Quahog Excellent Adventure 101: Time Travel Colonial America

Addicts Phone Home!!! Yes? No? Okay let’s use the Phone Booth to time travel instead then!

With the new Quahog’s Excellent Adventure now live in the game, there is also a lot of new gameplay.

For this Event, much of that resolves around time travelling via the Phone Booth, and this post will cover our first destination, Colonial America.

In the lower right corner of your game screen, you will see 3 new icons next to your shopping cart. The one in the middle is for the Phone Booth that you will use this area to “travel” to places and acquire items to further help you along in the game.

As the game progresses, more locations will unlock for you to travel to. The first location you will see will be Colonial America.

To go to Colonial America, just select it from the Phone Booth Time Machine screen, the button will turn to a green “EXCELLENT”, tap on green button, you will now be taken to an alternate play area.

Colonial America Playspace

This is what the Playspace looks like. The first things you will notice as numbered above  are 1 Whigs n Twigs ~ General Store and 2 Phone Booth Crash Site.

WHIGS N DIGS GENERAL STORE (Craft Area)

Here is where you can trade items, in this Colonial area it’s Tea Bags to Craft Tea Crates which are used for clearing Generals.

It will take 2 hrs to turn 2 Tea Bags into a Tea Crate. You can create up to 6 Tea Crates at a time. Each one will sit until the one before it is complete, then autostart the creation process.

PHONE BOOTH CRASH SITE

This will be in the Center of the Colonial America Area. You will most likely see Characters on tasks at this location while in Colonial America, clicking on it will bring you up a list of characters and the tasks they are undertaking there. 1. Im mid way through e renaissance quest, but still have tasks to complete in colonial a,ercia. Do these ever stop or do they just continue until the whole event stops? Im at around part 7 now.

They continue, as you can trade in the older Time Capsules you get for newer ones, so worth completing them as you go along, some seem to go to Part 10 but not all.

  2. Can someone link me to where the info is for what you need to unlock Ted Logan ? I wanna know what I need before I place him but I can’t find anything about it

  3. Wouldn’t it be correct that you will need to buy 1-9 in order to complete “A New Excellent Adventure Pt. 8”, since one of those options is to complete the “Colonial Construction Pt 8” achievement? As a result, all of them are really needed to progress to Week 2.

Hi, the post was updated to reflect what was needed for final part of the main Questline, basically you need to repair the Horse Drawn Carriage and Paul Revere statue from the decorations, but not Woodcutters.

  4. Once you activate Ted at Mikes Musketeer Shop , which I stupidly did because I didnt realize it was timed I campe up with this plan:
GettyBurgers, needed for rare drops (so therefore needs more time)
Lincolns Log Cabin needed for 16 common drops
Lifeless Lincoln Theatre.for 8 common drops.
The swords come easily from the generals.
But it looks like I should be able to get Ted no problem (Note: I did buy Bill, so he helps me get the generals)

And yes, I have Clams for videos problems.
If you see a video is ready to be viewed while in Quahog, watch it!
Once you time travel, the video will not be in quahog when you come back.
I alerted tech support to the issue via in game message, but they didnt seem to interested in the issue.

    • Honestly… the “work” is more to get the Time Capsule Rewards you need for the Building/Decos unlocks in Colonial America. Abe is more a Side Bonus. Think… the weekly challenges each Event. I think there has only be ONE time in the life of the game anything other than Decorations were awarded. Otherwise, only Decos. I actually prefer a NON timed weekly challenge presented this way myself. No time limit other than the week itself. 🙂

  8. Clams for videos keeps messing up on. I have lost track on how many clams I have been cheated out of. I thought this issues was fixed. Anyone else having problems?

    • You will need to report any issues with Clam Awards directly to TinyCo from your in game messaging. That way they can track if there are specific devices having the issue and/or look into your game to see what is going on. Side Note: Clam Videos are actually controlled by a Third Party, not TinyCo… so resolution on fixes can take time as it is completely out of TinyCo’s hands when, how, or why those Clams Videos work. All they can do is check your game then… well… it is a waiting game on the third party to fix THEIR Videos.

Sorry. That is the best I can suggest.

  9. I’m kinda liking the way this event is playing in the early stages…little worried about getting Time Capsules for all the building unlocks we need to do, but I like the fact we get to strategize as to which building to unlock (if at all) as we progress…

    • To that end, anyone have an idea of the best order to repair these things in?

I did the Stars & Seamstress building to get Colonial Peter.

And then just wee while ago I activated Ted with the Mikes Musketeer Shop, GettyBurgers, next Lincolns Log Cabin, Lifeless Lincoln Theatre.

Finally Paul Revere Statue to complete this weeks Questline.

Just my plan, anyone else got one?

        • I did:
          1. Stars & Stripes Seamstresses
          2. Gettyburgers.
          plan on next –
          3. Lifeless Lincoln Theatre (to open both of the rare drop buildings for Ted)
          3. Musketeer Shop/Ted
          4. Lincoln’s Cabin

In that order I think I’ll be able to finish or come close to finishing the quest quest line before week 2 hits and also not have to worry about Ted’s timer at all.
