Happy Weekend Clammers!
Well we’ve all made it through another week and the weekend is here!
All week we field your comments about your frustrations in the game and we wanted to give you (and us) a fun way for you to voice your frustrations and get it all off of your chest.
So welcome to WHAT THE DEUCE?!
Here’s your place to vent about anything and everything, Family Guy or not. Consider this your weekly bitch fest and get it all out with a good…WHAT THE DEUCE?! And start your weekend fresh! 🙂
Just be respectful of others & be mindful of the language.
Here’s mine for this week:
–WHAT THE DEUCE….every time I have multiple Gold Cookie Trucks in my game…the game crashes! And when I reload the I lose out on the second truck, only ones there. Not cool man!
–WHAT THE DEUCE….what’s with drivers once the weather turns nice? It’s like they suddenly forgot how to drive or they’re in their own little world. People I don’t care what time of the year it is…just drive your car correctly.
Now it’s YOUR turn…give us your WHAT THE DEUCE?! moments from the past week! Go on, get it off your chest…you’ll feel a lot better! 🙂

What the deuce! I have three different things going and they all require the armored truck type goons. Hey Tinyco, there ARE different types of goons out there. Spread the wealth! I have EIGHTY TWO luchador guys sitting there. Let me burn off some of them! I’m sick of having to wait and wait and wait to build up close to 30 of these guys to make everyone happy!

WTD: I guess overall, this mafia event was fun, there was a lot to do! But I came no where near finishing. The speed at which the event moved was way too fast, and I play a lot. A LOT. I’m currently unemployed and had no problem checking in every 2 hours to do tasks. To help I even spent clams on Mr. Miyagi and Robocop ( I was an 80s kid, how can you resist that!?). But progression wise, here I am on the last day, working my way through the last leg of the courthouse ( a little more than a week behind). Still don’t have the last diamonds for Mob Wife Lois. Never got School Girl Tricia as the 20k cookie price was WAAAAAAAy to steep. The was week 2 content, and here at the end the event I have 13k cookies, the most i’ve had to this point. After the 5k to Lois (if I can unlock her) there is no way to get Tricia, so I won’t bother.
After that little Rant, here in my opinion are the 2 biggest problems with this event:
-Cookies were far too hard to accumulate, and it just got harder when they changed the purple cookie trucks to a rare drop rate.
-TOO MANY QUEST LINES. I often found myself working hard toward a questline that had nothing to do with progression. Took me an extra 6 days to upgrade peters Mansion due to pre-requisites at some point.
-Glitches , While I didnt experience any other than the gold cookie trucks disappearing, I see from the forum that its been incredibly frustrating for people.
I’ll keep playing, but after my Dad, Brother and a few friends quit after the ultra slow Star Trek event, i’m losing motivation 😦

For those posters who are not receiving responses from TinyCo, I thought you might find this TinyCo presentation from Matt interesting: http://twvideo01.ubm-us.net/o1/vault/gdcnext2014/presentations/830198MattFairchild.pdf
Payers vs players / writing support
“Players who write to support are more likely to be paid users.” Accompanied by pie chart showing 26% payers 74% Fre players (that’s not a typo)
Next slide
“Players who write in twice are very likely to be paid players.”

Now that I read this I’m starting to realize I’m probably not the type of player in which TinyCo is interested.

Liked the game and I understand bugs and such but I feel like this time we had so many glitches and crashes that I am a little over a week behind. I went nearly a week before the mansion would finally update not to mention to freezes and crashes. Tinyco needs to send out some free clams and extend the deadline. Thanks for the work you do here!

WTD? Now they are just rubbing it in. Almost no way to earn cookies…ways that used to earn cookies no longer dropping cookies, T-Co help COMPLETELY unresponsive…and now mystery boxes galore for us to spend non-existent cookies on. %#$s

Totally disgusted with this game.On Sunday the game began to not load and at that time I was somewhere in the top 1,000 player on the leaderboard… since them,i have been playing the email BS game and waiting.I intend on getting a refund for money spent to play over this last week.
Tinyco has responded but only to ask info I already sent them TWICE.
Even if I get in now,no way I can make up 3 or 4 days of not be able to play.I feel totally ripped off.
I just sent them ANOTHER email saying the game ALMOST loads(no more Assert Cocoa crap) but still crashes and kick me out.
UGH!!!

If Tinyco doesn’t extend this event I say we all stop playing. We had over a week of glitches. In all fairness this event needs another 7-10 days to counter the massive issues and delays.
No extension = no more playing this game

WTD, The mystery boxes that can be bought with cookies just came out RIGHT after I’ve spent about 30k+ Of cookies (already got costume for Tricia and Bonnie) on decorations that I already have (like 9 golden cranes, 10+ wine barrels, 15+ trees and bamboo trees). I wanted to collect all the decorations before the event ends, but I can’t now as it’ll take time to collect cookies (I don’t want to spend more money).

Still on week 4 yay. 1 more day till the event is finally over. What a terrible experience it has been. Since I’ve never had any major glitches or been locked out of the game by consuela this has easily been the worst month in the game for me and by far the worst long event. At least with the full moon event I got to see all the content.
I stopped playing tapped out a while back but I cant even remember a simspkns event this bad. I played every day and pretty reguarly but since I went for Don King first I fell behind on cleveland Jr and the raids which in other events wouldnt have been a problem but in this event there is no way to catch up as every questline is streamlined through the hire a mob building. Its ok though at least you can store 18 people even though you can only make 6 and I’ve never needed more than 10 to be stored.
Ah well at least I’ve got cleveland Jr, who says 2 things that make no sense and arent even funny :S. On the positive note I like Diabeto and washee washee. Too bad I never got a chance at the detective.

Are you kidding me? I just unlocked lois an hour ago and tonight they release not one but two mystery boxes at 1000 cookies apiece? Unless they extend the event who but the top 5000 who spent tons of clams will have any cookies to spare to complete the event let alone buy boxes? Normally I’d be begging for those boxes but with so many in the same boat as me despite spending clams and playing nonstop, it seems tinyco is now just catering to those who will spend lots of money. Keep it up and they’ll be the only ones playing 😡😡😡

Aaargh! This 4th timed challenge is OUTRAGEOUS!!! Mine came before your related walkthrough (you guys do a wonderful, amazing job – this is not directed against you) and so I triggered it, used to events that are definitely challenging (that’s the point after all) but possible.
Alas! This challenge is just impossible! I was at level 5 of defeating the Don’s henchmen which requires 15 goons each time and two 4-hour breaks in between the three defeats…
– Letting the timer reset is not an option as I was 18 hours away from it, which would only leave 6 hours
– Keeping on attacking at level 5 is not possible either as I will need 45 goons and they require at the very least (!) 30 minutes each. That’s a bare minimum of 22.5 hours, plus 8 hours (two 4-hour breaks) i.e. 30.5 hours
I’ve always been on TinyCo’s side as until this even they had always shown they were reasonable and listening to the player. But this event is a disaster through and through and feels very poorly thought out. I’ve spent significant amounts of hard-earned money for clams since the beginning but I’m not ready to spend an inordinate amount – if they had told me four weeks ago I would have spared myself the trouble and wouldn’t have regrets for missing out on the 5th prize for completing all four challenges.
Too much tax kills the tax. If this is the way things are going then they will lose my financial contributions.

I wish there was a way to drop down the leaderboard. Been on horsehead bed for the entire event and I’d much rather the driveby car. But the only way for me to move anywhere on the leaderboard is to just ignore the event altogether which makes for a boring time :S

I think the thing that bothers me most is that I left a 5 star rating for the game a few days ago.
I have been playing the **** out of this game since it started and have even spent around $60 in clams. What has this gotten me? I am on the final run of the last area and have beaten the don 3 times.
With all that said, I am getting screwed out of the final Week 4 prize. I had Corleone on level 5 when the 24 hour countdown started with 19 hours remaining. My goal was to send in 15 masked goons (15 hours). My point is that it is impossible for me to reset the Don to level 1 and defeat him 3 times as required.
This has ZERO to do with it being a “difficult” task. I have owned all of the “difficult” tasks thus far. This, at my point in the game, is an “impossible” task. This means that the clams I put into finishing the other challenges were a complete waste.
I’ve done everything I could have done on my end and spent the money that they wanted me to spend and I don’t even get a fair shot at the Final prize. You see, I’m not whining because I’m behind or did something to cause me to be in a predicament where I couldn’t finish. I am simply getting screwed because my Level 5 timer on the Don was at 19 hours when the event started. The math doesn’t work. I can’t reset him and I can’t clam him.
I know there are individuals who spend a lot more than me, but I’ve spent well over $600 on this game since I started in December. If TinyCo is smart they’ll take a serious look at the issue and find a resolution as I know I’m not the only one being screwed here.

Actually the best way to stick it to em is to keep playing the game but not give them any money. This way you’re hitting their hosted servers continuously which costs them, and if they have less income coming in with increased costs maybe that’ll make them reconsider their development. Become a LIABILITY, not an ASSET.

I don’t think I’ll get to see week 5 content at all. Still trying to get Lois. Well maybe I’ll get to “see” it but it won’t be nearly enough time to do or get anything.
Lois needs you to clear the courthouse. The only way to get 2 of her items. No other options. Oh and for some of the items you need the burn out Brian costume. They gave 2 options for a single item for the same character? WTD is up with that? Need fries? Well you need 9 of them. So you can either get 9 couriers or you can have burn out Brian do a task OR to spice things up have BURN OUT BRIAN do a task. Awesome. Oh and he’s not just a pay character. No he’s a chance character that is practically required to stay on track. OK. So maybe a costume for a 100 clams I would have bought to try and get on track with the event but a mystery box where you could literally spend 500 clams before getting him is beyond greedy. So 9 couriers requires 27 show girls. At a 45 minute build for each is 20 hours and 25 minutes. Lets just assume you don’t sleep. A full day on one section of the courthouse. But there’s more of course. You need 10 bags of cash which adds up to another 5 hours of grind. Forget all the other things you need like tasks run and Fort Knox destroyed for enough cookies.
This event was/is terrible. The stupid log jam of everything requiring goons of one sort or another to be made for just about everything and rarely using characters in game for collectibles or buildings as other past events have was poor design. No Stewie tasks? Vinny? Maybe an FBI agent like Stan? Tons of characters in game, but no. Not even Consuela or Cleveland who eventually become gangsters in the game have tasks.
Plus since everything is linked to just that goon factory and all mansion updates required you to get the final step of the previous week done before advancing you can’t get any sort of start on newer content. A simple fix would have been that when you buy RVs it opens up another queue to build so you could have multiple goons being created at the same time. Hey what an idea.
TC you want to get back on track. Look back on your Comic Con event. I thought that was the most reasonable event you’ve had where it was a mix of freemium and premium that everyone could enjoy and spend money where they like. Second after that was the Xmas event though the Yetti in the end wasn’t very forgiving, but since a clam creating prize (Jesus) was the end reward I get why you’d have to spoend clams to get him.

You make a great point, I bought clams during both of the Comic Con and Christmas events and loved it. I even bought a fair amount of clams for the Star Trek event, but kind of regretted it. For many Star Trek was a moment, of ok, this game is getting unbalanced on the greedy side. Lucky for t-co I didn’t decide that til after I’d bought clams for it. But this event has been such a disaster (and a moderate amount of clams seemed unlikely to help much) that I just refused to buy in. Sooo glad I didn’t waste a dime on this event. Maybe they’ll get their heads out of their butts and turn things around and make them fun again, but until they do my wallet is closed.

As much as I enjoy this game as a freemium player, I am feeling the need to side with @thundacracka. It does seem pretty obvious the people at the top of the leaderboards are either Tiny Co employees or people who have spent a good deal of money. As I continued to slide away from the rank for Zoot-Suit Stewie my interest in the event slid as well.
Would LOVE to see another event that ISN’T timed as they really are just feeling like cash grabs now.
Can we have some more land and another story event that isn’t timed Tiny Co? Isn’t about time Peter had another throw down with the Chicken who gave him a bad coupon?

Please Help! I’m trying to get 5x on the Don, but it’s asking for 15 goons. I have 2 RV= 9 goons I can have stored up. The Don area doesn’t let you use off your goons as you train and release them off…… This is meaning I am going to come up with no space to train my final 6 goons.
So- is there a tip to help this ? ( sad the game won’t let us release and use the goons at the same time when this is not only timed, but an essential part of the mandatory task lines )
Even if I use my much needed cookies to buy another RV, that would still only let me earn 12 of the required 15 goons to defeat the Don for the 5X.
So, even if I cave and bought another RV, will I be able to buy the 4th RV for cookies, or am I going to buy one for cookies then only be left with the option to buy the 4th at the cost of 250 clams ?
Thanks

And that even includes full moon, which I excuse because it was their first attempt. Maybe instead of spending so much time creating glitchy, poorly planned events every other week tinyco could improve the actual game, like give us better graphics and maybe some other surfaces besides road and grass…

*sigh.. Beginning last night at 7:30 my game stopped completely loading and I haven’t been able to get in since. Did all the usual troubleshooting knowing that chances were there wasn’t a damn thing I could do because once again it was a another TinyCo issue but I still did it in an effort to help myself. I emailed TinyCo (help@tinyco.com) with all the info as well as an old screenshot I had saved with my Player ID info. I never received an automated response which I’m guessing means that everyone else who also got caught up in the newest error already reported theirs too.
On a side note why do they still release major updates or new events just before weekends or holidays when they have NEVER run smoothly? TinyCo why can’t you learn from your mistakes? Do you really think that if you put all these ingredients together to make a chocolate cake that next time you are going to put all those same ingredients together and somehow come out with a red velvet cake? Do you ever tire of beating your head against the wall? Are you so consumed by that almighty dollar that you can’t help yourself you have to release major content when you assume people are getting paid for their hard work and you want a piece of the pie even though your app is unstable? These and other complaints will remain on the next episode of The Crashing Guy The Quest for Your Money.
My apologies if I’ve offended any players but I have learned to look for amusement when there’s an issue I can’t do anything to fix. Nothing at TinyCo is gonna change anytime soon so I will try to laugh at them until I get fed up and just go POOF!
This feels like any bad relationship I have had to end. I try to work things out, convey what I need from the relationship, he tries here and there. There is no yelling or hostility so I keep trying knowing in the back of my mind that I will have to end the relationship at some point I just need to know I’ve exhausted all my options so that by the time I say goodbye I have already mourned the loss of the relationship while still in it, which allows me to never look back with any regret.
***** TinyCo please don’t force me break up with you!!

I’ve got a weepy WTD, because I’m so frustrated at the moment I’m on the verge of tears. I’ve been without wifi for a week (I’m not even going to touch on how far behind I am in the event) and the only way I can get any wifi is by sitting outside where it’s 40 degrees. And windy. And the connection speed is only 20-30 KB/sec. And it disconnects every time I load any graphic intensive app or file/update.
I just had it disconnect on me after 40 minutes of frozen fingers and I have nothing to show for it, and another 5 days to go before I have a stable connection. Tears.

This event has been the most disengaging event ever. I’m not even going to get to week 5 content it doesn’t look like and I play quite a bit every day. Maybe I’m missing something but this event is an epic failure. In the past, the events have been challenging but attainable without having to spend a ton of clams. In the past, I have been willing to spend real money on clams to get certain characters as well. Now I have them all stored as they are pretty much pointless and I have no intention of paying more money on this wreck. Other people have already pointed out enough on the crashes, glitches and the rest of the pure trash the developers keep spewing out. On the bright side, I guess I’m saving some money. That and the Simpson’s soccer (tap ball) event is going along just fine and is fun and engaging.

Is it because I let the Don’s timer run out so I could work on more boxing gloves for the Cleveland skin?? I sure hope TinyCo forgives me soon, I just spent a ton of clams to get into Week 5!

Re: Defeat The Don… If you look at your account of what goons you had to get to complete ” the streak”, it adds up to far more than 24hrs just to run them through the copahavana – and that’s not even bringing into account that you might have to earn the goons before you can even start to run them through Copahavana.
My streak started with 2 cops- so I have to earn two doughnuts (4hrs each) …and I only have Herbert because Peter and Lois are busy with their first tasks that have to be completed for Family Betrayal.
Any suggestions? Extra RVs won’t do any good because I can’t train any more than one goon at anytime
If you fall short and time runs out, then you don’t progress??….so you have no shot at Bonnie’s mob outfit?
I’ve played many hours for this event and yet I seem to have only qualified for Zoot Suit Stewie when I used way too many clams over a couple of nights… Now I’ve fallen back down by almost 10,000 pts even though I have been playing ….way too much x__x

I’ve played this game now for nearly a year and really enjoyed it, but it is effectively broken now. Max level, $1.5m of useless coins you can’t spend, and events that are impossible without spending real cash. Don’t get me wrong – I wasn’t fermium – probably spent $100 real dollars on this as it kept me entertained over the last year. But a game where you level, or characters, or buildings, or in-game currency don’t actually give you any advantage is kinda pointless.

WTD!! So many problems with this event starting from initial start up crashes to glitches to things being changed.
Recently.. Why am I not getting cookies for taking out cookie trucks? Instead of gaining cookies as the goin factory would have you believe I’m getting mob rep and nothing but useless coins. I don’t know how long this has been ongoing, no wonder I am still at 10000 cookies while still needing to unlock Tricia Lois and Bonnie’s cookie task ..
Playing every couple hours or so most days (any more time would just be watching AI’s walk around aimlessly) how is it possible that I’m not on the final week with only 3 days left in an event?? Check back later is all it says to upgrade to the next mansion.. That’s really helpful.. Shouldn’t the game give you a fair chance to get to the final stage with enough time to enjoy it?? Or at least point you in the right direction?
Characters and skins that are irrelevant as soon as the events over.. Enough said.
Tasks that lead you astray from progressing unless you look on FGA or elsewhere to see which areas to avoid or pursue.
Things like a leaderboard which are not seperated between premium and freemuim players only adds to anger. Have (up to- so many clams spent or another tally) freemium players go for their own items and have bulk clam buyers duke it out for something else.
They should try and stay away from these events and actually include something peremantely that will not angry everyone who plays, like more districts, or a level up system, or additional zone(s) that revamps the style of play.(almost how the enterprise was during Star Trek) instead of having people pay for clams on the new mode they could sell old buildings and items for new currency(as a freemuim route) (The multiverse could be a good gateway here)
Seems I have to spend more time on the internet to learn about/how to play the game then the game itself. There is no structure (things appearing and dissapeaeing) when events are out almost like no testing or foresight had gone into it.
When something wrong happens you can’t get responses from tiny co on time without it being the same generated message. The only relieving thing is to see other having the same problems but it’s getting to be too much.. Unless there is a serious change to this game this will likely be one if my last events, got more fun things I could be doing then running around feeling lost

The biggest problem I have with this game is the lack of content included with premium characters, or other timed event unlocks. I have Human Rupert for example. He never has activities that help with quests or any interaction with Stewie. Otherwise the game has been great. Smooth sailing on Android and IOS. And please bring back the American Dad Event. I missed this one.. 😦

WTD!!! I was starting my run for two stars, waiting for the timer on the last set of the Don’s goons and I get a “streak requirement no longer found in config” error as I’m trying to load and play. I get the same error on both my ipad 2 and Samsung tab4. After trying the force close, and reboot, i delete and reload on my tab4 but have no save data linked to my Google plus account. I’m afraid to try on my Ipad. I was able to send the error report in game but have no hopes of getting a resolution from them in time to save my progress and clams. I don’t even know if TinyCo can help me at all.
Long story short, it sounds like my save data got corrupted and I’m not sure if anyone can fix it. May be the end of a fun and expensive year plus for my Quohog because I refuse to start again from the beginning. Oh well, I’ll just see where the clams may fall and let go of the hope of finishing the Fatfather event. Sigh!!!

So last night, the game crashes on me (Android on Galaxy S4). I have not been able to get back on since. I have tried going to a different device, same problem. I have narrowed down the issue to my account being the problem. I have contacted TinyCo without any feedback after the initial email. I was about halfway through week 5 when this happened. I am very disappointed that there is no way to recover from this and that I will have wasted lots of time and resources getting to this point in the game without a resolution.

WTD so I woke up after an eventful night (let’s just say a serious amount of drinkys were consumed) and a brand new premium character oddly appeared along with a whole heap of goons running round my town and a character had finished a task that was meant to take 24 hours…according to my bank record I went a little ‘clam and gem crazy’ while under the influence and bought a whole heap of clams and gems for my other game (clash of clans) which had all my barracks and collectors mysteriously boosted and a lot of buildings that were set to take a few days to upgrade were oddly finished! Last time I have my net on while having an epic weekend! My husbands gonna kill me hahaha!!!!! Oops!

They have previously said they won’t, but I really hope they don’t change their mind and extend this event. Not because I don’t want to see players be able to finish this and get the characters and items they want, but because extending it just gives TinyCo a pass for all the problems with the game and event and allows them the opportunity to make more money than they should have. They need to realize that the way they are doing things right now – they’re wasting their time and ours. They need to realize they can’t expect to have any kind of player retention with continued engagement if a large number of players are not even able to see the hard work their artists put into the last week or two of the event content because collectively they can’t put out a stable game that doesn’t have major flaws. Almost every time they release new content they have to spend a day or two fixing things that shouldn’t have been broken in a wide release. I enjoy and appreciate this site and the hard work, time, and money that goes into it but players shouldn’t HAVE to come here to navigate this game and find out why things don’t work. I didn’t find this site because I was just looking for some tips, I found this site because I was having issues with the game. I doubt I’m alone in that regard.
They really need to dial it back. Way back. I’m able to open the game just about any time and I’ve still had a hard time keeping up. I don’t see how they expect most people to get all this crap done, especially when there is some kind of major issue almost every single week. On top of that there is also math that doesn’t add up, drops that vary wildly from item to item even when they’re listed to be the same, and overall completely unrealistic expectations of how much a player should have to play the game to keep up. I don’t need or want the game to be easy. Easy games are not fun. But even when this game isn’t having some issue, the tasks on top of tasks on top of tasks for items needed for other tasks to TRY for other items to complete other tasks have become beyond ridiculous.
They desperately need to fill that QA position listed on their website. They could use a whole team of QA people testing on multiple devices BEFORE the players see it. Ideally they would have some in house, and some that are not so they can say what needs to be said in their feedback without co-workers feelings being a consideration.

This may be my first negative/ranting post on a WTD thread, but…
This event has been a colossal disappointment. I was so amped up for it at the beginning because I’ve always been a huge fan of the mobster genre.
At least a week ago it became clear to me that there was no way in hell that I was going to get high enough on the leaderboard to unlock Don Corleone, so what in the hell is the point of even playing? I’m not killing myself every two or four hours to build up mob rep and cookies that are going to be used for nothing.
I feel like it’s always necessary to point out, I have spent money and clams in the past. I have at least eight premium characters walking around my town, in addition to the Smith house. If there is a premium character or building that I want badly enough, I will spend the clams on it.
But my first commandment on freemium games is: Thou shalt not spend money/clams to PLAY the game.
Do not present something to me as something that I can earn if I’m willing to grind the hell out of the game, when the truth is, there is no way that I’m going to get it without spending money.
This is exactly why I dropped TSTO and completely walked away from it.
I could rant on but the bottom line is this:
It’s not about the cost. It’s about honesty. Up until now, TinyCo has kept an honest separation between premium content and game play. In my opinion, this event has really blurred the line between the two.

They should give us some kind of game compensation for this bug. It’s pretty f’d up that I could’ve had mr washy washy 2 days ago and finished the mission, so now I can’t do whatever I need to do w him since he’s not there.

Ok so I finally got everything I needed for me washy. I go to unlock him, but he’s not at super cowboy USA cleaners. The building is there but he’s nowhere to be found. what now?

Help! My Good Guise Beanies stopped dropping nunchuks. I contacted TinyCo via in-game support, and I got a ‘thanks for your feedback’. Now it has started dropping, but Diabeto and Cleveland Jr have stopped dropping nunchuks. TinyCo have been abysmal in their responses to me about game issues. Does anyone have any advice? And I have bought some premium items, but refuse to do so for items that should be dropping for free.

Keep in mind… the Nunchucks are NOT an Always drop (Common). So there will be times you will not get them. Close to Always… but not every time. So when they don’t drop, you may notice them as you are used to it being pretty much all the time. Just send them again. In the mean time, make sure you are up to date on the lasted Version from the App market.
FYI… if you go the “automated” response, it just means there is an overload in the emails… so if you still have an issue keep responding… even to the automated ones so you stay in queue.

Hi Bunny. I noticed when three times in a row there’s no drop, yet I am getting rare items like they are going out of fashion! I had the same issue with tubas, but ended up just clamming those. I did have the latest update too. Oh well, I’ll just curse and continue … Thanks anyway. 🙂

Sorry. Like I said, if it does NOT seem like Common drops make sure that is reported. In case there is something else going on. I will keep an eye out here, but so far… the drops seem to be coming as they should for Nunchucks (though I have messaged them and you can too… I would prefer them to be Always like the other Goon Materials. 😉 )

Unless I missed something, I calculate to date without speeding up tasks, or Mystery Boxes one would need to purchase $99.99 of clams to get the 3270 clams needed to buy all the content for this event. I just renewed my 6 month WoW account for around $77. People are really still giving these people money for their broken game?! WTD

I think the biggest thing is people may also not realize just how Tiny their company is. Its nothing like the worldwide outsourced gaming Giants (like EA). Everything is done in house by the limited amount of employees they have. Normal turn around is 3-5 Business days. If they are slammed and overloaded, you usually will see automated responses. Still reply to them. It keeps you in the tech queue. If no response in 5 days, send an update message to them. Otherwise… its just waiting honestly.
Beyond that, they use the community to help get info out too. So keep an eye on their Twitter and fan sites like ours for answers to questions that impact many players. As it is easier to get word out to the masses in one post on our site, then the time it would take for them to respond to every single email from Thousands.
Hope that makes sense. 🙂

It’s already Monday and I’m still working to unlock the Week 4 content, I’ve had no time to finish collecting boxing gloves for the Cleveland skin because of all the goons needed to unlock the stuff I need to progress, and I’m more than 18 THOUSAND cookies short of the Tricia skin that I’ve already collected all the items for. What the deuce, TinyCo?

Just wait until you get to the Lois skin, and the only- happens- one-time- ever job that pays out diamonds only pays out four of them but you require twelve. Fun.
Honestly, considering how sloppy everything’s been, I wouldn’t be surprised if the 20,000 cookies turned out to be a typo nobody caught. Test your game, TinyCo!

Im so tired of this **** game. I absolutely love it, but it has clearly become nothing more than a pure and dirty money grab. Ive spent 60 on clams the past three weeks for a total of 4800 to add to the 700 or so I had leftover from previous purchases. Im now officially down to 36 clams and am somehow still only ranked just outside the top 20,000 on the leaderboard. I check my game every hour religiously yet Im still this low. How? Im willing to bet there are some people who are *cough cough* stupid *cough cough* enough to spend the money I have on this game, but 20,000 plus people who have spent more than 200 in this event, not a chance or hope in hell.
I was thinking about it yesterday and realised Ive spent more money on this game than I spent on my recently purchased batman limited collectors edition. In fact, I could have bought the collectors edition as well as one and a half copies of the regular edition with the money Ive dropped on this event alone. Thats ******* ludicrous beyond words.
I see all these posts of people who try and contact tinyco and can never get a response. Im wlling to bet the majority of those players have given tinyco a tiny or non existent amount of money. I see the girl who bought the prison accidentally saying she contacted them and had her clams refunded that same day. Oddly enough, when I contact tinyco its no more than 24 hours and they ALWAYS respond promptly and accordingly. Thts definitely more than a coincidence, and well obviously you would expect that, its funny to see it actually happening. Im onto you tinyco, im onto you, i know your tricks.
Can someone please let me know how to get higher on these **** leaderboards without cheating or hacking?

If you want INSTANT jumps…buy stuff… Decoraitons. But that would also mean using Cookies. Crane +1000 MR, Others… 15-45 Mob Rep. Outside that, my biggest source… Fort Nox and the “best” questlines along with the Raids on the Event Area.

Back in the Halloween event I made an accidental purchase of a mystery box, 100 clams, and they told me they never refund clams. I even got one of the “good” prizes, Scaramara, and told them to take it away, I never wanted anything in the box. No dice.
That was before I spent any clams on this game so maybe as your point suggests, that’s why I got a different answer than the other player.
I did spend $20 on the Christmas event since I went to Cuba for a week where there was no wifi. Add it to the cost of the trip I figured.
But I’ll tell you, not having played for a week has actually felt quite liberating. I’m not chained to my phone every few hours, my kids are happy about it, and as much as I enjoy the game, I’m thinking that it might be a good time to simply lay it to rest. It took a broken phone and a week’s non-response to my help request to TinyCo but there it is. It was fun while it lasted.

I bought a small amount of clams once, and they never get back to me until well after the thing I’ve contacted them about is no longer relevant.

Depends on if you got ALL items… complete… to their limits (most you have to get more than one limit).

I was confused by this originally too. Having the parts you need to craft the maximum number of items is not enough to make them stop–you have to actually craft the items to make them stop dropping the parts. If you don’t have room for the items, you can dump them into your inventory after you craft them.

The “tapes” for Mr. Washer are the new tubas. The uncommon tubas that required 2 goons for a chance to drop weren’t bad enough. TinyCo learned nothing from player complaints so now we have rare tapes that require 3 goons. WTD?

At launch, the pace of this game was geared toward the freemium player. If someone wanted to spend money to rush through tasks, and purchase the occasional special character or decoration, that was cool but we all hit the finish line of events together. Over the past six months, or so, the pace has become more-and-more set by the premium player, to keep them interested. Freemium players get left behind. In doing so, the core base is getting exponentially frustrated. Example: I am a freemium player. I set my alarm throughout every night to wake up to complete and start tasks. I monitor my game excruciatingly well. I have 4 million coins. 100% on districts. I am also one week behind this event, and 23,000th on the leaderboard (I was 16,000th a mere five days ago). I won’t even mention all the crashes during events that follow similar patterns. I’ve submitted suggestions to TC along the way, but I’m going to give them one more event. I love Family Guy, and I really want to like this game. But WTD TinyCo. You’re ruining it.

WTD? I’m still clearing land, and the only one in town who works seems to have gone a tad hyperactive. He uses his chainsaw on some vegetation and then runs all around the buildings etc. to get to another spot a short distance away. Is he in training for a marathon? Off his medication? Or what? I’m afraid he’s going to have a tiny heart attack if he doesn’t slow down. I don’t recall him being so hyperactive in earlier times, although in the past few weeks he has seemed to be running back to his worksite every time I checked. I thought he was just taking coffee breaks, but I’ve been watching him more closely on the last couple of jobs and his health is at risk now. At least the hospital is built, but I don’t know if he has insurance.
