It’s not exactly been the thrilla in Manilla trying to unlock this Killa costume. It’s been tough, I guess we now know how Peter feels after an epic battle with Giant Chicken, battered, bruised but hopefully victorious.
Kung Pow Giant Chicken was the final super frikn’ hard character costume to unlock in the 4th and final Phase of the Kung Pow Quahog event.
Let’s take a look at what Kung Pow Giant Chicken can do in our silly lil games.
Kung Pow Giant Chicken is a Character Costume added during Kung Pow Quahog 2017. As with (almost) all Characters in TQFS in order to unlock him you’ll have to collect lots of STUFF.
Note: To find the full CHARACTER Kung Pow Giant Chicken, as opposed to the battle version, you’ll need to look in the shop. Here you can find his unlock requirements.
Requires
8 Feathers: Get from defeating Killer Kung Pow Giant Chicken in the fight arena.

He does come with a Questline, Another Chicken Fight, more on that in another post.
Kung Pow Giant Chicken does come with a complete set of Tasks! Tasks that will help you earn $$$ and XP.

So I had something interesting happen is that I was reading the comments and it does not seem to be a normal thing.
So I had house from the New Year’s events for the giant chicken but I did not manage to unlock him. But during week 3 after I beat him he was standing there with the unlocked icon shown over his head. Last time the game accidentally gave him to me they took him away less than a day later but it has been almost a full week now.

Quite a few players got him this way, and hopefully TinyCo won’t take him back this time. Players have done their best to unlock him on many attempts, each time it was a tough ask. So I think they need let this one go, and sort out putting him in Tan Lines for a few Stewie Bucks for anyone who missed out again.

Got two feathers so far but not really been trying hard to get this because it’s only a skin (since I got the chicken character in its original event). A nice event through and through though, I really liked the relaxing last week to get everything sorted for the next challenge. Well done TinyCo! 🙂

Got him first thing this AM! I will likely miss out on the Pit and at least one chopstick prize (I used a lot of chopsticks building a wall on the “south” end of town).

I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to get him, but the revive potions from the building and the dragon helped a lot in getting Chris to fight more often, and he just has 10 HP left for my last fight that I need, so he should soon join my town!
Amazed that I was able to get just about everything (it looks like I’ll be just a bit short of rice balls for one of the last prize track prizes) without spending any clams. Hopefully this becomes the norm in the game in the future.

I got the outfit the other day. It’s the hardest I ever worked for a mere costume. I had hoped it would come with a clam reward task like Black Jesus. But I do have to admit that the visuals are pretty cool on some of his tasks — even if the coin rewards are no better than his regular tasks. TinyCo really needs to give us an option to split these costumes into full characters that are playable like Dorothy Lois and Sir Peter. From here on out, TinyCo should do nothing but new characters. We need a moratorium on costumes. There are already way too many to scroll through.

Especially Peter. I haven’t bought any of the premium costumes for him, and between the “main” quest and the events, I currently have 34 costumes for him, in addition to his base outfit. That’s kind of excessive, and some seem a bit redundant as well (e.g. Superman Peter / Captain Hammered, Rollerblade Bikini / Intimate Apparel, and 3 different Christmas outfits).

NO MORE COSTUMES!! For the love of God, TinyCo, replace all costumes with new characters for Tan Lines. And gives us something good to buy with all those Stewie Bucks.

I JUST earned Kung Pow Chicken – finally – but all I got was the ‘regular’ Giant Chicken. Anyone else experienced this?

Og my god, no I didn’t… And that was exactly what I needed to do. Don’t know why I didn’t think to do that myself since it has been the answer to these missing skins so often before. Thank you so much for tip 😀
