Star Trek: Second Contact Phase 2 Is LIVE!!

Hey there Romulans!

The second and Final Phase of the Re-released Star Trek Event is upon is. Lots more Characters, Buildings, and multiple other items returning with it.

SECOND CONTACT WILL END THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 25 @3PM PACIFIC

Captain Picard

First up, the Basic Requirements…

  • Players will need to have completed Star Trek: Second Contact Part 11 in order to move into all the Phase 2 Content
  • Players will need to be on Version 1.18.5 in the App Markets, so if you are not… go download it
  • Players will need to have at LEAST District 3 Unlocked and Al’s completed
  • Players will only see this on the Mobile App Version, not Windows Stand Alone
  • PLAY THE GAME! Items unlock in stages and as you progress, so if you do not see an item it is most likely you have not progressed far enough in the Main Questline to unlock it. Check details below for more specifics on unlock points.

Back with more in a bit…

KNOWN “ISSUES”

Just a quick update, if your game is still crashing with Starfleet Peter try only sending him on board the Enterprise. Otherwise if the 1.18.5 Update did not help, report it from your game.

Edo Herbert double questline as well as questline issues are known and another patch is coming for it. As it is a Side Questline, it is not critical right now for you to finish it… so just set it aside until resolved.

ENTERPRISE DISTRICTS

Just an FYI, you may have notice the amount of Gamma Rays needed to unlock the Holodeck and Engineering Bay have been greatly reduced.

Holodeck: Cost 20 Gamma RayGamma Rays

Engineering Bay: Costs 30Gamma Ray Gamma Rays

So should make it easier for Players to reach the areas and unlock them with the lowered amounts.

Items Created will first drop into Inventory, so you will need to go there to pull them out and into Quahog. FYI… in my game that has it ALL, I can see a lot of the items in Phase 2 in the Replicator now too. Feel free to make more if you want of an item.

WARNING: Those “abusing” the Replicator for “exploitation” I am seeing get banned on Leaderboards. Checking into it to see what TinyCo says.

BORG BETRAM

Clawed Borg Bertram

The “Boss” Battle is back in Phase 2. You will see Borg Bertram appear on board the Enterprise in the Holodeck area once you complete Star Trek: Second Contact Pt. 11. You can see how the Battle worked during the Star Trek Event last year HERE.

Similar to last Event, you will have multiple Characters that can attack and “DAMAGE” Borg Bertram at variable amounts. As you attack him and cause the Damage, he will weaken until his HP is fully drained, he will then go into a cool down period (4hrs), then return stronger and a bit harder to take out… but better Payout.

You will have 10 Hours to defeat him each time. If you do not, he will go into cool down (4hrs) and come back completely reset to the lowest strength. (It is best to keep him as high as possible for the best payouts possible.)

Borg Bertram Levels ***will update as I get more info***

Borg Bertram Heart Meter

Clawed Borg Bertram: Starts at 2HP, Earns 25 Anti- Matter & 4 Transparent Aluminum

Drill Master Borg Bertram: Starts at 4HP, Earns 50 Anti- Matter & 8 Transparent Aluminum

Laser Borg Bertram: Earns 125 Anti- Matter & 21 Transparent Aluminum

Bladed Borg Bertram: Earns 275 Anti- Matter & 46 Transparent Aluminum

Cannon Borg Bertram: Earns 625 Anti- Matter & 104 Transparent Aluminum

**He also paid out Latinum when I took him down, I am unsure the amount as I didn’t check my current Level just before it dropped. It looked to be around 15 though.

Characters that can do Battle:

Geordi: 3hrs, 1 OR 2 Damage

Klingon Chris: 3hrs, 2 OR 3 Damage

Picard: 3hrs, 1 OR 3 Damage

Talosian Stewie: 3hrs, 3 OR 4 Damage

Guinan: 3hrs, 2 OR 3 Damage

TRANSPORTER AWAY MISSIONS

There are now New Planets for the Star Trek Characters to Travel to. I am still trying to verify drops on all of them. Feel free to share what you see in your game if it is not listed here.

Beta Max:
6hrs

Cost: 3 Comm Badges
Characters: Starfleet Lois & Vulcan Quagmire

Bowel Regulus:

QUESTLINES

I had a few New Side Questline pop up from last year’s Characters.

Locutus: Half Man Half Machine

Q: Q! That’s Who!

Starfleet Lois: Lois to the Bridge

Geordi La Forge: Forge Ahead

Data: Hard Data

There you have the Basics of Phase Two for Star Trek: Second Contact and the Final Week. I will update a few more things, but the rest of the information will be in more detailed posts to come later.

What do you think of the “New” Items? For last year’s Players, any item you want to make more of? For New Players, any item look the most interesting? Let us know.

  1. Am totally confused about the end date for this quest it says today above, but when I just logged in, it came up with the message ends tomorrow.
I know there is the option thing that you have posted today but when will that appear.

  2. Hey,
I’ve had holodeck unlocked for days now and can’t find Data? He’s not in my shopping menu or in costumes or the replicator. I’ve managed to get Troi, locutus and eh… the other one. What have I done wrong?

  3. HELP! I have Locutus and have had him for a few days, but Picard has never shown up in my replicator to unlock/purchase. Any ideas?

    • If Locutus is out walking around in your Quahog and you do not see Picard… my next question would be double check Al’s in Quahog and if he is not there… then contact TinyCo.

  4. Hi Bunny,

I’ve unlocked the whole of the enterprise and my game doesn’t show starfleet Lois, I have the option within Locutus for the batteries, but when Al pops up she isn’t there, nor is she within the character pop ups whilst on the Enterprise or in Quahog? Any help will be appreciated

  5. Sorry if I missed this, Bunny, but I don’t see a list of how many characters are needed to take out Borg Bertram at each level (especially curious about the last/highest one–in case I need to buy Guinan to even make it possible!) – thanks!

    • Funny you say that… the basic rundown of their damage is in the Borg Bertram section of this post. The detailed post will be live tomorrow.

      • In my game, Picard was also able to inflict 2 hearts damage on Borg Bertram. Haven’t verified the listed “1 or 3” hearts damage yet since I just got him. The damages listed for Geordi (1 or 2 hearts) and Chris (2 or 3 hearts) match my experience with them.

  6. It should have been Kirk, Spock, and Bones for the original show premiums.

  7. Hey Bunny just out of curiosity.. do you have any idea if releasing Picard for 5 clams was a mistake and Tiny Co just decided to let it ride, or was it intentional? From your post it looks like he was supposed to be released in the replicator. Do people that didn’t spend 5 clams on him still have the option to get him through the replicator or was the 5 clam deal the only option? I thought for sure they were gonna take him back and refund the clams.. But they never did.

    • It seemed some possible error. It only happened for those that had Locutus (as he is required to get him, that or they started unlocking him) from last year and probably started Picard or in the area (My test game that I started this year did not show the option). Only those Players as noted above still in Phase 1 saw it… not Phase 2. Those in Phase 2 have to collect items to unlock him or those that never played last Event too. If you got him that way, I would say feel lucky. 🙂

  8. Just a heads up for everyone- if you have Q- he now drops communicator badges. It’s his 8 hour task.

  9. I really enjoyed this event. I got Talosian Stewie (which I literally missed out on by ONE robe last time), the mystery boxes were reasonably priced and I got like 5 or 6 characters/skins plus a number of decos and buildings and best of all no glitches (for me at least). The leader boards….well, you said not to rant about it so I’ll just say it could be improved on….

  10. Oops, never mind. Guess I am not far enough.

  11. I have all of the characters from the last time, except for Joe. . . And, he is not showing up in my replicator. I am on pt. 11, so does that mean it is too early? I could not tell from the description above.

    Thanks!

    • As noted at top of post in bullet points requirements, you must complete that Part (11) to start Phase 2 questline (Keep on Trekking) and fully launch into all Phase 2 Content.

So if you’re right there… just finish it and ensure all bullet points checked off and he’ll pop round. (Also, see note under Replicator in regards to Characters in post)

  12. I don’t know if anyone notice this but as I was trying to collect a lot of them giant tribbles (just the yellow for me) from the replicator and after the fifth one I think I got around 1000 lithium I think. The first 4 was around 10 lithium but I don’t really care about the leaderboard but after the fifth one I tried to clear the lithium away so I can replicate other items and it was like none stop pressing to clear them. I shot up the ladder and I think I’m rank 4000 when before I wasn’t even on it I think. That’s cool. I know people doing the pods but I honestly don’t want 50 pods.

  13. What does abusing the replicator for exploitation mean? If they don’t want us making too many of something then why can we? How are we supposed to guess the “appropriate” limit?

I always enjoy using up all of my materials and the game is letting me get so many things with them, why should I be punished for earning so many materials and chosing to actually use them? Isn’t that what they’re for?

    Like

    • Normally… if there’s a “glitch” causing too many of an item to drop, that’s abusing or exploiting. However, this one’s different. They intended multiple purchases, but probably forgot to factor the mass amounts of Anti-Matter last year’s Players and even some of this year’s have stockpiled.

Due to this, the “net” in place for exploits and cheaters is going flag crazy as normally, a player wouldn’t jump from 200 to 20,000 – 40,000 through standard game play.

No worries. They’re working on it.

      • Ya I did shoot up fast, but to be fair I didn’t get anything during week one. I waited to see what was coming out for week two and have been doing phaser battles and using the replicator like crazy these past couple of days.

It’s actually a lot more relaxing and fun to go into the phaser battles after gaining a stock pile of ammo :p

      • A side question – the little qualified bar on the leaderboard has disappeared in my game. Is it just that the changes going from tier to tier are happening too quickly? I’m spending anti-matter as soon as I earn it to try and stay on the top tier, but slip down and have to work back up.

        Like

        • Possibly. Like the “YOU” works sometimes and not others as well. Best suggestion is look up top right to see your total (it’s shows your current right now) and then got to last spot on tiers and see how close.

I’m seeing jumps up n down almost hourly now. I go up n down spots so much I just don’t bother.

  15. Laser Borg Bertram starts at 8 hearts.
Bladed Borg Bertram starts at 12 hearts.

Puppies appearing “around part 3” in the description is vague for a reason! I saw and cleared my first three Borg puppies before completing any of Part 2. And as of about 5pm EST Saturday, they are still turning into kittens pouncing on the catnip before releasing their expected omega molecules… Well, our junior cat acts like she’s part dog, so that makes some sense.

    • I said around as they list as it end of part 2 (aka part 3) but I saw them in part 2. So… around. 🙂

  16. I really still can’t get excited about this event, at all! Not being into Star Trek sure does not help but even then, I just find this event really really boring. Not sure why, it just seems this isn’t for me. I’ve got quite a few of the costumes and characters which is nice I guess but it is just really drab… hope this is over soon. And I haven’t even bothered thinking about the leaderboards at all. Meh.

    • About every 4 hrs.

      • It’s been more than 6 hours in my game for the last puppy sighting. I’m in part 3 of the main quest now. I sent an in-game message, can’t get Picard to help with Bertram without those little puppies… Maybe they know I’m a cat person. Maybe the barky dog next door reported me. My best doggie references are all dead or moved away, unfortunately.

Am I right to assume that as soon as I hit part 3, following the questline is optional? Nothing new that depends on it?

        • I haven’t seen anything else so far… but spawn times are slowing me down from moving too fast on questline. I’ll note if anything else arises.

I’ll double check to see if I can at least get an approximate on the time frames.

          Like

      • 2am Sunday and puppies are back! They no longer turn into kittens and just go after the bone. So my guess is that the spawning problem had to do with fixing the glitch. Maybe they chose Saturday night, wrongly assuming that we actually have a life and wouldn’t be playing much then…

        Like

        • Puppy Kitten Crossover Patch was pushed 3pm Pacific Saturday Day. Two were not linked as far as I saw. I still had them Spawn as normal even with the Kitten Crossover (2 about every 3 or 4 hrs). I think not seeing them may have been an alternate issue. Let them know if it happens again.

  19. I think I finished part 1 of the main quest Keep on Trekkin’ but I can’t see part 2. This happens periodically in some events (happened in phase 1 the first time I sent Chris off for catnip), I don’t think it’s due to too many tasks in the list. Usually the questline pops back into place once I’ve completed the invisible part. I can’t find a list for the main quest here yet, so could somebody tell me the tasks for part 2 at least (and part 3 if completion of part 3 is needed) so I can get going on those little Borg puppies? They won’t show up unless I get to part 3… Someone on reddit said in a preview post (which often are wrong) that part 2 was pop 32 tribbles, send Herbert to Bowel Regulus, and have Quagmire fight Borg (dunno if that’s his usual Borg clearing task since he doesn’t look like he’s fighting…). Does that sound right? Thanks.

That should get you an idea til it goes live. 🙂
