Where The Hell?… Toga Peter

Special thanks to Cookie Quack for this post!

In this lil game of ours, it is easy to get lost and so focused into collecting items or unlocking characters that we tend to forget the lil things that make the game what it is. Like Where the HELL did these items come from and why are they in our games?

Well I am here to do just that for you. Let’s take a look at the Family Guy Series and find out just Where The HELL Did That Come From?

With this WTHDTCF, I have to delve into a completely different show! Say what?

That’s right, Toga Peter’s appearance wasn’t in Family Guy, but rather…

South Park?

Anyhoo, here it is:
Season 10, Episode 4: “Cartoon Wars Part II”
Okay, the main focus of this episode is that Cartman wants to shut down Family Guy, due to their “subpar” writing. Once he learns that they plan to feature an episode showing the Prophet Muhamed, he heads to FOX, the channel on which Family Guy airs, to shut it down.

On the way he meets a kid that’s like our beloved little devilish 10-year old on “The Simpsons.” Despite everything I said, almost none of this has anything to do with Toga Peter. He appeared in a scene from this episode though. During it, The Prophet Muhammed shows up at Peter Griffin’s house carrying a Football helmet with a Salmon on it. Peter is wearing a toga and a laurel wreath when he answers the door:

Of course, this Peter isn’t exactly the same as the one that appears in our games though, but the resemblance is uncanny. “Toga Peter” in the game has a red cloth over his shoulder, some bracelets, and an emblem on the toga, but this is basically the same thing minus those couple of details.

  1. Ahem. Someone pls tell TinyCo togas are Roman – NOT Greek. And what Peter wears in cartoon is Greek, but the garment’s name is Chiton.

  2. Ah so THAT’s why I’ve been a bit in the blind when it comes to this event; I never actually saw Cartoon Wars (typical, as I frikkin’ love SP, but I think they never show those episodes on Comedy Central in the Netherlands). Cheers for the WTHDTCF 🙂

  3. Hey, my name is Cookie Quack! (It was me, guys.)
