Looks like the lil Mini Event that follows a Major one is rolling on into our games. It looks to be a “Sweet” Event. Lol.
CANDY MEN ENDS THURSDAY JUNE 16th @3PM PACIFIC

First up, the Basics
- Players will need to download App Version 1.24.0 from your App Market (in Google so far, can’t verify iOS at this time, Amazon?, Facebook?)
- Players will need to have at LEAST District 3 Unlocked and Al’s completed
- Players will only see this on the Mobile App Version (iOS, Google, Amazon, Facebook). NOT Windows Stand Alone
- PLAY THE GAME! Items unlock in stages and as you progress, so if you do not see an item it is most likely you have not progressed far enough in the Main Questline to unlock it. Check details below for more specifics on unlock points
- Don’t have a TON of Tasks open in your Task Menu. If you have too many open, no new ones can arrive. (Keep it under 10). If you do not see new Tasks popping up, clear out some incomplete Tasks already on your List to make room for more
***Side Note on the Update: If you get a bunch of black boxes just after updating, just restart your device. This cleared up the black boxes in my Google Device Game.

As soon as the Jelly Bears issue resolved this morning, I was able to finally move on to Man Candy Part 3. Once I triggered it, Peter started the First Timed Challenge Questline to help get Pawtucket Pat.

**UPDATE: Apparently the Jelly Bears got too warm and were stuck just outside the game, they should start showing up now soon. 🙂
***UPDATE #2: Here is the latest. The Patch pushed will only impact Players that had NOT started Part 2. Those of us, me included, that were already there will have to wait for the next “spawn time” for it to take effect. So again, those just starting… you should see them… those of us on top of it… will have to wait for Jelly Bears. In the meantime I am just gonna go to the store and pick up a bag myself. HAHAHAHAHA
***Jelly Bears showed up. Seemed like only 4 of them (1 Red, 2 Green, 1 Yellow) but similar to the Tribbles… tapping on them made some multiply into more. In all I was able to get several of them cleared. So tap on them and watch to see of they multiply to give you more. In my game, I also saw them triggered by a Questline from Peter, Clear Some Bears. That did help trigger them finally for me anyway.

7 Caramel Chocolate Bar= 18 Soda Pop
There you have it, the basics of the Event. I am still waiting on spawns of Jelly Bears to get more info as well as collect more items. I will update once I do. In the meantime this should get you started. Just focus on earning Materials and Soda Pop. A simple small Event for now.

Family Guy Addicts 
One thing that bugged me re: getting pop was how, for most of the last half of the event, it was all chocolate bars (which were needed to get Blueberry Peter) and peppermint so (which hardly came up); by the end I had whack loads of peanut butter, marshmallow and caramel bars, but for pop I needed a) chocolate, b) peppermint and c) peppermint AND chocolate.
I got Peter and Pat, but almost no decorations. Oh, well.

Anyone else having trouble getting the Ring Pops for Blueberry Peter? I’ve gotten two ring pops from the cottage in five days. That’s pretty sad when the regeneration time is only two hours. I know it’s a Very Rare drop rate, but it should be categorized as Nearly Impossible. I’ve messaged TinyCo, but don’t expect to here back from them before the end of the event. I only need two more ring pops to unlock Blueberry Peter and, unless I hit a hot streak, I don’t see it happening.

Hey Bunny a new quest line pulled up called “Candied Quahog Pt.1” I haven’t seen anyone mention it. Tried googling it and got nothing, but I didn’t see it in any of the walkthroughs.. It has 3 tasks..1.) Place (3) Giant Gumdrops. 2.) Place (2) Peppermint Trees. and 3.) Place (2) Big Ass Lollipops. Did I miss something? It was pretty recent.

Finally unlocked CandyMan Pawtucket Pat. He shows up in Al’s. He has a 6 hour task to gather cocoa beans. Thankfully, that’s his first task to do. Now to work getting Blueberry Peter before the event ends. I don’t care about the rest of it.

Hi bunny, I have been reading all the posts to see if the candyland palace is huge on anyones elese device. Haven’t read anything about it so I’m guessing something is wrong on my game. I’m also having trouble getting peppermints. I got the lolli right away and I have the tree as well, but they seemed to dry up as soon as I got to the 2nd Pawtucket Pat task. Can anyone tell me what the 3rd task is? I hope it doesn’t involve peppermint. :p

Me too! I get way more ‘rare’ peanut drops than I do ‘uncommon’ peppermints (with longer timers!). I think the names for the drops should be switched or they need to check and then re-check the algorithms/coding for the uncommon items, bc it is WAY more like an extra rare drop….I’ve messaged them about the dreaded ‘uncommon’ rates, but all I ever get back are generic messages if anything at all. You are not alone! Lol

Read the article and all comments, but I didn’t see anyone reference the Jelly Bears color codes yet:
GREEN = Jelly Bear Juice required for Blueberry Peter (11)
RED = Sugar (for Caramel)
YELLOW = Gelatin (for Marshmallow)
Are there any other colors?

That is it. The Giant One is Orange for Clams. So those are the only ones in the game.

For the second part of the Pat quest, it looks like the best strategy (barring using Clams) is to concentrate on Caramel Bars first, since there should be a Caramel Bar-only Soda trade option, and then to use the Soda generated from those to purchase both the Peppermint drop “buildings” (the 4 Soda lollipop and the 12 Soda trees). Caramel Bars are easy and quick to make, because Sugar drops often and both the Caramel and Caramel Bar tasks are quick, so it’s the Peppermint Bars which will be the problem.
Unfortunately, that looks like a one-time option for a quick Soda infusion, because my Caramel Bar trade option turned into a more lucrative (but also more difficult) Peppermint Bar option. Having both drop buildings plus Herbert and Quagmire should be enough to get the requisite Peppermint in time, though.

What are the benefits of the pawtucket pat costume. Im more into getting characters for tan lines than costumes. The costumes usually dont have a use after the event ends, will this one be different?

Just spent 400 Clams (40 clams a try) to test this in my games, dropped all 10 times, two Chocolate Bars every time. If yours is not, let them know ASAP from your game.

Uhg, I feel stupid. I did message them, haven’t heard back yet, BUT I believe it was my mistake! Feel so stupid. I think I had the mountain to close to something else and just thought I was collecting on it. I messaged them right away with my mistake. Going to sit in a corner now.

I now can’t play the game at all because whatever fix TinyCo did made it incompatible with my device. I tried to load my game and all I got after the blue title screen was a black screen. I did everything from uninstalling to resetting my device because Google Play was giving a 492 error. After get a download pending I had to re-sync my account to discover I can’t install the game at all. It looks like I’m out of this event or until the next big update.

Sure hope getting Pat is worth it as the tasks greatly reduce your chances to earn Soda > Decorations. Part two is making me think about passing on him especially since I’ve only been able to craft one Peppermint bar in 24 hours.

For the record I thought of making some of the stuff for part 2 before finishing part 1 (thought it might count as inventory for it), but it doesn’t count. Not sure if I should contact tinyco to count it since I was unaware (jelly bears tapped before the first mission counted) . Just letting everyone know to save the supplies for mission 2 for when you get there.

Most games, they won’t count as that particular task does not even exist until you trigger it… so no way for the game to count towards something that does not exist yet in your game. Hope that makes sense. 🙂

While that makes sense, when you clicked on the gummy bears they loaded up into part1 before I recall unlocking it. Also before this, I remember collecting items to unlock 1 character, and then when another character suddenly had a new outfit the items would be exchangeable. I realize what’s happening now, but I was unaware. Also, that quest wouldve been completed, if I logged in anytime before going to bed, but the items were on queue so they formed after the quest recs were done.

Anyone know if I will be able to unlock the Candyman outfit for Pawtucket Pat if I haven’t actually earned him in regular gameplay yet? I realize I won’t be able to use the outfit until I have, but want to know if it will be available after the event once I do unlock him if I finish all the quests to earn the outfit. Or even if the quests will be possible without having Pawtucket Pat.
I started fairly recently and just started unlocking the Downtown District, so I think it’ll be a while still before I get Pawtucket Pat. Thanks!

Usually what happens in situations like that is the costume remains in limbo until you get the Character. I will ask too. 🙂

Yeah, I know thats what has happened with a couple costumes I got from mystery boxes before I had the character, but it didn’t allow me to buy the Stewie costume at all during the Jolly Farm event.

Purchased ones are a lil different than earned ones. They seem to only work if you collect and earn them or get them in a Mystery Box. Direct Al’s buys don’t seem to happen unless you own the Character.

That’s what I figured. I put in a help request to ask (still doing the quests right now, but if I can’t get the outfit I don’t want to focus on them), and I’ll keep an eye out here to see if you get any info.

I think it has to do with whether the character is a main quest line character (Pat, Stewie, etc.) or an optional character (Consuela, Stan, etc.). If you don’t have the base character yet and get a costume for them, it sits in limbo in the case of the former, while you usually get the character outright in the case of the latter. Also sometimes in the case of the latter, the base optional character will be added to the store if they weren’t already (happened with Cleveland at one point), meaning they have to be purchased in order for the costume to work.

I flubbed part 1 of the challenge and don’t have Pawtucket Pat in my game yet. In my store, it says “outfit locked” and the info button says “You need to unlock Pawtucket Pat first.” Doesn’t sound too promising for those who don’t have Pat yet, but maybe they’re just not being clear. I definitely got a Stewie costume as a prize before I had Stewie back in the mobster event. Nothing in the faq about it.

I traded in 2 Marshmellow and 2 Chocolate bars for Soda Pop earlier (I think 12 Soda Pop, but I don’t remember). Every time you trade in for Pop, it refreshes with different bars to exchange.

The Soda trade recipes cycle. I’ve used all 8 Marshmallow Bars I created for the quest on two different trades (2 for one and 6 for the other) but haven’t seen them repeat yet. Which is fine with me, because while the Gelatine is easy to farm from the Bears, the Marshmallow and Marshmallow Bars take forever to craft. Which is time I could be using for the much more useful Peanut Bars or the quest-required Peppermint or Caramel Bars.

They spawn on roads, just like every other “Bad Guy” character. And mine… took off like a flash. You may wanna restart your device and ensure you are up to date in the app market. Mine wont stop moving.

Yeah they are moving now. Mine originally where just chilling by the road 🙂 (like the Stewie Eggs) however a lot were chilling behind buildings 😦 fine when you have a task to find them however not so when you have to play hide and seek.

A small analysis of the event’s requirements:
– It might not be smart trading in excessive Milk Chocolate Bars for Soda Pop and go for the 18-soda requirement instead, as the Milk Chocolate Bars are also required for Peter.
– If the trade option stays 1 Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar for 6 Grape Soda you need just 7 bars for Blueberry Peter; I don’t know if Peanut Butter is included in the regular Soda Pop trade options.
Meh. Think I’ll be going for Blueberry Peter but I’m not overly excited about this mini-event; gladly, considering I have a weekend convention coming up and go on a holiday wednesday. I might be missing out on almost a week of the next main event though (depending on whether it releases instantly after this) which may set me back somewhat.

Unfortunately the Grape Soda recipe, like the regular Soda recipes, changes each time you use it. I had the same 1 Peanut Bar for 6 recipe to start as well, but when I used it, it changed to 2 Peanut Bars and 6 Marshmallow Bars for the same 6 Grape Soda.

My starting soda recipes at the Sugar Shack were exactly the same as yours, so that might be the standard starting config. After buying 3 Soda (the far left option) it changed to 2 Chocolate Bars + 2 Marshmallow Bars for 10 Soda. Hopefully it stays like that so I have something to do with all the Marshmallow Bars I have to make for Pat…

What device are you playing on?

On Android, you go into the Google Play Store, click on the three bars to the left of the search bar, and click on My Apps and Games in the menu that pops in from the left. If you have any updates available, you can get them from there.
On Apple, you go to your App Store app, and the procedure should be similar (I don’t have an iDevice, so I can’t tell you specifics).
Got no clue on Amazon devices.
In all cases, the game should be updating by itself automatically. Perhaps you should go through whatever steps you went through when you installed the game in the first place. Generally, the official app provider apps will take over the process once it becomes clear you’re trying to install an app, and at that point you should get the option to upgrade.

The update completely reset my Android device. I had to completely redo the tutorial and its now stuck saying I need to remove 3 Jelly Bears instead of the part where I unlock Bonnie to then get to the Option, so I can get to my saved game. So I’m essentially stuck unable to play the game.

Okay, I got it to get to Bonnie and reload my saved game. The tutorial must have locked up. Its still odd that there’s a task to remove 3 Jelly Bears in the tutorial. I’m guessing it has to do with the game patch.

Like the post says, they haven’t shown. They are aware. Patch out, but it didn’t work for me (sounds like not you either). I intentionally have stalled my progress now so I can watch and make sure they come back so I did not buy the Giant Jelly Bear for Clams so I can watch for them.

As noted in the post. The Patch DID work. Those not there yet are getting them fine. With my game impacted, TinyCo has a “test game” to use to fix it. Hardest issue is finding the right test game to create a good patch to help others. So this should go fast. 🙂

I’m playing on iOS and they spawned (12 of them) almost as soon as I hit part 2. I’ve been on part 3 for about an hour and a half and now just had about 4 spawn again. They do not always drop materials, though… Often coins dropped. Just to keep it interesting?! 😁 Random thought with conveyor belts… Wish there would be a task for Lois and Bonnie that recreates the candy assembly line bit from the old “I love Lucy” show!! When I try to send Pat, it bounces to the Al’s screen for Blueberry Peter. If I click off that, Peter comes up saying we need to clear something and then we can send him to dance. Not understanding what is needed.

I’m having issues with the latest android version. When I open the app, much of the screen is black. It’ll then crash and restart just fine.
Just an FYI, in case anyone else experiences it. It seems like a minor thing.

My game has Pawtucket Pat listed to be able to earn cocoa beans with his ‘Dance it Out’ task, but his task doesn’t actually show up.

Ok, I’ll keep an eye out for it, weird that it goes straight to blueberry Peter though. One other glitchy thing that I don’t know if it was just in my game or if this had happened with any of you… I’m currently on man candy part 3 and made one chocolate bar ( required to get to this level) but I just looked at counters for chocolate bars for blueberry Peter and it reset itself to zero- should be one, for reason I just explained above. Anyone else seeing this? I messaged. I like the candy theme… But yet another 12 step program, huh? 😬

Because it’s a costume, so it will take you to Al’s and the first costume in there. Which happens to be Peter’s right now.
As to Pat, like the post notes… it is not quite active yet. You have some requirements coming up (similar to the Weekly Challenges) that you will be required to complete in the time alotted to get Pat’s Costume. Then at that time of completion of the Challenges, the costume will show up in Al’s to create. 🙂
And yes…. I really need to start giving out “Addicts 12 Step Program” coins to Readers. HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA
