Where The Hell…? Pinhead

In this lil game of ours, it is easy to get lost and so focused into collecting items or unlocking characters that we tend to forget the lil things that make the game what it is. Like Where the HELL did these items come from and why are they in our games?

Well I am here to do just that for you. Let’s take a look at the Family Guy Series and find out just Where The HELL Did That Come From?

In this post, I will be covering the origin of Pinhead (for his character profile, click HERE; for his questline, click HERE). Why is he in our games? Was he actually in the Family Guy series? How evil is he? Let’s take a look at the TV episodes to find out.

Season 5, Episode 18: Meet the Quagmires

The guys are drinking at the Clam, as Quagmire talks about a recent date and a mysterious fourth hole (“but you gotta believe that it’s there”). Peter says that he’s envious of single guys, with their partying and no families; he complains that when he was eighteen, he was dating Lois and never got to be wild… except for the time he rode the mechanical bull at that bar… “Oh my god, how embarrassing! Look how much fun I am!”

Peter feels as though he missed out on half of his life, and wants to go back to being eighteen again. Shortly after, the TV set in the bar cuts out, so Horace goes up a ladder to try to fix it, before falling off and looking pretty injured. “Oh my God, is he dead?! I think he might be dead!” Enter Death: “oh, did you hear that? Noah Wyle here thinks he might be dead. Step aside, junior.” Luckily, Horace is just knocked out, but Peter takes the opportunity to ask Death if he can travel back in time and be eighteen again. “What are you, high? No!” But to avoid watching women’s professional anything, Death agrees to take Peter back, just for one night.

When Peter and Brian arrive at the Newport Country Club in 1984 (where Peter was a towel boy), they’re greeted by ‘80s Cleveland and his ridiculously long ‘slap five’ routine: “slap me five, slap me ten, round the side, and back again, up high, down low, now over by the diving board… now on the other side of the pool… alright, now I want you to meet me at this address in an hour and we’ll slap five there, then afterwards we’ll hit the bars.”

Peter is looking forward to going out and living wild, saying “we are gonna raise more hell than Hellraiser!” Cue Pinhead and his girlfriend eating dinner at the table, while Pinhead tries to hold in a mischievous laugh: “Hey honey, you want some salt for your steak?” “Yeah, sure.”

“Ahaha, gotcha! That’s more salt than you wanted!” An unscrewed salt shaker… truly evil… The rest of the episode focuses on Peter altering the timeline, causing Quagmire to marry Lois instead. Peter then tries to turn things back to normal and succeeds… kind of…

There you have it, a quick appearance in a cutaway gag, and Pinhead is in our games. What do you think of Pinhead? Will you purchase him, or have you already? Wish he had his lines from the episode (I know I’d like to hear the cheeky “Ahaha, gotcha!”)? Glad they decided to bring him in?
