Just a quick tidbit. I am currently away from home and won’t be back til a lil bit later. In the meantime I will post the Basic TinyCo FAQ for you to get an idea of the overall Event. Once I return home, I will bring you the usual MORE detailed breakdown of all that the Event has to offer.
EVENT ENDS THURSDAY, JULY 14th @3PM PACIFIC
I am releasing this info as some are seeing it live now, mainly iOS. None of my Google devices have it live and active. Mainly just splash screen. It is active now in my Google devices. Some I had to restart for update to show.
First up, the Basics
- Players will need to download the New App Version 1.25.0 from your App Market (in iOS & some Google so far)
- Players will need to have at LEAST District 3 Unlocked and Al’s completed
- Players will only see this on the Mobile App Version (iOS, Google, Amazon, Facebook). NOT Windows Stand Alone
- PLAY THE GAME! Items unlock in stages and as you progress, so if you do not see an item it is most likely you have not progressed far enough in the Main Questline to unlock it. Check details below for more specifics on unlock points
- Don’t have a TON of Tasks open in your Task Menu. If you have too many open, no new ones can arrive. (Keep it under 10). If you do not see new Tasks popping up, clear out some incomplete Tasks already on your List to make room for more

How do I participate in Peter’s Prehistoric Park?
You must have District 3 unlocked and Al Harrington’s repaired in order to take part in Peter’s Prehistoric Park.
When does Peter’s Prehistoric Park end?
Peter’s Prehistoric Park will end on Thursday, July 14 at 3 PM, PDT.
Any Peter’s Prehistoric Park content that is not fully unlocked or purchased will disappear from the game at that time.
How do I clear Crestosaurus eggs?
You will need 1 amber to create Reptile DNA at the Amber Processing Plant. Each batch of Reptile DNA will take 1 hour to craft. After you have crafted the Reptile DNA, place it near the Crestosaurus eggs to help the eggs hatch.
The area that the Reptile DNA covers will be shown with a green circle. If an egg is in this circle, it will turn purple. Tap the checkmark to use the Reptile DNA while the Crestosaurus egg is purple and it will hatch into Crestosauruses.
Please note the Reptile DNA will only work on one egg at a time.
How do I clear Crestosauruses?
Once you clear the Crestosaurus eggs, they will hatch into 3 Crestosauruses that can be cleared by tapping on them.
How do I unlock Dino Tamer Peter?
Dino Tamer Peter is available at Al Harrington’s.
To unlock him, you will need:

You can unlock the Velociraptor after repairing the Velociraptor egg in Fossil Fueled PT4.

Build the Raptor Training Pen
The Velociraptor is available until Thursday, July 14 at 3 PM, PDT. If she is not completely unlocked, she will disappear from the game at that time. If she is unlocked before the event ends, you will be able to continue her quests after the event has ended.
How do I create Raptor DNA?
You will need 1 blue amber to create Raptor DNA at the Amber Processing Plant. Each batch of Raptor DNA will take 30 minutes to craft.
How do I get Dino Chris?
Dino Chris is available in the shop for 260 clams. He will be available for purchase until Thursday, July 14 at 3 PM, PDT.
What is the Welcome Center?
The Welcome Center is where you can research the blueprints of the Prehistoric Park attractions . When you select a blueprint, you can see the materials needed to create it. Once created, the buildings can be purchased in the shop for coins.
What is the Raptor Training Pen?
In the Raptor Training Pen, you can train the Velociraptor to increase her level. To train her, you will need to have Created Dino Tamer Peter and use 3 servings of raptor food. Tap on both the trainer and trainee to start the training. Each session will take 5 hours and 30 minutes.
Fossil Fueled PT 10 won’t complete! No worries. This is the end of phase 1. Once phase 2 is out, you’ll be able to complete it and move onto the next phase.

Think the 90 Crestasauru is bit high, although you get 3 from each egg. Just wish they would start releasing the challenges earlier in the week again so they tie in with what your doing instead of overlapping into the next update.

That’s a good question. I’m still trying to unlock Dino Tamer Peter. I’ve spend somewhere around $60-80 on this game. Over now 2 1/2 years. I’ve decided that’s my limit and no longer pay for clams. I find that I’m usually about a week behind on every event TinyCo has done in the past 6 months because of it and I like you Jay log on and play 6-8 times a day if not more. I’m just curious how much actual money people are spending to get stuff so quickly in each event? Anyone care to share??

Found the Raptor quite easy to get tbh but only got Peter’s skin today. The only clams I spent were trying the mystery box but didn’t get Joe skin 😦 so I wouldn’t even really call that spending on the event lol.

I usually spend about 20 to 40 bucks before a big major event like this one if I really like the event. But it doesn’t mean I am ahead of everyone else bc I just use the clams to speed up my ppl to keep them on the schedule I made to work around my work schedule. I am still about a day or 2 behind. I will also use clams to purchase either a building or maybe character that will help me a little along the way but I try to determine if it’s worth the clam buy. Ex. Dino Chris I bought for 260 clams but he has helped out a bunch with the 15 dino claws he drops every 6hrs. I didnt purchase any buildings this run bc most characters or buildings you get in the welcome center helps with item drops or whatever you may need. Hope this helps or answer ur question. My Crestosaurus Pen is INVISIBLE! It says it’s an animated item. I’ve purchased it and placed it in several different locations but all you can see is the grass beneath it! Also all my fb friends except for OllieLand just disappeared today.

Sounds like some issues in your game. If your game is saved to Facebook (which it sounds like it is) you may want to ensure that you are actually logged into it via your device. If still issues, try an uninstall/reinstall and LOAD your saved game file.

I can’t clear any eggs,, the game simply refuses to let me select them. Looking through the comments I can see some sort of bug was affecting spawning and this appears to have kicked in around the same time but manifested in a different way and still with no solution.

Anyone know what the starter pack for 115 clams pays out? Is it just 1 Amber, 1 Blue Amber, and a fossil? Seems like a lot for those 3 items

I have sent Peter and the Raptor through training twice now both times I received 5 leashes but when I goto Peters costume, no leashes have counted, anyone else have this issue? I’ve sent Message both times no response

Eggs are now dropping and dinosaurs are spawning. Hooray!
Still finding if six dinos come from one egg, three of them drift off to the upper corner.

Still no eggs dropping, but the prehistoric path blueprint unlocked in the Welcome Center and I was able to make my paths. All of the blueprints dropped back into the Welcome Center, even though I unlocked and bought and placed all of them. Getting glitchier and glitchier by the hour.

Really struggling for Dino claws. Need another 200 to get the raptor then 100+ for the training pen and then hundreds more for Peter’s outfit. Got the first two blueprints but it or ignoring those now until needed. Seems a different problem (main event currency being hard to obtain) to the usual ones.

Yeah, I loved the theme for this event but it’s quickly become a slow and boring grind just collecting a handful of claws each day to get a bit closer to the 550 needed for the velociraptor and thousands more claws still needed after that. All quests have got stuck without velociraptor or dino peter; there’s nothing else to do unless paying clams; event has turned into another TinyCo misfire.

Same here. It’s kind of weird that none of the characters’ event tasks pay out event currency, especially since hatching the eggs pays out so little, too. I’m assuming the meat I keep getting is for the raptor, but it’s going to be so long before I unlock her that I don’t even know if it will be useful. I’m not even trying for Dino Peter at this point… 700 more after I finally get the raptor… I dunno, seems like the event will be over by the time I get to working on it.

Just a heads up there seems to be a big glitch once you build the raptor training pen and send Peter & Raptor training. Crestosaurus eggs have stopped dropping, new eggs stopped appearing and characters completely stopped dropping event items. Not sure if just some players like myself impacted or more widespread but you may want keep gathering items before embarking on building the training pen or doing raptor training. As as it stands we are at a stop in the game.

Now that you’ve said it, I’ve now remembered that when the eggs/dinosaurs stopped appearing was when I started my raptor training. I message Tiny Co last night about this, but still haven’t got a reply yet.

Just logged back into my game and found a lot of dinosaur eggs had spawned, and each one I cleared spawned dinosaurs. 🙂
I hope everyone else who got hit with this glitch find their games are back to normal too, now I just hope that having 24hrs unable to earn dinosaur claws won’t put us too far behind in this event.

I am having a similar problem, except, my eggs are spawning, but when I douse them in the dna, they are not hatching the dinosaurs and claws. I just got the raptor this morning, too! and now I am unable to go for Peter. My characters are still dropping things, but without claws, I can only go so far. I have not done the training yet, because when I went to try it, I did not see the chances change on the leashes and XP, so I thought I would wait until I got the task to train the raptor at part 8.

Just got approximately 6 eggs finally, still no answer from Tiny Co though.
Another weird thing happened though, while I was hatching all the eggs 2 or 3 dinosaurs left the play field, they sorta flew to the top right like items that are being collected do… Is anyone else seeing that? They didn’t appear to drop any teeth or meat.
As I was typing this I got a reply from Tiny Co with a basic we’re working on it message.

I’ve been getting 6 dinosaurs every 5 or so eggs since the beginning. 3 reg dinos to tap and 3 smaller ones that float up like they’re being collected for something. I was wondering if they’re going to be used later on. I guess we’ll see…

I figured it was just a glitch or something as well until just about 5 minutes ago… Was doing my normal 4 our refreshing of tasks and one egg quite literally dropped like 30 dinosaurs that acted like items.

I’ve been trying to save up Dino Claws for the Raptor so I’ve only bought the Crestosaurus Pen blueprint.
My question: how do you get the Asteroid Prevention Center blueprint? It’s not in my Welcome Center but the building does show up in my Shopping Cart. Do you need to unlock the other blueprints first before it shows up? I’m also on Fossil Fueled Pt. 7 right now, Research Park Attractions Pt. 3 and Triassic Yard Pt. 3

It’s the 4th item along in the Welcome Centre, but is only titled Prevention Centre Blueprint. If you click on it it gives you the cost and the full details that it is the Asteroid Prevention Centre Blueprint.

In my Welcome Center, it shows only as “Prevention Center Blueprint”, without the word “Asteroid”, but the picture matches, so I am pretty sure that is the same thing.

As a strategy are people going for the Blueprint Buildings first or saving up for the Velociraptor? I’m at pt. 7 of the quest line which needs the Velociraptor. I won’t be able to move on if I don’t get it soon so I’m trying to figure out the best course of action.

Wondering same thing… But seeing some people report that the eggs stopped spawning, or hatching the crestosaurs after they unlocked the raptor has me thinking it might be better to go after the blueprints for now until they patch whatever is causing this? Claws seem very slow to accumulate though… Looks like much grinding ahead, or maybe it will ease up depending on how tinyco rolls out new quests etc…

This same dilemma is driving me crazy. I don’t know why the blueprints don’t show what the buildings will drop in the Welcome Center. If I knew that there were some buildings that dropped Amber or Bones, I would prioritize getting those blueprints, but now I feel like they’re just distracting me from unlocking the Raptor.

I have all my blue amber needed for the velociraptor collected and crafted into DNA with still a long way to go before I’ll reach the dino claws target. Those dino claws are accumulating far too slowly; only have 279 so far out of 550 (plus another 780 needed for Dino Tamer Peter of course)!

I have nearly 100 characters and would rather not have to go through each one in my hotel. I feel like TinyCo. Should provide this information. No need to pull 100 characters out. We know to our unending frustration that TinyCo uses pretty much the same characters over and over again for events; so if you simply pull out all the usual suspects there are many more hits than misses with only a few to go back into the hotel (nothing for either Seamus or Mr Herbert to do yet, nor the less frequently used characters Tricia, Meg, Connie, Carter, Stewie or Tom).

Clarification: To train the raptor does not require Dino Tamer Peter. Regular Peter and Raptor, otherwise there would be no way to obtain the Dino leashes needed to unlock his costume.

Same thing happened to me, but I found it in the buildings section for 500 coins. It no longer showed up in the event section after buying the blueprints but it’s still in the buildings tab. 8hr build time.

I got the asteroid prevention center earlier in the game. Now I got the task “research park attractions pt. 7” which asks me to research (not checked) and place it (checked) … I’ve sent an in-game message to tinyco. No answer yet.

I had a glitch in my game where it allowed me to buy the asteroid prevention center a while back, without the blueprint, but when I came to the task in the questline, it showed unchecked for the blueprint, so I purchased the blueprint and it checked it off and I unlocked the prehistoric path!

My asteroid prevention center showed up in my shopping cart without me having to create the blueprint. The task to create it was still on my jobs list and I had to create it to get rid of that part of the task.

Same here for me. Either I get no dinosaurs from the egg or when I tap on the dinos that do hatch, they float up to the right like in past events where you don’t need the assets at that time. Lost about 8 eggs with no rewards in the past two days.

Same issue, cleared 2 nothing spawned. Have 2 eggs sitting but won’t let me target them with DNA and no new eggs spawning. Characters seemed to have stopped dropping event items also. Reported to TinyCo.

I’m not getting any new eggs spawn in my town in the last 6hrs or so, and the last 4 eggs I cleared didn’t spawn any dinosaurs, and they were definitly purple before I pressed the check mark to clear them, so this has me at a standstill as I have no way of earning dinosaur claws. 😦

Exact same problem – no eggs spawned in 8+ hours and my last 3 eggs did not produce any dinos. Messaged TinyCo but no response yet. Tons of amber but no way to spend it with no eggs and no Dino claws.

Hopefully they fix it soon as the only other way of getting dino claws for freemium players, meaning there’s no way to progress in the event, but I’m confident that a fix will be applied sooner rather than later.

What are the little dinosaurs you get from hatching eggs. Gotten them a couple of times now but they don’t show up counting towards anything for me, just like the meat.

Anyone know what the ribs are for? I looked through the post, but I couldn’t find it… I’m on part 7 of the main questline and still have no idea.. Also, any idea how to get the leashes for Dino Peter? Or is that part just not available yet? I had only one “rare” ring pop drop in 5 days on the last event, so I’m just a little worried. Rare seems to be super duper extra rare these days.

Chris makes Amber 4 hours refining 1 hour 15 claws plus chance of up to 3 raptor foods.
Better off using the clams elsewhere.

I cleared the eggs and sometimes received items that looked like spare ribs in red color, which you can also get for some characters’ tasks. Other times, I also get little dinosaurs. I can’t find anywhere what these items were supposed to be for, and whether they do accumulate somewhere. FAQ did not mention too. Any ideas?

New issue – Dinos not spawning after pouring orange ooze on eggs. (100% sure I didn’t miss the eggs.) Sometimes the spawn has been delayed, but on the last two eggs I hit the dinos never showed up. The eggs were on roads right on the edge of the map, still need to test more, but potentially a brutal bug with Dino claws in such short supply.

If Dino tamer Peter is needed for the training pen,how,is it possible to unlock him since the training pen is the only thing to drop raptor leashes??

Use regular Peter to train the raptor.

You say the Bamboo Love Shack would drop 35 Dinosaur Claws… but mine says $45. What the deuce!? Anyone else has this problem? I’m curious…

I’m having the same, no claws from the love shack or from raptor Chris.
There have been quite a few more bugs than usual recently. I’ve messaged them a couple of times but heard nothing back.

It’s a 6h task for Chris – do a spit take. The shack doesn’t drop claws so that is actually correct that it isn’t doing so in your game.

Have you heard anything about Dino-Chris? It said he was supposed to give 15 claws but I purchased him and so far I don’t see any task that gives you 15 claws. Is this a task that comes later or is it a glitch?

QUESTION about unlocking Dino Tamer Peter:
I’ve searched the community/comments and I can’t find any info on what is needed for the Raptor Leashes.
I’m concerned because we need 15 and they are rare!
[We only needed 4 rare Ring Pops to unlock Blueberry Peter and I had to buy 2 on the final day!]
To get the Asteroid Pamphlets (6, uncommon) I understand we will need to unlock the Asteroid Prevention Center, which requires 172 Dino Claws and 6 Raptor DNA. So at least I have some idea of that goal.
Anyone have any information on what is required, I’d appreciate any help. Thank you!

I’m pretty sure you get them training the velociraptor but I’m not quite there yet. Will see if I can get confirmation from Bunny 🙂

I can confirm they are a drop from training the raptor, which needs the raptor unlocked and the raptor training pen. Then, it takes Peter, the raptor, and 3 meat to start a 5.5 hour action that can drop 5 leashes.

Well, TinyCo finally figured out that SOME of us are blind as bats and lacking in hand-to-eye coordination. Not only are the eggs stationary objects so for once they can’t get away from the purple zone before we hit the trigger – they also emit a long plume of sparklies for us to follow… Thanks, TinyCo!

I have an egg that can’t be hatched. It looks the same as the other and brings up the same refined amber tool as the other eggs when tapped, but no matter what I do it won’t go purple when the target is over it, so I can’t do anything with it. Is this the same for anyone else?

You’re right. They’ve fixed it so the stars glow purple now too, which enabled me to see I had something in the target & then discover there were two eggs directly on top of each other!

Really weird glitches here. The Asteroid Prevention Center showed up in my shopping cart and I was able to buy and place it without having to create the blueprint in th Welcome Center. Nice, you would think. The only problem with it is that I can’t finish that part of the quest as the Create the Blueprint job isn’t cleared. It also shows the the Center is still available in the shopping cart once the blueprint is created.
The Path Blueprint is locked in the Welcome Center and I can not create it to be able buy the Path. The Path shows up in the shopping cart, but states you need to create the blueprint in the Welcome Center first.
Is it possible to get 6 dinos from one egg? I thought they only spawned three dinos, but I had what looked like one egg spawn 6 dinos and thought maybe there were two eggs stacked and the DNA juice hit them both.

I had one egg that spawned 6 dinos, too. May be a glitch, but I’ll take it! 🙂 I now have the same thing you do with the Asteroid Prevention Centre, too: It appears in my Shopping Cart twice; once with Blueprint requirement, once apparently ready to buy at a cost of 300 clams. I think I will wait until I buy the blueprint before I try buying the building, just in case…

I also still had one in the shopping cart as if I could buy it again. Creating the blueprint cleared the actual item out of my shopping cart. It also cleared the task.
