TinyCo has dropped another awesome Event into our Quahogs. This time we are gonna go back to those “Scary Movies” of the past. The ones that send chills up your spine. Make those lil hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Make your heart start beating a lil faster. hack hack hack hack chop chop chop chop kill kill kill kill….

ENDS THURSDAY NOVEMBER 5TH @3PM PACIFIC
- First up, make sure you have the latest Version 1.13.0 Update for the Family Guy Game from the App Market installed to your device. This will ensure you are covered for any glitch patches and any other items that the Update has coded into it.
- You need to also be in at least District 3 with Al’s Costume Shop completed.
- Play the New Event to access ALL Content. With every new Event there are “unlock points” for many items, so play through the Main Questline in order to see it all. I will Update Unlock points if any as I find them.
- If you run into any issues Upgrading the Movie Screen, Force Close your game and if needed… restart device to clear it.
WARNING: There are Timed Items in the Movie Projection Booth, like Slasher Cat. I will post more as I get to them.

You have til the end of the Event to earn the items and get these Characters.
SCREAM LEVELS
Scream Pointsare going to be necessary throughout the Event to move forward to the “Next Movie” each week. You will be able to earn them all around the Event.
The Hatchet Icon in the Lower Right Corner will show your Current Scream Level. Tapping on it will pull up the Main Event Pop Up Screen. Up in the top of the Pop Up will show your current Scream Point Count and how many more to Next Scream Level.
MOVIE PROP SHACK
You will find this over in the Event area in the far Right Center of your game. It will be on the Left side of the Movie Screen. Hookhand Albert will be sitting outside of the Shack with a ! over it. Essentially this is the place where you can go to create Movie Props to use around the game. Similar to past Events, there will be a Queue as well as a Capacity.
Capacity is how many of that item you can have in your Quahog in use or in Queue total. You have to clear some once you reach your MAX before you can Create more. I started out with 8 Capacity in my game

This will be located to the Right of the Movie Screen in the Event Area. Here is where you can turn in Materials to gain Film Reels.
Film Reels will be used to get Prizes from the Movie Projection Booth. The first option you will see in here is trading Popcorn for Movie Reels. Watch closely because as you move up in your Scream Levels, so will the amount of Popcorn required to exchange for Movie Reels. Also there are Questline trigger points. Watch YOUR game for when it Changes.

WARNING THIS WILL BE TIMED FOR 24HRS!!!
Slasher Cat: Once you get the Pumpkin Tower Created, the moment you go back to the Movie Projection Booth and tap it to look inside, the time will start on Slasher Cat and you will only have 24hrs to unlock it.
Slasher Cat requires 100Movie Reels, so make sure you have a LOT stored up before reaching this point. You will want to be ready to get him. Once he times out, you will not have another Chance to pull him into your game. He has a 4hr task, Play with Toy Mouse, that will help drop Scythe’s. Part of Absolute Killers Clam Group. Reward of 20 Clams for completing the Group of 4 so far.
You do have til the end of the Event to get Slasher Cat, so take your time with the Pumpkin Tower and do not craft it til you are ready or if you do… don’t tap on the Movie Projection Booth.
UNHOLY NUNS
They will not appear in the game until you reach Death at the Drive-In Part 2. These are the NPC’s you will need to clear during this part of the Event. In order to clear them, you will need Holy Water Balloons.
UnHoly Nun: Requires 1 Holy Water Balloon to create a Launcher at the Movie Prop Shack. Put the Launcher in front of the Unholy Nun to clear them. You will know they are in the path of the Launcher by their appearance turning Purple in color.
Each Nun Hit dropped 10Popcorns
Holy Water Balloons (ALWAYS): Peter Desecrate Graves OR Mort Lose Cell Phone Signal OR Chris Check Out the Basement OR Bonnie Wear Inappropriate Shoes OR Crazy Joe’s Car Wash
Holy Water Balloon Launcher: This will be located at the Movie Prop Shack. Tap on the Shack to open it up and see what you need. You will need 1 Holy Water Balloon to get a Launcher to take out an Unholy Nun.
Basically once you get a Launcher, you tap on an Unholy Nun. The screen will tell you how many you have of the Launchers, tap on it and it will take you to the screen.
You will see a “Circle” and the Launcher. Just drag the Launcher and move it around just like a Building or Decoration until you have it right in front of the path of an Unholy Nun… then wait til they enter the Circle… (they turn Purple when in Circle) and tap the Check to place it and fire away.
If you are not ready yet, tap the X and go back out of the screen.
The Unholy Nuns go all over the place, so you will have to look for them.
SLASHER CAT & LOIS
This will start appearing after Death at the Drive-In Part 1. It will randomly show up and start attacking Lois. While she is being attacked, she will not be able to be used. In other words you will not be able to assign her tasks or clear her check marks will she is being attacked. You will need to get Slasher Bait Peter to clear them off of her.
Requires Slasher Cat to be Chasing Lois & Slash Bait Peter to be free. Just tap on Lois & Slasher Cat, then tap “GO” to get Slasher Bait Peter to come clear Slasher Cat from Lois. Payout of up to 15 Popcorns

Great site. I have a wierd question for the group that may be easily answered to my newbie ism….I am at level at the werewolf movie, but no werewolves to be found, My movie props are showing 20 crossbows and 12 cannons, but i can’t put any in queue anymore. any thougts.

It is just letting you know Phase 3 is coming. No worries. It will launch the usual time of around 6-9PM Pacific. I will update if anything else comes up like last week causing a delay. Otherwise… 6-9PM will be the time frame to anticipate new arrivals. You’ll also see a post from me on it. 🙂

Ok this is getting ridiculous I was just barely at scream level 5 a couple of hours ago. Now I am at level 6 and it is now costing me 80 buckets of popcorn per reel. They better fix this. They have been notified

You did see there are 4 OTHER items that come into play in the exchange for reels from Concessions, right? THAT is why they change… they become less useful as game progresses.

I completely get and understand that they change. The thing is it took days to get to level 2 from 1. And then it took a couple hours to get from the end of 4 to the beginning of six. It’s going to take a week before I can get slasher cat lol

Well this is odd. The Slasher Cat movie has expired. It says “Next Movie Playing:” “Get to Level 4”, “Complete this First” and shows an hourglass under it. I already am Level 4 however. The Slasher Cat movie is still playing. Is anyone seeing anything else?

Hello… I messed up. I placed the Pumpkin Tower and without going back in to the Projector Room, I somehow triggered the 24 hor timer on The Slasher Cat (8th prize). The mathematics don’t allow me to get it, ie. number of Popcorns I can get won’t allow me to get 100 movie reels. Is ther anything I can do?

I was scream level 3 when I logged into the game just now and needed another 50 or so points to reach level 4 I clicked on a item that gave me fright points I think like 5 points and I not only reached level 4 but I jumped to level 5

I’m excited for Phase 2, but also scared at the same time because of the unknown. And with all of these changes they’ve been making while gearing up for Phase 2 makes everything seem a little unpredictable. I’m definitely forward to new posts here, as they will definitely help and prepare us for what’s to come.

Well tinyco just got an ear full from me. At the beginning of my level 3 scream level they started charging 45 buckets per reel, now that I just started on level 4 it is charging me 60 per reel. I am actually spending a good amount of clans on this event and it’s bad enough I am still behind but now I will be lucky to be getting slasher cat by the third damn movie. Anybody else getting robbed like I am?

Before you freak out… they DO change. It is how it is meant to be as MORE Concessions then just Popcorn come into play to exchange for Reels. So you won’t need to rely on only Popcorn as Event Progresses. It was all laid out in this post as well as several others. Reels are here to stay the entire Event. It’s not like they’re going away. 😉

I have gotten used to the fact that this game is a huge money grab for TinyCo and despite some of the bugs have been able to enjoy the game overall. However, it is small things like the surprise 24-hour countdown on Slasher Cat that really frustrate me as a user who wants to be loyal. I am fine with some of the cash that I have put into this, but the honest fact about this is that I should not have to spend cash on every single event.
I visit this site when I get stuck or am not sure about something. But I try not to read ahead and spoil the fun of the game. Bunny’s comment above stating that this site is a “driver’s manual” for the game should not be relevant. This site does a great job of informing users and giving advice, but it should not be required reading to avoid surprises in the game that are not well thought out by the developer. To put it simply, I want to enjoy the game as I play it, and not ruin that experience by reading through spoilers. If I came to read through every event, then why should I even bother playing the game?

You don’t HAVE to read though. Many times I point out the obvious. Like on this. His amount was in Menu from day one. His timer in FAQ from day one. Players can educate themselves enough to know what’s coming on their own… just have to look.
I just go into a LOT more details and explanations that may give help BEYOND what the game offers and draw attention to things overlooked. 🙂

You just progress at your pace until you reach the new content. Being back a lil may not hurt as you can see what’s coming, avoid catch points, learn strategies…. then go head on prepared 😉

Although I regularly come here when I am stuck and this site is very helpful. I am frustrated with TinyCo and the 24 hr timer on Slasher Cat which is an Unachievable task. The only purpose of this would be to force you to buy clams to achieve it. I don’t feel you should have to seek out help before a task or be totally screwed like I am. Arghhgg

It’s like a Driver’s Manual… you know the basics of how to use it… but there are hidden features you may not know that a manual provides. Same with any Electronic Device out there. Same with any game. Game Manual have been around as long as games existed. Difference is you have worldwide internet access now. So they’re all online. 🙂

Hm, so accumulating 120 film reels at Scream Level 2 means 24 lots of five, multiplied by 35 Popcorn buckets at current exchange rates, divided by ten per Unholy Nun, means clearing 84 Unholy Nuns. Assuming of course that I ignore that darn cat.
It’s a bit weaselly of TinyCo to spring that Slasher Cat 24-hour timer on unsuspecting players. Thanks for the warning, Bunny et al.

Is Classic Horror Tropes a quest line I really need to work in doing somewhat quickly? It requires characters that I need to get balloon launchers which are important right now. So I’m just wondering if I can let that quest line sit for a little while or if that will put me behind in the game? Not sure if it leads to access of new characters or something like that….

Besides Quagmire’s Go to the Movie task and the Movie House, what else gives you 3D glasses? Also, it seems exceptionally hard to get Scream Points. I’m at 231 and see that I need to be at Level 4 in only about 2 days. Thanks

Hi, after I clear slasher cat off Lois, I put her on the task to earn a scythe for death but then the next thing I know she is back to being chased by the cat and the task has cancelled. How am I supposed to get her to do that task?

Hey Bunny I was noticing in the consession stand that after the tubs of popcorn are sodas that will be exchanged for movie reels. So does that mean once the movie changes the tubs of popcorn will be gone? I’m asking cause if that’s the case I want to make sure I trade all my tubs in before the movie changes in 2 days. Thanks

Thanks for letting us know about the 24 hr timer for Slasher Cat, I stopped before I placed Quagmire’s house so I could a. save up movie reels & b. try to keep my scream level below 4 while I do so, not completely stopped in increasing scream level, just slowing it to make it easier to earn the film reels!

I got Death and his mom’s house for the 24 reels. He was automatically put into my inventory and now I can’t take him out. This is the second time. This happened with the Patrick Stewart character, which has not been fixed either. How to I get both characters out of my inventory? They seem to be stuck in there no matter how many times I’ve clicked on them.

Could I ask if you think the expectation is for us hardcore addicts to unlock all the items in the movie booth before the next update, with new items being added each week, a bit like the Peterpalooza merchandise tent? Or do you think Slasher Cat is expected to be longer term, I’m thinking they expect us to get them quicker with the Pumpkin Tower and Slasher Cat being needed to unlock death, who I plan to grind away at rather than spending every clam I have to unlock him. Don’t mind if he takes a couple of weeks. But just wondered if you think the booth will have as many new items each week? I know we all think you can read TinyCo’s mind but I don’t mind an educated guess 🙂

I do not. I think it will take time and at least into the next week items. 😉
Even with new items, I think you can pace what you do. Hopefully not as many next page will be required and more optional. 🙂

I’m new to the blog, and loving the info. Thanks everyone! As I progress in the game, it seems more difficult! Am I missing something at the drive in? It seems that all I am doing is trying to get movie reels! Now I need enough to clear 45 unholy nuns in just 3 days? Death at the door just got unlocked and it’s timed!! Peter is needed for that, AND to do the holy water balloons for the crafting of the launcher. Plus, I can’t unlock Lois if Peter is doing all these other things, and I can’t craft everything to get to the slasher cat which is also timed! HOW is everyone doing this? The characters are required for every single thing, and they make all the tasks take 5 to 7 hours! I’m about ready to hang up my haunting and put away my broom!!!

It is a lot to process at once, but just focus on one thing at a time. Right now focus on unlocking Peter, getting water balloons/nuns/popcorn/reels, and progressing as you can through the Main questline Death at the Drive In. It will become easier to grasp as you get into it more and more and more. I will note on my posts which one is the Main questline, so keep an eye on the site and the Event Page for all the Event posts. (Event page is a quick link on the home page with the Peter Icon, or at bottom of page on the mobile. Tap on it to go to the page)

Thanks, Bunny! I’ll keep pluggin away! I just wish they didn’t make it so hard by needing all of the main characters for everything, and making all of the tasks take 5 hours or more. Then they time the events/jobs on top of it all. Star trek and the Mob event were so much more fun! Thanks again for your help and encouragement!

Maybe I missed it somewhere but am trying to find a list of which characters drop sunglasses. Movie house is supposed to always drop one, but mine hasn’t dropped any in three days.
I am sure because I have needed 2 more for the creepy doll village, for the last 3 days! I am probably using all the characters that drop the sunglasses for more important tasks right now, like getting water balloons. But wondering, are there any characters who have event tasks solely for sunglasses? Maybe I am missing one or two characters due to my not having them in the right skin?

Report the Movie House please. That is supposed to drop them. As for Characters, ONLY Quagmire drops them right now. Most come from questlines and the Movie House.

Why is Death is only for 24 hours???
I wanted him so badly, and now I wont be able to.
with all the rare and too much unrare items, I have 0 chance to get him.
I have 2 more buildings to get for items for Death…
there no logic in making him only for 24 hours…

You are reading WAY too much into something and panicking for no reason. Death is NOT timed for 24hrs. Only his Bonus. Nothing more.

Oh my good Lord! The souls needed for Death. I live this! I think either it was just a coincidence, but if not, I love it so much as a little “Easter egg” or just a joke cameo. There’s an anime I was obsessed with called Soul Eater. Summing it up, it’s a school for teens to rid of evil in the world by killing and eating their souls, though specific students only. There are two types of souls, one good, the other bad, just to save time to sum things up. The souls needed for Death here, is the same as the good souls in design, legit. Ironically, in the anime, souls are also collected for Lord Death, the head of the school.

Guess not if I did too. I still am a heavy duty Soul Eater fan. This was the best thing I’ve seen. Maybe someone in Tiny Co was a fan as well and decided to add this, who knows 😉

Soul eater was great! I think I watch like all the anime that’s on Netflix cuz most of them are soooo good (story wise). It’s just amazing how people get all these ideas for those animes. Death in that show was particularly awesome how he pretends to talk funny and act funny but when it comes down to being serious he was kickass. I was hoping they have more seansons. U know anything about that bunny?

I know they had Soul Eater Not! a while back, I’m not sure if it came out into the US though, dub wise. But the manga came out. The original Soul Eater manga is heavily deeper and much different compared to the anime.

I’m not exactly the best artist, but I do a bit of sketch drawings in my spare time. But I feel like it would be funny if I could manage to draw this Death holding Lord Death’s mask in one hand and a soul in the other with the phrase: “What did you expect you dumbass?” XD This was a nice treat though lol.

Wow…none of that loaded yesterday. Only the known issues part. I’ve restarted my game a few times and the decorations still aren’t coming up so I guess a call is in order.

They are not an Always drop… so they will vary. However if days pass without any dropped… report it to TinyCo

I just earned death’s mothers house for 24 movie reels. I cannot place her house and it’s stuck in my inventory. When I tap on deaths house in my inventory nothing happens.
Anyone else have this glitch. I closed the app and rebooted my device.

Try to use the Menu itself and go to Inventory and see if you can grab it that way.

I tried the menu thing already. I didn’t purposely place the house in inventory. When I finally got it, the game crashed and when I came back in the game the house was in my inventory 😦 .
I already sent an in game msg to tiny co. So just waiting it out now 😦

I don’t know if I’m just blind, stupid or what but does it say anywhere how many 3-D glasses you have? I’m trying to figure out what to buy and I can’t seem to find what my total is.

No counters available, sorry. But you can tap on the items in your Decorations tab that need them to get an idea of at least how many you have.

That’s too bad… You would think if they had collectible items the required certain amounts, there would at least be somewhere you could see your total. You hear me Tinyco? Next update, counters for all materials.

Haven’t unlocked Slasher Bait Peter yet (almost there!), so I wanted to know whether Peter saving Lois from Slasher Cat was a timed task or not. Is she instantly saved, or is it timed? Neither the game nor your post state that it is timed, but I wanted a confirmation. 😉

It is a random action for the Event, not a one and done. Just like the Nuns. You will be Chasing the Cat off her a lot. 😉

I’ve read through many comments here and on the other post you put up about the main questline for the drive in, I hope you haven’t answered my question already. I know you must stay super busy writing posts, playing the game, moderating comments AND trying to fit in real life stuff too lol, so I had to ask something you’ve already addressed.
Anyway, my question is this, I know a 24 hour timer starts for Slasher Cat after I buy the Pumpkin Tower. If I happen to not get him, will I be able to move on in this event? I’m afraid it will be like Peterpalooza and we will be required to have each week’s “main character” to move forward. I did well earning everyone during that event, that is up till Rick Astley and I never did unlock him which made it impossible for me to finish the main questline for Peterpalooza. I know I can wait to unlock the Pumpkin Tower so the timer doesn’t start. However, I am only asking because Death is who I am really interested in and if I don’t need Slasher Cat I would rather just skip collecting for him altogether and get on with buying the buildings needed to unlock Death since he is who I really want!
Sorry this posting is so long and I do know that you can’t predict what questline next week will bring. I’m just asking if you think he will be a major player based on what you know this far.
Also while I’m writing a novella here, I just want to take the time to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for your dedication to the site, all of your hard work, and time and money spent to help us all have a better gaming experience!! I’ve only been playing since August and your posts have saved my sanity on numerous occasions and has also helped me to not trigger a timed questline until I was fully prepared for it. Being able to anticipate what I need ahead of time has helped me to get not only get super far( almost through District 9 in 2.5 short months) in the game in a short amount of time but also saved me tons of time and helped me earn characters etc that I would have missed out on otherwise. So once again, thank you! I love FGA!

As for Slasher Cat, you can wait to trigger him up til the Event ends by not placing the Pumpkin Tower til then or if you do… not tapping on the Booth. Otherwise he is just an extra Character. I won’t know his uses fully until the Event is about done… so not sure where else he will come into play. So I look at him like a Rapper Brian or a Makeover Meg from last Event. There “might” be an extra time they’ll be used… but hard to say.

If Death needs Brimstone from the Pumpkin Tower, how will it work to wait to unlock it for a chance at Slasher Cat? So you suspect we’ll have to choose between the Cat & Death? (That would NOT be cool IMO)

Not really…. just use caution. Try to keep earning as many Movie Reels as you can and stock up for Slasher Cat. Then… avoid that Projection Booth like the Plague until your are close enough to 100 reels to have them all in 24hrs. 😉

Okay, so are you saying that if I have enough reels to get the pumpkin tower, I can go into the projection booth and place the pumpkin tower without triggering the 24 hour timed challenge for slasher cat? Only if I open the projection booth AFTER I place the pumpkin tower will it start the timer …?
