What The Deuce?!

Happy Weekend Clammers!

Well we’ve all made it through another week and the weekend is here!

All week we field your comments about your frustrations in the game and we wanted to give you (and us) a fun way for you to voice your frustrations and get it all off of your chest.

So welcome to WHAT THE DEUCE?!

What the Deuce

Here’s your place to vent about anything and everything, Family Guy or not. Consider this your weekly bitch fest and get it all out with a good…WHAT THE DEUCE?! And start your weekend fresh! 🙂

REMEMBER: This is the ONLY place all that Venting and Frustration is allowed, so please Respect the Addicts Guidelines and post them ONLY here. They are always open, so you can use them at anytime. 24/7, 365 days a year. Help us by keeping the Vents/Rants off all the other helpful posts. 🙂

Just be respectful of others & be mindful of the language while commenting. Censor yourselves so we don’t have to!!

Here’s mine for this week:

WHAT THE DEUCE… SLOW DOWN!! I don’t mind a Challenge, I don’t mind a lot to do, but this is just getting to be TOO much. Need to rewind back to not having to be in the game all the time to get something. Love the ideas. Love the animation. Love the Theme (Halloween is my favorite). Just… a lil less. That or make it a longer Event. Or even a District. I really like all this stuff and would love to have it in my game, but… I just don’t have that kind of time. No one really does. I addressed it before, but the “12 step Program” of earning things is not something I like terribly. Just one n done, Please. NO MORE 12 STEPS!!

WHAT THE DEUCE… Mind won’t shut up at night, making me VERY tired for training, making me constantly second guessing EVERYTHING I do. I am passing it all so far with 100%, but still… I just need to sleep more than 3 hrs. AAAAHHHHH!!! ALL WORK AND NO SLEEP MAKE BUNNY PSYCHO!!!

Now it’s YOUR turn…give us your WHAT THE DEUCE?! moments from the past week!  Go on, get it off your chest…you’ll feel a lot better! 🙂

  1. Hurray! My iOS game is now crashing within a minute of starting up. What changed? Well… There’s this timed task asking me to buy clams and get ‘free’ reels that wasn’t there earlier. I’ve gone through activating that task three times now (i.e. I got Peter to tell me about it, again and again). Fingers crossed this affects many players, and maybe, just maybe, they’ll look into that section of code.

  2. What the deuce. Now that i need werewolves for parade of horibles not a one to be found. I normally have over 10 but not now i have zero. I also have 7 silver balls on ready witch means i can only craft one water balloon at a time to get 15 unholy nuns as i wait over 2 hours still no werewolves, i got carter laughing at the poor all the time he is still not turning into a werewolf after 2 days. Im still trying to get to phase 5, and trying oh so hard not to touch the drive in screen becouse then i would be completely at a dead stop trying to get ice cream when i have over 50 a piece of popcorn sodas etc. etc. ect. So im at a 1 craft item water ballons till werewolves come back WHAT THE DEUCE TINY CO!

  3. What the deuce. I finally get to week 4 challenge in Week 6 and I am unable to get the asylum as “by design” you are not able to trade in any concessions for reels until you turn in the new concession.

What the deuce: I have over 400 clams and I have no desire to spend them on anything as in two weeks any money spent makes not difference in future events.

  4. Too much stiff roaming my Quahog! There are nuns, knights and bats at every corner, which makes my poor old tablet lag and sometimes crash. It brings back bad memories of a time when this used to happen all the time. Worse, everything still moves forward in the background even though the screen is all jiggery, so it’s virtually impossible to tap on the intruders to throw holy water, silver cannonballs or pumpkins at them… because they’re no longer when your finger tapped.

But the most annoying is that even though all other animations are not tied to their position on the screen (i.e. if it takes half a second for the screen to refresh, everything has moved by the distance they normally cover in half a second), there’s one exception: the garlic bombs, which only travel when the screen refreshes (i.e. no matter if it takes half a second or more to refresh, when it does it always only display the next frame of animation). As a result, you may shoot right in the middle of a pack of 10 bats, by the time it lands they may all have moved beyond reach. You cannot predict the speed of the garlic bomb because the slowing down is variable. It’s absurd that of all animations, the only one that is tied to the display refresh speed is precisely the one for which timing is critical…

There’s no way we can pursue every type of monster at the same time. Therefore why couldn’t we have buttons to get rid of the ones we’re not presently interested in? (aaah I feel better already! Thanks for giving us the chance to vent!)

  5. I finally got Death’s Mom out of the booth today and it took forever because the limited amount of choices to gain Reels. I usually have only 2 options with one being all Ice Cream Cones for 20 Reels. My progress in the game has come to a complete stop because everything is based around gaining Ice Cream Cones.

With progress stalled I don’t see any way to get 750 Reels for Hook Hand Albert even with the extra week. It took 2 extra days for me to get Death’s Mom out and she’s the second one in the Booth. The only way to fix this is if they double the amount of characters, who can get Magnets. 4 just isn’t eno0ugh with it being Rare, because you’re most likely going to be 1-2 Magnets short when they all drop.

    • WTD@ TinyCo deciding to release the Death Sign just after I used all my usless 3D Glasses on Cornstalks. Now I have none and to get the sign to help you gain Ice Cream Cones you have to buy every deco. There was only 1 left when it popped up, which wasn’t that bad, but today they dropped 2 more decos. I won’t get the sign until Monday at the earliest.

This final week of the Halloween Event is a complete dud. I’m currently at Scream Level 16 and need like 500 more points to get to Level 17 to unlock Phase 6, but I can’t because my game is at a dead halt. I’m stuck unlocking Death’s Mom, which can’t be done because the characters needed to unlock her are also needed to get Magnets, which can’t be pulled away from that with them being Rare and I need to unlock the Dungeon for the Extra Rare Plates to unlock Mom. Death’s Dog hasn’t dropped one yet. Its also been a problem getting Spatulas because for the first 2 days I had Chris doing it alone he only dropped them once even though they are suppose to be common. I then need Mom to stop the Car from chasing Jerome, so her can Throw Darts 3x.

All I’ve been able to do for the last week is collect Magnets, which takes forever with only 4 characters.

The Concession Stand design model sucks. I’m like 4 levels in at removing all items and I keep getting a maximum of 3-4 choices. I go through the first 1-2, but the last 2 always involve stupid Cones. *bleep!* those *bleeping!* Cones!!! 😡

  6. I have completely given up on playing this event haha. It is so overwhelming that I had to put the game down. I haven’t played in days and it feels quite liberating. I really wanted Death’s dog and thankfully I had enough clams to make the purchase. Mission accomplished! Maybe the next event will be easier with less steps and will not be overwhelming to play. There are too many people wandering around that I can’t tell what’s going on anymore, so I will wait to even work on the District I’m in until the event is over. To all who are still grinding, hang in there!! You have more patience than me. Hats off to ya. Also, shout out to Bunny. I started playing last Halloween and have gone to your site for everything! I would be completely lost and would not have accumulated all the stuff that I have today if it wasn’t for you and the rest of the gang. Huge huge thank you!! ❤

  8. Sigh. 25 ice cream for 20 reels. 1… 2 if I am really lucky.. magnet drops from the 4 tasks I have that do it every 4 hours. So, if I am getting 40 reels per day, that is crazy lucky. Sure, other reel getting options open up – but rarely, and also always ALWAYS requiring ice cream now. I have hundreds of popcorn and soda, and a good amount of chocolate and candy…. but still, the ice cream bottkeneck is killing this week for me. Currently, and most of the time, my only option is 25 ice cream.

I even started this week on time, surprisingly – and still am 50 reels from getting Death’s mom’s house. I had been optimistic, with the posts of people getting reels faster. But so not the case for me. Hookhand Albert is not even going to be an option. At this rate, I can’t even see finishing the items to even get to him.

Thanks for the rant space 🙂

  9. WTD… I didnt have a complaint about this Event until now. Basically, I have over 140 Sodas and the Concession Stand wont give me an option to trade them for Reels. I keep collecting them b/c I keep having to change my characters back from being werewolves. All I want is to unlock Patrick but I’ve lost nearly 2 days just b/c of no option to trade Sodas. I still need to place the Asylum to even begin on him. I’ve been trading Popcorn and Chocolate but it is slow going… too many werewolves wouldnt be a problem if I could just trade the Soda!

  10. Special WTD: Cause and Effect Evil Edition

This event is horror in an of itself. Let’s take a brief look at all the bad surrounding the event and how to cope:

    1) The event is on rails. There is no longer strategy required as to what items to pick up when. Simply put, when the game plays itself, there’s no longer a point to it. Hell, the “interactive movie” genre is more exciting than this.

    2) Event currency isn’t clearly defined or of little use. As reels are a mandated as part if the construction process should they be considered event currency? Simply not having a choice as to how to spend the reels negates them as event currency. This makes 3D glasses the defacto event currency that has little impact on game play. So…pointless.

    3) Mandatory participation. In every online game there exists the event. Events are meant to be side quests that enhance a game usually offering a fun means of detracting slightly from the grind that is all online games. Once an event become mandatory, it ceases to be an classically defined event by definition and instead turns into a frustrating mess for newer players. On my alternate game, I quit playing becuase I became stuck on moving forward with the main storyline due to characters being incessantly hijacked. This becomes unacceptable and will force new players to abandon ship. The competition doesn’t do it for good reason. Wake up and smell the burnt toast you’ve created TinyCo!

    4) Nothing to see hear, move along… So the geniuses (read sarcastically) over at TinyCo have allowed the ultimate lie to propogate out of control. When there’s a problem with your product, acknowledge it and fix it.

    Known Issues:
a.) The main engine for the game is unstable and has numerous dead end lines of code. These cause crashes when the device attempts to run the coding and fails but continues to keep trying, thus taxing system resources. Depending on the version of software, these come as minor hiccups or outright failure.

b.) The game updates create tremendous resource issues because they do not remove depricated content.

c.) In game advertisements fail to go back into the game for collection, giving false positives and duping the players into generating more revenue for your company with little to no payout. (See a. for more details as to why this happens)

d.) The more animated pixels on your screen, the worse the performance. This is a direct result of failing to grasp limitations on platforms. While true that no game house can test every permutation of hardware that their game may be played on, all manufacturers of units for Android and iOS have data available on what their hardware specs are. Simply choosing each manufacturers low end (cut off by OS version) equipment as the test configuration will ensure success the majority of the time.

These an numerous other issue plague the game. So why not fix them? Sadism? Laziness? Cost effectiveness? Nah… it’s numbers. Investors only look at two main numbers before offering up money. First, popularity. As in number of downloads. Keep in mind App stores don’t show the number of unique downloads to the public, so when a game is plagued by issues, we’re suppose to uninstall and reinstall, right? Likewise, it doesn’t show the number of uninstalls to the public either. Collectively, they add up to showing hundreds of thousands of users that may not exist. Secondly, profit. Most every company in existence works off a profit margin. If the return on investment is potentially quick (read high profit margin) then there’s less risk. FG is a Fox property, which has a bit more prestige added to the mix. So how to maintain or grow profit margin on a notable property? Make people spend more money of course! During events, any delay will come with either an acceptable loss or high pressure to get caught up. Issues with the engine or performance triggers a lag in game play. This results players “getting behind” which in turn triggers more sales to get caught up. More sales equals more profit. While all business are in business to make money, shady dealings like these both wrong the players and the investors. Albeit the latter could care less as they too are making money. There’s a reason why stuff made in China is designed to fail after a certain amount of time. But to compare this game to Chinese products would be offensive to China it’s that bad. So in short, too late I know, flaws help get us behind and when questioned, we’re all told functioning “as intended”. Yep, they admit flaws are there by design!

    5) The Helpless desk is truly helpless. The point of any helpdesk is to offer assistance. In a timed event, this help should be offered in a timely manner to which it is not. How many of us have waited a week for a reply in which an automated response comes back apologizing for not getting to the issue while it was pertinient? Bad support is worse than no support, so why pay for it? Same as above, this too is intended. Placating a player is better than infuriating one. “We’ll pass your concerns/issues along to the developers” is among their favorites as it shows action without comitting to it. They also are very prompt at ending the conversation as resolved when quite often it is not. This is probably less TinyCo and more Helpshift but in the end, falls back to TinyCo management for the decision to continue to use of Helpshift.

    6) The cost in time versus value is simply poor. $10.00 per character seems a might bit excessive when the charcater is mostly useless after 7-30 days. $10.00/week is $520/year. What could you do with $520? How about a new PS4 or XBox One? Maybe a new PC? New phone perhaps? For many higher income earners, tossing away $500 on entertainment is not a big deal. However, as this game is single handedly the most expensive game I’ve ever played, I think of this from time to time. If you have 400k players at $500/year you’ve made $50 million. Even calculating in overhead and licensure, you’ll pull a tremendous profit. This profit alone is enough to keep doing exactly what you’re doing until the profit margin is no longer there. Now the naysayers will spout that not everyone pays $10/week. While very true, this is more than made up by those who spend more than that per week. Their operation, as suggested by the name is also Tiny. They rent a floor of a small building, the cost of Helpshift is minimal (see their website) and I’m sure that though employees make a good wage, the paycheck equates to around industry standard and profit share is not in the company vocabulary. They have not and probably will never do an IPO to become a public entity. Sure licensure costs but they’re hardly cash strapped. So must the game be so expensive? No, but as long as the money keeps coming in at current pricing, it will be.

    7) We’re all behind unless we spend a fortune. Again this is intended. Knowing they can extend the timer with minimal effort, the player being behind is a way to create urgency to spend money. Limited time offers, limited time events/quests/characters, timed challenges, etc are all in their arsenal to create urgency. Urgency generates money. Nuff said.

So how to cope with the fall out of this event. Tools to help us all:

    1) Not happy with the price? Don’t pay it. Prices won’t come down until the profit margin dips.

    2) Uninstall and reinstall after every 1-2 major events or as needed to clear out the garbage and leave the rating at 1 star until all issues are resolved.

    3) As suggested on another forum and by some users on this forum. Don’t bother with the in game help session. Send an email to TinyCo directly at help@tinyco.com . Responses may be limited but issue will be addressed with enough issues.

    4) Though I didn’t really pick on the drop rate, know that it’s intended and if the math is that bad, complain to the proper people (see above).

    5) OCD players, gamblers, and digital hoarders are who their primary targets are. If you think there’s something you can’t live without, proceed with caution. Chances are you’ll be giving them your money. Set a game budget and stick to it. Plan to spend only a certain amount for the year. Such as $20/Christmas, $10/Valentines, $20/Summer, $20/Halloween, $30/Miscellaneous. That basic plan has now cut your expenses to $100 which is more than most annual game subscriptions but 75% less than what you were paying. Use the money to get into other games that offer less headache and more value.

ie. An Xbox live gold account is $60/year and gives you 2 XBox 360 games and 2 Xbox One games free every month. $40 to $100/month of games for the price of $5/month. Or get an online MMO subscription for the same price. Want mobility? Playstation has a portable. Basically their are far better values to be had with your money and budgetting entertainment provides you with a better experience while still playing a game you love.

    6) If a participation becomes mandatory or dedication to the game becomes too great, walk away. The essence of a game is enjoyment. If you cease to enjoy, stop playing. Your Quohog will be there when you come back, if it’s not, then the powers that be have pulled the plug which isn’t an “if” but a “when”. All games have a shelf life and our game is no exception. Business happens. Life happens. Think of how many online games have gone away. Not many juggernauts like WoW are left standing after a 5 year mark. Most games are gone after 1 year with the majority gone after 2. FG TV ratings have also slipped and eventually, this game to shall find its way into the anals of video game history. In short, nothing lasts forever so enjoy it while it lasts. Key word is enjoy.

    7) The phrase “as intended” means “on purpose”. By sheer definition it means with intent. By legal definition it means knowingly having done. So if the response given from them at all is “as intended” it’s the same as saying “I know, and?” If the result is frustration, it was on purpose. See above as to what to do about not enjoying the game.

    8) Asking for a refund of money or complaining to the license holder aren’t going to get you very far and in fact are quite pointless. Only if something is awry with the game that violates the app stores terms of service should this option be excercised. Fraud is such a case and can be proven when a purchase does not function as advertised and/or billing occurs without permission; however, this is few and far between. Contacting Fox won’t go the way you may think as they licensed the content, meaning they make money from it. Only if the license is devalued or caused massive public outcry would they care. Best suggestion would be to ask for clams back if the purchase doesn’t have merit. But know in doing so, it may not garner results. As is the case with TinyCo “as intended” doesn’t mean “as you think it should be”. Purchase wisely.

    9) Any event will have red herrings. Focus on what you want out of the game and know that the majority of side quests are dead ends. Maybe there’s clam value or decos to be gotten but still result in a dead end that is unneccessay to complete the event.

In this case, there were dead ends in the form of both questlines and characters. Premium characters and earned characters such as Slasher Cat remove both spending power and resources from your game. Most people that earned Slasher Cat are about 3-days behind unless they bought clams buildings to supplement the loss. The premium characters help get items for builds; however, become fairly usless within a week of purchase. Additional side characters like Meg’s friends have little use in game passed the collection of one or two items they may have gotten during the build process and server to strip resources and time away from actions. The formulaic rails of this event ensure getting behind if you pop off to do a side quest. If future events are like this, be certain of which path to take. TinyCo us aware that people are ignoring some decos/buildings in lieu of getting characters so we all should have seen this coming.

    10) Finally, if the game seems too complicated to play without a roadmap, it is and it’s by design. If you’re lost it’s with good reason (see most of the above) . Before playing too far into any event, map out a game plan. Know which quests and items are pertinent to completion and which other items you’d like to have. Though you can usually get most of your answers here, there are plenty of other sites to help fill in the blanks. Once you have your roadmap, stick to it. Timers are often a distraction to the real road ahead and are meant to generate lag and income. In the end, who cares about a deco you had to work a month to get if the cost in time puts you behind enough to have to spend money for it anyway?

  11. What the deuce tiny Co? I busted tail and spent a lot on clams to get to the week 5 content Saturday night and I’m on revenge of the scythe part 5 but I still have no options to trade in the 208 Popcorn, 75 soda, 68 chocolate bars and 28 licorice I’ve got just sitting in inventory. It’s put a complete stop to my progression since I can’t trade anything but Ice cream since week 5 began in my game. And unfortunately it’s taken me ALL DAY yesterday to get 4 magnets and one 20 ice cream payout from Albert. At this rate I’ll never get the remaining 130 reels for deaths mom’s house. To add insult to injury when I messaged you in game about this issue I got you usual “it’s working as intended and the items will change after each purchase” except They Are NOT changing! I have purchased reels x 3 now with ice cream and every single time it just goes back to 20 reels for 25 ice cream and no other options at all. Do you even LOOK at a players game before sending your response on issues? Because if you had, you’d see I’ve purchased with ice cream multiple times but still don’t have any options for anything but ice cream! Boo, hate hate hate this event and the grind of crafting crap just to be unable to use it!

  12. Wtd is up with the lagging and crashing? Ive been playing for a long time now. Since almost the beginning and I can’t keep my game running to progress in this event. As a premium player I find it especially frustrating on how far behind I am. I am already annoyed and will no longer be a premium player and if this isn’t fixed I’m gone.

    • Android, right? The game on iOS seems to be more stable than on Android for some reason – but don’t read that like it’s awesome on iOS, because it hardly is. My Android tablet has 2GB of RAM and that’s not good enough for it. My iPad mini (1st gen, non-retina) has 512MB of RAM. Weirdly enough, the game was a lot more stable on a cheapie phone that only had 512MB of RAM. Come to think about it, it was a lot more stable on my LG G2 when I tried it quite a while back. Do they have pixel obesity issues? Among other things, that is.

But no, if you’re on Android none of the suggestions will help. Don’t believe me? Reset your tablet to factory freshness, install only Facebook (so you can restore the game) and FG, and you’ll see that even after a fresh boot in this configuration FG will crash like mad.

      • All my main Devices are Android I use to run this site info. Storing items helped and I don’t have crashing issues daily or lagging like others report. GS4 and both my 10.1 & 8 tablets function fine.

More items I add back… slower it gets with this game and TSTO. Both are similar in mass RAM usage

        • Well, it’s the same account that I use on both iOS and Android – I’m not playing two separate games. Android is a lot more crashy. I actively store decos away, but keep buildings around. I’m contemplating nuking my town after this event and keeping only the buildings I need for items, as I already have 3 million coins, and hoarding more isn’t helping with anything.

On the other hand, I have a friend who has barely a quarter of my buildings (she is about half way through the districts – just got Stewie) and hasn’t cleared up about half of the available land, but the crashes are about what I am experiencing. It’s like they are not really related to town size.

The one difference I noticed is that iOS is a lot quicker to turn buildings into “missing image” gears than Android is. As soon as I scroll a few buildings offscreen and then immediately scroll back they’ve been turned to gears.

          • I’m talking same account too. Same one I use for the site details. I open it on all 3 of my Android devices as well as my iOS device. For me… it’s more stable in my android phone then my iOS.

I scanned through the directory and there’s tons of code and graphics wasting space from over a year ago, that should have been removed from their servers when the even ended. I sent messages via email to them about this when I got game errors, but I doubt they’ll ever clean it up.

  13. WTD…I had a very long work week and not much time to play, and wouldnt u know it I unknowingly opened a timed quest…one that included kill 10 insane clowns in 3 days. I took time at breaks and lunch and whenever I could find 10 minutes or so lol cuz I such an addict to make that dog do his task and also collect from the house to get those barrels, get them in the que to craft, and I had just enough to finish it tonight before it expires by the skin of my teeth then BAMMMMM…..my game decides “hey, Im gonna freeze up and mess up your quest, hehehehe” right as I clicked to place the cannon right next to a clown standing still. Every other game I play, I looked and opened to see if they were having issues to see if it was my laptop, and not one game had a load issue or anything, so I go back to the tab with FG, STILL frozen. No choice, I had to refresh it with hopes it actually might have killed the clown in the abyss…sadly no and now I miss a prize 😦 I havent enough time to remake that one cannon I need. So sad…

I also purchased Satan.( I already had Jesus, they need a joint task where they can face off. lol)
Anyway it seems like I am way behind. I got to level 14 a day late and I didn’t get the licorice until Friday, and I’m still a page behind I believe, and what about the **** ice cream? Holy ****,Yeah right! And Hook Hand is out of the question.

  16. The weekly challenges have finally gone from being a test of maximizing time usage and collecting lots of stuff to basically only being able to complete it if you pay. Why do I say that?

The new timed challenge get is only doable for 24 hours. Even this wouldn’t be so bad except one of the requirements is to clear demonic cars.. and you need deaths mom for that.

It is completely impossible to finish deaths mom’s requirements AND clear the cars within 24 hours. Unless you spend over 20 dollars in clams to buy her.

Thanks tinyco. All the effort I put into for the past month completing the challenges and progressing through these events was wasted. I clearly have to pay to have fun playing a free game.

Well, I couldn’t be more unhappy!!!!!! This event is soooooooo boring and soooooo unfair (crafting items). I just want to work on the beer district and have all these ridiculous werewolves just disappear.
It’s just so frustrating that I HAVE to take part in this lame event, because Carter and Brian keep turning into werewolves. Can’t Tiny Co. figure out a way for people not interested in the events to not be bothered with the events?

    • Extrending the event by another week should allow players to catch up…. except for the fact that they’re running another movie and will undoubtedly have more stuff to have to build for in the projection booth. So… extending the event is less likely to favor the players at all as far as quest completion is concerned.

  18. Finally got to the clowns and have a huge stockpile of items to get with reels, but suddenly, every trade in option is gone, only the red vines from clowns is available, which is a huge problem because cannons are the hardest to get, as I only have 3 ways to get them.

What the Deuce!? Basically they said “nope, you’re not going to get out of the 3rd set of rewards before the end of the game without spending real money!”

I sent them a message about this as an issue, but I don’t expect anything in response.

    • FYI… not an issue. If you look at Phase 4 live rundown as well as main questline you’ll see that a TON of options open back up after you complete Part 1. They even give you 3 Cannons to get your first clown n licorice to do so in Part 1. 😉

      • That’s the thing, I completed part one and it still only have red vines as the turn in. It’s very possible this is like earlier problem where the pumpkins weren’t damaging the horsemen but that got solved when the game had an update.

        • How many licorice have you used from that initial 15? How many of each of the other supplies do you have?

          • So ok I’m stuck on the clowns part 4. How can I clear 10 clowns when NONE have spawned since needing to get the initial 2. I’ve been playing this game since it had less than 10,000 downloads in the play store, but after the steady decline of actually being able to enjoy the game without being forced to pay to move along is enough…I hate to throw away almost 2 years of work but yeah it’s looking more and more like a uninstall…..smh

            • Not sure what you are getting at here. If you are in Phase 5, as soon as you clear a Clown another shows up out of the Movie Screen area withing seconds. So you can clear one after another after another. If this is NOT happening in your game, then something is wrong with your game and I would suggest some troubleshooting to resolve it or reach out to TinyCo.

Make sure your app is up to date from the App Market to 1.13.7 Version. Try the other usual basics like an uninstall/reinstall if you have your game saved and linked. Ig that does not help, contact them as they spawn over n over n over n over.

  19. Hey guys what r the drop rate for squeaky steaks like? Thinking about spending 25 clams so I can carry on to phase 4. I’ve currently only got 68/120 film reels need for the boat so I can start getting them through drops and I don’t want to buy pinhead. Is there good stuff in phase 4 prob won’t see the last week of stuff even with this much appreciated extension I’d previous weeks r anything to go by.

  20. I have been playing since almost day one but these events are becoming so slow to progress. I really dislike this get A to get B to craft C to take out D approach and have messaged Tinyco to tell them as much. I have so many supplies that I have stopped collecting them now. I can’t craft items fast enough to use them anyways. The progress in this event is sooo slow due to always waiting hours just to take out 1 horror at a time, slowly working towards more reels to unlock a movie prop. Then once I get it I have to wait days for it to drop the items I been to unlock the next character. I want to play a game, not run an assembly line.

  21. WTD?!? I just got to part 5 of Patrick’s questline, and it requires Cleveland!? I do not own Cleveland, nor do I have any intention of buying him, so I guess I will never be able to clear this questline! Why on earth would they include a premium character in a questline for a character that was earned, and has nothing to do with the character?? I don’t recall any interaction whatsoever between Patrick and Cleveland.

  22. I missed, well I was sick and not playing for 2 weeks about, and I have to say as others have been, and I only started with the Star Trek event but I am at max level and this is my last event!
I can’t do this to myself anymore, a game isn’t a shopping list that you make your gamers check off items in a predetermined order, Customer support is just a complete unfunny joke for me and I lost 40 days of mobsters event and even though I had put some clams into the game that 1st week TC offered no compensation at all for my loss, I stupidly started playing again after that and this is it, I have the last 3 districts which I may or may not finish, if I do it will be on my time, not this ridiculous schedule they can’t even keep up with themselves,
my time on this earth is too short to lose anymore of it stressing about a dumb game, which IMHO this has become!
I do thank you guys for all your work it has been very useful
I see the comments here and that has helped keep me going but I am not interested in beating my body up anymore losing sleep and stressing over this!
    TY again!

  23. WTD Cyclops house has dropped NOTHING!! (well, except coins and scream points) I get that it’s an extra rare item but the house has been in my game for 3 days now and it only has a 2 hour timer so it gets collected every time I log on to the game every few hours so that’s at least 6 collections a day for 3 days and nothing, nada, zilch, zero. Come on!!!! It’s all I need to unlock Patrick.

  24. I just can’t support this anymore. I’ve been playing this game since it first came out, and it’s just a mess now. People have been asking for more space forever, and it’s not coming out. What’s the point of collecting new buildings and decorations if they’re going to sit in your inventory because there’s no space to put them? Money is now pretty much useless, I have millions sitting there with nothing to do with it. Their short answer was to put a couple of mausoleums in that cost $200,000 or so, big deal. Put something in worthwhile and scale up the cost of everything properly. The worst of it, as mentioned in several other places, is the blatant money grab. You can’t do anything without spending clams, and when you do spend them on premium characters, they’re useless in a week or two for everything afterwards. During the mob event my game crashed relentlessly on multiple tablets, no fixes, no responses from support, but they still want me to spend money on it? I think the game is mostly past fixing at this point, I’m barely bothering to try anymore because without spending 100% of my time on it, I’ll never get anywhere in it. Right now, Simpsons is an infinitely better game, properly implemented and updated. You can spend money to speed things up and get premium characters that have multiple uses past the initial questline. I can’t justify spending money on a broken game, so they’ve lost a player. Hopefully the community starts dying out to either force them to fix it or throw in the towel, because it’s just delaying the inevitable right now.

    • They can’t give you more space because that would make the game crash more. And it’s not (reading some MBA’s mind, hold on…) … “a valuable proposition to the business” to invest in making the game leaner. Money is pouring in, they’re laughing all the way to the bank. It’s a wonder that they did add a bit more space since the game began. By the time people decide to stop giving them money, they’ll have so much cash in the bank they’ll still call everything a success, and pat each other on the back for making the right call not investing more money in game development.

  25. I really hate tHe reel exchange. I’m so behind because of it. I need 80 chocolates for 40 reels 100 soda for 40 reels and then another 40 chocolate and 75 soda for 23 reels. This takes forever to make. As well as having to kill clowns that need 3 hours and 45 minutes each. So had enough of this event. I even spent money and can’t keep up. Wish you just collect the props from characters and use them straight away instead of collect this make that waste hours on waiting. Not to mention if you miss the target as well. RUBBISH RUBBISH RUBBISH EVENT!!!!!!!

  26. WTD whose bright idea was it to use death dog in the quest line??? I’m now way more than a week behind. Also since I unlocked the next movie tinyco should totally let me shoot clowns. It would give me another way to earn reels also I bought ghost face because scream is the only horror movie I watch and I’m probably not even going to be able to use him in the event. I’m really irritated that the only way to progress quickly enough to get anything else is to spend clams on pinhead I don’t even know who he is 😦 I really do think this event should be extended and am starting to find this whole thing disappointing as tinyco doesn’t seem to care anymore. Love u girls thanks so much for putting up with all our negativity.

  28. I love events, but the past 2-3 ( including this one) I am always left behind! I start it at the same point as everyone else, but trying to progress is so dang hard unless you spend clams! We are half way through the 4th phase, but I’m still stuck on phase 3 because it took me almost 2 weeks to finish phase 1. It’s really disappointing.

What the deuce?!?! Just started the phase 4 questiline and now the only option I have to get reels is 7 licorice for 5 reels. Why won’t they set fixed exchanges?

Also, why do they have to put so much stuff into their events? I miss the days of ComicCon, where you just had to collect blam, tap some nerds and bomb some minions, fun yet doable without having to open the game every hour. Ever since the Star Trek event they’ve been overdoing in. Seriously considering quitting this game. Not to mention that I have a TON of characters that have been in storage pretty much since I got them (I honestly even forgot about some of them, like the S&M Cow). Why does TinyCo always use the same characters for the events?

  30. Working through clearing the ten clowns for the timed challenge is a unbelievably long slog. And it’s preventing me getting more valuable stuff to trade for reels. Couple this with the fact that I am not unlocking the new car until I at least get the Cyclops House and I am stuck at an early stage in the main quest, just grinding away.
This event has been a real roller coaster and if it had not been for all of the new available characters, I was pretty close to giving up. TinyCo need to learn from their mistakes on this event which has been needlessly complicated and ridiculously hard. Hopefully November will offer some respite before the inevitable full-on Christmas event.
