As you have all started to notice, changes are starting to happen for tonight… Scream Levels being the main one of focus. (Scream Points doubled and even tripled yesterday)
With the New Phase 4 in the midst for this evening, TinyCo is prepping for its launch. This included a recent change to the Scream Point Levels too.
Now before you all FLIP OUT!!! Keep in mind that there will be MORE options to still get Reels. The Concessions shows 5 Different ones. So you will NOT have to rely on just Popcorn. You will have more options come with the New Phases. So yes, items take more to Exchange, but that is because a new one is offered and you may not even need the other one so much after a while.
Reels are here to stay the ENTIRE Event. You got plenty of time and lots more chances coming to keep earning them. 🙂
NEW SCREAM LEVELS
Here are the new amounts for each Scream Point Level. I am still verifying these and will update them all with the correct amounts once I have confirmation.
Scream Point Level 2: 20 Scream Points
Scream Point Level 3: 200 Scream Points
Scream Point Level 4: 350 Scream Points
Scream Point Level 5: 500 Scream Points
Scream Point Level 6: 750 Scream Points
Scream Point Level 7: 1100 Scream Points
Scream Point Level 8: 1550 Scream Points
Scream Point Level 9: 2100 Scream Points
Scream Point Level 10: 2750 Scream Points
STUCK ISSUE
For the most part, many of you progressed up fine. For some reason some of us (me included) did not. Instead, the Bar is “stuck” at the amount we last had vs the amount that should trigger the Level up. You can see mine is MORE than required but stuck.
TinyCo is aware of this already and looking into it. In the meantime, if YOU are “stuck” please report it in game right away. I will let you know when I hear more on it.
WHAT ABOUT POPCORN?
Keep in mind there are 4 MORE options in Concessions for Reel Exchange coming, so Popcorn will not be the only thing. Reels are Game Currency and are here to stay. So no worries, plenty more options coming to get them and who knows… maybe ones you will find easier than the Unholy Nuns. 😉
POPCORN EXCHANGE
Like I noted since beginning of the Event, the exchange rates WILL Change. These are the stats I posted previously… let me know if you see a difference. I’m verifying with them too and will Update changes verified. The ARE correct. If you see different double check your Level and report it if the amount varies.
The Current Exchange Rate is as follows…
- Scream Level 1 & 2: 30
Popcorns for 5 
Movie Reels - Scream Level 3: 35 Popcorns for 5 Movie Reels
- Scream Level 4: 45 Popcorns for 5 Movie Reels
- Scream Level 5: 60 Popcorns for 5 Movie Reels
- Scream Level 6: 80 Popcorns for 5 Movie Reels
- Scream Level 20: 105 Popcorns for 5 Movie Reels
Now a few important things to note, the increase is ALSO triggered by Death in the Drive-In Part 6. So if you hit that point BEFORE you Level up to Scream Point Level 3, you will still see an increase to the 35.
HOLY WATER BALLOONS
Also, for those of you that have not noticed… all the Balloon Tasks are 4hrs now and Joe has been added to the Mix.

Seems to me on the whole slasher cat thing is to wait until phase 2 while collecting what you can today and finish up over the next day, being a day behind isn’t that bad and I’m trying to save up clams for Rupert, he’s the last premium character non event character to unlock.

Annnnd I quit lol. I’m done with the Halloween event. I put in about $80 so far for this event so I could keep up and maybe get some cool new characters. But now they have Michael Meyers for like 260 clams, and most other things cost clams. They give a week to get a girl out of a trunk but you need slasher bait Lois too to get her out…but slasher bait Lois costs 100 film reels. I give up, I’m not putting any more money or time into this.

Didn’t even notice phase 2 wasn’t live. I see that it says 2 next to it but I thought I needed to be level 4 and didn’t even click on it. Actually I am just spending my time unlocking death. I dont’ know what’s coming but I can honsetly say I am losing interest quickly in the Quest for Stuff.

Your opening screen and icon will vary. Most have the Halloween images, but sometimes depending on your country they may not allow it. So you might see the basic opening screen instead.
As long as you have the Event in your game, I wouldn’t worry about what the opening screen looks like. 😉

I wonder if tiny will extend the event or something because of the delay. On another note why is everyone freaking out v about slasher cat? It has been said on this site over and over he does not disappear with the new phase, just don’t set off the timer and keep collecting reels. Am I right?

Slasher Cat is unlockable for 24 hours after purchasing the prizes before him and viewing him at the Movie Projection Booth. He will be in the Movie Projection Booth until Thursday, November 5 at 3 PM, PDT.
If he is not completely unlocked before the timer runs out or Event (Whatever comes FIRST), he will disappear from the game at that time.

I agree with the whole slasher cat I already have all the scheths and just waiting on souls I suggested to tiny co to have already halloween costumed characters and Freddie, Jason, alien, and predator to get in the mid since it is a halloween theme I hope they incorporate them in somehow

I am again because you didn’t answer my question (that it’s sure of my lack of good english). So it goes again:
I am in Screem Level 5, but when I touch the screen in order to get Access to next level’s buildings, it says “you have to finish this level before. But I can’t! I can’t finish because now I only have 89 reels and need the Pumpkings Tower and the Slasher Cat (120 reels total). I make new reels costs 60 popcorns, and each time is more difficult for me, cause I can use another food for get reels. So here comes my answer again:
Should I get the Pumpking tower and risk with only 79 reels to get Slasher Cat? Or it is sure that after be in progress of Slasher Cat I will get new option of change reels?
PLEASE I NEED AN ANSWER NOW, BECAUSE I AM LOSING THE NEW WEEK STAGE!

You’re losing nothing. New week isn’t live. It was delayed… just like it says at the very top of this post you’re commenting on. UNTIL you trigger his timer… you have plenty time to still work on getting reels for slasher cat if you really want him with any concession the game adds as we progress.

Here’s somethin…I decided I don’t care about slasher cat, so I went ahead and got the pumpkin tower. It’s not in my storage, it’s no where, but get this! When I click on the brimstone to craft it, and it says pumpkin tower, I hit “GO” and it’s collecting the rent in an hour and 49 minutes! So it has to be somewhere, right Bunny? I checked inventory, reloaded the game…I haven’t a clue! SO FUNNY! Where is it? LOL!!!!!

Yes there will be a new type of concession to get reels. It will most likely be easier, at first, to make reels with the new concession than it is currently, to make reels with popcorn. Personally, I am waiting to place the tower. I am not risking it and I have 89 reels.

I didn’t even see scream level 3…. I somehow jumped halfway on 2 to about halfway on 4, without doing anything… Didn’t buy anything, didn’t click on anything, questline didn’t progress… Very odd!

I wonder how tiny co plans to account for the increase in further concessions cost for reels. To me it seems premium players will have a harder time than free players, due to a faster increase in the rate of scream points. It seems counter intuitive in my opinion. In my opinion the most benificial path for this event would be some sort of middle ground in spending, if player intend on getting everything. However, if something in the conversion changes; we will have to reassess.

Yes I did, but if other concessions are going to work like the popcorn, the players at a higher scream levels will suffer as a consequence for being more progressed. I’m not necessarily saying they have to work the same way, but if they do, it looks like premium players will need to shell out more money if they move too fast, is what I am saying. I just want to let others know to proceed with caution, and not go full on scrooge mcduck.

Don’t know about anyone else but Phase 2 is up for me and they removed the option for trading in popcorn solo. You can only trade in popcorn with sodas now. Which I have yet to see drop even though I killed two vampire bat swarms already. This is not a step forward.

I have read so many comments about the concern about the popcorn, and reels and slasher cat. Yes the cat is timed…over and over again. I just have to say that I’m not exactly sure what the big deal is. You don’t really even NEED slasher cat? I see that he can help you to craft scythes to unlock “death” but Lois, Bonnie, and Quagmire can craft them, too! Wouldn’t it be smart to save those reels for event #2? I was getting my undies in a bundle over slasher cat, and all of a sudden I thought WHY? I think I’m going to FREE myself, and let slasher cat’s timer run out, and move on! I don’t really need him for anything!! What do you all think?

Hey Bunny, I know this doesn’t have to do with anything in relation to this post, but remember when you did that little thing about if someone wanted to be an addict, describe why it something like that? Maybe you can start an Addict Jr. kinda thing. Not too shabby! Think about it, like sat if you forgot something or maybe even on the spot which hasn’t been posted, you know, the “little crumbs” that sometimes might not be noticed right away for some people, that they could pick up on. Even give tips or little help things, idk XD

Lol. Leave it to Tinyco to be late with an new phase. Sometimes I wonder about their ability to code this game to be able to make their 3:00 pm deadline. Maybe they should take pointers from EA because they seem to be able to constantly have smooth phase transitions. Oh, well don’t want to make this sound like a rant I am enjoying this event and can’t wait to see what they have in store for Phase 2.

That 3 is only there because it’s coded with the in game countdown to reach the END of the Event. It’s not a “launch” timer. It more just gives you an idea of the “day” it will swap out. If they mess with it the entire Event timer will be messed up on main event screen.
It’s a bit off I know… but don’t use it as “new stuff now” timer. Just more “new stuff today” 😉

So, my scream level was suppose to jump from a level 5 to a level 6 without me fully reaching the amount needed to get to the next level due to this update? What I really want to know is why I can’t play the next movie…I am way above level 4 and the movie was supposed to play yesterday around 6pm, but all I have is an hour glass sitting there, no movie…This is leaving me somewhat disappointed in the Halloween event…

Where should we be in the event right now as a freemium? I know that sometimes TC launches long term goals along with the weekly. I have about 45 reels and have not unlocked the tower yet. (Waiting for enough for Slasher Cat too) and I am nowhere near death unlocked. Not even remotely close. Maybe 8 souls, one Peter task, 3 sandals and 1 sickle. I’ve been focused on nuns and reels.
Is Death a long term goal or was it intended to be completed by week 1 in order to do week 2 tasks?

I’d be interested in a pole seeing who actually got slasher cat and who realized it was going to be timed. With no in game dialogue and skyrocketing reel prices I just gave up. And I bet that’s what the majority of people did. For a great game this seems like a big misstep.

With Scream Level 4 lowered to 350 Scream Points – easy to level up even for a very casual gamer like me. I have held back on the Pumpkin Tower and the Slasher Cat and hope the new earning option for reels will make getting the remaining 100 reels I need for both easy. No point in grinding nuns for a week… XD

With so many characters in this game (most useless) is there any way to know who to use other thank just reading your awesome site?
Ever since they added the storage thing, I have been relieved that I don’t have to click 70 people every time… But for instance right now I have 51 characters stored in inventory… And I just read that they added Joe to the balloons… Is there a way to know without taking all out of inventory to check then go through the tedious process to put them back?

Look around your game. EVERYWHERE. Characters Menu, Building, Decoration, Concession stand, etc… they all have a lil “i” somewhere in there. Like in the Concessions on the Balloon Icon there is an “i”, tap on it and see WHO drops Balloons. 😉

Please, I need help!
I have 84 reels but I don’t have neither the Pumpking Tower or Slasher Cat, so should I get the Tower and go to the Next Film Level, or should I wait until I’m sure I have enough reels to get the Slasher Cat? I don’t know what to do, because I feel that once I get the Pumpkin Tower the next film will start and I could get more reels easly, but I’m not sure of that. So I’m quite sad.

Hey ladies, hope you had a nice night of rest thanks to the delay-in-update. Question for you: like everyone else, I experienced a scream level bump about mid-afternoon yesterday when they were adjusted. I went from half-way through Level 3 to very close to Level 5. I bought the Bat Tree deco after the change, and it looked like the scream points it dropped was higher than it originally was. (I think I got 26 points instead of 20.) When I opened my game this morning, I clicked on the checkmark to get my holy balloon launchers, and suddenly I’m being told I reached Level 5. I didn’t see any scream points drop, so now I’m puzzling whether there was an invisible scream point drop for creating weapons or if TinyCo did some more behind-the-scenes/retroactive scream point adjustments overnight for decos previously purchased. I do seem to have about 40 more scream points this morning than I did when I went to sleep last night.
Thank you! These adjustments are making it harder to get Slasher Cat, but I’m glad you warned everyone well in advance not to get the Pumpkin Tower for risk of triggering the Cat’s 24 hour timer. I think it’s the only reason I’m able to roll with these changes so calmly. 41 more reels to go!

first of all, thank you so much for doing this website, I always check here first if i see weird and strange things popping up in the game, and so far I have always found my answer 🙂 So keep up the great work.
Secondly, can anyone confirm if phase 2 have launched now? When i log in (its 10.30am GMT) I get a “2” icon above the screen but when i tap it still shows the hourglass. So is this just me having a glitch or is it still not online? And if it isn’t, had TinyCo confirmed a new time?

I justjumped from scream point level 3 to level 5 totally missing out 4. So I’ve gone from needing 35 to 60 popcorn to get reels. I’ve been bashing on to get enough reels for slasher cat and would’ve got it today so now you can add a further 24 hours to that.

I have an icon to tap above the screen, but at the moment I’m close to unlocking the pumpkin tower and slasher cat (saving up those reels) and nowhere near unlocking death – chars too busy working towards reels. Should I click on the projection screen icon now or wait?
