Do I Want That? Poodle Stewie

So you think you’re as rich at Carter Pewterschmidt? Own a fancy house like Buzz Killington? You sure gotta lot of clams there, whatcha gonna do with them?

Now hold on there a minute. Are you SURE you want that? With all these cool Return To The Dog Multiverse limited time event items in the game, it is very easy to get carried away. Before you know it, Clamshell Shock! All gone!

So before you go ahead and buy Poodle Stewie with your hard-earned Clams, here’s a few things you might want to know about him.

Character: Yes, this is a Full Character
Clam Price: 250 Clam IconClams
Unique: Yes

  • It’s Stewie
  • A New Full Character and NOT a costume
  • Task to Attack Mailman
  • 2 very cute Animated Tasks.
  • Fully tasked with Questline
  • 1 Temporary Event Limited Animated Task
  • Stewie looks more like a little lamb than a poodle, perfect for Spring in your Quahog
  • At 250 Clams, you’re getting a Character that is cheaper than many of Stewie’s costumes have been, which usually carry a 270 Clam price tag or come in Clam draining Mystery Boxes
  • Part of the Dawg House FaceSpace Set which is worth 10 Clams if you complete.
  • Chance Drop of 5 Golden Dog Bones

  • Frakkin 250 CLAMS!!! It’s still a lot, especially if you’re not in the Stewie Fan Club.
  • Won’t be useful after the Event

I wanted to give you an overall idea of how he COULD benefit your game play. And it’s simple you can use Poodle Stewie to clear Mailmen, letting you build up the essential resources they drop quicker. He will give you a head start, as you otherwise can’t Attack Mailmen until you’ve unlocked Dog Peter. How much of a head start is hard to say at this time as the Task is 6hrs long and the drops are all chance, none are always. So to be honest he isn’t essential to progressing as you will eventually have Dog Peter to do this but Poodle Stewie will let you start now, and of course he will help you clear more each day. And of course when Golden Dog Bones do drop you get 5.

So basically his Attack Mailman Task is 6 hours long, so you will be able to clear up to 4 more Mailmen in any 24 hour period than you could with Dog Peter alone. And of course you can be using the task up to 4 times a day whilst unlocking Dog Peter. So that’s the main gameplay benefit of this buy.

Final Thought:

Personally, as you all know by now, I love everything Stewie, and it pains me that so many of his costumes and alternate characters are in Mystery Boxes, so when I saw this was a straight premium buy, I grabbed it before I even knew what he would do in this event. So I’m being honest here, I was going to buy Poodle Stewie no matter what. But if your clams are scarce, think whether or not getting in those Mailman attacks every 6 hours is really worth all those clams, when the drops are chance and not always. Personally I’m not sure if it is worth the clams as so far all I’ve got from the task is one Knotted Rope and no Golden Dog Bones, there really should have been an always drop of at least 1 of them for the task. But then when Golden Dog Bones do drop you get 5, and again I’m getting a start on unlocking Spaniel Lois, so I’ve got a much wanted character, I’ve been waiting for this to drop for nearly 2 years, and it’s helping me in the event. So this premium character ticks both the boxes for me to be more than happy to drop my clams.

With it being part of a Limited Time Event, just make sure you make up your mind as once the event is over it is most likely they will be gone. In the end it’s your call.  What you buy and what you don’t buy is your own personal choice we can only guide you on the facts and let you know what we did and what we think.  But don’t purchase it until YOU are sure. ALL SALES ARE FINAL!

  1. OMG, has it really been two years since the first Dog Multiverse event?
I too have been waiting, just didn’t think it was that long!
Had to have Poodle Stewie, though – I went so far as to buy the Dictator Poodle Stewie last time, so …

    • Think Poodle Stewie will be one the more popular premiums, and thankfully he wasn’t in a mystery box. I’d have been gutted if he was and probably bankrupt 😉

  2. I got him to complete my griffin dog collection.

  3. Aww, he’s truly adorable but I don’t have the clams so must pass.

  4. He is a cute little character but… after the clams I dropped on Griffin Rangers, man, I gotta take a break lol.

  5. I see where Bad Trip Stewie is available in Al’s for 190 clams in celebration of 4/20 – a little too much IMHO for a costume…but I’m pretty sure one Tigger might be shelling out the clams if she doesn’t have him already, LOL!

  6. Strangely, Poodle Stewie is supposed to go in The Dawg House with Dog Meg and Chris and eventually Dog Peter and Lois thereby giving you a 10 clam bonus, but for some reason Poodle Stewie is stuck in New Characters.

  7. i do want him but i have 230 clams only 😦

  8. I’m all about collecting characters, so despite the price, I pulled the trigger. The other thought was, hey it’s a mini-event with the potential for getting three new characters, so if Poodle Stewie helps me earn the other two, and between the three, I spend 350 – 400 clams, I’m good with that as tha would mean <150 clams per character…JMHO and my approach…

  9. as much as like to get him im trying to stock up clams so hes out of my reach 4 now

  10. I’m agree with you, when I saw this I didn’t care about if he thats good I just wanted another stewie costume/character that wasn’t in a mystery box and Stewie is my personal favorite character on family guy so it wasn’t hard to choose 🙂
