Cause look who’s swung into town, yes it’s Monkey Kong, a fun new character for our towns, even if his timed unlock has been driving some of you bananas.
Let’s take a look at what Monkey Kong can do in our silly lil games.
Monkey Kong is a new Character added during the second Phase of Quahog’s Not So Silent Night. As with (almost) all Characters in TQFS in order to unlock her you’ll have to collect lots of STUFF.
For Monkey Kong, the STUFF you have to earn for her firstly revolves around placing the Scaffold Tower into your game, this costs $1000 from the store.
When you place the Scaffold Towel, you will see Monkey Kong outside. Tapping on his Lock Icon will show you the Materials you need to collect to bring him into the game. You then have 7 days to unlock him or he will leave your game.
Requires
40 Bongos (Uncommon): Barrel Box
100 Banana (Rare): Clear Turtles
6 Hammers (Common): Building Blocks Construction Site
10 Neck Tie (Rare): Bejeweled Troll House
Have Peaches Fight Like a Princess: 4hrs

Monkey Kong is part of the Pixels Pals FaceSpace set, collect them all and you’ll get 15 free clams.

Okay, so Bongos are supposed to be uncommon, but I’m only getting one every ten barrels or so! I unlocked everything else but I fear these bongos will be the death of me! Why are my bongo drops so rare?!

Sorry if it’s been mentioned already, but I didn’t see it. Can someone tell me how many clams it takes to buy off Peaches’ action? I want to wait to place Monkey until I have all the proper buildings, but I’m not getting Peaches anytime soon (still working on Q*bert) and short on candy canes.

These neck ties are ridiculous. 0/10 after 6 drops with 5 days left on the timer. 20/40 bongos, 51/100 bananas and hammers are done.

I’m doing good so far on Kong. Neckties is the “?”, but I think it will work out. I have 4 out of 10 and 5 days left so I’m not too worried yet.

I unlocked Monkey Kong yesterday, yet I’m still getting Bongos, (which I thought at first glance looked like pints of Guinness 😊), from the Barrel Box! Is anyone else experiencing this?

Just chiming in with status on the Big Guy! Just started the timer yesterday….at 6 days left now. Need 30 more bongos (currently have 20 barrels to open), need 80 more bananas (currently have 13 barrels), need 10 neck ties (just placed troll house today) and of course have Peaches task to do when she’s unlock (1 power up and 600 canes to go).

I unlocked peaches late yesterday and now need 400 stuffers for the tie building, I have all the letterboxes, most of the bananas and half the bongos…i feel I am on track and will continue to use resources on Kong before I throw effort into the next update phase. Just hope the tie drops are kind to me 🙂

The building for ties changed in my game. Said it was 90 stuffers instead of 850. Don’t know if it was a glitch or not but Double check yours

Please can someone tell me how often the turtles replenish after you have destroyed them all?
I only have 1 day left to get Kong and all I need is bananas now. I have 4 barrels but no turtles to aim them at since the last lot I blasted.
I’m not holding my breath about getting him but it’s frustrating that I could be earning these blasted bananas if only new turtles would appear.
Does anyone know how long it takes for new ones to arrive or if anything triggers them?

Some are released on rotation with Wizards and Sams from the clock tower, however I find every 3 hours or so when I go into my game a batch of 5 or so just appear in my game.

Did the task, have the hammers. Have about 30 bananas, 4 ties and 6 bongos. Today is day 5 for the ape, I hope that I get him it seems that bongos are the hardest item for me (only have chris, herbert and the building gathering barrel boxes for me)

Only half way to get peaches (stocking stuffers) so haven’t bothered claiming the buildings that drop neck ties or hammers. Saving those resources for the next phase and passing on this one.

Can we use any the old characters we got from last 2 Christmas episodes. I found the Santa I ulocked last year gives me candy canes.
So does anyone know what or if there are others we can use. I ulocked the princes from a prevous game, is she give anything? I cannot really investigate because my iPhone 4s broke and I’m stuck trying to use a iPhone 4. But that one keeps crashing after 5 minutes.

I have four with just under four days to go. While it is frustrating that drops are so slow I believe they will all come in even if just before the timer runs out. That seems to be the pattern if I am timely with my collections.

How many neck ties is everyone at right now? I have 4/10. I sent a comment in game to ask to increase the drops. I placed the building that drops them before I even placed Monkey Kong and started the timer.

8/10 with about 30 hours left! That’s the last thing I need! I guess I loudly complained for nothing, cause it’s worked out. I actually collected all the stocking stuffers needed for those hard ones.

I placed the bejeweled building that drops the ties before I placed Monkey Kong. I only have 2 ties with less than three days left and I check the building right about every 8 hours! I’ve cleared everything but the ties. At this rate, I’ll be lucky if I have 4 ties when my timer expires. I guess I’ll miss out on this big ape. Clearly a character that requires spending clams on.

I’ve been trying to hold out before I place Monkey Kong. If I get the buildings, will the ties and hammers start dropping before I place him? I’m 800 stocking stuffers and 3 stars away earning Peach and I’m trying to prioritize.

No the drops don’t show in the buildings until you’ve placed Monkey Kong in your game.
