Popping parade floats MINI-GAME

***CLICK HERE FOR POST ON THIS***

With the new event we are seeing the return of an old style mini-game.

In order to be able to participate you’ll need to collect a BB Gun, you’ll get them here:

BB Gun (Common) –  Get from Rambo Lois Look At The Floats, American Johnny Order Kiminci, Plastic Surgery Peter Enjoy The Reunion, Buy From Store

Once you have a BB Gun just tap on the Gun Icon in the bottom right of your screen.

After tapping on this, the mini game will appear.

You will see on the top of the screen the Rewards you can win from Parade Floats. The amount of BB Guns  you have available in the Lower Left. The SHOOT button in the Lower Right. (If you’ve no BB Guns it will show Need More) Then in the center, you will see the circle that is essentially your target that you will use to get the Floats. You can also see the target is orange, this is because it’s not on any Floats, it will turn green once you are. Don’t SHOOT is the target isn’t green as below. You’ll just waste BB Guns.

This is really an “Aim n Shoot” kind of set up. You wait for a minute while the Floats fly around, then move the circle to target them. It should turn green when a Float is in target, I’ve found you need to place the small centre of the target on the middle of a Float for it to turn green, so you want it on either the M’s in Summer or on the N or T in Winter. But the secret of this mini-game is to try target more than 1 Float, so be patient and wait until you see a group of Floats bunched together then target them and quickly hit SHOOT.

To do this put your finger on the Target in the middle of the screen and drag it around to where the group of Floats are that you want to get. Try to make sure they overlap the MM in Summer or NT in Winter, as this is the target area of the Floats. Remember you’ve a better chance of capturing more if they are really close to or/and on top of one another like above.

You will then be given Rewards depending on how many Floats you destroyed with your BB gun. I’ve managed to destroy 3 at once at most so far.

The rewards you get will vary on how many Floats you destroy at a time.

Per FLOAT Destroyed:
1 Banana or 2 Bananas (Chance)
1 Confetti (Chance)

Paparazzi

These are the little baddies this week of the event and are quite simple to deal with, it’s just more of the tap, aim and fire we’ve seen in previous events. Before you can clear them you’ll need to get a Banana, you’ll get them here:

Banana (Common) –  Get from Popping Parade Floats

Once you have a Banana you will find Paparazzi wandering  around your sidewalks.

Simply tap one of them to bring up the targeting screen.

Then move the net until the green target circle is on a Paparazzi to clear it.

I am seeing up to a maximum of 16 in my game.

The event rewards for clearing Paparazzi are as follows:

Per Paparazzi:
1 Make-Up (Chance)
1 Film Reel (Chance)

There you have the overall basics to get you started through the first Week of the latest Event. Where are you so far? Anything particular you like the most? Suggestions or tips to fellow players? Let us know.

  1. I had stopped playing for a while due to frustrations with the game and then enjoyed the 5 year anniversary event.
Frustrations returned as I hate buying character skins, feel completely misled by the developers as next to “Plastic Surgery Peter” it said character, clearly now I have it this was not the case. Wish I had read up here first! 🙁

    • You could message them but in future best way to know is to remember anything that is bought in or created through Al Harrington’s will be a costume

  2. I notice a few mistakes they made on this event. Like in the “Help” section they have Characters/Skins used, they have Jerome there twice. Connie’s task states that she drops hair product, but when you click on her, that task shows she drops Family book, and Plastic Surgery Peter his quest chain shows Pt 2 twice. I have contacted Tinyco about it, So I’ll probably just get the famous scripted text. You know the one “I will let the developers know… blah blah blah” lol

    • Sometimes it happens and always good let them know, as they fix anything I bring to their attention. But to be fair their FAQs have improved greatly from few years ago.

  3. Bought my first ever premium event building with 99 of my 5542 free clams, the K-BBQ! Was surprised to see that it was only placeable in Quahog, not in the event area. Much more surprised that, when I tap it, shows only coins and xp as drops every 24 hours, no freaking bottles!

Looks like my first premium event purchase is also my last.

    • I bought the Pouring Soju Bottle and although it doesn’t show the Bottles as a drop it does indeed drop them. But be watchful of your 24 hour timer on the K-BBQ as for some reason last few events these kind of buildings haven’t shown an icon when it’s time to collect.

  4. So far it’s impossible to hit more than one balloon. 100% over multiple balloons it only gives one.
    Not good ;(
