A New Knight is upon us. A land of Dragons, Kings, and R.O.U.S’? Wait a minute… WHAT??!!
A Grimm Knight in Quahog is in full swing in our silly lil games and with it some fun Fairytale Characters, Buildings, and other various items will be joining our games. Don’t worry, it’s only a Flesh Wound.
With this new Grimm Knight Event, we also get some new Characters. Like Westley!
Let’s take a look at what Westley can do in our silly lil games.
Westley is a New Character added during the first week of A Grimm Knight in Quahog 2016. As with many characters in the game in order to get him you have to collect lots of stuff!
First you had to place Buttercup’s Farm for 250 
Magic Beans and wait the 10hr Build Time.
Once it was complete Building, you would then see Westley pop out in front of it with a lock icon, tapping on the icon will show the individual bubbles of the Materials you would then need to collect to pull him into your game.

32 Dragon Scales (always): Defeat the Dragon OR James Woods School of Witchcraft & Wizardry
8 Bandit Masks (extra rare): Joe Patrol the School OR Chris Fat Kid Hula Hoop OR Quagmire Let the Gerbil Loose
18 Wooden Water Pails (uncommon): Bonnie Go To Ladies’ Night OR Lois Freshen Up
15 True Loves (rare): Black Knight Castle (Bazaar)
Once you finished collecting the Materials for him, you will see a bouncing Unlock Icon over him by his Building. Tapping on the icon will pull him live into your game.
He does come with a Questline, As You Wish, more on that HERE.
Westley does come with a complete set of Tasks! Tasks that will help you earn Magic Beans and 
Honor Points. He also has an additional 3 Tasks, each one helping ALWAYS drop much needed Potions for the Dragon Battles. 
He also has a task in Phase 2 to help get 1 
Guantlet for Wrestling.

**Note: Within an Event, tasks may change and vary as the Phases come and go. So some of these tasks will be temporary. Others may be one time use. Some will stick around even after the Event. We won’t know until the Event Ends.

I’m surprised, “As you wish” was not one of the phrases he utters in the game. Also, does he have a dual visual task with Inigo Montoya– especially hoping to see them do a fencing duel like in the movie, one of my favorite parts of the film. Thanks.

Anyone know who Westley is or where he’s from? I keep feeling like he and Princess Buttercup are from some movie I haven’t seen… is he really just an original character?

These dragons are being stingy with the boogers (haven’t seen a single booger) and it is very difficult getting scales when you only have one character to get potions AND the other one who can help get potions relies on dragon drops. I keep going as high in attacks as I can on the attacks (3 or 4) but this is only my 3rd dragon because I JUST unlocked Sir Peter 3 days ago. This is frustrating because the character I need for the dragon attacks. AND to top it off it feels like the character action drops to unlock Westley is epic instead of rare. I’m not even going to get started on the gauntlet gloves and flash bangs. SO I’m stuck on part 4 cause I can’t seem to get drops to unlock Westley *grrr*/end rant

I still don’t have Westly unlocked.
Dragon rarely shows and when it does it asks for 4 fireball potions on second attack each time.
Which I just can’t accumulate in time with only sir Peter.
So, only have Sit Peter unlocked at this point.
Soooo far behind.

I sent TinyCo a message requesting they need to either: drop the number of Scales needed to unlock Westley, add more characters to drop potions, or raise the number of Scales dropped by defeating the Dragon.
With the way the system works now I won’t unlock Westley for another week because the number needed in Scales is way too high at 32 and drop drop number from the Dragon it too low. I can only defeat the dragon two times before I’m forced to have him reset because its impossible to get 4 of a potion within the 24 time limit only using Sir Peter, so I can only get 3 Scales max every cycle. I’m currently at 11 and going at that rate I won’t unlock Westley until next week and I started him and Sir Peter at the same time.
TinyCo must only beta test their events as if players are premium, because the time table to unlock characters is broken to all hell. It shouldn’t take a player 2+ weeks to unlock a week 1 character.

Like I was telling another player, elements of the can game change from the time they set the goals (about 3 months prior) to time Event goes live. You see it in coding all the time. I see it happen on both games we write about. Items there but never released. Or released differently than originally intended. Saw this at Christmas for example. Boss battle that never happened.
Even the smallest change can make a huge difference. Changing how we earn things. Reporting to them and letting them know is great as they can visually see where a player is caught up and make adjustments. I honestly think they assumed we’d battle more Dragons by now. Players needed quicker access to them.

TinyCo may fix bugs during the event, but they also need to adjust everything that is also effected by that bug.
With this event for example the game wouldn’t drop Swords causing most players to get behind. They fixed the problem a week later, but didn’t adjust the Scales drop number to allow players affected to catch up. Those players behind are now getting more behind because the stuff Sir Peter could have accomplished Week 1 they have to do Week 2.
Right now I can’t progress in most event task lines because I need Westley unlocked to complete them, but I need 21 Scales. Like I stated TinyCo should have also doubled the Scales drop number for defeating the Dragon to compensate for the time stuck players lost.

I haven’t had a dragon spawn in 3 days now… I’ve messaged in game. Anyone else seeing this kind of wait? I’m on twice upon a time part 4. H level 7

Bunny did you happen to notice how much the buckets to unlock Westley cost? I never checked off the beans, because I wanted to save them, figured I’d just spend the clams needed for the beans.. But I got impatient for the last bucket, and paid 30-something clams to unlock him, with 1 bucket remaining and the beans unchecked, (I had them, just did not want to spend them.. Like I said I wanted to save them and wanted to pay clams in place of them)..
So I’m just wondering about the individual cost of the buckets.. I’m down to about 9000+ beans and I swear I had around 11000+ beans, almost 12k before I paid the 30-something clams. Ggrrr.

Here’s the thing with any character. The “Buy Out” cost you see will take into account any currency you have too. Meaning that cost would’ve included the Beans. There really isn’t a way to bypass that unless you zeroed out the beans first.

So I wasn’t sure where to put this but I just opened my game and clicked on I think Herbert doing the quest for quantlets and I went from level 4 to level 8 instantly giving me 4 clams but i t still says level 4 have messaged tiny CO but also wanted to let you know don’t know if I’m the only one or not

Just saw the same thing. After exiting and opening the game again it now stress me ah level 8.
I wonder if they realized they set the amounts for each level too high and just fixed it. I spend quite a bit of money and saw no way I’d be any where near level 8 by Thursday.

Usual thing of 3 months ago when they planned it… amounts looked great on paper. In game and how players play is another story. Sometimes an element is dropped or moved that will impact play to by release. So they monitor it and adjust as necessary.
I see this in the other game. Things in the files that never make them game. Saw it in this one during Christmas

I’ve been working on freeing Westley since the event started and am not even half way there! You need to defeat the dragon to get pieces but you need westleys help (along with sir Peter) to defeat the dragon. It’s like a big circle. I feel like tinyco has made these events harder to complete unless you go premium.

But the problem is, until you unlock Westley, you are stuck on twice upon a time part 4 of the main quest line and can’t move beyond that point, which is where I find myself now… Need about 18 scales and trying to send sir Peter to earn potions for battles, yet needing to send him to earn the sapphire eggs to get buildings to get stuff for Chris the giant. Hope the dragon comes back soon, but I can’t tell if I have enough potions since there is no counter for them until the battle starts- have to rely on my bad memory!! Enjoying the event though… LOVE princess bride!!! I really want an ROUS though!!

Yeah I am finding this event even more difficult than usual. Have got 9 princess hats so far, and hardly any of the dragon-related stuff for Westley. Personally, I am not very interested in any of the unlocks in this event anyway though so it doesn’t really matter to me. Just doing what I can and waiting for the next one 🙂
