive and has no problem dropping money on these games just to one up me who is still after over a year a freemium player. He gets upset to see where others get advantages by paying in a lot. After the last few events he was teetering on the edge of dropping this game. Now he’s just mad at it. In my opinion the leader boards are a mistake. How am I supposed to compete with bunny? It would be interesting to see where you land in all of this. Maybe post your leader board when this is done. Let us live vicariously through you.

Tinyco should give out prizes every phase. So like at the end of phase 2 you get the prize. The hat count will go on and if you already have a certain prize you get cookies instead. In the end of the event not if you already have a prize you are awarded clams.

You will get any of the 10 from your Individual based on what you earn. You will ONLY get one from Global IF you’re “Qualified” for that Prize when the Event ends.

This is going to be who buys the most premium stuff. The freemium players will maybe win the zoot suit & don but not the houses. Tinyco is saying there trying to have a level playing field but this leaderboard is contradictory. How the hell can someone have 11,000 hats already? Are the top 100 even real players? I’m #1 on my friends list by 200 hats (1200 or so) and was locked out for a few hours. Are they really telling me that i’d have 9000 more hats if i didn’t lose those few hours? Bullsheet.

I’m thinking buying fence parts is the way to go for now. Easiest way to earn mob rep. I’ll wager that’s what some near the top of the leaderboard have done. I’ve bought the top conveyor belt. So I shouldn’t go short of cookies hopefully. I’ve just leapt hundreds of places up the leaderboard in minutes

Its great that the leaderboards are live and it adds a new element of friendly competition but I just hope they fix the issue of the fedoras from certain character tasks not updating (unless it just a visual issue like the Star Trek event)
