A Very Griffin Holo-ween: Achievement Tasks Third Wave

It’s Always Friday Somewhere!!

Phase 3 is in our silly lil games and with it a 3rd set of New Achievements Tasks has also been dropped into our game. These Tasks will help you to gain materials and progress along during the Event.

Let’s take a look at the Achievement Tasks for the Third Wave of A Very Griffin Holo-ween Event, and see what all you will encounter along the way.

WHAT ARE ACHIEVEMENT TASKS?

These are basically your “Side Questlines” for the Event. The main thing is unlike Side Questlines from other Events, these are actually VERY important to complete as soon as you can so you may earn as many payouts as they are providing. These payouts in return help you unlock critical items for your Event  progress… And not only that there’s Clams to be earned too.

HOW CAN I FIND THE ACHIEVEMENT TASKS?

You can get to the current Achievements Check List Screen by tapping on the Icon in the lower right corner of the game screen.

This will in turn take you to a Pop Up Screen showing all the current available Tasks you have unlocked so far.

You can also tap on “GO” on any requirement during a Questline or on a Characters Material Collection that states you need to complete an Achievment to complete the requirement.

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN TO CLAIM A TASK?

You will know a Task is ready to be claimed when you see CLAIM Icon over the Achievements Clipboard. NOTE: Don’t forget you have previous lists tucked in there too from previous Waves. So if you don’t see it on the current screen use the arrows to scroll to previous weeks Tasks and see the New Task

HOW DO I KNOW THERE IS A NEW TASK?

You’ll know you’ve got a New task available when you see the NEW Icon over the Achievements Clipboard. NOTE: Don’t forget you have previous lists tucked in there too from previous Waves. So if you don’t see it on the current screen use the arrows to scroll to previous weeks Tasks and see the New Task.

***HELPFUL TIP FOR ACHIEVEMENT TASKS***

While you are progressing through the Tasks, make sure you complete them and “CLAIM” them. The reason for this is you may miss opportunities to clear the next one after it if you do not.

For instance if you have a “hidden” Task to clear 3 CDC Zombies (Kill & Build Pt.5), but have not claimed the Task before it preventing it to appear (Kill & Build Pt.4) but go ahead and still used your Materials to clear 3 CDC Zombies, you essentially just missed your chance to “kill two birds with one stone” and complete both. So you will then have to gain MORE Materials to do it all over again.

Example of what I am talking about…

If you have completed Kill & Build Pt. 4, and the CLAIM option is hovering over the icon, but you ignore it…

Kill & Build Pt. 4
Build Haunted Well Warehouse: Cost~ 8 Brains
Reward: 2 Eyes

You now will NOT be able to see Kill & Build Pt. 5. So you may be clearing CDC Zombies, using precious Materials and Weapons, and missing out on something that has not been triggered yet. Wasting Materials that could have benefited you. This will mean that when you finally get around to CLAIM Pt. 4, you will then again have to kill 3 more CDC Zombies to clear the NEW Task when you could have already did it had you tapped on CLAIM and triggered it.

Kill & Build Pt. 5
Kill 3 CDC Zombies
Reward: 6 Hands

***In short, as soon as you see CLAIM go and CLAIM it. Trigger the next NEW Task in line as it will help you progress faster, not waste Materials, and save time creating Weapons with each step you make***

ACHIEVEMENT TASKS WAVE 3

Here is the list of what I currently see in my game for the Third Wave Achievement Tasks Check List. Remember: You will only see a small amount of Tasks at a time and you will NOT see more until you complete ones there already and/or progress in Main Questline, giving you access to the item/area you need to complete the Tasks.

NOTE: This is not all of them, I only noted up to the ones I had triggered so far… so more will come. I will update when I can.

MISSING TASKS

As Tasks appear when you complete one prior to it, you will NOT see all these Tasks in your Achievement Screen. Only when you trigger them through game progress, so don’t worry if you are not seeing all listed above. They will eventually appear as you clear more and more Achievement Tasks.

WHAT IS THE FINAL PRIZE FOR WAVE 3 ACHIEVEMENTS?

Each Week a New Bonus/Final Prize will show up that you can try to earn by completing the set amount of Tasks required for that Wave. Third Wave Requires you to complete at LEAST 54 Achievement Tasks.

At the end of Completing at least 54 Tasks for the Third Wave as they trigger, you will see the COMPLETE Button turn into a Highlighted Green Button under the prize in the Achievement Task Screen. Tap on it.

You will then be taken to the Reward Screen, then to the Prize so you can place it.

Well Dweller: This is an Animated Decoration of the Girl in the Well from The Ring. The animation is her glitching in and out while she is hovering inside of the well.

  1. I’m stuck lagging behind a bit on the Building an Arsenal achievement. I’ve spent loads of time building crossbows and everything else to kill and collect items for Jigsaw and Creeper. Now I’m at part 9, have all the items I needed for the characters but still need another 5 crossbows and then to complete the other 3 tasks.

Sometimes you wish they’d take into account other actions – ie created (probably) 100 crossbows… but still need another 12 to be able to progress.

  2. Oh. Well dweller is one of my favorite items which I display in my town all the time. 2 of the same decor? Double the creepiness!

  3. Does the creeper disappear if you don’t unlock him before the timer runs out or is that just to collect the bonus?

  4. I kept thinking this is so familiar. It’s because I already have it in my animated section. So strange they would make it an achievement prize. Plus, 54 is the highest yet!
I can’t be the only one who has it already. Lol

  5. I’m seeing a part 10 to Ganging Up For Victory. It’s to start an order for 4 crossbows and pays 4 eyeballs.

For some reason, the counter on the bottom says 0/12 instead of 0/4? So idk what that’s about.

It will take me about 9 hours to finish it because I’m following the pattern for Building An Arsenal and I already had a full cue. But once I get there, I’ll let you know if there’s more or if that’s where that line ends for me. 🙂

    • Nope, that was it. It ended after part 10.

This was in no way trying to sound like I was complaining. I can’t imagine how much work it is to keep up with the various posts you guys put out each week. Just trying to help out in any way I can. 🙂

    • Thanks Katie, I saw the create 4 crossbows but didn’t look at the progress bar and I’ve completed it so can’t check it.

      • I’m assuming it was tracking how many crossbow bolts you used instead of how many crossbows you made. Which is a weird way to track for that achievement, but if worked out. Each crossbow I ordered made the meter go up by 3, so the achievement does require what it says it does.

  6. I really do like the format of these Achievements – the ability to work towards something during the entire event (as opposed to a day or two for the Weekly Challenges) is an aspect that has been missing in the game for quite some time.

But jeez, did they have to recycle this week’s prize from last year’s “The Hauntening” event? I understand that maybe some new players might not have it, but wouldn’t TC usually put that kind of item in the store as a returning item (at a “discount” rate)? It just makes the payoff so anti-climactic, especially if the margin for error is as tight as it looks.

What’s next, a single square of “Haunted Sidewalk”?
