Winter Summer Reunion Event Addicts Area!!!

It’s time to get the music turned up as we’ve a K-pop festival hitting our games with the Winter Summer Reunion Event, arriving in Quahog. Yup you asked for a readers page where you could share event tips & tricks and I’ve only gone and called your bluff and created one. So here’s where you can lay all your  event progress on the table for your fellow addicts to see.

And it’s also where you can share any strategies or advice, hey you can even share your gig memories. So c’mon Addicts let’s do this together.

Apart from that I’ll see you all in the live post later.

  2. If you’re struggling with the duplicate issue as I am, I’ve found that sending the duplicates to the same task helps keep them in the building where the task is assigned. If one character is on task and the other is wandering the streets, I’ve found that, when the task is complete and I tap the check mark, the drops occur from the character on the street, not the one in the building. It’s maddening to then have to track the character down on the street and send them back to task, especially if you are using a certain costume. For example, Tweeked Out Peter is being used to drop Hot Dogs for American Johnny, but if regular (duplicate) Peter is wandering the street, that’s where the drop will occur. The base character is the default duplicate, so not only do I need to find Peter, I have to scroll through his costumes each time to find the correct one.

It’s not consistent as far as I can tell, but it seems that if I send the duplicates to duplicate tasks, when I re-enter the game and clear their task, they emerge from the building in the right costume.

I can have seen up to three duplicate characters in the game at one time, but only two can be sent to task – and always only one counts when the task is complete…so no duplicate drops. (Gee, that would have been a nice glitch…) It’s not a perfect system – my duplicate issue manifests itself as soon as I enter the game – if I can clear a task before the duplicate appears or if I send duplicates to the same task, the character seems to drop and come out of the building correctly…if not, I’m searching the streets…

I did get a response back saying they (TC/JC) is aware of the issue (gee, thanks?) and that they are working on a resolution…great…meanwhile, it’s a little crazy…I’ve shoved as many as possible into Tan Lines, but I still have 40 or 50 duplicates wondering the streets at any one time…I’ve always limited streets the amount of streets, especially in events where one needs to clear bad guys, so now I’ve had to try and design a street area that is big enough to limit congestion, but not so big that it takes forever to find a character…it certainly adds a level of frustration to the game…

I hope they get this one fixed soon…any one else have any strategies for dealing with the duplicates during the event? I’m open for any suggestions…

    • The only thing I do is before the click on the completed task characters and place all the “clones” and others not used in Tan Lines. I usually have about 97/99 spots still left over in there, so I don’t have any extras still running around. Then I just go through and click on the completed tasks, and since they don’t actually go “in” tan lines, but it shows them as being in it (they go behind the building itself, if you click back there, you’ll click on one of the characters… It’s weird)

With all the clones and extras in Tan lines, it makes it easier to go through and click the characters used for the event (or getting characters leveled up).

It also seems like this has only happened to people at high levels. I have a 2nd account that I use for other purposes, that doesn’t have the “clone war” issue, and that one is a lower level. My main one is around level 93, and the other is around level 40.

You could also set up a piece of sidewalk area further away from the main and drag and drop characters to that spot, but since you have like 40 or 50 dups still running around, that might be pretty time consuming though. =\

  4. Can you only pop one balloon at at a time with the gun? I feel like I will have 3 or 4 lined up but sometimes it will only pop one and sometimes none. The green target is always over the parade balloons but I haven’t had much success so far. It’s horrible! Is there something I’m doing wrong?
