Week 1 of Greek Life has hit…and you know what that means. Time for a brand new questline to work through!
Greek Week is the main questline for week 1. While there are several side quests that will popup along the way, this is the one questline you must complete in order to move onto week 2 when it hits.

And that’s how far the main questline of week 1 will take you….since you can’t upgrade the fountain until week 2 hits…
There are a bunch of side quests for Toga Peter, Zeus and others…but this is the main questline for week 1 that you must complete in order to move onto week 2.

Centaurs don’t needs sandals. You need to create the items in the Campus Altar to take them out.

Anybody know what it takes to trigger the Week 2 Questline? I finished the Week 1 Questline and updated the Ancient Fountain, bought the Parthenon, got the reward, and saw the finishing conversation about frogs. LOL.
But no question mark anywhere to trigger Week 2.

Welcome back Alissa, we’ve missed you! Hope Bunny will be hopping back soon, all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. Make sure she gets plenty of rest. Her health is more important than this site and our addiction to this game.
I’ve just unlocked Toga Peter and I should be able to get Zeus later today, once I’ve crafted all the lightning offerings. I’m at level 6, but will need to get the Parthenon before I can progress to week 2, so I’ll hopefully be no longer than a day behind.

For those still in doubt, Zeus looks to be worth the trouble. Entirely gettable without spending Clams, as long as you have both Spell buildings and at least 8 spells in stock (not necessarily made into Offerings yet) at the time the 24hr clock starts (you can use whatever Offerings you have to get the Pottery 101 once the clock starts, and it will still work, though you might want to speed up a Pottery 101 collection to match the timing on your other collections).
And once you do have him, the rest of the week one items are a breeze. Since he drops two Spells with his task, you can get 5 Spells every six hours (on top of the two buildings and Bruce). Once you get 20 Spells (doable in a little over a day), you’re as much as done preparing for the next Zeus (offering) appearance until he appears (since you can build all the Offerings you’ll need in 15hr), and can concentrate on farming Ambrosia via the Centaurs until he shows up. 1010 Ambrosia and 10 Golden Apples will get you the two item buildings.

I know this has nothing to do with the thread, but I just have a question involving the Tan Lines Resort. I just unlocked the Blue Mussel Floor last night and today didn’t get a daily task to get extra Stewie Bucks. Is this how its programmed to be?

I have had odd day or two where I didn’t get a task, so think it’s just an in game glitch.

Anyone else having problems with the weekly challenge? I have to “make 20 ambrosia offerings” and “make 10 lightening offerings” well I just made 2 of each.. And none of them counted towards either one… Still says 0. Not sure what I’m missing.. The ambrosia offerings are when you use the ambrosia to clear the centaurs.. And the lightening offering is when you use the lightening to hit Zeus.. Right?

Did you USE the offerings? :Place offering to clear centaurs and appease Zeus to get ambrosia and rush points. Once you’ve done that it should add up. If not contact tinyco

I’m on part 9 of the main quest chain. Really wish we didn’t need to buy the Parthenon to continue to week 2. I already have Toga Peter, so the building is useless to me. Complete waste of 8 golden apples 😦

Hmmm they left the weekly challenge too late this week we have to clear 30 horses which will take 30 hours and get 10 lightning things which take 45 mins each… And as it will be updated tomorrow with new things to get I can’t see anybody been able to complete the first challenge… So no one will get the grand prize

This is a bit challenging i didn’t think i would need any of the items since Zeus was all i wanted. I managed to unlock Zeus and i’m partially close to getting Toga Peter i just need 2 paddles and Laurels. But now i have no golden apples to get the Gazebo or the Parthenon which in total equal 10 golden apples :C So does this mean when phase two starts i’ll just still be stuck in phase one?

Hmm… Seeing an exclamation point over Peter’s head again, and I suspect that it will start the first weekly challenge: Sphinx. Has anyone hit it yet? What are we in for? I’m working frantically on unlocking Zeus before his timer expires, so I am wary about starting something new…

You’re right on! It’s a 3 part mission with a 3 day timer. You are tasked with creating 30 ambrosia offerings, 10 lightening offerings, and Toga Peter must Go Comando. I currently have Peter fulfilling a 12 hour task for another mission so I’m not sure how long it will take, but with 3 days I’m sure I can find the time 😉
It will be time consuming but it’s not like we wern’t going to make these offerings anyway. As long as you keep you production lines running it should be a no sweat mission. Good luck!

Actually works out in your favor for the lightning offerings since it will be counted anyways, but you should leave some slots at the Campus Alter for the ambrosia offerings. I usually do all ambrosia offerings at night because they take longer to make.

Yes, Sphinx is the first prize. The final prize is a decoration of the Kraken.

That’s what I thought with the last event. Boom and Doom. I was ahead waiting for week two, then rapidly fell behind due to never getting to level 11, I think it was. Thankfully, they lowered the crisis level, but I lost many days just trying to get there. I wish us luck! Lol

Hi Alissa I have enough to unlock Toga Peter but I am holding off until I can see if I get Zeus so as to save my ambrosia. I have about a day and a half to get him but I have doubts. I only have 2 apples towards him but have 8 lightnings ready but he’s in retreat. Anyone know how long he stays out b4 he comes back? Hope Bunny is feeling better! Thanks for helping!

I am waiting for The God to return. After that I should be able to place the Gazebo building. For Toga I need 10 Lauren crowns and 7 paddles. I have a feeling, I am quite behind since I only get Lighting Spell from Bruce and as such Golden Apples takes forever to get.

Get the second building in the prizes, the Greek gazebo. It drops the Lightning things every 4 hours which makes it much quicker.

I have a tough decision to make. Do I buy Zeus with 4D 16H left or get the Pantheon building so I can move on to Phase 2 tomorrow?
I have 1,100 Ambrosia and at least 10 Golden Apples. I lost count of the total and it’s not shown anywhere. Zeus helps drop Lightning Spells, but I don’t need much more help there since I have 3 buildings and 2 characters that drop it.
Any thoughts? I imagine that Phase 2 will open another type of offering to another God/Goddess. So I can still work on Lightning Offerings to Zeus once he appears again to get more Golden Apples before his timer runs out.
Also, did anyone notice that the cost to summon Zeus changes? It has been 40 clams when I click on it. I check it several times through the day to see if it changes. Several days ago I saw it was 16 clams, but haven’t seen the lower cost since. Perhaps they raised the price and/or it doesn’t change with time?

I highly recommend getting Zeus first because he will help you to get more lightning spells and ambrosia to help later in the coming weeks as I’m sure you can guess, we will probably need a ton of apples by the end. Additionally, if you upgrade to phase 2 while still having the timer for Zeus, when you go to unlock him, you WILL inadvertently activate the timer for Hades!
As for the cost to summon a god, I believe it’s only 16 clams if the time out without any offerings, 24 clams if they’re given one offering before timing out and 40 clams thereafter … this is just what I noticed in my game over the past week.
Hope this helps with your decision if you haven’t already figured it out 😉

It depends on what level he is at when he leaves, the higher the level the more clams to summon him back. 16 clams was for when he was at level 2, 24 clams for level 3 and presumably 40 clams for level four (but I have not managed this myself yet).

No you cant unlock Zeusvonce his own timer in the store expires. My timer now shows that i have 1 day left to unlock. From Bunny’s earlier post, he will be gone if not unlocked by then.

It was 16 Clams for me after the first time, and 32 after the second. I beat him on the third, after which it is currently 40. So apparently it goes up each time. Since it goes up by a smaller amount each time, it’s probably got an upper limit (50?).
As for Zeus vs Parthenon, if youve already got Toga Peter and 4+ days left on Zeus’s timer, you’re probably good to go either way. Especially if you already have enough to get the Parthenon or Zeus. I’d pick the Parthenon now and concentrate on getting Ambrosia from the Centaurs (and/or whatever Phase 2 brings) until you can start spending Offerings on Golden Apples again. You should have more than enough spells at that point to get a sufficient number of Golden Apples before time runs out on that 24hrs.

It looks like the Zeus recall cost is based on the level he was at when he disappeared. I’ve seen 8, 16 and 40 clams the latter being after I defeated him fully.

The clam cost to summon Zeus doesn’t change on time remaining. The difference in clam costs is due to the level Zeus was at when the timer ran down as when you summon him he returns at that, hence 40 clams if you had defeated him at all levels, he will then return at 4X. If you were at a lower level when the timer ran out the clam costs are lower, I can’t say exactly what they are as I’ve defeated him to 4X each time. So the amount won’t reduce as the 24 hours counts down for Zeus to return.

Is there a list yet of all the characters that go on tasks to collect ambrosia? Cause I have the first 3 levels unlocked on Tan lines filled with characters and don’t want to keep them cooped up if they’re useful!

You can earn Ambrosia from Ambrosia Fountains, certain character actions, completing quests, making offerings to the Gods, and clearing squatters. Spend Ambrosia at the shop, University Store, and Campus Altar.
Character actions are:
Peter – Anger the gods
Quagmire- Enjoy getting paddled
Lois – Satyr with Seders
Mayor West – Offer oranges to the gods
Bonnie – Ride a Centaur

There’s a list in the initial post Bunny made for the event. In addition, all the event item tasks I’ve seen so far (tasks for Toga Peter items, Lightning Spells, etc.) also drop Ambrosia (even after sufficient items are collected), as do all of the event buildings and the event Griffin Home skin. Bonnie and Lois also have additional 4hr tasks (on top of their 8hr item tasks) that will pop up at some point.

I’m making good progress but investing a lot of time. My main goal is to get Zeus, but he has only shown up twice with the 24 hour timer the whole campaign and I’m not sure how long it will take for him to come back. After today I will only need one more apple to get him, but only 30 hours till the store timer for Zeus ends and I have limited clams to invest. Does anyone else know how fast Zeus come back?

Battle Zeus leaves 24 hours after you first offer or if you complete the 4X offering, whichever comes first. He’s gone for 24 hours from whenever he leaves.

If seen him show up pretty close to once every two days. His next appearance for me should be his fourth, and I expect it some time tomorrow, between the morning and the late afternoon. If you only need one more Apple, I suggest getting at least two Offerings made right now so you can get that one Apple as soon as he shows up. That way if it starts to look like he isn’t going to show up again before the 7 day timer is up, you can wait as long as possible for him to show up on his own before summoning him with Clams (down to 5min or so), if that’s something you think is worth it.
I hope you haven’t been neglecting getting the additional Lightning Spell generating buildings while saving up Apples to get Zeus. Those buildings will let you pick up Spells at a sufficient pace so that you can get Zeus within the 24hr timer without too much difficulty. Especially if it’s taking a while between offering appearances. If you get Zeus but don’t have the buildings, it’s going to be harder to get the items you need to advance to Phase 2.

If you haven’t gotten the buildings by now, I’d go ahead and get Zeus, since you won’t be able to do both by the time your timer is up, but they do usually arrange these events so that items which are easier to get (like the Spell buildings), but seem to compete for resources with more desirable, less accessible items (like Zeus), usually end up more than paying for themselves in the long run and making those more desirable items more accessible.

It is somewhat an annoyance that the Parthenon is a required building for the questline.
I had to buy the Wine Shoppe in order to get on track with Laurel Crowns for Toga Peter which otherwise would have stalled me on part 8, and I guess more players had to. But right now I’m only having 1200 Ambrosia and five Apples; it means I have to beat Zeus at last six times and get 1200 more Ambrosia to get the Toga Peter costume, Zeus himself AND the Parthenon, which will most likely mean I’ll trail in phase 2. All of that is facilitated by the requirement of the Parthenon.
It will probably be alright, half a day behind is not a major hassle, but it’s annoying that it’s due to these seemingly random requirements in the quest chains.

I’m the opposite on the Toga Peter drops. It’s starting to look like I’ll need the Parthenon anyway (been at 8/10 Paddles for about 3 days), but I got the Laurels without too much issue. Have already gotten Zeus. Currently have him on Spell duty, so Apples (I have 2) won’t be an issue once Offering Zeus shows up. Hopefully I get lucky and unlock Toga Peter first, so that doing the required tasks he is needed for will get me most of the 200-300 Ambrosia I’ll need for him and the Parthenon before too much of tomorrow is gone. If not, though, I should be able to buy the Parthenon first and get the required Ambrosia via the Centaurs and the other characters’ tasks.

He DEF helps IMO. He has a six hour task which earns TWO lightning spells at a time which will help earn the Parthenon to complete the main quest line! 🙂

He’s got a questline and a task that drops Lightning Scrolls. Beyond that, only time will tell IMHO…

I have just been waiting for week 2 since everything has been done except upgrade the fountain. Since you didn’t have to pick off one building at a time to get Zeus I went for him after the first building, than the rest. I have enjoyed it so far. Waiting for week 2!

Hope we see what week 2 rewards are before I lose the option to get Zeus. Have 1 day and 12 hrs on his timer and should have enough apples to get him tomorrow. With 1 day and 6 hrs left before week 2 starts, I only have 6 hrs for them to update…..too close based on previous issues I’ve had…Just hope he is worth it over the other items I could already have. Peter is next.

If it’s like previous events, then the Phase 2 items will probably need something else in addition to Ambrosia and Golden Apples. So you should have more time to refresh your Golden Apple stock while you’re farming the new item, if you use them now for Zeus. If Lightning Spells are needed for the later Phases, or if Zeus’ other tasks drop later Phase items, then he’ll definitely be worth getting.

Pretty happy so far. Except with paddles. I still need 4 more to get Toga Peter. Otherwise doing great, I’ve got Zeus and the Parthenon (didn’t notice that it’sa chance drop on paddles). Got 2800 ambrosia and almost to level 7. Hopefully those paddles will start dropping and I can be ready to roll when week 2 hits.

I am on part 8, got centaur joe cuz I’ve been freemium since before Xmas and really wanted Zeus. I have Zeus now and just need 3 wreaths for toga Peter. He was insanely hard for me, my drops for him were poor. Overall I like this new event even though I was skeptical about the “Greek event”.
So thank u again and I hope everyone else is going to be ready for week 2, seems like everyone is doing well this first week.

Go into your WordPress settings (under Notifications) and remove all the ones you don’t want to follow. Unfortunately if you’re like me, you will continue to get emails from during the period between when you started getting notifications and when you told them to stop, as your email provider and the WordPress notification system cat h up to each other. All day yesterday and the day before I was getting those emails, all of which were dated within a three or four hour window. But I haven’t gotten one since. *knocks on wood*
