DEATH AT THE DRIVE-IN PHASE 2 IS HERE!!!
EVENT ENDS THURSDAY NOVEMBER 5TH @3PM PACIFIC
- First up, you will have to be on Part 9 of Death at the Drive-in
- You will need to be at Scream Level 4 or Higher
- Play the New Event Phase to access ALL Content. With every new Event Phase there are “unlock points” for many items, so play through the Main Questline in order to see it all. I will Update Unlock points if any as I find them.
WARNING: There is another 24hr Timed Item in the Movie Projection Booth. This time it will be a Building Skin. Same kind of trigger point that the items BEFORE it once created will make it so the timer will start on the next tap in Booth. So if you are on a possible Timer Trigger for Slasher Cat’s 24hr timer… WATCH OUT. Don’t trigger that one either. This goes for Slasher Bait Lois, she is in the MOVIE PROJECTION BOOTH. So do not tap on her in the Menu or it will take you there.
Also, DO NOT REPAIR ESTHER’S CAR!! Not just yet anyway. It triggers Patty’s 7 Day Timer. So be prepared before jumping in.

When opening the game Connie will have a ! over her head. You can also just go tap on the Movie Screen to change the Movie to the New Phase Content and complete Part 9 of Death at the Drive-in Questline. You will also see Peter and Stewie now with a ! over their heads. (Not all Players will see the Questlines right off, it depends on WHO you already own)
Peter Starts the New Main Questline for the Event, Death at the Drive-In the Sequel… this also triggers the Vampires to start. Once you tap through Peter then will start another Questline, Meg Has a Friend… this will take you to Unlock Patty… so wait if you’re not ready, don’t start to repair the car just yet… SHE IS TIMED.
Connie Starts a Questline for her Witch Costume, Double, Double, Toil and Trouble
Stewie Starts a Questline for his Duck Costume, Scared Straight
Again… they will vary on what YOU have in your game and what Questlines you may have already triggered last year.

Werewolves: You will start to see the details of the Werewolves when you reach A Questline will trigger by a ! over Peter AFTER Death at the Drive-in the Sequel Part 3, but the Werewolves won’t start to appear until A Questline will trigger by a ! over Peter AFTER Death at the Drive-in the Sequel Part 4. I got 3 right away.
Your Characters in the game will randomly turn into a Werewolf. This will NOT stop their timer if they are on a task, but you won’t be able to collect until you hit them with the Silver Cannon and turn them back to normal.
Characters that will become Werewolves: Quagmire, Mort, Bonnie, Joe, Connie, Brain, Carter, Stewie, Consuela, Cleveland, Jake, Buzz Killington, Kool-Aid Man, Snoop Dogg, Deadmau5, Weird Al
A Questline will trigger by a ! over Peter AFTER Death at the Drive-in the Sequel Part 4, you just tap on them and you will see the same screen like the Unholy Nuns along with WHO it is that is turned in the top Left Corner. You can put a Silver Cannon down at this time and wait til Werewolf is ready to be attacked. Remember PURPLE IS GOOD. Tap on the Check Mark when the Werewolf is going INTO the Kill Zone Circle and turns PURPLE.
Werewolves Payouts: The amounts paid out vary. It seems like I got 8-9 Sodas, but still testing it out.
VAMPIRES, BATS, AND GARLIC BOMBS
You will start to see Vampires Roaming your town now after starting Part 1 of Death at the Drive-in the Sequel. Tapping on them will turn them into Bats. But now, how to get rid of those Bats? Garlic of course!
VAMPIRE SPAWN: Watch your Movie Screen. Tapping on it will show you WHO pops out next, how many, and how long til that Spawn (right now Unholy Nuns & Vampires will swap as next Spawn)
HELP NOTE: Place TWO Squares of Road right at the Entrance to Event Area where the Nuns and Vampires come out. This will make it easier to keep them right there and tap them, then Bomb the Bats right away. 🙂
The Garlic Bomb Launcher Icon will show in your Lower Right Corner of the game as soon as you COMPLETE Part 1 of Death at the Drive-in the Sequel
Garlic Bomb Launcher: You will see a New Icon in your game for the Garlic Launcher. Tapping on it will pull up a screen similar to past events where anything in the “Cloud Path” of the bomb will be destroyed. So, MAZE TIME??!! (Still testing if they even stay anywhere, right now… NO 😦 More random like the Unholy Nuns, but if you wait… you can get more than one in an area. Especially if you do it AS SOON AS YOU TAP A VAMPIRE) You will want to make the most of each Garlic Bomb.
Garlic Bombs: Jerome OR Quagmire OR The Playground OR The Police Department OR Questline OR Buy Them
****The Bats break up after tapping a Vampire into groups of 2 or 3 Flocks of Bats Each. So you get roughly 2 or 3 Flocks of Bat groups from each Vampire tapped. Tapping on the Flocks of Bats WILL stop them for a few seconds and change their direction. So… you can keep tapping on a few to keep them in an area til you are ready.

So I’m at scream level 7. They want 105 popcorn and 20 sodas for 12 reels. They DID want 25 sodas for 10 reels, but immediately after handing in 25 sodas, the price went up to 35 sodas for 10 reels.
At this rate of price escalation I have absolutely no chance at all of finishing week 2 on time. I’m just falling further and further behind…

Hello! I did not see any clarification either here or the in-game FAQ, but for Esther, every requirement that has multiple needed (ie the unicorn stickers) says “get 1 ___” except the SB Lois task(s), which is “get this now!” (which is also the same as the dark society library), so does this mean that I just pay 75 clams once and all three times are fulfilled? There have been a lot of shenanigans involved with this event so far, and I wanted to be sure before I spend the clams that it would only be 75 and not 225 clams to fulfill SB lois’s task needs for aquiring Esther. Thank you very much for your time.

It depends on where you are in getting Lois before her timer runs out. Then decide if Clams are worth it to you to get Patty (not Esther) 😉

lol oops *Patty* I think I worded the question odd.. If I pay the 75 clams to “get [SB Lois task] now,” would the 75 clams pay for only one of the three required times that SB Lois would have to perform the task? It sounds like the 75 clams are a one time thing the way that TinyCo words it, I just wanted to know for sure (I have asked via in-game messaging to no response).

I would have to test it… but I assume that would cover all 3 12 hour tasks. If it does not… that is an EXTREME clam cost as one 24hr task costs 48 clams to speed up.

It would be an extreme clam cost, but to do all 3 of Slasher Bait Peter’s 8 hour ‘be brutally murdered’ tasks to unlock death it costs 300 CLAMS! So it wouldn’t surprise me at all if the 75 clams was only for one of Lois’ 12 hour tasks. I would be curious to know.. But Im not curious enough to spend that many clams to find out lol

What building skin is this that you mentioned in your post? I am just getting ready to buy the decos on page 2 and am not sure where the skin is on that page that you are referring to. I know not to start Patty’s timer but am not sure what exact item triggers the skin? Sorry haven’t been able to get through all the posts and comments since phase two hit.

I didn’t have time to fully read this post and comments til earlier this morning. I kept trying after work but would get pulled in another direction at home or kept falling asleep while reading in bed.
So stupid me was just tapping away on vampires, when I had time to log in to the game, and thinking how easy they were to tap on der lol, and not realizing I was supposed to be trapping the vampires before tapping on them. Anyhow idiot me now has millions of bats flying around that I can’t easily hit in large groups. Now that I see I was actually supposed to be coraling the vampires, I noticed that even though my timer says, vampires are due to be released, they don’t actually come out, because I am maxed out on freagin bats. I definitely deserve the stupid idiot reward for this. Now waisting garlic trying to dwindle down bats to get more vampires to come out. SMDH.

So quick question, if I have 8 cannons built and the quest line death at the drive in sequel part 3 requires one to build 3 more, how does one accomplish this. I see no way to dump 3 cannons and the game is not giving credit for cannons previously constructed. It seems like I am hung up.

Is the high school just meant to be a premium item? I don’t see how it could at all be possible to unlock it with just earning reels.

A whole lot of unbelievable frakin time!!! If you don’t have Slasher Cat freemium by now, think about joining Bunny’s friends in the insane asylum. I have a permanent rubber room booked next to hers. Many of us have adjacent rooms so you better hurry because space is extremely limited right now.

Will we *need* to get the high school skin in order to start drafting the next batch of items? (I did get Slasher Kitty, so not sure how it worked for others). I’m just thinking I have that awesome Borg skin on my high school, and I don’t envision ever switching it off unless I must for an item drop.

Correct. It’s on main post for Phase 2 above in the Concessions area. Phase 1 ONLY popcorn. Phase 2 Popcorn n Soda OR just Soda

Confused on this
So if you are on a possible Timer Trigger for Slasher Cat’s 24hr timer… WATCH OUT. Don’t trigger that one either. This goes for Slasher Bait Lois, she is in the MOVIE PROJECTION BOOTH. So do not tap on her in the Menu or it will take you there.
Does that mean i cant get slasher cat if i dont want lois timer to start or will hers start once i collect and tap on the booth for the prize in front of her?

Lois doesn’t have a timer. Only the building skin…BUT you can’t to them til you finish page one… so ANY taps on the booth from her or other items in the menu that take you to the booth will pop up page one and if you have the Pumpkin tower… start the Slasher Cat timer.

When do the Connie and Stewie costume quests get triggered? Or are they clam box only? I’m currently on the quest to make 3 werewolf cannons, just before they start spawning. I have only been playing since last December, so didn’t get any of last years Halloween stuff (other than Meg’s sexy cat costume on that re-release a few months back).

I am still seeing WHAT caused the trigger of new ones. It could be leftovers from last year or the Best Of Sale in January that have them linked. But either way you do need the Costumes in your game to be able to see any content linked to them. 😉

Oh I think I get what you mean now, you need to already have them or get them out of the clam box. I thought it seemed odd that there would be 2 options. It’s because it says “for” her/his costume instead of “with” that threw me. Thanks bunny! 😀

For me Connie’s extra quest line was triggered at the start of Phase 2 (when TC released Phase 2 content but before I tapped the movie to actually start Phase 2). If you haven’t seen the quest lines yet you probably won’t get them. I’m not sure why I didn’t get the Stewie quest line. I have the costume. All I got from the Connie quest line was coins/xp. So if u didn’t get them ur not missing out on anything much :). The costumes themselves do give the characters a task that drops 3D glasses. That would be cool but those characters are locked up as werewolves 24/7 anyway so pretty useless.

So… for the phase prizes I was curious, do you have to trigger the last prize to move on the next phase or does it trigger by going to the page? I’d look, but I don’t have enough reels to get slasher cat (I want him). And I’ve been working on phase 2 prizes since yesterday…

The bats are frustrating. I have hit 3 flocks 3 times and only recieved one soda each time at this rate im never getting anything from the projector exp if u have to get 27 for 10 reels. Im already super behind. I havent even gotten the pumpkin tower. Ugh too frustrating

Hallo. I wanted to ask if you must finish the first page of the prizes at the movie projection boot to unlock the page 2, because in my game I can’t unlock anything of page 2, and I don’t know if it’s only a bug or a new “good idea” of tiny and co(sorry for the little rant). Thank for your hard work and sorry for my english.

For those worrying about 150 bats in 3 days, don’t panic as I’m at 80 with less than a day gone, so shouldn’t be an issue to hit the 150. Just coral your vampires, tap them and quickly gas the bats before they disperse. And if you let the nuns build up in your game without clearing them vampires will be released every hour and 18 minutes, rather than alternating with the nuns. Well that’s what’s happening in my game, maybe Bunny can verify if she’s seeing the same pattern?

In past events, if you had the max amount of a creature that came out of something like the screen. It didnt necesssarily keep that creature from being spawned from it. They still come up and when the timer gets to 0, nothing comes out (cause you are at the max)
But it definitely seems like Tiny Co needs to put more weight on vampires or soemthing from everyones comments. I am almost ready to start phase 2 (assumign i dont accidently hit the screen) at 94 reelz, and i am bout to need 60 popcorns for 5 reels. I wish people just had relaxed instead of gettin all worked up about “not gonna be able to be scream level 4” for phase 2 to start (then it got delayed anyways). Now its next to impossible to stay a lower level for lower popcorn pricing.

Does the game keep track of items dropped for Patty (such as the watches by the first item in the booth) even though the car isn’t repaired yet so her timer isn’t going? It did this with garlic, the garlic I collected in phase was counted when the garlic launcher appeared in phase 2. I’m just wondering if we can collect things for her before triggering the timer (I have an acute case of timerophobia).

Until she is an “earning character” in the game, there are no items to collect for her. They won’t even show up. In other words, the game won’t drop an item if that item does not even exist as an “active requirement” in the game. Got to repair the car to trigger her items. 😉

I’m a little confused by the new 24h-timer-warning in this post. I’m quite close to having 120 reels for building Pumpkin Tower and getting Slasher Cat, but do you mean that doing that also triggers the timer for Slasher Bait Lois at the same time???

Also, I noticed – and reported – a problem with collecting garlic: the counter doesn’t go up! Seems a bit random since I have collected some, but just now I tapped a garlic from the Police Department, and nothing happened with the counter. Anyone else having the same problem?

No garlic I collect goes anywhere that I can see/use it. It flies up to the right corner and doesn’t show up in any sort of icon.

Nope. SHE is not timed. There are two completely separate pages. Page 1 for week 1, Page 2 for week 2. Both have similar break down… earn 7 items first to trigger timer for 8th item. If you are still on Page 1… you are ONLY on page 1. You will not impact anything on Page 2 until you start collecting the items on Page 2.
In short, don’t worry. You got to complete Page 1 first to even start with the first item on page 2. 😉

I ran into a problem after getting the Dark Society Library, the game doesn’t register it as being unlocked, thus I couldn’t continue to unlock Slasher Bait Lois. I’ve already posted about it to TinyCo, but did anyone else ran into this problem?

I’ve found a great method for bombing Bats, after trying this out 5 times now, I’ve managed to get 14 Flocks of Bats hit 5/5 times. As soon as you open your game scroll to the movie screen, and if a group of Vampires are coming out, tap on all of them quickly, then bring up the Garlic Launcher, and aim for the area to the right of the projection booth, everytime I’ve done this the Bats have all been flying out in a large cluster towards the town, then fire, and as the gas spreads all the bats should fly straight into the cloud. Doing this has got me the following amount of Sodas in this order, 7, 5, 4, 4, 6. So as you see the amounts might be low, but they add up over time, and I’ve been able to bomb the groups every 2hrs. I hope that this helps any of you guys out. 🙂

So I think I made an oopsie. I’m at part 3 of phase 2 but stuck. I have to create 3 canons but I’ve already created 7 so I’ll only be able to create 1 more. ..does that mean I can’t continue the story? If I could USE the ones I already created that wound be phenomenal but werewolves won’t appear until the next section. ..as you can see I’m in quite a pickle lol.

If you make something BEFORE the task exists… it won’t count as the task didn’t exist yet. So … use the ones you have and make more. If you need to wait a lil bit… that is OK 🙂

I don’t think she can use the ones she has created though because she is on part 3 of the quest line before the werewolves appear. She can only make one more before her weapons limit is reached and can’t use any to make space, and therefore cannot make three to complete the quest.
I have no idea what the answer is for that, but hope you figure it out!

Just wanted to give an update to all that had this same issue. I went and reported it and about an hour later I went into the game to see how it was progressing to find two furry little werewolves running around. I was still at part 3 and hadn’t moved on to part 4 yet so I am assuming they threw them into my game so I could progress. Reporting it has seemed to help and now I’m progressing in the main plot again. I hope you guys all have the same luck I did!

I’m not so sure that after i convert my people back to normal, that they finish what they were doing? Afterwards they just wander around ready for a new task.
I know Lois returns to her task after you save her from slasher.
Is that the way its supposed to work? If so then its going to be crazy hard to get items from this characters.

If they were on a task… they should have finished it. If they do not… report it right away.

A couple of observations and a couple of questions. For the bats what’s worked best for me is to tap the vampires as soon as they appear in the event area then drop the garlic just in front of them. I’ve been getting 3 at a time which have turned into 9 flocks of bats. I’ve done this 3 times and gotten 9,9,6 and the time I only got 6 my finger slipped so I was slow on the garlic. There’s not much room for them to move around in the event area so could be a good way to hit groups of them
For the werewolves they will change your characters earning items for the event so you want to get them right away. Quagmire has been turned into one twice already today. But since the werewolves look alike the way I found him was by going into the movie prop shack sine he has a balloon earning task there and then hit go. It took me right to werewolf Quagmire so I was able to free him up. The facespace location trick will work too but only takes you to the general area. Of course this will work for other important characters as well.
Now the questions. 1. Does the warded bunker drop 2 retainers for Patty? I know the other buildings have dropped 2 items but I don’t want to make any assumptions. 2. What level does Death need to be for his silver cannonball task? Thanks in advance. 😀

I am testing them… but so far… it seems they drop in twos. Will update the post soon. Death’s task I am not sure as I already had him leveled up from last week. He was on 4 and had it right away. To me… it seemed you just needed the location of Warded bunker 🙂

Thanks again. Of course I rushed in and started Patty’s timer (told ya!) so I really need those cannonballs to clear the werewolves to get the sodas. With Slasher Cat needing to be at level 6 he’s not going to help for awhile so I’m going to put more people to work on Death in the hopes he can help right away. I don’t mind a challenge…this is definitely going to be one!

Finally got Slasher Cat unlocked! That makes really happy because I really wanted him. The weekly challenge seems really easy and doable. I wish garlic bombs and cannonballs didn’t take 6 hours to get and I wish more characters had tasks for those. I also rewards for bat bombings were more reliable, especially for stickers since I have gotten none yet. It’s only day 2 of Phase 2, so we’ll see how the rest of the week plays out.

Hmmmm I have 105 reels and 4 hours left on slasher cats timer but I’m not too bothered about him… maybe I should just spend the reels on new week 2 items to have a better chance at patty?? :S too much decision XD

I’ve been having my game crash when bombing large flocks of bats. I have a square of road that I wait for vampires to stand on. Then I tap them to turn into bats and have to fly out of my maze which let’s me bomb them all in one shot. Each time it crashes. 😦

Phase two has messed things up for me, one being the Slasher Cat timer starting with no real means to get enough film reels to unlock him. 😦
I made the error of starting the Patty timer, but hopefully I can crank it out enough to get her in time. *fingers crossed*
I must admit the popcorn/soda payouts look pretty bad. Especially when you can get 10 reels for just 27 sodas alone. Enjoyed Phase 1, but definitely feel Phase 2 is off to a bad start, which is a shame.

Stuck at the point of not wanting to hit the button to start phase 2 because I don’t have enough reels for Slasher Cat and don’t want to start his timer yet. Also about to hit scream level 5 so things are going to get that much worse.

I’m sure this has already been posted, but here is a good tip for the bats. Always save at least one garlic bomb. As soon as you log back in after a couple of hours, immediately go tap on the three draculas, quickly bomb after your know they turned into bats. I have hit 9+ twice now. Woo hoo

BIG doubt here. I didn’t upgraded to phase 2 because I’m working to get the movie reels I still need to get the Slasher Cat (I still need 51 and it’s becoming annoying that I need more and more popcorns to get it). I think I will still need 1 day or 2 to get it. Am I playing it right or completely wrong? If I update to phase 2 I can still get the Slasher Cat and the movie reels to get it? And if so, should I be careful with something so that I don’t blow it?

Quick question, if your road square is surrounded by fences does it stop clam tv from spawning? Also I almost have enough clams for the mystery box, is it worth it?
