TinyCo has dropped another awesome Event into our Quahogs. This time we are gonna go back to those “Scary Movies” of the past. The ones that send chills up your spine. Make those lil hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Make your heart start beating a lil faster. hack hack hack hack chop chop chop chop kill kill kill kill….
With this New Scary Movie Scene Event, comes many New Questlines. Questlines like the Main one for Week 1 of the Event, Death At The Drive-In.

i have got everything done to unlock the supernatural movie but it wont unlock. question if i didnt get death unlock in the 24 hours that he was placed do i not get him now? im still working on getting his stuff. if not that will suck!!

Hmmm….just reached 620 {have 621} scream level….but says I am at lvl 5 (totally skipped lvl 4)… Popcorn for movie reels jumped from 35 to 60 just since about 6 hours ago…and it won’t let me trigger the new movie reel which was active almost 20 mins ago….. In the movie screen, where it says ”do this first”, it is a blank panel….. Anyone else having this issue?
I closed the app, forced closed in app menu, and cleared cache. I have not restarted device…. And I am loathe to clear data or uninstall/reinstall

As noted, I jumped straight from scream 3 to 5 ….. But didn’t see til later that my scream level over top of movie screen still said 2 …..
Either way, should have pumpkin tower and slasher cat released in just a few hours… So I’m not mad 😉

Not sure if this is the correct thread, but I thought after you created the pumpkin jump house thing that the 24 challenge triggered for slasher cat? I have been grinding towards 100 film reels before I created it so I would have enough for slasher cat. However, when I created, placed, and went back into the drive in, nothing triggered. I’m on part 7 of the main quest line if that matters. Thanks for all yalls hard work!

Not even close to getting Slasher Cat. I’m still working on the Herculean task of collecting item for mr death. Btw squashing 45 nuns in 2-3 days it was, impossible. Same as the task of getting death in two w non stop playing (and it’s way too expensive to buy in claims) Thanks.

Is there a list of characters who earn items in this event, other than the ones who earn items for Slasher Bait Peter or Death? I have most characters in inventory. Are there any that give 3D glasses or Scream points for tasks?

Quagmire so far is the ONLY one that drops glasses. Scream points mainly questlines and buildings or decorations created.

Help me please , I’ve been playing this game for quite a while now and I never had a problem when we had new events until now . The game arena popped up but none of the task are coming up like death at drive thru part 1 and I’m not seeing any nuns or anything on the game . It’s like the game downloaded the event but I can’t really play it bc none of the task are coming up . Am I doing something wrong or is it the game

Did you follow all the guidelines for the Event? Up to date in your app market? Game saved and linked to an email or Facebook so you can try an uninstall/reinstall?

First time poster, only playing Quest for Stuff a bit less than 2 weeks. First, a big THANK YOU to this site and the people who take the time to keep it up; found it 2nd day in and it has helped immensely…. One word ~Farms! Lol. And very helpful when I got hit over the head with Septemberfest almost immediately 😉
Trial by fire….now Death event!
Sooo…a couple days into event, I have saved Lois from Slasher Cat, placed Death’s mom’s house (but will not pay 1450 clams to unlock Death within 24 hours), and have Poppy the Salted.
My dilemma…. Do I place the other two buildings that give event materials (frankly, 1 marble every 18 hours isn’t all that enticing)….or save precious clams for a possible last minute push to get Death? I really want Death!!!
Any insights?

My stand point is to ALWAYS save Clams. Earn all you can for Free first, then decide if it will really be worth it to you to invest. Save those Clams for cool unique new characters or other items that will make YOU happy. Many items do help you go faster and get things quicker, but can be earned with some patience and time put in instead. Do you want to invest the time or the dime? That is the trade off.
I always look at a Clam purchase like this… 3 months or more from now, you still gonna be happy with it? Or regretting it?

Hi there everyone. My. Anyone else think it seems hard to raise your scream level? Still level 2 here tho i constantly do ehat it takes? Just got death’s moms house’ which gave 96 axes, or w/e it’s called. Anything else giving a high amount? And what decorations is most value to build with 3d glasses?

Is it impossible to do part 7 (Lois task) until Peter’s costume is unlocked due to the cat chasing Lois? I thought this was meant to be intermittent but Lois is always being chased in my game.
Now that I have the first three prizes from the projection thing, it hopefully won’t be too much longer before I get Slasher Bait Peter

Don’t worry. It’s as intended. The Questline isn’t meant to be rushed and done in one day, so they will always have some kind of “item needs unlocked” point to move forward in it. You still have 4 days before anything new is released. Just keep playing and having fun. 🙂

There isn’t much I can trouble shoot. It isn’t just the event area…I click on a nun, my game crashes. I click the clever in the bottom corner, my game crashes. I’m fairly new as a player (been playing since tge last week of Mobsters), and don’t have anything but a traffic light in my inventory, everything I own is out in the town and everything works fine with the exception of stuff related to this event…

I just put a bunch of stuff into my inventory, still crashing with everything I try to click that’s event-related. I’ve force closed and restarted my whole phone a few times. I guess I’m just not allowed to play this event. I blame Meg.

Did you tap on the link? It sounds like you have a Memory issue with your game/device. There may be TOO much going on in your town for your device to handle. Like you said, “Everything I own is out in the town”… that is a HUGE issue when it comes to using RAM on your device.
Use the many tips offered in the link I posted. I bet storing items away will help. 🙂

Okay, I deleted hundreds of pictures and 10 apps from my phone, put most of my in-game stuff into storage, restarted, and it’s still crashing if I try to click anything event related 😦

This game crashing s historically a huge memory/space hog.
1) Best practices are every few events uninstall and reinstall the game. When the game updates, it doesn’t remove old files from previous events thereby leaving much digital clutter on your device. Installed with an event included should take up roughly 250mb. First time I uninstalled the game it was at almost 3gb after a year of gameplay.
2) Depending on how many apps you have running in the background, you may not have enough available memory to continue playing seamlessly. Before launching the game, shut down as many background apps/tasks/widgets/etc as you can. By design it uses as much memory as is available to buffer the game. The more you have running, then the less available memory for the game.
3) Animations are cool but suck up a lot of memory as each animation is multiple images run in succession. Try putting away as many animated objects in the game as you can and you’ll notice a significant increase in performance of your game.
Sadly I fear that the game is starting to outgrow devices by their current standards. The real benefit of PC’s versus devices is realized fully when awesome games like this one struggle to be played as the designers intend. Best of luck.

How can Louis br am up love birds in pt 7 if she is still being chased by the slasher cat. Then in part 8 they want you to save her from the slasher cat?

Get Peter. It’s essentially the point of the Questline. You need to hit certain markers at certain Parts. It is to move you along with the week’s event. We still have 4 days left in this weeks content, no need to rush. Just focus on getting Peter and then progress. 🙂

I was trying to finish up Part 8. I sent Lois on the task Hide From Slasher Cat which is an 8 hr task. I just went to check on her progress and she is no longer performing that task. Instead she is being chase around town by Slasher Cat again. Did this happen to anyone else?

Yes. It will attack her at anytime. No worries, once you clear the cat she will go back to what she was doing.

I’m wondering what is the spawn rate for Lois with the slasher cat. My Lois was doing a task for Death and after 2 hours or so suddenly she was being chased by the cat. lol!
It would be very difficult to keep track on her time as she was needed to unlock Death.

Nope. Just random. It will attack her at all times. On a task or not. But if she is on a task, as soon as you clear him… she will go right back to the task as if nothing happened

I am loving this update. I know it is early, but I think this is my favorite event we’ve ever had in the game. I love horror movies and Halloween, so this one was perfect for me. I’m glad I didn’t ditch the game like I’d been considering after the Peterpalooza disappointment. I’m really hoping Chucky and Michael will either be premiums or easy to win, so I’ll be guaranteed to get them.

They should have reversed step 7 and 8 since Lois begins the event locked off from being used for anything until you can unlock peters new outfit and save her from Slasher Cat.

Really hope this is permanent as it will save me a bunch of time but i wont be able to test it again for another 5 hours.

My question might need more testing or whatnot and a little premature but I’m curious if you know how often slasher cat can chase after lois? Just unlocked slasher bait Peter so I saved Lois, set her on breaking up lovebirds and then went about slaughtering nuns…I look back a minute later and slasher cat is giving chase once more! So it’s a multi part question but can slasher cat just continually chase after her or is there supposed to be some cool down time in between? Also does all the chasing end when you finally unlock slasher cat?

Slasher Cat & Lois are completely separate then Slasher Cat the fully tasked Character. So want to get that out of the way right off.
Think of Slasher Cat & Lois as a “side” task, just an image of an item that shows up and interacts with a Character until the “task” is done. Just like the Visual tasks Characters have. As for how often, it is random. There is no time set when the Slasher Cat & Lois “task” will trigger.

Characters are Unique to an Event. It is rare they will come back again. There is a LOT of reasons why that would take forever to explain. Regardless, TinyCo is trying to reuse past Characters for Events.
This is not the only game that is this way. MANY games I play including the other one I write on RARELY re-use an Event Unique Character again for another Event.

Someone asked spawn time for the unholy nuns, tap the movie screen, there is a timer under where it says Hollywood Horrors. 3 unit nuns are released each time the “Visitors Timer” reaches 0. The time starts counting down from 1 hour 18 minutes. Earlier I had 14 nuns in my town, the best I could count anyway, those lil boogers move super fast!!

I know, they do move fast. I’m embarrassed to say I missed my first one and 3 others here n there. Playing on a small phone doesn’t help!

Ugh, so have I. Those chicks are in a hurry lol I have also had to hit the X a million times and I am playing on a tablet with a fairly large screen. I don’t know how you do it on a small phone screen! Good luck, hope you hit them all!

What works for me is to use both hands on my little iPhone 5s. Tap nun with right index finger to stop her, keeping left thumb hovering over launcher icon. Once the nun stops, hit launcher icon with left thumb, while right index finger is hovering over spot with check mark. Once she goes purple, hit the check mark with right index finger. If anything makes me hesitate (such as if the check bar is too low and not accessible) wait and hit X if needed to stop launcher and try again. Make sure the zoom isn’t high or else the check bar will not be fully accessible. Apparently this procedure gives me the extra fractions of a second I need to do a quick melt with no need to adjust the aim. I’m not good at aiming…

Things are going well and I love this event. My only worry is the 620 scream points. I know it’s early, but I almost have Slasher Bait Peter, and I will get Death Moms house tomorrow and I only have 48 scream points. Percentage wise compared to past events, this is really low for me. Do the remaining items start racking them up quicker than two every 6-8 hours?

Sorry I wasn’t sure where I should post this because this is totally random but do you know if FGTQFS can be played on an amazon fire tablet? I was thinking about purchasing one soley based on this game because it’s sooo much slower on my phone and it’s hard for me to keep up with big events because the game won’t load sometimes.

The biggest thing I run into on my Fire is space. Space Space Space. It fills up so very fast and drives me nuts. My phone has 120GB, all my tablets at least 64GB, my iPod 64GB, and then the fire… like 8 or 12GB. Just not enough for me… but I take a TON of Screenshots from the games too. Just know that the smaller GB of space you have, the less items you can put on it with an App like Family Guy or the other we write on loaded onto it.

Really just don’t worry on it if you do not plan on spending Clams. Just go at a pace that fits you. Unlock will honestly depend on YOUR play, YOUR drops, YOUR progress… so it will vary per Player. Just have fun and see where it takes you. 🙂

What’s the capacity for nuns?
Knowing how many nuns can be in a town may make it easier to effectively use the balloons for multiple hits.

I asked. Spawns usually aren’t released to public. I’ve had up to 12 in my game at a time. Still testing but takes time so bare with me. 😉

I’ve only been able to hit one at a time. Even when I’ve had 3 in my cross hairs! Is this a glitch or can we only hit one at a time?

This event is pretty cool now that I think I’ve got the hang of it. I’m still a ways off from unlocking Slasher Peter as I’ve got the majority of my characters earning water balloons. It should be pretty interesting to see what horror characters they have for us, I’d like to see some of the classic Universal monsters roaming around my town, like Dracula or Frankenstein.

If the game was a Universal property, you might see Frankie or Drac. It is a Fox property so you will see Freddy, Jason and Predator which are Fox properties.

I can’t help but think that tinyco totally rip off this event from “the last action hero” with Arnold Schwarzenegger. I think only anyone who is as old as me and bunny and Alisa will remember the movie. We were kids when this movie game out. I remember seeing death going into a theather and touch the screen and things just comes to life….no wait…death comes to life cuz of a golden ticket. Ahhh….the golden year….oh ohhh remember that show?….ahhh…life….now it’s bills, bills and more kids.

Lol. You could say that about any show or movie or cartoon around. Something always is an idea or concept that sparks another. Like Blue Harvest and all the random appearances of items and Characters from all walks of life in the Family Guy Series. It’s who they are. Just like Robot Chicken.
So not a “rip off”. More an inspiration or a “nod” to something you enjoy in life. 🙂

Ugh I do t have the peter skin to save Lois from slasher cat and I’m at part 7 of the questline.

As the Peter that rescues Lois IS the Slasher Peter, I’d say the answer is yes. When you tap on the cat, it shows you need Slasher Peter to do the action.
