Phase 2 is now live in our games, and oh the HO HO HO Horror it is bringing in. Blood sucking. Moon Howling. MORE Creepy Characters. MORE Creepy items. MORE Creepy… ummm… CREEPS!! hack hack hack hack chop chop chop chop kill kill kill kill….
With this New Phase 2 for the Event, we also get some New Characters. Characters like Meg’s Friend, Patty!
Let’s take a look at what Patty can do in our silly lil games.
Patty is a Character added during the 2nd week of Death at the Drive In 2015. As with (almost) all Characters in TQFS in order to unlock him you’ll have to collect lots of STUFF.
First though, you had to get the Stolen Silver Car in the Event Area repaired so you could her out of the Trunk of it. It will take $1000 & 10 seconds.
As soon as this repair was made, the Timer for 7 days starts on her. You will ONLY have 7 days to get all the requirements for her completed or she would go away and you could not have her in your game.
With her now visible in the Trunk of the Stolen Silver Car, you can tap on the Lock Icon to see just what all is required to bring her into your game.

15 Calculator Watches (Common): Skeletal Catacombs OR Joe Investigate Source of Prank Calls OR Bruce Frolic with Jeffrey
15 Retainers (Uncommon): Warded Bunker (Movie Projection Booth) OR Lois Freshen Up
100 Rainbow Unicorn Stickers (Rare): Bomb Flock of Vampire Bats
Dark Society Library (Movie Projection Booth)
Have Slasher Bait Lois Get Brutally Murdered (3x)- 12hrs each
Once you had all her Requirements checked off, the Unlock Icon appeared over the Stolen Silver Car. Tapping on it brought her into your game as a Character.
She does come with a Questline…sort of, Meg Has A Friend, more on it in a later post.
Patty is also a part of a Clam Character Group, Meg’s Lame Friends. Earning all the Characters in the Group and completing it will earn you an extra 20 Free Clams
.
Patty does come with a complete set of Tasks! Tasks that will help you earn $$$ & XP.

Finally got her today. Thanks to the site, I waited until I almost had SB Lois before starting her timer. I was able to get her with out paying any clams for her and had 2 days to spare with the 12 hour SB Lois task.

Sort of pissed because I was down to the wire with Patty and that’s when Consuela refused to open my game for a good 3 or 4 hours. I kept e-mailing tinyco and complaining to them and nothing… All I had needed was two more 10 reels and I could have bought dark society library and just pay clams for rest but nooooo…. It refused to load no matter how much I complained, restarted my phone, used wireless or data for internet. Wasted all that time for nothing.

‘getPlayArea’ error, I contacted tinyco support about 6 times. nothing but, we’re are looking into it try restarting your device… still didn’t help until a few hours later when it was too late to make a lick of difference.

Thanks. Here is the thing, the CAUSE for the Get Play Area glitch was that her timer had ALREADY timed out. That is what triggered the error. If you feel otherwise and have even pics to show otherwise, message them back.
ONLY Players whose timers had expired on the Character already should have seen that error. No one else.

It’s sort of hard to screen shot something when you can’t log in to prove that there was still time left in the first place. All I know was that my time would have ran out 4 or 5 EST and it was around 2 or 3 when I tried to log in with no success. Thanks anyway for trying to solve the mystery =/

AN Update: I have 3 days left to earn her and I have 41 stickers total so far. Here’s hoping I can make it without paying out any gold clams.

Glad I waited till now to start her timer…..
Bit annoyed as I’ve still not got slasher bait lois yet (15 more reels n shes mine) so I feel really far behind…. but them 100 sticker things seem easy enough as I’ve already hot 32 in half a day + the other items r common/uncommon….
I do feel sorry for the tap happy people who didn’t realise the timer would start, I myself have been burned like that, so now I ALWAYS come and look at the work our lovely ladies do 1st before jumping in to a new phase

I’m curious what is Patty’s total unlock cost in clams.

That depends on WHAT you have and what you still need? It lowers as you collect. You can find out by tapping on the Lock Icon next to all the other Bubbles of Materials. She was around 1045 to start I believe.

So she doesn’t help with anythin? I just spent 75 clams cuz my timer is out soon and I haven’t gotten lois yet. I was hoping at least she have a tatask to get level points. Man that suck

Not yet. She may come into play still… like Lois had a Pumpkin task added in Phase 3 that wasnt there. Who knows. Still have a few weeks left to see what happens.

I’ve honestly almost given up on this event. I’m still working on Death with several scythes and yellow things to go. I want Patty but I don’t think she’s feasible. I’m probably only going to try for death’s family.

Ah well. I was going to buy her out for 75 clams but she expired while the bug was keeping me from starting the game. Still working on Lois but the reel requirements are bouncing all over. They go from 35 to 27 to 30 cups without any change in scream level, and the popcorn trade requirements are bouncing all over too. The popcorn/cup combo is gone and I had a 35 for 5 available once but then that disappeared. Frustrating when there are no consistent rules to plan around.

IF she was still on a timer, report it. The reason for the lock out for many is because she WAS expired. But if that was not the case for you… report it to them right away

the timer ran out on me when I was locked out all I need I had it timed perfect the 3rd slasher bait Lois task was set to end with 45 minutes left to spare on patty. I emailed tiny co but only got a generic response

This is where it gets odd. The REASON for the lock out was that Patty’s timer was up, not still running. So if you feel there was still time on it BEFORE the GetPlayArea glitch locked you out, message them again. Even the automated one. Also, if you will… send me a Screenshot of your Player ID Screen (Menu, Account) and I will forward it on too.

Am i the only one that finds the rainbow unicorn stickers impossible to get in the timeframe? Im 4 days in and have about 20.. i get like 2 garlics a day and can maybe get 2 stickers from each of those so thats like 4 a day. Where are we supposed to get the rest!? 😦

Try to use some of the methods I offer in the Vampire or Maze post to trap as many as you can and hit as many as you can with one Garlic

Id do that but ive had an annoying problem for over a year now where anytime i have more than a few buildings in my town the game cant last more than a minute without crashing. Did everything to try and fix it but nothing worked so just gave up lol.

Sounds like the device can’t handle this intense a game app. I’ve had to put away other older devices due to the same. It is like trying to run a site now a days on a computer from 2000, though it wasn’t that long ago… technology has come a LONG way. It changes yearly. So devices struggle to keep up.

I’ve gotten everything for her except for Slasher Bait Lois. So I’ve thinking about spending 75 clams to get her, but as she doesn’t benefit the game, I think I’ll pass and just focus on Death and his family.
I feel the whole Slasher Cat scenario took my fun out of this event, and the fact that we spent a hard 7 days to get Patty, and she doesn’t aid the event is such a let down.
I’m going to stay loyal to this game, but I think this event is probably their weakest since Kingdom of the Butt.

Anyone else getting a “getPlayArea” error message on loading the game? Only asking here because the last time I played I had a 1/2 hour left on my Patty timer. The next time I tried to load the game ( about an hour later) I got Consuelas getPlayArea message and I’m still not able to get back in. Wondering if it had to do with either Patty or Phase 3? I messaged TC and am waiting for a response.

I was one of the people. Who obeyed the popup on checked out Meg’s Friend only to be greeted by a 7 day timer. Was leaving it as long as I could and getting down the calm cost before buying. Now I’m locked out the game with and error (I’ve mailed it to TinyCo) but the timer will be gone in Less than 15 mins! No chance of getting her now.

Just unlocked Slasher Bait Lois so just 3 tasks to do and Patty is done. I know she hasn’t got any item gathering tasks but she’s part of a clam group that should be achievable if we don’t set off the timers until ready.

I have 8 hrs left to unlock Patty.im 5 away on reels for the library (which i should have in a few hours)and I’m still far from getting slasher Lois.under patty’s requirements to unlock it says 75 clams to ‘get this now’ for the 3x Lois task.does this mean 75 clams will count for 1x of her task or all 3x? I didn’t even start on Patty, it was obvious there was no way for me to get to Slasher Bait Lois in the 7 day window. Patty will probably stay in the trunk forever.

I just needed Lois’s outfit to complete the task but I’d clicked repair by accident after last weeks update and didn’t have time to save the reels etc. I’d already messaged Tiny Co about the flaws of being punished for progressing by the cost of reels increasing, the time limit for Slasher Cat etc. then followed up with similar complaints about Patty and the skin for the school. I would have bought Michael, Chucky, Pinhead etc as I love the Hallowe’en stuff and bought all the characters last year. I said I’d give them a few days to explain the reasons for structuring the latest event like they had or resolve the issues somehow before leaving the game if left unsatisfied. They have replied and it was generic thanks for the feedback, we’re always looking to improve the game etc, no actual response to the points raised. So, it’s with some regret that I’ve now deleted the game, especially during an event which I really enjoy. It was fun and Alissa and Bunny, you’ve been awesome and do an amazing job, thanks for keeping myself, and the other addicts, entertained and informed : )

I can understand a lot of players abandoning the game during this event. I have supported the game from the beginning but each event seems to be robbing long time players of the enjoyment they once had playing it. While I will not delete it– yet– I will just strictly play the game without buying any more clams. I already messaged TinyCo of the ridiculous amount of clams needed for stuff– e.g., 1,650 clams instant buy for a building skin that’s 24-hour timed 300 reel requirement. It doesn’t make sense to me.

Agreed, I was a player from the start/launch as I love Family Guy, I have been playing premium but now the events are becoming grinds rather than fun and to top it off my game wont log in due to some error others are receiving too, If I can sort it I will now sadly only be a freemium player..Bunny and co. You are awesome though, keep up your good work! I hope Tiny Co. Reward you all accordingly.
