TinyCo has dropped another awesome Event into our Quahogs. This time we are gonna go back to those “Scary Movies” of the past. The ones that send chills up your spine. Make those lil hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Make your heart start beating a lil faster. hack hack hack hack chop chop chop chop kill kill kill kill….
With this New Scary Movie Scene Event, comes many New Questlines. Questlines that involve New Characters added during the Event. Characters like Death.
Let’s take a look at Death At The Door & Death Wish Come True and all you will encounter along the way.

I am not getting any Scythes! I’ve had Peter clear every slasher cat, Lois and Bonnie going non stop to earn them and I’ve only gotten 3 in over a week! This is getting a bit ridiculous! Is there any suggestions on how to get them?

Quick question… did anyone else have issues with the pumpkin tower? I have had it for 3 or 4 days now and haven’t got one brimstone… I am just wondering if I am doing something wrong. Thanks!!

Anyone else having issues getting scythes? I’ve been working on Death for 4 days and have had Lois teaching piano non stop and have 0 so far! There’s rare and then there’s ridiculous. I have Bonnie working on balloons and don’t have Slasher Cat yet but come on. 1 in 4 days would be nice! Thoughts?

Wow!?!?! Guys, gals, if I had the cash, I would spend a little on this game. I don’t. I’m thankful for free(if you wanna call free) wifi I get as part of the high rent i pay to have a roof over my head. A lot of people seem to be complaining because They spent Their cash. This ain’t Walmart. If everyone stopped spending money on this, I would hope the creators would keep it up for the love of it but I understand the world doesn’t run off love and there are bills to be paid. That being said, to the complainers, why don’t you try doing these quests as a freemium and see how hard it is, I watch videos for the free clams so maybe in that way I too “help out” but that’s not for me to say. Have fun with this while you can, tomorrow isn’t guaranteed! And by the way way, I got deaths moms house, finished slasher baits actions got 2 scythes, got 2 whatever’s from slasher cats cave, got 1 sandals or whatever that thing is, waiting to get quagmires house skin so I can move on to the pumpkin tower because it would be Really Cool if I could unlock death in my game!!! Onward My Fellow Family Guy Addicts Soldiers!!!!’ Onward I say!!!!! 🙂 😉 and all that positive jazz!!

Does Death have to be unlocked before the event ends? I’m assuming so. I’m trying to decide if I should put my characters creating balloons or creating items to unlock Death when they can do both.. thanks!

Am I the only one that thinks Death’s sandals resemble little dukes? TinyCo should have designed them better.

To the Mods/administrators here, you may want to make this a note to be aware of.
BE WARNED, IF YOU CREATE DEATH’S MOM’S HOUSE AND WHEN YOU HAVE THE OPTION TO PLACE IT, YOU INSTEAD PUT IT TO STORAGE, IT WILL BE STUCK THERE AND YOU CAN’T TAKE IT OUT OF STORAGE.
Now this is literally a bug since the game registers it as still in the Drive-In, even if you were able to buy it. Until they fix this issue, you won’t be able to start on creating Death (it’s actually possible that they never fix this and you get screwed out of your chance to even make Death). No, restarting the phone doesn’t fix it, and deleting the app and re-installing it could possibly cause problems.

Additional note: To be sure that this doesn’t happen, make sure you have room beforehand to place the building itself so you don’t have to put it in storage, in order to move and remove some buildings/decorations around.

I know I dont have to do it, I am am adult and don’t have to do anything but what I question is the fact that it is almost impossible to do without spending clams, this seems to be more and more a side to the game that is unfair on us that buy clams as I do…. And even worse for those that don’t .

It is called a Clam Bonus. Nothing more. As those that pay into the game keep it going for those that play free, to offer a Player something for an item they may just outright purchase anyway is just that…a Bonus. And honestly anyone that is going to spend THAT many Clams paid into keeping the game going for everyone else… they deserve a Bonus.
Without Premium purchases, the game will cease to exist and you won’t have anything to play or do.

I’m only in district 6 and therefore don’t have Stewie unlocked. I see that Stewie is part of the “Death Wish Come True” questline. Will I be unable to complete this questline, or will I complete it by part 4 instead? Missing out on 3 scream points and 2 3d glasses isn’t a big deal, I’m just curious how the game handles situations like this.
During PeterPalooza, I was able to unlock the Cop Joe outfit early because he was needed for a questline. Do you think I will get access to Stewie because of the Halloween event?

It usually just stops. Many of these “side quests” triggered by unlocking a Character will continue after the event. So you may be able to complete it later. 🙂

How corrupt is this game becoming now, when I opened up the ‘timed’ death (which you can’t do without opening up other timed actions’) I discovered you have to use Peter on two actions but are forced to use clams on….. Peter brutally murdered x3 on an 8hr action on a 24 hr timed challenge but he is needed elsewhere also… Well hello! 3×8 is 24, explain how to do both without spending clams please.

It has nothing to do with “corrupt”. It is a Bonus Offer. Just the same as “Buy 9.99 or More of Clams to get xxx”. Since when is a Bonus Offer that is optional corrupt? It is an OPTION. You do not have to do it.
If you go to the link this post sends you to for that Timed Challenge, you will see that the Bonus Task IS a Clam Purchase. There is no way to avoid it. If you do not care for spending Clams… skip it. Earn him at your own pace instead. 🙂

I’m sorry but asking people to pay 50+ euros to unlock 1 extra task is a new low for TinyCo. I know its optional but after all the complaining people have done about how much of a cash grab recent events have been this seems quite a weird step. Cant wait for them to add tasks to old haloween characters…. For 3000clams.
I like the event so far, nice slow start as usual. But I’m worried this task is a sign of things to come… 1500clams for a task? A task that isnt even as good as the others (3 hours longer). Thats just daylight robbery imo. I would love to see a poll of how many people have bought it and what their opinion on it is.

You can think that, but understand it is only optional. Just like “Buy Clams to get 100 Vials” or w/e the current game currency is. It is not a forced issue, just optional. There are premium players that will spend ANY amount to unlock items regardless of cost. So if someone really wants to spend that, it is a Bonus for them. And rightfully so. If someone forks out THAT many Clams to gain an item, don’t you think they should get something special in return?

I understand it’s optional, I just find it weird that after all the complaints in the past few events about how the game(/events) are becoming a complete cash grab, they bring out probably the worst promotional offer (considering the price) I have seen in Tapped out or Quest for Stuff in the FIRST week!
With the other promotions you pay 10euros and get 10euros worth of clams and the some nice goodies free. Here you’re paying over 50euros for 1 task and a character everyone else will get.
Normally you pay about 200-300 clams and get an exclusive character an exclusive quest and an extra task.
Now they are asking for 1500clams for basically less.
Can you imagine the uproar if they made deaths mom (for example) cost 1500 clams? And then the week after made her available to everyone?
Hopefully I explained that properly haha.
considering its optional and you can still unlock Death I’m fine with it. theres just a few things that worry me,
1) I’m assuming this means Death will have very little to do for players who dont buy him. Because if he has a lot to do premium players wont have time for the extra task and it will be even more of a rip off.
2) the fact they think this is a good deal… Why not give an exclusive building which drops Water Balloons every 8 hours? So you get something special, Death and the bonus. Then you can also avoid worry 1
3) that they keep doing this and giving a very small group of players an incentive rather than the buy clams and get some items. Which surely applies to a much larger group?
of course only time will tell and it could all be avoided (not sure how 1 will be avoided though. That seems like its either going to upset the premium players or the fremium players).
Still think it would be intresting to see how many people bought him, how many decided to buy him because of the task, how many dont care and how many think its a slap in the face (or would rather have the “buy clams” task)
Again, not angry or annoyed, just worried considering how hard the past 2 events became near then end.

You also realize that Events are planned MONTHS in advance? It does not matter what people have said recently. Many of that did not exist when this was being created. Know what I mean. Not to mention there is not just ONE style of Players. There are many. Lots Between Freemium to Extreme Premiums.
And you are also forgetting that EXTREME PREMIUM Players have been complaining for over a year now that they want their purchases to actually mean something. That is what this is. An Offer of “OK, if you really are just gonna buy him no matter what… here is a Bonus tossed in for spending that amount”. No, it is NOT the usual access for ALL Players. It is geared more towards those that ARE Spending a lot of Clams and deserve something in return for doing so. Who’s to say the other offers won’t come along? I am sure we will see the usual “Buy X Amount of Clams to get X” come along just as usual. This is in addition to all that.
Know that not everything will be for Everyone. They mix it up. If it is not for you, pass on it. Done. Nothing more to worry about or stress over. 😉
If you have further suggestions or requests on their “Offers” to all their different styles of Players… let them know your thoughts and suggestions. Message them in game.

I thought they were asking for their premium characters to be useful after their initial event rather an extra incentive. Though they seem to be getting better with that. Just for some reason it always seems to be in the last week or two of the event haha.
Either way, you’re right. It’s not for me and I think it looks like a rip off, but there will be people excited about it and happy with their purchase.
I still think it would have been better if they gave you a unique building or even 72hours so you could bring down the clam cost, but thats just me and I’m sure they probably thought about it and decided this was best.
Sorry if the other posts sounded whiny, I didn’t mean to, but reading them back (especially the first one) they look pretty whiny. I don’t want to rain on anyones parade, if they feel like it’s worth it and want it go for it. I’m sure we’ve all bought stuff we enjoyed whilst others thought it was a rip off. The important thing is that you enjoy them.
Now back to killing nuns!

No they’re not. Sure the idea may be conceptualized a few months in advance, but “planned”? No. There is nothing in any of these events that says anything is planned. Its a gongshow every single time. After months of operating this blog, you should know this.

You’re joking, right? You think they drew all this up… overnight? Yes it IS planned months in advance. The majority of it. Final tweaks may happen just as it goes live… but for the most part a LOT is done a long time before we see it.

I think the point is that the prizes arent that special for such steep clam prices. We should be rewarded for spending clams……..tooo often the cost is not worth tne reward, and that irritates people. Yes, it is optional………..it is always optional……..but a lot of the time , it is the only viable option. Clam spenders will always spend clams…… and folks who cant afford clams will always be at a severe disadvantage. Tis the nature of the beast. 🙂
