Look out as something wicked this way comes, but what, but what? It’s the Weekly Challenge! Yes week 3’s challenge is hurtling upon us….. Help!!!
As always these aren’t called a challenge for nothing, they can be extremely difficult to complete, especially for freemium players. Many see these as extra fun for premium players but that doesn’t mean a freemium player can’t do it, it just depends where you are in the game and sometimes a lucky guess at what items to stockpile whilst you wait for the challenge to drop. The prizes to date have always been decorations, with the odd building as a Grand Prize, so I wouldn’t advocate spending clams on these, but as always the choice is yours.
Anyway this week’s challenge, if you should choose to accept it, seems not too difficult after everything I said above, it should work in tandem with what a lot of us will be doing right now, clearing demons and ghosts, if you manage to complete it you will be rewarded the Jaundiced Demon decoration.
What do you need to do to complete it, well here’s the deal, you will need to complete the Low-Budget Exorcists task which consists of:

Clear 32 Ghosts
Clear 32 Demons
YOU HAVE 48 Hours IN WHICH TO COMPLETE ALL PARTS.

I had about 15 rock salt collecting dust, & decided to get rid of them all, so I did. God only knows how many ghosts I got rid of.
I s**t you not, it wasn’t even FIVE minutes later when this challenge appeared in my tasks! I was kicking myself in the *ss, cuz before I got rid of them I thought “maybe I’d better just hang onto these in case for some reason, I eventually need to clear ghosts – especially considering I have over 700 ectoplasm accumulated anyways”. But I got rid of them because I didn’t think something from week one would come back to bite me/us in the ass. Lesson learned!
I ended up getting the Jaundiced demon anyways, but it could have been A LOT less time consuming.
I’ve only been playing for about two months, in the regular questline I’m just now finishing up “build a blimp”. So I don’t know what to expect as well as many of you. But from now on, I’m going to use only those items needed to advance, & allow anything I don’t “need” to use to accumulate, just in case something like this happens again – I’ll be far better prepared & will be able to take advantage of everything I’ve accumulated to complete side tasks/weekly tasks!

First off, a big thank you to all the moderators for all your work. Your site has helped me out more than once, so I’m hoping you can help me out now. The week three challenge hasn’t dropped for me yet. I’m playing on Facebook on a PC. I’ve cleared the cache and restarted many times. I’ve also been to the Rocky Point Hotel many times to check there. My concern is that I might not have gone far enough in the quest line to trigger it, I’m only on Return to Rocky Point Pt.12. I also messaged TinyCo but haven’t heard back. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Usually the challenge triggers a few parts into the relevant weekly queast, in this case Face Your Demons. Perhaps someone else can clarify which part?

I can’t say with 100% accuracy but the pattern I’ve seen is you need to be few parts into the secondary main Questline as well, in this case its Face Your Demons, I was at Pt. 4 of this when it triggered. So maybe try do few Pts and whilst waiting gather Rock Salt & Sage.

Anyone have James Woods disappear? Was working on getting him and all the sudden he’s not in the parking lot of the motel area …or anywhere? Any ideas?

He was part of Case 1 which has now ended, you can no longer unlock him now we are in Case 2.

Finished this I 1 hour. I remember when the challenges were much harder, or does it just seem that way? Lol.

man dont complain lol. For a while you pretty much had to spend clams to finish at least one of these challenges (or need alot of a certain item to do the challenge while you HAD to use the same characters to get drops for characters or whatever). And Im not usually a clam complainer here. Bad enuf if you dont spend clams you are lucky to have one character earn drops to do things. (I have spent alot of money in the game in the past LIKE ALOT. so im not a freeloader player complaining here lol.)

Just need a few more ghost. I had all my demons out and in the hotel so that was easy. Should had been stock piling ghost too. Not as happy with this one since it’s just a lime green version of the Krumpus I have. I know that it’s called something else but it’s Krampus. Maybe it has different animation at least.

I wish there were more people producing bug spray. My hotel is over run with buggy aliens. I am not going to waste clams to speed up time when most times they don’t produce anything.

Right now it seems to be all about collecting for demons and spacemen, so I don’t think I’ll be trying to get ghosts

Yeah, I had enough Rock Salt built up knock out the 32 ghosts right off.
