What The Deuce?!

Happy Weekend Clammers!

Well we’ve all made it through another week and the weekend is here!

All week we field your comments about your frustrations in the game and we wanted to give you (and us) a fun way for you to voice your frustrations and get it all off of your chest.

So welcome to WHAT THE DEUCE?!

What the Deuce

Here’s your place to vent about anything and everything, Family Guy or not. Consider this your weekly bitch fest and get it all out with a good…WHAT THE DEUCE?! And start your weekend fresh! 🙂

REMEMBER: This is the ONLY place all that Venting and Frustration is allowed, so please Respect the Addicts Guidelines and post them ONLY here. They are always open, so you can use them at anytime. 24/7, 365 days a year. Help us by keeping the Vents/Rants off all the other helpful posts. 🙂

Just be respectful of others & be mindful of the language while commenting.

Here’s mine for this week:

WHAT THE DEUCE… I want more lil Decoration. I’m seeing a ton of really cool things I want in my game. Trees, bushes, sidewalks, dirt, fences… PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me more PERMANENT Decorations from this event!!

WHAT THE DEUCE… Someone had to go on a drunk driving rampage and knock out Internet for a lot of businesses and homes. Come on people. If you’re gonna drink, at least act like an adult and take a cab. NOTHING is worth driving under influence. Nothing at all. Risking your life and all those innocent bystanders is just… well… stupid.

Now it’s YOUR turn…give us your WHAT THE DEUCE?! moments from the past week!  Go on, get it off your chest…you’ll feel a lot better! 🙂

  1. Today I can’t make any progress. All my characters are werewolves and every time I can unlock one they get locked again

This event is ridiculous in so far as the number of overlapping tasks for characters.

With previous events it was exciting to try and play the game and see what you might work on next or have a go at. Now it’s just a shambles and no way to make any real progress.

I think this week should be written off and an extra week of time added to all the timed tasks that kicked off last Thursday with some adjustments made to make it playable.

  2. Spent clams on Michael Myers for the guaranteed silver drop, only to find you need Tom Tucker, who I’m at least two zones away from getting.

No warning in the write-up, just says always drops silver ball.

    • OI!!! Don’t take out crap on the Addicts. For someone like me who provides this to you FREE!! It is not up to me to give you every solitary bit of info. Especially when it is MY Clams being used to get that info for you. It WAS noted later many times in many comments. Be respectful to those that run this site on OUR own time and OUR own dime. If you would like to spend 10K Clams to pull all the stats from a Phase drop, write up all the posts, get them ALL detailed and perfect the moment it drops… feel free to do so. Just sayin.

Appreciate this site for what it is. A FAN RAN SITE!!

  3. I’ve played this game for a long time and I’ve never been more pissed off after going to phase 2 for this event. Talk about a complete dumpster fire. It’s blatantly obvious the F***ed up big time with the werewolves as there is not enough cannon balls to free up all those characters. Now it makes working on anything else (Death, Patty, etc) impossible and it seems that just about everyone is stuck in this situation. What’s impossible to understand is that there has not been a fix put into place yet. It’s easy, make more task for cannonballs, lower the time to do the tasks and don’t allow so many to change into warewolves. Every second there is not a fix means the chances of getting Patty in time decreases if there is any chance left. Another more frustrating thing are the bats. I’ve never had to resort of the dumb tricks of taking away all your roads to bomb or shoot groups. Well because of how absolutely terrible this phase was incorporated I conceded and took away all my roads to try to pen up bats to get sodas. So the vampires stay on the roads but the bats don’t, WTD. On top of that they don’t always drop something and on top of that can only rely on Jerome or buildings for garlic because of warewolves. And now I can’t earn any water allows because either everyone is a warewolves or working on cannonballs. Seriously, WTD and WTF

  4. I’m agreeing with everyone. It’s a shame that a tiny amount of people have the time and funds to throw vast sums of money at these quests which in turn justifies the ridiculous quest lines. Don’t want to delete the game but getting to the time where there is almost no point in trying. Does anyone at tinyco read the fan sites?

  5. There is a difference between fun, frustrating and challenging. I will say that I quit during the Star Trek event and recently came back. I wish family guy was a freemium game. It seems as though these days if you want to achieve a task you have to buy clams. I may as well go back to that other game which I also recently took a break from. It is too bad that I need to make a decision like this just to play a game.

  7. I think this event has the most potential of any other one
And it can be executed so well and it unfortunately was not, the werewolves and transactions for film reels being this biggest problems, had these two things not been as bad as they are I think this event would be soooooo much more fun.

    Ps. Giving up on patty
Too bad there’s no way I’m getting done by the end of the week

  8. I was thinking what they can do to make the event more fair. The main one would be to have people be werewolves for a limited time. I mean, movie werewolves are only that at certain times, so having people be them permanently is kind of silly. Next is to increase the soda and sticker gains from batswarms. Most of the time they don’t even drop anything. I managed to nail 8 swarms at once earlier today, and got one bloody sticker. That doesn’t seem fair at all, considering how hard it is to get garlic. Another thing is to either increase the amount of garlic and silver balls you get with each action or reduce the time each of them take. Oh and remove the time limit on Patty. I mean the game already has a time limit on getting stuff by it being an event for limited time.

Those would vastly improve the fairness of the event. it won’t make things super easy and there will still be advantages to whaling but at least it will give people a chance.

The sad thing is the theme of the event is fantastic, and its first act was a lot of fun. At least i’m only 6 scythes and 3 sandals away from Death.

  9. Too many werewolves! All my characters are werewolves! Towns full of bats, and nuns, and draculas! This is frustrating me to no end, the werewolves have to go..with all the characters prowling around as werewolves and Lois being chased there is no way to get the items needed to complete the tasks. This started out fun but is now annoying me. I would like to see realistic times to complete tasks because now it’s beyond completing, even if I don’t sleep and keep playing BECAUSE EVERYONE ARE WEREWOLVES! That is all.

    • I totally agree. Didn’t see the 24hr slasher cat warning. Didn’t even get half the reels needed. Now i’m 3 days into Patty with absolutely no chance of getting her since all my characters are werewolves. Plus need to send slasher bait lois on a job 3 times when i still need a billion reels to get the items before her.

I never see lois being chased til Peter is already sent on a SIX HOUR task to get one silver ball.

I took all my other characters out of storage that can be werewolves hoping to share the love, but instead they are transformed. Every time i get more that 4 bats, the game crashes and i have to try again (or it lags too much and they all fly away before it shoots).

The event only works for those who can play twice an hour!

    • Yeah, here’s another “too many werewolves”. I’m now stressing because there has been one obstacle after another to getting those ridiculous “extra rare” scythes. First I had conflicts-of-interest where everyone also needed to do something else, then Lois is constantly being chased by slasher cat, and now I figured I would just have everyone trying to make up lost time and farm around the clock for the scythes. Nope!!!!! They’re all werewolves, and I’m not even sure anyone who gathers the silver bullets isn’t a werewolf too. All I really want is Death, and that’s turning out to be really dicey.

      • EDIT: Wasn’t serious about people gathering silver cannonballs also probably being werewolves…. I know they’re not on the “turn into a wolf” list.

I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I will not be able to finish these quests, which sucks because I’ve been playing this game for over a year now and have for the most part been able to finish other quests. I will keep plugging along waiting until the streets clear, pull the stake out of my heart and tackle the next quest maybe next month lol

  10. I’d also like to add to the list of complaints that buying the buildings to help with popcorn and soda is pointless because as soon as you level up they stick a knife in your back and increase the costs. This event is purely pay to win so for all you free players i feel really bad since someone who buys clams for events cant even make decent headway without blowing them. If this event gets worse i’ll take a bullet and delete it even though i bought clams for this event…. just not worth it anymore

  12. This event is a huge fuster cluck. I was actually really digging it, visiting my game every few hours to keep on top of things and was doing good…so I thought. That is until I realize I have a whole bunch of garlic and no way to shoot all these flocks of bats fluttering around. Suddenly I’m in a scramble to find out what I missed or what kind of issue the game has that is not working. Maybe I missed something. Maybe I could have learned something from reading a post. But you know what? If I have to constantly keep up with the ins and outs of how to do things in this game; if they have decided to make this so complicated that I need to rely on a site like this (you guys are awesome by the way) and scour through hundreds of comments and multiple posts to find out what little nuance I missed….then this game is a failure. Players shouldn’t need to commit the time to search for answers. These things should be obvious and spelled out clearly. Obviously I am not the only one having issues because you guys have been overwhelmed with many comments like mine from other gamers asking who, what, when, where and why? This is a joke. I’m officially done with this game. I’m devoting my time and efforts and money to TSTO, where things are much more clear and the experience is much more rewarding. See you later, TinyCo. You won’t be missed. I have many expletives I would love to share, but I’ll take the high road and just leave quietly.

    Thanks for listening.

  13. Well, as one to always give the devil his due (and I am certain Tinyco is now being run by the Canadian Devil, Beezlbokt), it is possible to find Quagmire, Bonnie, and Mort.
If you tap on Death, then the schthe then with Bonnie or quagmire’s action buttons it will zero in on either of them. Same if you tap on Mort’s action button under the water ballons in the movie prop shack. Once you free them you need to follow them to their home and clear then immediatly.
I watched a video while I was waiting and the char was already turned back to a werewolf. Same with lois getting chased with by slasher cat.

If I don’t unlock Death due to this missegoss, I will uninstalling the game.

  14. WTD! Hunting bats is like swatting gnats….

I’m practicing just following the little buggers around with the sight for my usually empty garlic launcher. Too bad garlic is so scarce, since sometimes a few converge in the wild… I’m not fast enough to catch three of them right after tapping a vampire. The zoom keeps shifting suddenly with the sight.

  16. I hope somebody is enjoying this event, because it sure isn’t me. I got into this game about a year ago, and was challenged by the complexity of the interlaced challenges during the events. Some timed events were out of reach, but I enjoyed the game, even occasionally buying some clams, especially when it was linked to a special promotion.

Then the Death at the Drive In. Started out with multiple layers, but when the second movie hit, everything went downhill. Popcorn effectively no value, characters tied up as werewolves so you can’t use them, unreasonable challenges (there’s no way I’m going to get Patty).

I don’t know if it’s worth playing any more. I guess I’ve lost the money invested in clams but not spent yet. I hope Tiny Co is happy with their game; this player isn’t.

Thank you for for setting up this venue for us to vent.

    • Bill,

this the same issue I have. I have a total of 11 possible characters that can be werewolves. They all are werewolves. I clear 3 and before I can earn any more garic cannonballs all 3 are werewolves again.

So no progress is being made on anything. If I want popcorn, they are all werewolves. If I want to try and earn a sickle, they are all werewolves. Plus no way to try and cure one of the characters that actual give you something. It always seems to be someone that just gives coins.

Then the bats go everywhere so trying o find a way to earn more than one soda is almost impossible. Ok when I tap all the vampires I get a bunch but after that???? I bet there is close to 50 bat flocks running about my town.

      • Use FaceSpace to go straight to the useful character if needed, just as you can do when they’re furless (go to their page and hit the x in the upper right hand corner). Check the frame around the screen when you tap on the character- it will confirm the name in the upper left hand corner. You can also just tap on the werewolves to check their name this way (tap on them again to get rid of the frame and keep looking). But if the one I want doesn’t come up after a few taps, I use the FaceSpace trick.

No chance for patty as after 3+ days of playing I have earned 3 of the week 2 prizes. Of course I need Losi to get Patty and she is prize number 7.

Death At The Drive- In Phase 2 LIVE!! UPDATED

A Questline will trigger by a ! over Peter AFTER Death at the Drive-in the Sequel Part 4, you just tap on them and you will see the same screen like the Unholy Nuns along with WHO it is that is turned in the top Left Corner. You can put a Silver Cannon down at this time and wait til Werewolf is ready to be attacked. Remember PURPLE IS GOOD. Tap on the Check Mark when the Werewolf is going INTO the Kill Zone Circle and turns PURPLE.

      • Supposedly if you tap on a flock of bats, they may stop very briefly and change direction so you can here them together. I’m not too successful with that myself, I’m not fast enough shifting to the other tasks. Somebody with faster reflexes and better hand-to-eye coordination might find it a lot easier. But you can follow a flock around and wait until it intersects one or two more. You can practice with just moving the sight around even if your launcher is unloaded, and practice hitting the launch button by hitting the “buy garlic” button (which takes you to the shop).

On the bright side, I’ve become a whiz at melting nuns and so am drowning in popcorn…. My real problem is lack of garlic ammunition to get my bat poofing skills up to speed.

      • Don’t change the warewolves until it is time to collect from their task. Find another character that doesn’t change and use them to keep track of time so you know when to release the others that are collecting for that same amount of time. The characters are still collecting, you just need to keep track of who is collecting what for how long. Pay attention to who you shoot, don’t bother with the characters who aren’t useful for whatever you are trying to accomplish.

For the vampires, dont tap them until they are grouped together and you are ready to fire garlic. Wait until several of your 50 groups of bats are nearby. With planning, you can easily get 5-9 bats at once. One time I got so many the game didn’t have any comments afterwards, it just gave me a bunch of stuff.

      Like

      • Not exactly true… I throw money at the game, but this event has become a breaking point in that habit (and the last few events have been very stressful and not fun as well). I still don’t have the first page of the booth done because I won’t do the last two until I have 120 movie reels to unlock both. The problem there is it’s near impossible to get the 120 movie reels (at 79 now) when you’re in week 2 at level 8 and everyone is a werewolf and the bats pay out horribly. I can’t even start to work on the week 2 stuff yet because of that. The ramp-up on costs is extreme and frustrating. The time-limited features of this event are abusive based on the ridiculous costs. The ability to get things done just doesn’t work since there is too much overlap on what you have to do to get things done. This is the only phone game I play currently, but that may change before Halloween (my favorite holiday) even gets here.

        Like

    • This is my massive problem right now too. While it’s an interesting mechanic, it’s insanely infuriating to have a person go on a 4 hour task, get turned into a werewolf (every one that can be a WW in my game is currently one as well), and then I’ve got to wait until Chris, Herbert, or Peter finish their 6 hour task to get a cannonball to wait 45 minutes to TRY to get the right werewolf ‘cured’ (how many times I’ve hit Jake Tucker or Consuela I have no clue).

And then after they’re finally allowed to complete the task they were sent out on almost 7 hours ago, they become one once again almost immediately afterwards. They really need to either limit the total amount of wolves that are allowed at any one point to a sane number, or make it so they can’t become wolves while they’re on a task. And if neither of those, drastically decrease the times needed for tasks that grant cannonballs (and possibly make another freemium character drop them too).

Also, Slasher Cat. I didn’t get the character, so I don’t know if this is a constant through everyone’s games, but that freak keeps chasing Lois. And I frequently forget to actually go to her to have Peter clear her since there’s not a task for it in his list when she’s in peril. Twelve hours today she’s been chased by that nutjob because of this.

  17. Phase 2 what a complete waste. im still trying to get the last 2 prizes for week 1 to start the ones from week 2 but its utterly impissible to get anywhere cant use solely popcorn to get reels i have to combined them with cola now which take foever to collect. Takes almost 8hrs to get 3. I waste garlics on flocks of bats that payout nothing. Mostly all my characters are wearwolfs in which i need to collect garic, holy water or items for characters or 3d glasses to purchase items to up my scream level ive been playing for 3days n have not moved even an inch. Its becoming boring, tidious n annoying n knowing tiny co. Its just gonna get harder in the weeks to come its making me feel like only unlocking death and then stoping this event all together

  18. This is too hard.

Lois keeps turning being chased by slasher cat while Peter is on a six hour task and is the only person that can release her.

Too many werewolves – all my main characters are tied up as werewolves so I’m stuck.
Why can’t they turn into werewolves for say 2 hours and then the character revert back to their task?

    Like

    • Lois does revert to their task as soon as Peter saves her …. Same as for the werewolves. Her task timer keeps going while Lois is getting her exercise running from the Cat. I try to put Peter on a task taking the same time as Lois’s task, so once Peter is done then I send him to save her, get the 15 popcorns, Lois immediately finishes her task, and then both are ready to be set on a new task again. Alternatively, you can let Lois or Peter just hang around taskless. That worked in phase 1 because Peter could earn more balloons that way than on a balloon task. But in phase 2, I need him for silver cannonballs.

Every character I need to collect things other then the 3 I have that can get Canons are taken over by the wolves and any attempt to clear those characters just results in them being immediately taken over again.

Making us this insane is not going to get us to spend money on the game. It’s just going to frustrate us so much that we won’t play as much or stop playing entirely. At least on the rock concert event you could choose which prize to focus on, but this one makes you get everything to unlock the next even when you don’t really want it. And to trap the characters we need to get anything accomplished – that’s just completely moronic.

I’m just sad that the game has become boring and stupid. 😦

I upgrade to week two….nothing to warn me (and I shouldn’t need to scan the Internet for warnings, which Tiny should make clear) …in the space of a few clicks, my popcorn is virtually useless, I am on a timer for a character which I have NO chance of getting…I haven’t yet got the cat, yet need to get reels go buy several buildings and then get slasher Lois….oh, and I can’t get reels now without soda, which seems as rare a hens teeth..by killing werewolves with silver bullets which take a day to produce 6 and shooting bats which require garlic which Is just as difficult. Where Is The fun? Maybe if everyone stopped paying for clams they might rethink their strategy…..

As soon as I turn them back they go right back to being a werewolf. As a result I’ve not gotten Any soda at all today except for the single soda from an occasional bat hit, from garlic I can only get from the park and police station. Yesterday at this time was sitting with 22 reels for the catacombs and today still sitting at the zero I started with when I woke up 10 hours ago. Useless to even try at this point because I’m behind and it’s only going to continue getting worse. Thanks much to the addicts for a great site and always giving us a place to vent! Honestly, I think it’s me. I put too much pressure on myself to get everything and when I don’t it’s too disappointing. Right now I’ve got Slasher Cat and Meg’s friend that are timed and that I probably won’t get, and I’m trying to be okay with that. Otherwise I’m going to spend way too much on clams and I need to stop doing that?

Can we start a support group for that? Clam Addicts Anonymous or something? Support each other in not giving into the temptation to spend money on a game for fun?

    • It’s not even like you can buy anything with clams to help solve any problems. The Silver Forge only gets you 1 ball every 8 hours.
That’s a whopping 2 balls during waking hours. With a constant 8 – 12 werewolves, buying the Silver Forge would be like packing 1 bottle of water to cross the Sahara Desert.

Good luck getting Death. I’m having a lot of trouble because all the characters that collect scythes are werewolves or being chased by Scaredy Cat.

All play has come to a grinding halt. This was going okay with the nuns, but having vamps & wolves hit about 1 hour apart (for me) was just insane. After about 8 months of playing FGQFS this is the first time I really see what others have complained about with past events. Combine this with timed mini quests and you are totally screwed. I can’t even see a way out. And there could be more to come? Slow the event down! Too much to accomplish and no tools to do it. Thoughts? What the deuce?

Past events are nothing compared to this one. I understand that TinyCo makes some tasks harder than others to make people spend clams – after all, they’re a company that tries to make money. But with this event, they just didn’t check in advance which actions will interfere with each other and how hard it would be to unlock the different characters.

I agree, the best thing to do is slow the event down and clean up this mess before the next phase starts.

    • There is a very easy was tonget through the event:
Take out your credit card and buy frak-tons of clams.
This event is pretty clearly aimed at getting rid of as manh of us dirty freeloaders as possible.

      And its probabaly gonna work.
I just recently deleted Fallout Shelter and it was liberating. after all the crap this event has been pushing kinda started looking forward to the day when I finally snap and delete this app too…

  33. Too much happening, very nearly bought 3600 clams but then had a think and thought no why should I. After seeing these comments I made the right decision. Most of the tasks are impossible to complete so I’ll give it a break till this event finishes.

  34. I’ve been reading everyone’s comments and I am in the same boat as you all! I started the 3 day timed challenge yesterday to get it out if the way, as i figured things would be getting more and more hectic…andddd I have 7 more wolfs to go and 100 more bats…with 2 days left. I stocked up beforehand too.

Still no death in the game because just too many materials need to be collected with not enough characters to do so. I really regret putting so much hope into this event.

I used some clams to get the shop that gives garlic every 4 hours. Maybe I should’ve saved it.

Have any of you progressed into stage 2 with the new items for reels? I wish tinyco would’ve forced people to stay in stage 1 if they didn’t complete it yet. Blaaaa.

Side note. I have a midterm tomorrow on a bunch of plants and a quiz as well. This game is truly taking away from my life lol.

  35. I’ve just about had enough werewolves… having lois chased by slasher cat was mildly vexing but I suppose TinyCo thought that wasn’t annoying enough… here… try and unlock timed characters, regular characters and earn enough event currency with out half your characters…. I understand using characters everyone can get to appeal to those who have maybe just started… but this is ridiculous… it’s one extreme to the next! First there are 1 or 2 werewolves, but that wasn’t enough here…. have 12! And once they are released… oops nevermind, that character is a werewolf again ha! Wait 6 more hours to do nothing with that character.

I’ll unlock Death and shut this down till after Halloween… this is too much! Many of us are casual players… oh well… next event maybe

    • Don’t bother fixing a useful werewolve until his or her original task is finished. I just set an alarm to remind me when Quagmire is supposed to be done with his garlic task and won’t shoot him until he’s done. Otherwise I would be wasting cannonballs clearing him repeatedly during his task (his task timer doesn’t stop, so after I shoot him he will get a finished check and I can immediately put him back collecting garlic before he turns furry again).

Wtd. …12 of my characters are werewolves! Exactly how do I collect silver to make bows to kill werewolves. ..I had to buy the blacksmiths just to get 1..I’m stuck in an ever tightening loop…going on the game is depressing, worst event ever.

A sad event when there is not way to even try to earn an item.

The only good thing is the videoswhich give you a clam. Nice thing but frankly not enough of an offset.

  37. WTD Tiny Co.
I now have NINE werewolves running around and only 3 characters able to make cannonballs.
I can’t get popcorn, because the characters that make water balloons are all werewolves.
I cleared Quagmire and as I was deciding which task to give him, his screen closed and he turned into a werewolf.
YES – WITHIN 10 SECONDS OF KILLING HIM, (and looking at his task screen) HE TURNED BACK INTO A WEREWOLF!!!!!

Worse yet, I can’t even quit this stupid event and focus on the Brewery tasks because all my characters are werewolves.
    WHAT A JOKE!!!!

  38. I have been terribly frustrated with the way TinyCo is running events. It has always been a bit of a problem with Balancing, all the way back to the King Butt event, but it honestly seems to have gotten way worse. I remember feeling super upset during the last event that I couldn’t get tickets fast enough to do anything, because I didn’t buy the Ticket Kiosk, but it wasn’t too bad, I still got a lot of neat things and overall enjoyed the event. This time around, I was working hard at it (like I always do) getting movie reels and unlocking the buildings in the projection booth, which were all parts of quests even so I figured I was going the right direction, but then I got to Slasher Cat as a character and was hit with not only a 100 film reel cost, but a 24 hour time limit! I thought maybe the ‘Unlock Death’ 24 quick quest was a glitch, since he required time drops from buildings that came after he was placed, but I really just think TinyCo has the concept we can all just pay for the content out of pocket if we want it. Now I am trying to clear bats, so I can get popcorn, but also get stickers because of another timed character quest all the while trying to turn my characters back from werewolves, I have tons of unholy nuns running around because 60 popcorn is only worth 2 film reals now (if you couple them with 25 popcorns of course, that seems fair). I love Halloween, it is my favorite holiday. In fact, I started playing The Simpsons: Tapped Out because of the Tree House of Horror promo years ago. I like collecting things and working towards goals, which Family Guy can be great for, but here lately, especially with events, it seems they were either not tested at all or tested with the idea each player will be buying the Premium buildings to get items. And I do know they want to make money, and I have supported this game, usually spending $20 worth of clams during each event, but this event is actually making me reconsider playing this game altogether. I feel bad because I have spent a bit of money and a LOT of time over the past couple years (is it really that old now?), but I find myself just feeling bad while playing and feeling more and more ripped off for the money I have spent in the past. I was super excited for this event, now I am just disappointingly frustrated. I don’t think I will invest any more in it at this point, at least financially. I might still try to get some of the decorations (that I don’t have space for) or buildings (for more gold I absolutely do not need), but I might just step away altogether because games are supposed to be fun, not depressing.

I’ve just written a pretty long post saying virtually the same thing. If only I had seen this (scanned a lot of the comments and missed this one originally), I would have just copied and pasted yours instead!

  39. I guess I’m out of the game. Everyone’s a tied up being a werewolf, I have no cannons and can’t get any in any way that I can see. Dropped $40 on this event and it’s turned into a total complete fiasco.

  40. WTD I’m supposed to collect scythes for death but Lois is being chased by slasher while Bonnie and Quagmire are turned into werewolves and you can’t tell who is who. How am I supposed to collect this item when my characters are trapped in these crappie situations

  41. Honestly at this point all I want from this event is Death and even that seems impossible, can’t seem to collect anything because Joe, Mort, Bonnie and Quagmire are stuck as Werewolves seemingly forever, even when I clear one they’re instantly taken over again and Lois is forever being chased by the Slasher Cat so I’m stuck with her 4 hour task taking the 6 hours Peter is on his.

  43. Wtd! Most of my characters are stuck being werewolves and it is simply IMPOSSIBLE to get enough canon balls when they take 6 (!) hours to get. This is sooo annoying…. I mean, I literally can’t play! Not only Lois always gets chased by the cat and has to wait for Peter to get free again, now almost everybody is hindered from getting something because of this werewolve thing. It is cool, now werewolves drop at least a good amound of sodas, but they are blocking EVERYTHING!!!!! It is impossible to get enough canon balls to free them. My whole town is full of this crap. If at least every werewolf in the circle zone would be turned back again…

Also it is impossible to free the trunk girl on time since I am not able to collect enough sodas for reels e.g. Most annoying event ever for me….

I play almost every hour, sometimes even in the night every 4 hours or so. But still I am stuck trying to unlock death. I got THE HALF of the senses and still need to get sandals and 2 souls. Well…. senses…. won’t happen anyways since everybody is a wolf… WTD!
    I am really mad…

  44. I shelled out 200-250 clams for the Comic Con Gange, the last Halloween characters. I finally caught up to the money-grabbing scheme that is Tiny Co and stopped participating in events after the Star Trek debacle, where I couldn’t advance even though I spent clams again.

The only reason I participate in this event is to get death. At 1,300 clams he was a steal. NOT! I had to wait to gather enough material to bring down his price to 700 clams so I can buy him with my left over clams. Then it’s adios Tiny Co. I’ll keep periodically checking in to finish the district because I put in so much money but I really wish players could opt out of this event frenzy.

Instead of planning events back to back, perhaps they should focus on designing events that are actually feasible for players. Right now, you can’t finish even if you spend clams – unless you don’t sleep for four weeks and check your game every five minutes. And even then, Tiny Co might interfere and deduct or add points to change your status, so you entire planning goes awry.

Screw you, Tiny Co. You should read up on the rise and fall of the Roman Empire because you’re on the best way to fall victim to your own hubris. You’re only designing events for new players, you mistreat loyal customers. Newsflash: At some point you’ve run out of new clientele to tap into and then your entire business plan will fail. Hope more people realize to stop giving you their money so you can’t get rich fast at our cost.

Oh and I wish I would stop reading on this page that we should stop panicking. We’re allowed to panic when we’re behind because Tiny Co does everything in their power to make sure you cannot catch up by changing the rules, making the new levels even harder to advance. And the best part: when you get stuck because you’ve fallen so far behind you can’t complete quests and tasks as it happened to me once, you get no reply from customer support until long after the event ended. Keep your apology clams, Tiny Co and do your ***** work so you won’t have to apologize so much.

  46. WTD!!!! I killed three flocks of bats at once and got ONE soda for it!?!? That has to be some kind of cruel joke. Out of the 12 garlic bombs I had, I hit about 15 flocks of bats in total and got 6 sodas out of it. Well goodbye, Slasher Cat because there is no way I’ll ever get enough sodas to unlock you. I only have 59 reels and 60 popcorn and 6 sodas. I haven’t even gotten the pumpkin tower yet. I think I’m just going to focus on Death and quit after I get him because this is ridiculous.

  48. The mistakes TINYCO is making are too many things in too short a time. If they would create an event, like what we had, give the user 2 or 3 weeks to complete level 1…then maybe 2 or 3 weeks to do level 2 then that’s it, it would be fun.

Personally, I have done nothing as far as week 2 or phase 2 whatever it is. I am working on unlocking Death and once he’s done I’ll wait for another charcter if they are available. Already started the timer on Patty cause I didn’t know…I mean I guess they could warn you it’s timed, but that’s ok. She’ll be useless in a few weeks anyway. The Lois costume is not even going to be close to getting done as I have 4 reels, 50 popcorns and like 40 sodas…I need a lot more just to get the first decoration on page 2 and I don’t believe i’ll come close to unlocking Lois’s outfit. I guess it would be easier if Lois wasn’t being chased by a Lion and several of my characters are turning into Wolves, who I might add, I can’t collect stuff from then that I need cause you know..well more on that later.

Problem is you need X amount of items to unlock death, but now half my characters that unlock death’s items are werewolves and so now I must wait 6 hours and 45 minutes to get a cannonball and create a cannon to show werewolves. Although for some damn reason when I shot my cannon it cleared the werewolf who was Weird Al…I guess it’s my bad to have my characters on my screen leveling up when they don’t really help the event.

Also why must Peter have options to collect items, but he needs to be available to help Lois but he must be on questlines. Too many things for 1 person.

IT should be designed where maybe certain characters give you items, other characters used for other items, other characters for questlines. Yeah, you can have 1 character that might do 2 things, maybe 3 but allow usage of the other 80 characters I have.

If Jake can collect something and someone does not have Jake, then that’s too bad for them. If the members or Kiss collect items and I don’t have those guys, then it’s too bad for me. USE more than 10-12 characters. Use 40-50 of them…would make the events easier and more fun.

Oh well, I must admit that it took my 1 1/2 years but I finally can say I like Tapped Out more than Family Guy. I play it more, check it more, enjoy it more…just all around more fun.

  50. I really wish they would model some of this game to be more like Simpsons Tapped Out. I can’t even count how many premium items I have for this game and they are of no use. Why have people spend clams on items and people when they are only useful one time. I have a gazillion costumes. What are those for? Every item requires the same old people. Why not give some advantage to those that have either been playing for a long time or spent money on the game. if you don’t start rewarding long time players you are going to lose players. For the Simpsons Halloween event I can use everyone of the kid characters to earn rewards. Why limit it to the common characters?
