Quest for Stuff Quick Walkthroughs: Football Fever Week 2

Hello There Clammers!

It’s football time in Quahog!  Time to bust out the cheeseheads, pom poms, foam fingers and body paint and get ready for some football!

Week 2 is full of rival fans (being from NY area I must say…stupid Boston fans 😉 ), more football superstars, character skins, touchdowns and frustrating rate drops…ah just another day in our Tiny Quahogs…..

Of course to help guide you along with the second week TinyCo has provided a fun (and yes at times frustrating) little questline.  This is designed to help explain how the event works, as well as encourage you to earn more materials to unlock characters and prizes.  So let’s take a look at the details behind the week 2 questline and just what you’ll need to do to move onto the next phase when it hits next week…

  1. I would like to say, if I actually manage to get silly ninny Peter, I will have 1 hour till end of play to get through both games 7&8, wow! And up to Friday, I thought I was doing well… Really wanted to upgrade my Jesus from 1 clam to 2 as well. . not quitting, but lost all hope. I have paid some clams to help finish other tasks early too. 😢

  2. I’m having problems seeing my other main questlines. After I’ve done questlines on game pt 11, nothing else pop up. Only the small questlines pop up. Is there a reason why

    • What District are you in? What Characters from the Event do you have unlocked? Are the Characters needed for the next part free from tasks?

      • Hey bunny,
I am in district 8. I unlock Chris jersey, Rob and Sherman. I’m working on game 4 now.
All my character are free to move from the next step. But neither Chris or peter is giving me the task to move on to game on pt 12

        • Hmmmm very odd. Make sure Peter is free and not doing anything… then try a few steps… Try going to Ollie Land and back. If that doesn’t work, exit the game and restart your device. Also double check your game in the App Market is on Version 1.17.5

… just to progress on this, it is the only thing I can do whilst waiting for energy drinks…

  4. does Fit Brian have his own questline after unlocking him??

  5. Couldn’t Peter or Mort or Jerome or Quagmire help with energy drinks since wrenches and helmets are moot by that point in the game when players need energy drinks? Even if it’s a 12-16-24 hr task, it SURE would help! Just a thought! 🙂

  6. Anyone have game 5 unlocked? What do you need to win game 5?

  7. I’m not talking about the radius being larger, but using it to to be able to move it around instead of by a microscopic Ball Pitcher or Football Tackler. The hit box to move it around is to tiny. I press my finger on one of them and it rarely if ever registers. I just give up and pick an area where a bunch are and click or wait until one stops moving to hit him twice.

  8. So the only way to get energy drinks (until I get fit Brian which is gonna take a while cuz of gloves) is a 10 hour task for Richard Sherman. thats hard enough, but What I don’t understand is I also have needed Richard Sherman to make a one handed catch (4 hrs) pretty much every 10 yards to progress down the field.. I really don’t get how I’m supposed to get energy drinks and progress down the field. I can only do one or the other, but gotta do both to progress in the game. I don’t know. I’m just confused.

    • Totally agree, all the other stuff is dropping fine so far for me but I am now in game five and still have zero energy drinks, I sent this guy on the task only once but I am afraid to do it more often as I am sure he will then pop up as a requirement in the ‘progress field’ task. This is a total catch 22 and I don’t know when I can get game five done which is a shame as everything else was going really well…!

      Like

      • Yeah this phase started 6 days ago and I’ve only been able to collect four energy drinks. FOUR. I’ve sent Sherman on that 10 hour task a bunch of times, but he doesn’t even drop them more than half the time. It’s bad. I knew it would be hard, but I didn’t think it would be completely unattainable. I’m just gonna do the best I can, but I don’t think I’ll even be able to get Cheerleader Bonnie before the event ends, let alone football Jesus. I had high hopes when the first phase rolled out that if I played very often and spent a few (not a ton) clams, I might be able to get him, but it’s not gonna happen.

        • Keep going as the drops have been changing the last few days. Both on Energy Drinks and items from the Football Field. I try to tell Players that this game is NOT predictable at all. TinyCo uses what I call a “step” program for many things. That includes drops. What is valid today may be changed tomorrow. For instance, in the Football Field people started with just one of an item dropping, but now seeing 2 and at times 3 of a Material drop. Fit Brian started with one Energy Drink on his drop, now he drops 2. A lot of older Characters now drop Materials due to the New Mystery Box.

This game can be hard for Players not used to that kind of “step” method and not being able to calculate every step from start to finish from day one, so it can seem daunting. Just keep playing and see where it takes you. Don’t let one days stats cause you too much worry as tomorrow it can all change. 😉

  9. Having the same Glove problem, tying up characters for 4 hours, to earn jerseys, then another 2 hrs wait only to get coins is really frustrating. Then realizing that I now have to wait another 2 hrs to get more jerseys & another 2 hrs to craft, only to get coins again. 10 hours of nothing for a “common” item, Cam is the only one providing me with gloves. I was actually enjoying this event (Not a Football Fan) but that is quickly changing as frustration replaces fun. A big THANK YOU to Bunny & the Addicts… (would be a cool band name!) …for letting us know what actions to have already started for whenever the Family Guy Quest gods decide to bless us with a drop.

  10. TinyCo needs to add more characters to get Jerseys. Having 2 characters on a 4 hour task and then wait 2 more hours to turn them into Football Players to get Gloves takes too long. It takes 10 hours if I only get 1 Jersey at a time. Players should be cycling through Jerseys, so that by 4 hours you have more to process. 2 more characters would be good.

TinyCo also needs to make the hit box for moving the Football Player larger. It too tiny to move with it only being that little character. We should move it by the targeting radius.

    Like

    • My thoughts on this … it needs to be small due to as soon as another Player walks by it, it will swap to them. With you having to hit the same one twice and it switching the 2nd one to the wrong guy… it ticks you off. I am worried a larger radius will make this even worse.

      Like

    • I agree, and the drop rate is supposed to be uncommon. More like extremely rare. Way too hard to get them.

      Like

    • The guy who you win after game three also drops jerseys (I finally managed to reach this point).

  11. Should I just unlock gronk? He’ll take all my helmets and weights frm game 3. I just feel already like I may not even get as far as Bonnie. And if you want to you have to leave gronk locked but you now need x2 jerseys for one glove and u need gloves to advance on field. The books and the weights are impossible to stock up on , getting gronk, Bonnie, Jesus, Richard Sherman and Brian skin is probably really really hard to do freemium.

  12. I know Lois pays off with jerseys. Does anyone else ? I can’t find my answer in the info section on the game.

    Like

  13. So serious question for everyone… Is your Lois actually dropping jerseys, or is she like mine and is like 0 for 4-5? I ask because Bruce has dropped them reliably, but Lois has yet to drop even ONE of these ‘common’ items…

  14. I’m crashing more than ever, just when the last one was fixed, I can’t even load my game now…crashing….they really dropped the ball on this event..and in the mere seconds I was able to get on, I spent clams to open items and then it crashes, but I don’t get reimbursed what I spent…what a scam

  15. Can we not earn Pom poms until AFTER we win game three? I’ve gotten over 5 first downs with the ‘chance’ of earning pom poms with each down, but nothing but play books and weights so far. I still haven’t Richard Sherman, but I hope I do by tonight or super late/early morning ~ 4am, lol. Just wondering why I can’t stock up on Pom poms to help expedite winning game four when it becomes available….thank you for all your help! 🙂

    Like

    • As Pom Poms are not “needed” until you unlock Game 4, no.

      Like

    • On the plus side I think they have made weights into an ‘always’ drop when advancing on the football field because I got about ten in a row rather than before where they alternated and then only dropped every now and then. So that’s good!

  16. How does one get the jerseys ? I seem to have missed that one.

  17. Unfortunately for me, everything was going pretty smooth until the gloves came in, tackle 6 of them and got nothing. Thats a shame, i was really happy for this first week of the game until it all got… like always. I had a choice between winning the second game or unlocking rob. Should of gotten rob.

  18. I sure hope they add another character or task for obtaining energy drinks, as until you get Fit Brian, the only way to earn them is a 10 hour task with Richard Sherman, and they are not always drops, so the most you can get is two a day, and you need 37 to get through this weeks tasks to get Bonnie.

Thanks for getting the walkthroughs up, and when it comes to the various quest-lines, I do not even bother with them until I have the characters and finished the main line that is needed to move forward. I do the other lines after, or if the timing is right, you don’t have to do anything and they end up getting done anyway! *chuckle*

    Like

    • Totally agree on the Energy Drinks, I haven’t had a single one drop yet either, plus with what you need to get Fit Brian I don’t see being able to get him until Monday at the earliest, leaving 4 days to get Bonnies outfit unlocked. I’m thinking about sending them an in game message to ask if they could consider adding a few more ways to earn them, be it through character actions, or from progressing up the football field.

      Like

    • And without her you most likely will not be able to advance to next phase as her shake Pom poms task is required for part 14 of main questline.

  19. Is the gloves a random drop from tacking football players just did one and all I got was coins? If this is the case won’t progress at all in the game just too time consuming 4 hour task to random drop jerseys takes 1 hour to make and you need 2 to complete for a random chance so.. Took me 8 hours to get 3 jerseys using all 3 characters 2 hours to make jerseys to use 2 of them to tackle player and to get coins and no gloves wow…

    Like

    • Yes, that is why the main post as well as the pop up when you tap on it says “Chance”. Also if you tap on the Glove Icon itself, you will see it is tagged as “Common”

      Like

      • It may be tagged as common, but it’s dropping more like an uncommon, or even a rare. I’ve managed to get enough jerseys (which THEMSELVES don’t drop nearly often enough) to tackle 3 players…and have gotten 1 set of gloves.

        Like

      • I’m skeptical that Jerseys and Gloves are Common. I sent Lois and Bruce to get them and got nothing from both the first time and then its either one or the other.

I’m currently stuck at getting 2 gloves, which has put my progress to a grinding halt. I was gaining downs every few hours yesterday and now because of Jerseys I haven’t moved all day. 😦

        Like

  20. You really need to run spell check before posting these. You misspelled “awesome” Boston fans as “stupid”. Pretty embarrassing.

Jerseys wouldn’t drop for me at all. Wish I knew what players were coming up the following weeks so I know if I care or not.

    • Brett Favre is the last of the players lineup shown on the FaceSpace layout. He made an appearance in my game in a conversation with Fit Brian, but I guess he won’t drop into the game for real on till the last week of the event. Maybe he will drop pizzas as he’s in one of the new Papa John’s commercials.

    • Seems as though Brett Favre is the only player remaining according to the face space. Though they could always add an extra you never know
