For those who are wondering where Phase 2 is, well it’s looking like we’ve another delay.
As time goes on it’s looking likely we might be looking at Thursday 29th, PDT before we see any new content now. If it’s delayed further than this I’ll update you.
***Update, TinyCo have confirmed they are hoping for that Thursday release but it’s not guaranteed***

This event feels more broken than usual. Buildings and characters are still dropping stuff for Lois’s costume and Corey when they’ve both long since been unlocked. Character graphics look bigger or smaller than normal compared to other characters. And the same week two ramp-up (three laptops per try, only one battle character because Corey’s worthless now) is seriously hurting progress.

Okay, so it obviously didn’t happen on Thursday, or even Friday (at least if you’re in Europe) so is there at least some hope for a Saturday release with the second week? Starting to look like it’s going to be more like half a week for either the second or third week, at least if they stick to the recent concept of not extending the event even though there has been serious delays…

I don’t mind the delays but I wish they would adjust the playing time to match what is intended and make that clearly known instead of sticking to a pre-determined calendar and forcing players to make decisions when time is just extended but not announced until after the deadline has passed. Just give us a week from when the new content drops and give us a week from whenever the third week content drops instead of sticking to this September 11 end date. They are delaying the drops of this content but not letting the players know that end dates are changing. If the content is expected to be completed in a week, then change the deadlines so players get the full week. It has been stated that they are adjusting the requirements because of a smaller window of availability but we are not seeing that at all. This myth that content needs to be dropped on Wednesdays and events need to run Wednesday to Wednesday is over. I would rather the content drops and we are given a week if they can’t stay on the schedule they have dictated.

I don’t understand why they are having so many issues. Every event is just an old event with a different skin. Usually they don’t even bother changing the labels. Many old attributes are used too.
They just have to load in the new graphics on top of a previous event, work out how many things are required so you almost get them but have to use a few clams to complete, then publish it.

That would be simple but for the fact old events also had issues and glitches and when you pull over that coding they come with it. Plus not everyone is having issues, I’ve not had any on my most up to date devices but on the older ones, lots problems. So devices play a part, one of the problems with mobile apps is the sheer quantity of ways and devices to play on.

I haven’t had any issues either. They had plenty of time to fix previous events as they knew they’d reuse them. I’d not had any glitches before either, just waiting for the next phase each time.

It’s fixing them across the board that’s the issue, what works for one player doesn’t for another. They aren’t only ones having these kind of issues, EA have similar problem with Tapped Out.

Well Thursday came and went and still nothing. This is getting beyond ridiculous now, it seems they are getting worse with the maintenance of this game. Do they even care anymore?

Yes, they do, honestly, but the game won’t have the same size team as in its heyday 5 years ago.

each time so far that theyve delayed a release theyve extended the event by the same number of days (but seemingly forget to update the in-game timers or notify players) so id imagine it’d be the same here.
it’s a minor inconvenice to everyone to delay the release by a day or 2 than it is to roll it out with issues and then have everyone complain about it.
I work in software development and delays are an extremely common thing. For me though the issue here is the lack of communication from TC/JC. A pop-up message or an entry in the FAQ (as they have done in the past few events) goes a long way in keeping people placated.

Lol i actually got though week one a couple of hours early and now no 2nd week start. No big deal really, they can just extend the game a few days i suppose. I have characters walking around town and if week 2 doesn’t start tonight I’ll put Corey on his 10 hour quest task.

What would you do in the meantime? Keep fighting paparazzi and the social media maven to get polaroids, or hoard video editors for future combats? I’m thinking that it’s possible that fights start demanding 3 editors in the following phase, as it happened in previous events. I’m not sure what would be best.

I’m gathering Video Editors – did few battles for Polaroids but now just working on the Video Editors and letting character tasks deliver Polaroids.

im getting tired of this delay crap and we dont get extra two days cuz of the delays WE WANT SOMETHING OUT OF THIS not fair to finish this game if we dont get nothing out of it by the time we get to the deadline it to late to finish the game cuz all the delay we getting i know everyone know they getting tired of delays

I think everyone wants the delays to be over but until then we just need to get on with things or give up and find a new game. This is losing them players so they’ll want it fixed as much as we do.

I have to kinda agree with Blacklist….I said it last week in WTD that it could be taken as a money-maker strategy. I mean, how are you supposed to complete a week that, BY DESIGN, is supposed to take 7 days, then give only 5 or 6 days…..I know….spend real money! I’ll admit, I have totally spent money on this game in the past, when I chose to…….but when it feels like I’m being forced……that, I don’t like.

I honestly can say these delays are not deliberate to make money. If players spend money as a result of them, I’m sorry, but I personally wouldn’t. These delays are due to issues and glitches that the game team are encountering, believe me they want a normal scheduke resumed as much as we do.

Sometimes fixes don’t work, and other issues only crop up once it’s live. Nowhere can test on any every device on the market these days. But I’d hoped we’d have a period of calm, not to be.

i believe this is for the good of the game … also one new character doesn’t need a whole full week to get unlcocked anyway , not anymore with the fasr forward feature i think 3-4 days is tops

I am always amazed by how many people use words “forced” or “force” to buy clams or spend money. How do they force you? Nobody forces me to do anything. So, you miss a character or two. Perspective. How anyone would spend money on this game is beyond me.
