Hello There Clammers!
Week 2 of the Mob Event hit our devices last week, we we covered all of the main Week 2 questlines here. Shortly after we finished writing those, TinyCo added another short little questline to our games, Rise to the Top.
Rise to the Top is a short questline, but it’s meant to take a while to finish. It’s all about goals that are set for you to achieve during the event. Completing these questlines will earn you more Mob Rep and some FREE Clams at the end!
So let’s take a look at the Rise to the Top questline, and just what you’ll need to do to complete it….

Before I start my rant, I would just like to thank the ladies and anyone else who contributes to the addicts website for all the help and info you put out here. I’ve been a player since practically the beginning and anytime I’ve had any questions I knew I could come on here and it would be answered. I’m primarily a freemium every couple hour player and I think the only costume I didn’t get was Pee Pants Peter, but I was travelling. NOW, I’m so SICK & TIRED of reading all these comments of players whining and complaining. It’s a game, and in a game you win and you lose. STOP emailing TinyCo and coming on here to get things changed to make it easier for you. FREAKIN accept that you can’t get every character/costume/quest unless your willing to put in the time (and even then, you might have bad luck with the drops) or are willing to buy clams to complete it. If you’re looking for a game that is easy or gives you instant gratification, go play something else. It’s only a matter of time before this game is ruined by players like yourselves, you know who you are!!!

Oh yeah, I was also one of the players affected by the crash last week. I couldn’t get into the game for nearly 5 days. I was pretty bummed and was going thru withdrawls, but knew that it would get fixed eventually. When I was able to get back in I was somewhere in the 175k range on the leaderboard. I’m now somewhere in the 40k range and didnt spend a dime. Just kept at it and continued to rely on the Addicts for info.

I think that just cutting the costs of clearing Gurl Scouts and Gold Delivery Trucks in half would help us players immensely. We already need the Goons and Lunchadors for a number of other tasks as well. Having to wait 2 hours to clear 1 Gurl Scout (with an extremely low chance for a Tuba) and waiting 3 hours to clear 1 Gold Delivery Truck is just too long to wait. Then there is the fact that we have a limited space to hire makes it a nuisance. I myself have contacted TinyCo about this, but I want to get the word out to everyone. So if you are reading this please contact TinyCo about this issue as well. I’ve seen TinyCO change things before, because a number of players wrote in about an issue, and helped them see the errors of their ways. LETS GET THIS THING GOING BEFORE THE EVENT ENDS.

19 hours before step two in the casino task and god only know how many more need luchadors. Impossible unless you speed stuff.

I have 3 stars… and mine didn’t auto complete… now I need like 15 of the masked guys to get though the casino again since I haven’t been trying to get though there a 4th time… plus all the masked guys for the Girls scouts… (which is 8 more) and the regulars guys for the purple cookie trucks… (which is 12) how the heck they expect us to do that?
That is over 24 hours of training guys…
I am assuming it will be about 5 masked guys to get though since the first of 5 casino blocks wants 5 masked guys… and I know two of the blocks around come will need more masked guys.. so I am assuming they are about the same.
Well this sucks. I was liking this event till i hear about all the issues others are having and now they had something that is almost impossible to finish in 24 hours…

I must have missed something. I was in @ 4,500th place at yesterday’s leaderboard update. Today, I fell to 14,500th place. And I was on it pretty much all day. Anyway, I like the 24-hour challenges, but I will probably fall a bit short on this one.

Bunny, can I ask where were you on the Casino tasks before the Diabeto challenge popped up? I have Geronimo’s and hadn’t started a 4th run on the Casino but that task was not auto-checked like yours. Wondering if I should report it or not.
I suspect a full 4th casino run will be impossible in 24 hours (it needs 5 luchadors for the first obstacle for starters), so I’m hoping for miracles. Thanks again!

Hi Bunny. My game has not been responding for over 24 hrs. I can load it Ok ( finally) , but once the screen comes up, I can’t get the screen to scroll around, can’t interact with character check marks, no audio, and after a minute or so it says it’s not responding. I have hard closed it, ( I always do ) uninstalled and reinstalled, contacted tiny co many times to no avail. Anyone else reported this you? Ty in advance. You are always very helpful and awesome!

I don’t need Cleveland’s skin. So, the Gold Vans, I ignore. I’m just focusing on getting cool buildings, beating my friend on the leaderboard (who happens to be doing very well, I suspect she’s shucking clams like crazy!)
And maybe, if I’m lucky I’ll get Kingpin Consuela in the end.

Well, Bunny, it’s been fun, but after four days with no response on a quest-blocking bug, I’m done. I can’t even see the fun stuff you guys are because I’m so far behind and unable to progress. I have lost any chance at even the top 50k, and they obviously aren’t interested in any more money from me.

This speed quest is basically not completable without using clams – 4 girl scouts (8 lunchadores) and in my stage 3 casino I have 2 obstacles to clear that each need 3 lunchadores. That is 14 of the guys, it takes 4 hours to get a mask and I have 3 sources, plus the 12 hours to build, plus the 6 hours to build the basic guys to take out the trucks, plus the time it will take to clear the other obstacles in the casino.
Just like everything with this event, ridiculous.

When speed feed diabet popped up i was happy to be already on the last obstacle for the 3rd star so i completed taking down the casino excited to have 1 task down but then it didnt check it off the list. I tried force closing and that didnt work so i notified tinyco but i dont have high hopes that they will get back to me before the 24 hrs is up 😦 Id have to use 100s of clams if i want to take it down again plus all that other stuff in 24 hours.

You have to bee in the “Optional” raids… ie … already passed the 3 stars. I am running through it all and passing on details back to them. Full post up as soon as I am done.

I already spent hundreds on the game I have been loyal from day one buying clams regularly. Im not being rewarded im being shaken down for more.

But that is not what Tiny first wrote – it popped up without that. I was in a similar position to lunasb so sent off Diabeto for a 12 hr snack and went to sleep happy. Woke up to a rewritten panel and no check mark.
Fair enough for the second through fourth challenge – but pretty poor show for the very first one. I have no problem with bonuses being available that are impossible for normal players – but don’t tease and mess them about without incorrectly written panels and don’t just revise things mid-way.

I just saw a post saying that there is a Timed quest for paying customers only and that free players get a timed quest as well. So does that mean the paying players get something more than us freemium players just wondering . By the way thanks for all you do

Ugh. No way I can complete the speed feed Diabeto in 24 hours when my take down casino is a bonus raid with five obstacles (no idea how many luchadors) in addition to the 12 goons and 8 luchadors to process that will take a minimum of 10 hours. Yikes.

I sent Diabeto on the 24hr Quest of earning a mask before this quest started, I can’t store the Motel to free him so is it worth spending clams to free him for the 12hr quest?

Looks like I will continue to sink in the rankings. No way I can complete this in time. Diabeto is tied up for another 13 hours and has to still do a 12 hour task within 24 hours. Don’t think the math works for me.

I have defeated Cleveland’s Casino x3 (received Geronimo’s as a reward) and mine did not auto-check when I received Speed Feed Diabeto’s quest. Guessing that means I would have to cycle through the whole thing again? Not sure if that is possible in 24 hours.

Ha, just posted in the What the Deuce thread regarding Speed Feed Diabeto.
I tried to figure out the math for this quest, and the way I figure, the ONLY chance a player has to complete the quest is if they are at least half-way through a Casino run and if they have a full complement of Goons or Luchadors sitting around to start with. (Barring spending clams to speed up tasks.)
I killed my chances of completing the quest before the quest even dropped because I sent Diabeto on the 24 hour task to earn a Luchador mask. And he’ll finish that with only an hour left on the clock.
I realize that there’s a lot of variables involved in the design of these quests, but it’s not really fair that a timed quest would appear in someone’s game when they have NO chance to complete it. As a result, this timed quest just comes out looking like a way to trick players into spending clams.

Don’t think it’s possible in 24/hours for me to do my first task on a new casino run takes 5 luchadors then I have bouncers / blackjack table / tigers and another set of slot machines lol on top of the 8hours to clear 4 girl scouts and then 5 hours to clear cookie trucks lol

My casino task did not autocheck off, so I’m pretty sure it’s when you complete it (my casino will be defeated in an hour, waiting on the last luchador to complete). I will actually get this completed in 24 hrs!!!

Gold Trucks are not considered Rivals. That and they Require 6 Goons each. Two separate items.

Bah, just had to send a ticket in because I finished a Casino run (for my 3rd star) but it’s not checking off in the questline. The other pieces are pretty reasonable to achieve, so I just have to hope that the check-off is either delayed or can be manually fixed by TinyCo’s support.
I’d prefer if the reward is 20 tubas rather than any Rep. Still sitting at zero tubas, and I’m 2 golf balls away from having everything else.

Sorry, 24 hours is simply NOT enough time to do this quest. Since I completed all three raids this week the next one starts out needing five luchadors, no doubt plus countless others.
So, just to get that far would require 13 of them and 19 hours when you include the goons.
Again, TinyCo. not thinking things through before throwing it into the game.

For the speed feed Diabeto quest, I had just finished level 3 of the casino and my quest shows that I need to start all over again this time starting with 5 Luchadors, not going finsh this quick quest.

I have all three stars from the casino, but do not have the Speed Feed Diabeto task auto-checked. Perhaps you needed to clear the casino after a certain time today (i.e. when they knew they were going to add the quest to the game)?

Bunny, I think you only get credit for completing the 3 star raid. I had already completed 1and 2 and am in the middle of going for the third star. I don’t have a check. All those tasks seem unlikely for me to be able to complete within 24 hours.

Speed feed quest just launched – gonna be tough with out clams. Complete casino raid, 4 gurl scouts, 12 trucks and have diabeto overeat. Depends on which casino raid you’re on – I’m on 3rd raid and at luchadors first task – so I need 4, then 3 for tigers, then 4 more for final part (plus 2 hour tasks for Chris and Jerome). Then I need 8 luchadors to take down 4 gurl scouts and 12 goons for the trucks. So that’s 19 luchadors and 12 goons in 24 hours – so 19 plus 6 is 25 hours just to get them all. So clams will be needed – I already had a luchadors in town when event triggered – but still. Realistically would need to send 6 luchadors overnight – (as long as I use 7 tonight). Then in am send another 6 in am and use clams to speed that up – then you have 6 hours to get all of the goons. My issue is if they’re having us use clams for first challenge I can only guess what the next ones will bring. I understand these should be a “challenge” but not necessary to use clams off the bat.

A timed quest just popped up. How the heck do they expect you to finish this in 24 hours?!?! Just the truck and the girls would take at least 14 hours. I finished the 3 stages of the casino already. Am at the beginning of the extra stages. Haven’t really started it after getting the 3 stars as I was focusing on completing Cleveland Jr. Having that part in the timed quest makes it practically impossible for a lot of players. Even on a regular run finishing 1 phase wouldn’t be possible in 24 hours unless you know what items are needed or what tasks need to be done to be scheduled ahead of time.

Anyone else’s iDevice indicate there is an update available when you launch the game? I am being routed to the AppStore where I see the option to “Open” Family Guy app. I’m stuck in a loop on both iPad and iPhone? This sucks. I’ve tried removing/reinstalling which works until I login with my FG account, then the loop continues once again? WTH TinyCo?

Wow, they just ambushed me with the impossible again to rub it in my face. I have to take down 12 trucks, 4 scouts, and take down the casino which i assume means all three stars when im only midway through the second star. I don’t how much mob rep i’m losing out on, but i don’t like it.

I just received a quest that said speed feed Diabeto and one of the items was to take down the casino which I did but then it’s not showing up as completed in the quest. Has this happened to anyone else?

I have made it through 3 stars but didn’t even start the next quest which, for me, is a Slot Machine challenge requiring 5 luchadores! I am disappointed that I didn’t get an autocomplete.
I am torn between using the luchadores I am currently building to get Gurl Scouts or to start another quest. Hopefully, I will get the autocomplete at some point.
