WHAT THE DEUCE… I want more lil Decoration. I’m seeing a ton of really cool things I want in my game. Trees, bushes, sidewalks, dirt, fences… PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me more PERMANENT Decorations from this event!!
WHAT THE DEUCE… Someone had to go on a drunk driving rampage and knock out Internet for a lot of businesses and homes. Come on people. If you’re gonna drink, at least act like an adult and take a cab. NOTHING is worth driving under influence. Nothing at all. Risking your life and all those innocent bystanders is just… well… stupid.

WHAT THE DEUCE!?! Amount of popcorn need for 5 movie reels just jumped from 35 to 80! WTD? More than half! BIG OUCH!! Was close to getting the 120 needed to release Pumpkin Tower and then Slasher Cat as per Bunny’s perfect tip (Thank you hunny Bunny), but just got shoved back a few squares. So again..What The Deuce!!

First post here but WTD?? I intentionally did not tap on the projection booth to start the timer for slasher cat and when I log in I get bumped up to level 4 (thats not the bad part) but checking the quests started the 24 hour timer on slasher cat. Love the site and the help you always give but this was just a curveball out of nowhere.

WTD? Started out the day level 3 needing 35 popcorn for 5 reels. Leveled up to 4 so jumped to 45 popcorn. 1 Reel away from slasher cat and now something (don’t know what, still level 4) has caused it to jump to 60 (!!!!!) popcorns for 5 reels. Argh!!!!! I was 1 nun kill away now it’s 3. Feels like I will never get him unlocked.

While I appreciate the drop in scream level-up requirements it came at a bad time as I was chipping away at getting Slasher Cat. Now I need even more popcorn to get the movie reels since I leveled up to 4. *sigh* Time to go nun huntin.

They adjusted the requirements. It is a good thing. The New Phase drops TODAY. Need to be on Level 4 to go into new content. 😉

There should be a building or decoration that gives everybody a 1 hour task no matter who they are. It would give everyone the same task, but at least I could give everyone a task that will take the same amount of time. There are so many gaps in everyone’s tasks, time-wise. It’s mostly the event characters who only have a few tasks. And why are there no odd hour tasks?

My WTD is this…
Why must the game developers insist on making things so ridiculously long.
To unlock stuff you need film reels
To get film reels you need popcorn
To get popcorn you need to kill the unholy nuns
To kill the unholy nuns you need water balloons
To get water balloons you need to send your characters on tasks. (Some characters needed anyway for other item drops for the event)… you catch my drift!
And this is just WEEK ONE of the event and I point out refuse to spend money on this game to speed it up not since I got mugged off during the Don event…
I have been so happy with TSTO lately and the well thought out events and plenty of land and decorations you can get in there. That’s where my attention is at the moment.
If the second weeks worth of tasks/goals are just as tedious then I will be saying goodbye. Which is a shame as I’ve had no end of fun, but the last few months of play have not been enjoyable as it once was…

So much yes for this post. I love this game, but the events are really starting to wear me down due to the ridiculously stressful and drawn-out progress structure. Maybe I just didn’t finish recuperating from that last disappointing week of peterpalooza, but I can’t bring myself to really get into this one. I’m playing, but only half-heartedly lol. And I agree, tsto has been awesome lately. I can’t wait to see what event they drop.
Maybe when this last plutonium drops and I finally have stewie, my motivation to play this event will be restored. Maybe. But I will probably end up focusing on the base game in Family Guy and beast out on whatever event tsto has to offer this time around. 🙂

So, Officer Scrotes “Manscape” task STILL isn’t animated on iOS devices. Also, that cafe building from valentines and the DEA helicopter are still all green. Tiny_Matt said he was going to let them know, but that was months ago and neither issue is fixed yet. Finally, I suppose we are just never going to return to full HD graphics ever again? I have an iPad Air 2 and it just looks so horrible when I zoom in to look at a character or building…

Not Hallowe’en related but WTD has happened to Weird Al’s blammy throne animation? Not only does he no longer build it, but it’s silver… (I could imagine them to be platinum but…) For the amount of my hard earned free clams I spent on him I want to see him build the throne as stated in the action name! (it was much funnier to watch then too).

Currently I’m at 219 scream points and I’ve completed the quest line. I think tinyco may have slightly over estimated how many scream points people would get. I am slightly irritated that the same characters are needed for everything. Really hoping week 2 involves different characters so the current ones can focus on unlocking death. I’m still missing the way they used to have events 😦

Im struggling here nowhere near reaching level 3 and the pop up to reach level 4 has just appeared which means i can no longer trade for film reels and i haven’t even got enough reels to get deaths moms house yet so basically i cant do anything at the moment??

I somehow feel like I’m missing something. I’ve played constantly since the beginning of the event and barely hit 225 scream points. I’m currently working on unlocking Quagmire’s haunted house and don’t see how it’s possible to get the 395 that I need to hit scream level 4 before 3pm Thursday and not fall behind in the event overall. It’d be nice if I could send all my other unused characters on the 2 hour movie task for 1 pair 3D glasses at least to get more scream points from decorations. Quagmire ain’t got time for the movies when he’s constantly earning me balloons.

I’m very disappointed by the handling of the 24 hour timed events, and I wouldn’t be if they hadn’t fixed the issue after the mobster event. They finally did the right thing and started giving a warning that the timed event was available, but you didn’t have to start it until you were ready. But not only have they stopped giving us warnings, they’ve made it impossible to avoid the timers even when you know they’re coming. In case TinyCo’s wondering, these are the things that frustrate players.

WTD@ TinyCo assigning characters, who get Balloons are also assigned to unlock Death.
WTD@ Lois being the only character to get items for Death that isn’t getting Balloons gets attacked by Slasher Cat.
WTD@ the stupid warning notice that pops up when I load the game saying my game is low of storage memory even though I have 200M plus free. That message shouldn’t pop up until I’m under 50M.
WTD@ Family Guy being a memory storage hog. I cleared my town and game data and after I relog into my saved game and everything is reloaded my device says the game is using 120M of storage. There’s nothing in my town, so why does it need so much? Are TinyCo using BMP graphics?

My only WTD is that, unless they make week 2 a little easier, this special event is going to be a total grind. From what I read, I will need 120 movie reels to get the pumpkin tower and slasher cat. I currently have 8. With 3 days to go until the week 2 tasks hit, earning the reels in time is an impossibility. Just blowing off steam….

I’m from Spain (Europe), I don’t known if this had happened only in my country but the prices for buying clams have been raised around 5-6 € (6-7 $?). It’s outrageous.
Is this an official raise or only to skin us for the event?
I’m getting tired of this abuse, since some months ago the game has become a continuous money pit event, while the technical issues pile unatended.
I starting to think that they are afraid the series is going south, because (and I’m a big fan of the serie) the last two seasons have been lame, so they are siphoning as much as they can while the show is still alive.
It is decided. After Halloween I’m taking a long rest fron the game. And watching what the game is becoming I don’t think I’m coming back.

Let me first draw your attention to something very specific (a quick search online would offer this too)… TinyCo has NOTHING to do with prices outside the USA. Nothing what so ever. That is something set, maintained, managed, and adjusted by the App Market itself (Apple, Google Play, Amazon, etc). Those prices reflect YOUR countries currency and it’s stability against the US dollar. The same as it would cost you if you visited the USA to exchange YOUR money into US Dollars. That exchange rate varies from country to country all over the world.
So in order to make sure the “value” is the same, money amounts fluctuate to match the current Country Money vs US Dollar exchange rate. Sorry, but that is something you will have to take up with each countries money value. In other words, I highly doubt this is the ONLY app that is impacted by the money values worldwide. 😉

To be fair, those outside of the U.S. wouldnt be aware that there was no change in the price of clams and that it was therefore related to the interest rate. I contacted TinyCo and they said they – not the payment portals – were increasing costs in line with current rates, plus there is a sales tax as well, which has resulted in making it look like every EU economy has gone into a massive decline. Imagine seeing a package of 600 clams suddenly become increasing by $6 – that’s the sort of rise we’re looking at. Had it occurred gradually, as the interest rate changed since the game began, I doubt anyone would really noticed. The cynic in me wonders will we see a drop in price if the interest rates go the other way…

This event is going to be the absolute drizzling sh…..you get the idea. The start of it already has me ticked off with the nonsense token clam grab “get death in 24 hours to get this nonsense prize”. That along with TinyCo’s absolutely horrendous track record regarding events this year means that once I get Death, I’m gonna turn the game off and wait it out. I cannot see any possible way whatsoever that this event won’t be a horrible, frustrating, tedious grind. TinyCo isn’t about to let an event go by without turning off half their player base. Just isn’t going to happen.

My WTD is death, seriously, i work really hard to get all those film reels, and just get deaths house, now i have to get all these items for death !, and comeon six extra rares. This event is gonna suck.

Although maybe we won’t need them once we get all the other stuff needed for Death. I knew there was a reason I didn’t particularly like that character… I do like his mom’s house, but I don’t care if I unlock him.

I don’t object to buying premium things once in a while, and I know that premium purchases keep the lights on, but 250 clams ($15) to buy one building that gives event currency that will probably only be useful this week (given that there are four other currencies shown for a 35-day event) seems a bit over the top. WTD?

So i got my Brian to level up enough to get the pop up that i can now create the banana suit Brian, but it ALSO showed a Pink Brian. instead of going to create now, i closed it because im trying to allocated tasks to characters to get stuff for the current event as i work too much lol and dont have a lot of time at once to do stuff. well i figured hey id go to harringtons wheni have a chance, but PINK Brian is not there for creation. Anyone have any clues?

Pink Brian was a limited time Character. You can’t make him. You have to wait for him to come back. You probably just saw a temporary image of the Costume. Nothing more. Sorry

Same here. I contacted customer support, but I’m not holding out hope. I had an issue during the mobster event that they didn’t respond to until the event was over, and that was to tell me they’d been unable to respond to me before the event ended (duh), and that they couldn’t refund for any currency, real or otherwise, spent during the event. Which wasn’t even my issue.
Here’s to hoping this bug is fixed before the event ends.

Have you tried this…
Go directly to your Menu in the game, then to Inventory option, then to Event or Building Tab and try to place it? Outside that, they’re aware of the issue and working on a patch. Like Murder Point.

Peter just finished his task in that quest so I got him to get rid of the cat and lois went back to murder point and continued the task I put her on originally with the time left about right ,worry over

Seriously that’s messed up!! If she’s on a short task and Peter is on a long one how is the time reconciled? I was under the impression she could not be attacked if already on another task.

Why do the characters who drop items for Death have to be the same ones who can get popcorn?! Means prioritising one over the other – just another way for tinyco to force poppy the salted on us!

I wish they would take RARE & EXTRA RARE out of the game… there are players who do not have the ability to purchase HUGE amounts of clams to enable progress in the game… I have been stuck on Tom tucker for a MONTH because the sat dish & Green bottle rarely cone up… THIS USED TO BE A FUN GAME, NOW IT SEEMS TO BE A CORPORATE TOOOL! That plus not being able to finsh things (was two books away from getting Opie, now that makes 5 characters I wanted and could not get…) I get the feeling that the Simpsons game would be just like this… SOMEONE DIG OUT MY POPEYE GAME…!

So my wtd is as follows:
Perform a task to earn an item to craft an item to remove a roamer to get 10 items to purchase the closest thing to event currency to buy another item that generates items needed to craft a skin to generate more items…..with a rapid increase of need and mandatory to free up a hijacked character….wtd? Did I miss the memo on chaos theory being introduced to the game?

I don’t have a WTD …yet at least but my only hope for this event is that they will bring back alien predator Jason and Freddy to help earn things in this years event… I am so optimistic that I even took them out of my inventory

Just sent this idea to TinyCo. Whether it’ll become a feature, who knows, but I think it would be a good feature:
I think there should be some way to see all characters’ actions in a list so that they can all be seen and monitored at once. I’d love to be able to compare everyone’s actions at the same time in a list and be able to see how soon certain characters will be finished with their actions compared to other characters. It would be great if the list showed the character, their task name, maybe the building they are in/clap board if outside, a status bar, and any items with their rarity if the action gives an item. It would cool to a have another tab for a list of buildings and their status as well. We can already easily see the status of all costumes easily in Al’s, the status of any buildings being built by looking around the town, and we can easily find characters not currently performing a task via the character finder. But it would be great to have a centralized place for seeing all character task progresses/statuses at once and all building progresses/statuses at once without having to click on each building or character individually. And perhaps the lists could be sorted by time, soon to be finished tasks on top with tasks with a long wait at the bottom.
The game is very organized in some ways, but character actions progress/building progress is an area that organization could be improved.

Anyone else having a problem killing the nuns? I killed about 8 now and it still counts 1. Each time I kill one it dies and them the game crashes immediately. This is getting old and I’m never going to progress at this rate!

Try storing away some more items in your town to cut down on Memory Drain. After doing so, restart Device. Once done, try again. In meantime, report it to TinyCo (though they may suggest the same).

Why can’t we auto place a building for a task if it’s in inventory? Searching through the list for a specific building is time consuming. Maybe if there was some organization to it, it’s be ok. If we need a character for a task and they’re in inventory, they get pulled out. Why not the same for a building? Can’t say enough how frustrating it is to have to keep going in and out of inventory to place a building just so a character can perform a task.

You can I’ve recently discovered. If you are in the characters task list and hit the go icon for the locked task the game will place the relevant building for you.

Are Marty McFly and Doc Brown NOT coming Back To The Future!?!? How can this be!? How. Can. This. Be. There are multiple times BTTF is featured in the show. AND the date is upon us! I really thought for sure it would happen. I’ve been waiting since day one, saving my clams, saving precious land! I even thought they may tie it in with Teen Wolf for the Halloween deal but that doesn’t fit any of the “upcoming movies”. Super disappointed and I did let them know – no response 😦

My gripe right now is similar to a lot of people’s. I would like to see something of use from last year’s event, even if it is minor.
For example, giving Freddy, Jason, etc tasks to drop some 3d glasses for decorations, even if it is their 1 day task. I’d also like to see something like that from the costumes from last year, so the Ghostbuster costumes and the Slutty Cat Meg and Witch Connie.
Making it drop something for decorations doesn’t give long time players a huge advantage but it provides an acknowledgement that TinyCo appreciates them being here for a long time.

Keep in mind we are only roughly 4 days into a 35 day event.
There is the very real possibility that Slutty cat Meg and Witch Connie could still be used, same for last years Halloween characters.
People often times get upset that characters from past events,, or skins that would seem perfect for the current event are not being used (My self included),, but we have to remember that we are only 4 days into the 5 week event,, lets see how it unfolds.

I realize that. I’m just voicing my gripe and giving the possible fix now because TinyCo does sometimes look at these blogs and perhaps by voicing these concerns they can fix it and put something in their schedule for future weeks. Keeping silent and pretending everything is perfect just doesn’t do anyone any good. 😀

4 days in a very long event. Now where have I heard that before? Oh: Star Trek. Where making progress towards level 2 was crazy. If I recall, half way through the event I still wasn’t there. And I played that one seriously, not like now.

There should be an alternate way to get things that cost high amounts of clams. There should either be some new element added to the game to allow players to earn the items rather than using clams; or there should be an option to use coins instead (the coin equivalent would be very high but it would more feasible than using clams).

Sounds great on paper, but if everything was earnable then no one would buy anything and people buying stuff is the only reason this game exists. BTW it wouldn’t matter anyhow people would still cry that it’s to hard to earn them.

You make a very good point about money being spent on clams is what make this game possible, that having been said, since many and I mean Many players have literally MILLIONS of coins sitting in their banks going unused,, so if they created an exchange rate of say 1 Clam = 25k coins then a person sitting with 4 million coins could say,, hmm do I want to spend the 4 million coins it took me months to collect to get 160 clams?
seeing as how most characters cost between 200-250 clams,, and most skins cost between 100-150 clams people would still be buying lots of clams and Tinyco would still make a very nice profit,, and people would finally have a use for collecting coins.

Murder Point just dropped two ciggies for me, after finally dropping the first one earlier today. Maybe they’re compensating for the dry spell?

Yes, that finally dawned on me when I got two jackets for Peter at once also from another building. The bank is a cheapskate with a single drop, as expected from bankers. But Murder Point definitely first dropped just a single ciggie, my total was 3 after the double. This would be a perfect task for Brian….

This Halloween event upgrade has just been aweful! I haven’t been able to play since this event started, once I finally get it to load it goes super slow my characters hardly move then it kicks me off. I’m done. I’ll check back in once this event is over.

I agree with adam burner. They should bring back last years character. Especially freddy and jason, they are horror movie related. Players who got them get a little extra advantage. Freddy’s tool shed, quagmire’s cabin, the halloween house skins etc etc. Plus, how come you cannot target two nuns at a time but you are able to miss it 😠

Murder Point. The only way to get Funny Cigarettes. I’m 1-6 which is absolutely pathetic considering it’s a common drop. Meanwhile all other items for Slasher Peter have been collected.
Why does TC continue this absurd collect this to get that to make this to kill that when so many have lamented this style of game play is insufferable? Their creative team needs to implement something fresh as these events are just rehashing the same game play and it’s become a total bore not to mention predictable.

I love this game. But it won’t let me place Death’s mom’s house. I bought it, and now it’s just sitting in my inventory and it won’t let me select and place it. I’ve tried restarting the game but nothing is working. Does anyone know how I can fix it?

I was having that same issue with Death’s Mom’s House for about 2 days, but I was just able to place it. Here’s what I did: instead of going straight to my inventory, I went to the main menu and THEN inventory. It let me place him when I did that.

I don’t really have a WTD other than on launch dates for new events, a lil sector of people post screaming opinions and rants before searching for the info that you guys give us makes THEM scream WTD!, If they take a lil time to read the WHOLE post, they will find the answers they need. You guys are amazing! I would if I could give you 5000 clams but as that’s not possible, I’ll just say a massive THANKS! Long time follower, my only other WTD is this – get on Twitch, stream some gameplay! let the love and awesomeness be LIVE?!? A lil suggestion right there! ~Neopod x
