TinyCo dropped yet another Challenge on us. As I again already have this Character in my game, I will just cover the Basic Information of how it breaks down.
There will now be a Challenge in the game to get the Costume of Ghostbuster Peter into your game.
Similar to other returning Costumes from last year, it will depend on what YOU got last year in your game on whether or not you will see these pop up.
First up, the game requirements for being able to see this Challenge:
- You do NOT have Ghostbuster Peter already
- You have successfully entered the complete Phase 2 Content of the Event (FYI, Ghostbuster Quagmire should be popping up now. Patch was sent)
- This will NOT appear if you have time left on Slutty Cat Meg OR Ghostbuster Quagmire Challenges. Once complete it’ll appear.

There you go. Another quick Challenge dropped into our Death at the Drive-in Event bringing back a Character Costume from last year’s Halloween.

I had gotten all 16 vampires no problem. The only problem I ran into is that death was working on his last job for the ghostbuster Peter outfit and his timer finished before the event timer ended but I couldn’t start my game in time to tap his checkmark and get the outfit! I really wanted the ghostbuster Peter outfit but looks like it wasn’t meant to be.

Did some people not see the first mystery box when it was available? A number of people (both here and elsewhere online) seem to be asking where Cleveland and Joe’s Ghostbuster outfits are. I thought that this mystery box might have made a return when the new one was released yesterday. I wonder if they actually do plan on rereleasing it? It would not be fair if their outfits were now made free through a quest line, when some of us had to spend clams to get them.
Also, did you mention that the 16 vampires needed for Ghostbuster Peter’s costume was changed? As after obtaining 11 vampires, no vampires spawned in my town for over 5 hours. I finally had to spend over 150 clams so that more would spawn (because even when I tried to spawn them from the screen, they still did not want to appear). I didn’t have much more time left to wait around and keep hoping that more would come (when none had for hours). I really wanted Peter’s outfit so I could complete the set, though for me, in the end it definitely was not free.

You know what’s funny is that I didn’t have this challenge as I have all the characters from last Halloween, but I’ve been getting a ton of vampires lately.

1. The vampires for Ghostbuster Peter hit for me at 12. Didn’t need all 16. Glitch?
2. How do I get Joe & Cleveland Ghostbusters?
3. New movie says it will start playing when I hit level 17, but I’m at Max level. What happens next?

I finished both quag and peter, being i dont have any of the skins since i am newer i figured joe and clevland quests would come up too…. but they havent at least not yet

Just a hint for everyone after my mistake that cost me clams to get him, you’ll need vampires, and they only come out just so often. The mission is timed so keep some running around in your town so you have them when you need them! I wrote to Tinyco about this, too. And the timed missions that I can’t do because my concession stand only has icecream cones now! Hope this helps someone!

Mine has changed from 16 vampires to 6. Only problem is, I’ve already cleared 12, but the task still won’t complete. I’ve messaged TinyCo about it and attached a screen shot to that message. Hopefully, they will be able to do something about it. Still about 35 minutes to go before the timer runs out. I’ve checked for an update in the Amazon App Store and restarted the game and my Kindle. I’ll be upset if I don’t get Ghostbuster Peter.

I had the same thing happen and sent the same kind of message, screenshot attached. Could you let me know what they say if they get back to you? (I’ll do the same). Bummed this happened because it took a lot of work to complete the tasks. I wonder if it’s even possible for them to put it in our games after the fact..

I sent a message to tinyco a couple hours ago about the vampire requirement being impossible. I came back into my game, cleared one of the two vampires that spawned and got ghostbuster Peter! I also saw a response from TinyCo that the vampire task was reduced!
Not sure if this is the same for everyone but go check your game

On the one hand I’m happy they decreased the vampires to 6 so more people could get the costume but on the other I’m annoyed I had to check the game every 2 hours for vampires that never appeared even when I tried to speed them up at the movie screen XD at least I got the costume heh 🙂

I contacted TinyCo about the vampire spawning rate, and they told me they changed the requirements. I checked, and they decreased the number needed to 6, so check and see if you have them and go to Als and create him before the time runs out, as it takes 10 minutes! Good Luck!

I had about 4.5 hours left to clear 6 more vampires, with no vampires spawning. Then about an hour later, 4 vampires spawned and I cleared 2 of them and unlocked the Ghostbuster Peter skin.

Just got a message from support: Vampire requirement has been set down to 6.
It shows that I now have 8/6 though, so I probably still need to hit one vampire to trigger completion

They reduced the amount of vampires required to 6!!! Now mine says 8/6 and still hasn’t recognized that it should be completed by now, but I’m sure that”’ be remedied soon. Thanks TinyCo!!!
This event has been crazy frustrating at times, but it’s great to know you listen & adjust!

I had 4 hours left and 8 vampires left to go for Peter. Perhaps it was a glitch, I don’t know, but I was granted the skin after clicking on my 10th vampire. Yay!

Of course, shortly after posting here and contacting TinyCo, the remaining vampires spawned. It’s probably just coinscidence, but I’ll give my post here credit. 🙂

The number of vampires required have been reduced. I wrote a support ticket and they replied with that. I don’t know the new number though cause it auto completed the quest when I logged in since I already had the new amount.

was struggling as well with only 3 hrs left and still needed 8 more vampires. however 2 suddenly appeared in my town and when i tapped on the first one the mission completed itself so looks like tinyco is aware of the problem

Hey all! Just to let you know that I just got Peter’s Ghostbusters costume without clearing 16 vampires.
I don’t know if TinyCo updated the quest seeing how little vampires were spawing.
I only had 2h left and had only cleared 8 vampires so I knew I couldn’t get the costume in time. There were 2 vampires walking around my town so I cleared them and as soon as I did it, it completed the quest and I could craft Peter’s costume.
Has anyone else gotten the same thing as me?

Im glad they fixed it! Too bad I had to buy and spend clams to get all of those vampires. I almost ran out of time and had no choice. I wish they’d refund my clams. Oh well…at least I got him! I guess all of our requests helped!

I just received the ingame message, that the vampire requirement has been lowered.
Since I used all of my clams to speed up spawning vamps I had just finished the quest, so I dont know hohe many vampires are needed now…

I collected 8 vampires only and got the costume, maybe they lowered the amount.

Looks like they changed the number of vampires needed for Ghostbuster Peter. I had only 8/16 and when I logged in a little while ago it was suddenly showing a count of 8/6. And when I clicked one vampire I got the costume.
Lucky thing too cause I had only 4 hours left.
