STAR TREK CHARACTERS/COSTUMES
The ONLY Character/Costumes released in Phase 1 are either in the Shopping Cart Menu or you will need to Unlock a specific District in Phase 1 in order to gain access to them. Any NOT listed are NOT in the game currently for purchase or earning.
Starfleet Peter: Start the New Event, go to Al’s in Quahog to see what he needs
Starfleet Human Rupert: Go to Al’s from Quahog to purchase the Costume for Clams
Vulcan Quagmire: Unlock The Bridge and go to Harrington’s to see what he needs
Klingon Chris: Unlock Ten Forward and go to Harrington’s to see what he needs
Deanna Troi: Unlock Ten Forward, Place her into the game from Shopping Cart Menu, Collect her Materials to Unlock her
Beverly Crusher: Unlock Sick Bay, Place her into the game from Shopping Cart Menu, Collect her Materials to Unlock her
Edo Herbert: Unlock Sick Bay and go to Harrington’s to see what he needs
Worf, Guinan, Seven of Nine: Purchase for Clams in the Shopping Cart Menu
WORF NOT DROPPING ALWAYS
I have noticed as well as others that at times Worf’s Task, Eat Rokeg Blood Pie, to drop Communication Badges was not dropping Always as noted. I did report this and am waiting for more information on it. Please also report it if you see this happening in your game.
UPDATE 2/16– Issue repaired. If you still see him not dropping Always, please report it right away.
ERROR MESSAGE
Thanks to our awesome readers… here is the screenshot of the error.
I have seen a few reports now from Players seeing an odd error message in their game (send me a screenshot if you see this to familyguyaddicts@gmail.com so I have the image). The Error reported is “somehow attempting to latch character Lois who is unlatchable” and at times another Character name. I did report this and they are requesting those that see this message contact them via your in game messaging or email if you can’t get into your game.
UPDATE 2/16- They are still working in this, keep reporting in if you see it.
GIANT TRIBBLE DOES NOT WALK
There was a Bubble on the Pop Up for the Ouranus Mystery Box stating the Giant Tribble “Walks”. This is incorrect. The lil mini Tribbles are Walking Decorations, however the Giant Tribbles are just stationary and do not move from their spot (though they are animated and make a Tribble sound when tapped). This has been reported and should be resolved soon.
UPDATE 2/16- This has been resolved and pop up now shows “Animated”
LATINUM IN REPLICATOR
Under the “Earn Latinum” in the Climb the Leaderboard Pop Up, it said that Latinum can be gathered through the Replicator. I have not as of yet found anything that drops it, unless it won’t be released until Phase 2. I asked TinyCo for clarification on this if it is available and will update once I get the details. Otherwise I will see what Phase 2 offers.
UPDATE 2/16– Here is the complete list of HOW Latinum drops in the Replicator. Essentially this is what you will have paid out when you complete creating the items. Note: items are a one time thing this Event.

GAME CRASHING WITH STARFLEET PETER
I still am seeing just a few Players stating that they can’t send Starfleet Peter on his first task for the Event. If you have tried all the Basics already and nothing is working, please message TinyCo from your game. In the meantime, they stated patches are coming to the game soon in an update that should help resolve some of these issues.
UPDATE 2/16- App Update Version 1.18.5 will be out soon to help. In the meantime, like noted in the first “issues” post, travel to Enterprise to send him on the task. Or any other Star Trek Character that has the issue in Quahog.

In the process of gathering stuff to unlock Data. But he’s not on the Enterprise, he’s laying in the streets of my Qhahog! Though while tapping on the Enterprise I did hear his voice once. Don’t see him anywhere though and don!t know exactly where I tapped. I remember in the original event he was in the Holodeck when you first unlocked the district.

Hey Bunny. I got Handsome Peter from the Love Ouuta This World Mystery Box. But in Al’s he has a lock over top of his head and says to “unlock Peter Griffin to use it” . Peter is not on any task of anything- he’s available. So I don’t know what I’m supposed to do? I also won Glenda Vagmire and it’s saying the same thing about unlocking Quagmire… Any ideas?

Hey Bunny, I figured it out and I’m just gonna post how here so that if anyone else is having this problem they can try this.. I made sure Peter and Quagmire were in Quahog (not on the Enterprise) and force closed my game. Doing that alone DID NOT work. But then, I sent Peter and Quagmire on their 1 minute tasks (Peter-surf the bird/Quagmire-raid panties) THEN force closed my game WHILE they were doing those tasks, and opened it back up. When I opened it back up, both the costumes were now marked off. I didn’t get the 25 clam reward for finishing Peter’s costume box w/ Handsome Peter, but I will message Tiny Co. about that.

I just got banned from the leadeboard after realising (and abusing) that I could get more than one Pod Plant from the replicator and the Latinum Bars that come with it.
I could tell that other people on the leaderboard had figured out this aswell.

A few of the Questlines are having issues. Make sure you are on the latest App Market Version 1.18.5 of the game and hang in there as more patches are coming. They are just side Questlines and not critical

It seems ‘All the Way Bare Pt. 2’ is bugged and I don’t see it in ‘Known Issues’. I found a reddit post with several people having the same problem. I’ve “completed” this quest several times (even spent clams) and it doesn’t clear.

Depends on your device. Google you usually have to expand the More Info area in the App Page on the App Market and scroll to see it. On iOS it is usually at the very bottom.
Like I already responded to others in the comments… Edo Herbert has another patch coming to help. It is just a side questline, so don’t worry about it right now.

Any idea if anyone at TinyCo is aware of this bug? Lots of people are having this problem. I submitted a message in-game to support 24 hours ago and they have yet to even acknowledge anyone has even read it.

I’m sorry if you respond to this on another thread and I missed up, but how come some of the characters voices have changed some of them are completely different some of them were just missing a few and some of them are the same Star Trek Joe just talks like regular Joe he doesn’t do the beeps, any knowledge on this? I miss Khan and Kirk already 😦

Some voices were originally pulled for the TV series and later changed to a voice instead. Some may have only be on “release” for a specific time. Others may have glitched. Then there’s just phrases that you may not have heard before ad each had about 12 and many only heard 5 or 6 of them overall.

Hey Bunny, so i’ve tried placing the items that i earned from the replicator last star trek event and i don’t get any latinums from them. How do i get these latinums?
This explains why i’ve gone down over 1600 places in the leaderboard now, it’s because everyone else is getting the latinums and i’m not….should i be getting these latinums even if i earned them last star trek event????

No. You got rewards for them last event that helped you during the original Star Trek. Those same Buildings are now dropping items to help you this Event too without having to recreate them.
Only brand new items earn the Latinum, however its gonna take New Players a while to earn Material to just make one item let alone several. FYI… I highly highly doubt it is “New Players” that are causing your drop. Just like any other Leaderboard, they’re flooded with Premium Players and Players from last Event that have the advantages to have drops from several Characters for Phaser Battles as well as not have to create the Characters you own that help with Away Missions.
Overall, no matter what drops where or who has what… only CLAMS will jump the Leaderboards and hold the top spots. The end. 🙂

It’s not the buildings that’s causing the issues it’s the items (decos) like the Romulan Symbol Statue where in your post it says it should pay out 26 latinums, Klingon Symbo Statue says it should pay 23 latinums. As an “old player” to this event i already have these things, so how is fair that “new players” can earn these from the replicator and in turn earn latinums, but the “old players” get them out of inventory, place them in our towns but I haven’t seen any latinums.
That’s why i was saying the “new players” are leap frogging me because they are earning all these latinums from the replicator but I can’t get those as my inventory items (the same as what is in the replicator this round) is not paying out.
Does that all make sense???

It does… but again… you’re missing the point. Those items ALREADY helped you last event and now this one by helping get other Material Drops for items like the Phaser Battles and the Away Missions. Same with your Characters from last event. Is it fair to new players you already are getting all those items NOW when they have to completely collect and unlock EVERY SINGLE ONE to even make a difference.
How long did it take you to create ALL those items last Event? 5 to 6 weeks? Now you think by some miracle without having it all from last event that a new player can get them all in 2?
Instead of thinking it’s “so unfair” to you… look at it from a New Players perspective. YOU have the leg up here not them.
Example. I have it all last Event. So I have TONS of Characters and Buildings giving me Material Drops for Away Missions and Phaser Battles. Collection these drops over a week… I just used Last Year’s items to jump me from 24 Latinum to now almost 600. Is that fair to a new player? I highly doubt they’re even close to being able to get where I am nor you too.
Like I said, complaining and arguments will get you no where. It’s NOT New Players that will dominate the Leaderboards. Last Year’s Players and Premiums will. Mainly Premiums. Sorry, but again… cold hard facts from EVERY SINGLE LEADERBOARD to date.
If you’re willing to return EVERYTHING you got last Event including Characters and start all over again as a New Player, I’d think your image of “fair” wouldn’t be the same. You’d see what I’m telling you and just how incorrect it is to say those items aren’t helping you. Building and Characters both.
The Replicator is ONE spot to get them. There are still away missions and Phaser battles. Replicator is ONE time payout. Away Missions and Phaser Battles are unlimited.

No offence but if you flip it around, is it fair to all the “old players” that we don’t get any of the latinums for these items. I’ve calculated this and i should have 370 latinums just from the replicator items, plus the 188 i’ve earned but instead i only have 188. Now the “new players” have a leg up when it comes to the leaderboards, not us. I’m not complaining or arguing, instead i’m just pointing out how the “new players” have a leg up as they are earning latinums and I’m not. No one is starting on a fair level playing field here, i have the buildings yes but they have the advantage of the leaderboards, plus the amount of items you have to earn for the buildings and characters this event is no where near what we had to earn but then again we had 5 weeks they have 2. Regardless, they it’s not a level playing field when you compare the two….

But again you’re calculating IF they get every single item. If you’ve paid attention to comments on drops… that is HIGHLY unlikely.
Overall…again… PREMIUM Players will dominate the Leaderboards regardless of anything else. So again … it won’t matter in the end.

How are you getting a latnium advantage from shady having all the chars? None of the ones the new players don’t have access to drop communicators, go on away missions, drop photons, or drop latnium.
I’m playing every two hours and I’ve spent a ton of clams to buy three big packs of photons and I still don’t even have 300 latnium.
What am I missing?
Every time I get three photons I take out a Borg cube for three. Every time I get 4 communicators I send Chris and Peter and they almost always bring back 15 latnium, but even though it’s a two hour trip I can only do it **** the times a day since it takes that long to get four communicators.
With a max of 10 available to me from the replicator, how can I even compete for the only new content?

With your Clam spending, I may suggest to focus MORE on the Away Missions then the Phaser Battles. Seems more for your buck there. 14 vs 3 or 4 here n there is so much better.
Let me break it down a bit more and you can see how a Last Year had advantage right away vs New Players.
Worf drops Comm Badges & Deanna Troi drops Comm Badges(Away Missions). Guinan drops Photon Torpedoes & Vulcan Quagmire drops Photon Torpedoes & Starfleet Peter drops Gamma Rays and Photon Torpedoes (Phaser Battles). Klingon Chris, Starfleet Peter, & Vulcan Quagmire can all go on Away Missions.
Then there are the Buildings with same regard, instant drops for last Event Players vs New Players again having to collect and create them one by one before they even get access to the drops. As I keep saying, last years Players started the Event ahead of EVERY New Player. We could jump right in. Many of them are still barely making one or two Characters on the Enterprise so far.
Starfleet Academy (Photon Torpedoes) Starfleet Research Facility (Comm Badge) Starfleet Medical Center (Gamma Ray) Bat’leth Badassery (Comm Badge) T’Plana Hath (Comm Badge)
This is just a few examples of drops all over the game for seasoned Players. Several had multiple of those Buildings too. Those of us playing last Event had pretty much INSTANT access to all those drops vs New Players will have to buy and/or create every single costume, building, ect in order to have that same access to those drops… placing them behind us in their access to the Basics. Creating items in the Replicator, as we all now, takes time. Characters too. Took us 5 to 6 weeks to do it. They have 2 to see what they get.
Also… like I repeat so much I might as well have a crawling banner on the screen of the site always going… “LEADERBOARDS ARE OVERRUN BY PREMIUM PLAYERS”. No matter how much you try to add, argue, think about, try to understand… in the end… if you do not spend Clams, a LOT of Clams. you will NOT get the Top Prizes in the Leaderboards. You may get lucky and get a lower one, but not the top. Trying to keep up with those in the lead, well… I hope you have thousands of Clams to do so as that is what it will take. Leaderboards are nothing but a Premium Play. Elite Premium even. Sad but it’s so very true. You are competing with very very very deep pocketed Players. I don’t like to spend more than 200 on a Character. It sickens me to think others spend thousands for a “Chance” at one. Not worth it.
As far as gaining Latinum, once I cleared the Kittens on the Questline… it seems I am getting 14 Latinum now 85-95% of trips to Terra Boberra. Plus some from the Borg Cube Planet too. Then the Phaser Battles Borg Cubes are paying out, just not as much. I spend Clams. LOTS N LOTS N LOTS of Clams to pull stats for the site and test things out. So, I spent Clams to test how fast I can get Latinum from 10 Away Missions. Latinum dropped all but 2 times. Clams will get you everywhere in this Event and I can guarantee those leading the Leaderboards… spent a lot of Clams and/or had a lot of Clam Buildings from the Previous Event.
I know it is harsh that the ONLY new stuff is on the Leaderboards, but I just don’t think the Clam spending required to hold a position there is worth it. I would rather take a break and save my Clams for a full new Event… or at least see what Phase 2 drops in.

What do you mean none of the buildings the new players don’t have access to drop communicators? The Bat’leth Badassery.. They have to save up to buy that from the replicator first before they can even start collecting communicators.. Same with T’plana Hath.. AND Deanna Troi… They have to collect a bunch of stuff for her too. We already had all that stuff. 3 out of the 4 possible drops- we already had. And they didn’t. I probably collected 10-15 communicator badges (at least) before new players could even collect one…..

Hey Bunny, can you clarify something for me on the latinums please? It says you can earn them from the replicator, but since i played last time i have all the items except two.
I read a few days ago that the replicator is not paying out latinums, although the in game messaging says it is.
Is the replicator supposed to be paying out latinums? If so, how do the players who played this last time get them??? Or am i confused??

Well after checking this list and the amount of Latium I should have based on the replicator buildings I’ve built so far, it’s enough to get me from off the leader boards entirely to within the top 1000 to get Bertram. I’ve emailed tiny Co in game to see if they will make the adjustments (as they can easily see all the replicated items in my game and how many Latium in my account were earned from planet Terra boberra trips and phaser battles only) I wonder how many others are missing hundreds of Latium bars as a result or the replicator not paying out properly. I just hope tiny Co makes it right. I really do want Bertram in my game!

Just an FYI… as I do not want you to get a “shock” at the end. If you are playing Freemium… I can pretty much almost guarantee you will NOT be in the top spots of the Leaderboards. The Leaderboards are essentially filled with Premium Players. Usually Freemiums can squeak out 3rd and in rare cases 2nd place… but 1st will ALWAYS be nothing but Premiums.
People tend to spend THOUSANDS of Clams to keep those top spots. Go for it if you want, just wanted you to know the cold hard facts. 😉

i’ve dropped off about 1600 places as a result of everyone else earning latinums from the previous star trek event replicator. I haven’t earned any latinums from the previous star trek event either. I kept wracking my brain trying to figure out how i dropped off so much…this is why, people have been earning latinums as they get them.

As I continually keep saying… it is NOT New Players kicking you off. It is Premium Clam Players that have done the exact same since Leaderboards dropped. Clams will rule the Leaderboards no matter how much you try to argue it. Cold hard fact. It’s why I call them a “Premium Side Option”… thousands upon thousands of Clams are spent to hold positions in it.

It’s possible people are dropping so much in Leaderboard spots because some players have become aware of a certain exploit.

I attempted to clear a Borg, with Quagmire, and then set him on Release the Tribble (wrong) task.
I returned to Quahog and I double checked the count, for dead Borgs, which was 0. To my amazement Quagmire, Peter and the different rooms had all been reset to awaiting collection? I cleared all these and tasked Quagmire to kill another Borg.
Really unsure why the game reset itself, had allowed enough time for the new tasks to start, before leaving.

Sounds like you have a save issue going on. Could be low RAM. Take some steps to help that by troubleshooting linked under “Crashing & Lagging”.
In the meantime, visit Ollie’s before you leave to ensure the game progress is being synced and saved.

On my 2 freemium accounts the latinum drops were not working correctly early on. I replicated most of the buildings and didn’t get anything. Today I replicated a few more and got them.
Now my Freemiums have more Latinums than my premium…

Oops, I bought the Klingon Forehead Clinic a couple days ago- before anything from the replicator was dropping Latinum lol It was one of the few things I didn’t already have from last time 😦

I don’t think the list of latinum rewards is correct.
I started playing midway through the mobsters event, so I missed out on the Star Trek event and thus everything is new to me (yay TinyCo for giving newer players a chance at some awesome content we missed!) and I had the full menu of replicator items. I have been concentrating on getting the buildings, because those give an ROI, and have so far bought Klingon Temple, Bat’leth Badassery, Klingon Forehead Clinic, T’Plana Hath, and Vulcan High Command. By the given list of latinum rewards, I should have won 121 latinum from these items alone, in addition to latinum won from shooting Borg ships and other tasks. However, I only have 37 latinum, and I’m pretty sure I got all of those from the other tasks. So either the replicator is giving out much smaller amounts of latinum, or it’s not giving out any at all. At the moment, anyway–everything’s subject to change!

About the Latinum drops..
I just read in this post: Note: items are a one time thing this Event.
I have collected 2 items so far, during this event, Picard’s Fencing Arena & Bronze Bertram Statue, total of 16 Latinum Bars.
I already have every item from the list, from the previous Star Trek Event, excluding the last 2, Giant Tribble (Brown) & Vulcan Floor, each worth 5 Latinum.
Does this mean new players can gather a total of 370 Latinum Bars just from the Replicator? While I only can gather max 26 Latinum Bars?
Or did I misunderstand something from translating/tiredness?
Just wondering if it’s worth trying for the Leaderboard this Event..?

Think of it this way… how long last Event did it take you to get EVERYTHING you got? Now put yourself in a New Player’s shoes. How long will it take them to first Unlock Each District on the Enterprise to gain access to Characters, then to Unlock those Characters, then to earn all the needed Materials, then to try and craft one item let alone several.
Now think of YOUR advantage. You played last Event, so is it fair you may already have the Star Trek Characters needed to go on Away Missions right away to get Latinum, Characters/Buildings that are dropping all these Materials needed right now, etc etc etc??
There is a balance. Those of us that already played have access to Latinum NOW. New Players are going to have to work at getting access. It is all in how YOU play and see the game. 😉

This time I just won’t even be able again to put in as much effort like then.
So I guess that’s clearly a no for me for trying out for the leaderboard.

So my replicator doesn’t have any of the above items, I am assuming because I already got them in the previous event. Which means that I do not receive any Latium, which puts me at a huge disadvantage. Is TinyCo aware of this?

If you have it all, then you are already gaining a LOT of benefit over new Players on all the drops those items are already giving you. Not to mention the time it will take a new Player just to craft one of these items, let alone several. If you have all the Characters, you also can go on Away Missions to earn Latinum where as a new Player still has to unlock them all. I think your “disadvantage” isn’t quite what you think. 😉

Everyone will balance out eventually. Even if new Players get some now, that is it… that one time… then they go back to the grind.
Honestly… and I repeat this a MILLION TIMES EACH EVENT… do not stress on the Leaderboards. They are only a SIDE option of the game and up to you if you want to participate. However, if you want it ALL, regardless of who dropped what and when… then expect to pay a LOT of Clams. I am not even joking. I am talking a couple hundred dollars worth to get the top prize. People really do put way too much into them in my opinion. Is that REALLY worth it to you? REALLY? People complain if one Character costs over 200 Clams, but yet people will fight with thousands upon thousands of Clams for a “Chance” at a possible prize. Makes no sense.
Just really in my opinion not worth all the headache. Not in any way, shape, or form. NOTHING is worth that much for a “Chance”.
So you can argue “well they got this and I got that”… end of day… it will all come down to who spends the most Clams. The End. 😉

I participated in last year’s 1st Contact event. I own “a lot” of things , buildings etc. I received no lithium from them. I was and am especially disappointed over the borg cube I owned from last year. It doesn’t payout gamma rays. So I acquired a 2nd cube. It seems veteran players are not offered much new stuff. I have over 6000 pink pulsars and nothing to use them on. Except an item in the replicated. This is kind of a boring and unfair event for us longtime players. Please pass this on to TinyCo.

#1 & #2 player requests are bring back old events and give us a break.
I look at this as those requests being fulfilled. New players get their re-release. Seasoned can take a break.

I got nearly everything from the old star trek event. But I have only had 1 latinum drop from the terra boberra away mission. Catnip nearly everytime but no latinum. So despite my advantage of already having the characters and buildings, im still off the bottom of the leaderboard and the gap is growing daily. Nearly all my latinum is from shooting borg cubes.

Sometimes when I collect cat food it increases the count but the next time I log into the game the count is down one. I have collected five cans and it only shows three!

Watch your game closely then. Sounds like there may be a memory issue and your game is not syncing your game play. Try some basics for low memory and in the meantime try to visit Ollie’s before leaving the game to ensure your game progress is syncing up and saving.

Hey Bunny, I am on week one and I keep trying to unlock the holodeck but it just won’t unlock for me. It clearly says in all your information posts pertaining to the event that the holodeck won’t unlock until week two starts, but this week one and it just won’t unlock for me no matter what I try. Am I doing something wrong? 🙂

Thank the Tiny Gods! Just had a third unsuccessful drop from Jerome’s 24 hour task. And they were nice enough to actually stop the drop from the 24 hour task so the only one you see when re-assigning him is the two-hour task. This way nobody misses it.
I seem to be getting two pics from every batch of tribbles so far. They’re generous with photon torpedoes also. Sweet little furry blobs, I hope you are sent to a tribble spa and resort whenever you go poof. And that the poofed Borgs go to an entirely different vacation spot, I would worry about them trying to borgify you all. Borg Tribbles, oh my. Although the Borg kittens seem happy.

Anyone else seeing low drop rates for the latinum bars when sending Chris on an away missions?
I’ve sent him on 7 away missions all to the same spot and the 14 latinum bars show as high probability each but it’s dropped the latinum bars once which seems to be on a rare probability rate.
I’m not messaging TC because, quite frankly, i’m so sick of getting the same automated response about the rates being random blah blah. I don’t want to be all negative about TC but getting the same response, or even any response, is tiresome.

I’ve also noticed for Chris’s away mission it says high chance of latinum dropping I’ve sent him about 10 times and not a single time has it dropped any latinum

I notice when I send Chris on a mission to Terra Boberra he’s not dropping what it says there’s a chance of. When I send him it shows they likely chances of catnip and lithium but I am getting other stuff besides that. Can’t recall what off the top of my head but the last 2 times I’ve sent him this has happened…no catnip or lithium.

I just sent him again and it seemed to be back to normal. It wasn’t antimatter…also I am now trying unlock the Holodeck and it won’t let me. Says I need Data and I have him already from last time.

NO ONE can unlock the Holodeck. It is not available until Phase 2.

Game crashes each time I try to clear a kitten. Catnip moves to the left when tapped. When tapped a second time (to bring up the purple target area) the game crashes. Any ideas/suggestions?

I already had Worf from the previous event and for me his communicator drop rate is “rare”. For 260 clams it should be at least “common” I think, and since he was advertised as an “always” drop I totally unterstand everyone who is frustrated (again).

TinyCo did acknowledge this is a glitch they are working on. Have yet to hear back regarding compensation. Too many clams to not always get something as advertised.

I asked Tiny Co. about latinum not being dropped from replicator and got a reply that it’s a known issue and that they’re looking into it.

Ermmmmm…. to me at least, this will not be a good thing if so… Old players already have everything but Vulcan Floor. If latinum is supposed to drop from the 15 odd other items, old players would be at a serious disadvantage as far as latinum and the leaderboards.
Really hoping latinum is from Vulcan Floor only this week… crossing fingers on phase 2. 🙂

Not really. As an old player, I was able to use all my star trek characters without having to spend all the time and effort to earn their materials to create them. I also did not have to save enough of the blue things to open each of the areas before I could even start to grind the materials for the characters. If you were an old player who had all the star trek characters from the start, all you had to do was earn enough blue things to open 10 forward, and you could start the away missions. The new players have to grind to just earn the characters as well as just opening up the various districts to get to them. The old players are far from disadvantaged over the new payers, in fact, it is quite the opposite.
The real disadvantage of the leaderboards is how much money are you willing to throw away, I mean spend on skins and characters that are usually only useful for a couple weeks? If you don’t want to spend a couple hundred dollars, then you are not going to progress as far, and are not going to come close to the first tier prize, not likely to get the 2nd tier prize, and may have a shot at the third tier prize, but again, not really all that likely, because there are only 5000 people getting anything, and out of a million plus players, odds are not great for freemiums!

This is pretty typical in my XP with these types of games. The really good games give you a fair chance to unlock probably a good 85% of the items, and that remaining percentage is largely cosmetic stuff. Most of them are like though, and give you a massive advantage if you spend money. What makes FG stand out so much is the prices themselves. This is easily the most expensive premium content I’ve ever seen, given what the rewards are. I totally agree. If players are going to spend such exorbitant amounts of money for things, those things should have a much longer useful lifespan. Hell, even some of the characters IN the event are utterly useless for progression (other than a little bit of money and XP) once their certain quests of theirs are done.
That said, I’m a sucker for Family Guy, and anything Star Trek, so this event really has me questioning my sanity. I’ve spent money, not a small amount, and I’m around rank 550. I can’t even imagine how much the top 100 have spent. For sure it’s more than the cost of any AAA single-purchase game on the market.
I think it would smart of them to introduce a premium account upgrade. I’d pay $5 a month to have a leg-up. This game is fun. It’s just a money-sink if you want to experience more than about 20% of it.

Not sure if anyone else has this but every time I attempt to clear one of Captain Kirk’s tasks the game crashes. It’s the task where he fights a creature (apologies, can’t remember the name!). I’ve tried the usual troubleshooting tips and sent them a message.
