Glitch Bitch!!!

Whilst we’ve nothing else going on I’m trying to get an idea of the glitches still impacting players. So here’s where you can have a bitch about it all.

But as well as having a bitch about your glitch, please share the following info with me, I can then harass TinyCo some more:

  • The issue or glitch you have
  • How long you’ve had the isdue or glitch
  • Your device
  • Your operating system details, i.e. your version of android, iOS
  • Can you still play at all
  • Have you quit if are considering quitting due to an issue or glitch

  1. I’ve had the same issue with the media consultant guy… I bought the 4.99 bundle, and got the capes. Then my game keeps going to the middle of the forest. I’ve reloaded a few times… still nothing…. frustrating….

  2. Can not get through to tiny co customer support. It keeps telling me network error tap to retry, but when you do nothing happens.

  3. I just bought the cape and Media dude (forgot his name) bundle. I got the capes but the media dude disappeared. I checked my inventory but he wasn’t there, so I restarted the game. When the game reloaded, I found him standing on my small piece of road but there’s no unlocked icon above his head. When I click on him, my map jumps to the depths of the forest. I move my map back to the Media dude, click on him again, and my map again jumps to the forest area. I restarted my game again and now he is nowhere to be found.
    I just paid real money for this character and I can’t even play him.
    Also, I bought the 70s Joe bundle and experienced the glitch where he disappeared. I contacted TinyCo about the disappearing Joe glitch like you suggested, but they still haven’t responded to me.
    So, now I’m out over $10 bucks for characters that I can’t use.
    This WILL make me stop playing if I keep losing stuff I buy. And I spend a lot of time and real money on this game. I always buy the $4.99 bundles and I buy the $99 clams option each event so I can get all the event related items from the shop.
    I can still load the game and play but just not with those 2 characters.
    I have a Samsung Galaxy S9+.
    OS is Android 9.

    • Email them, give full details of both characters you’ve not got, 70’s Joe & Social Media Consultant. Attach your PlayerId, and any receipts for your spend. They are fixing these but support is swamped with all the different issues, but this should be fixed as a priority.

        I contacted TinyCo via the Contact Us feature in the game. I sent the screenshots of my bundle purchase receipts as proof of my purchases. They then added both 70s Joe and Social Media Consultant to my inventory with their apologies. All is well with the world again. Lol

  4. I had issue where game was crashing and wouldn’t load at all. TinyCo end up having to load a older backup before the issue happened. I had two of most everything including characters. Once the restore was done I’ve done the last two events okay.
    I was getting the add clams thing then stopped weeks back..

    I have not contacted them about this. But some time after the reset I have “Skating Through Life Pt. 1” wanting me to “Have Figure Skater Bonnie get Whacked”. I do not have that character so can’t continue on with it.

  5. Battling maven or papparazzi freezes and then crashes the game leaving Lois needing healing and no progress showing towards damage to the maven/papparazzi.

    Since the third part after earning Social Media Lois.

    I’m playing on an iPad, iOS 12.4

    I can still play. but I’m going to end up skipping this event if doesn’t get fixed.

    • Another player is using this to get round the issue “I figured out a workaround, l have to fast forward and hit go, just have to be really quick, before it freezes”.

  6. Very minor glitch, but, hey, you said all were welcome. Recently, I was bored with the game so I decided to “level up” all characters. I pulled from Tan Lines those that weren’t maxed and started sending them on tasks to max them out. I’ve been able to max out all characters other than the dinosaurs. Raptor is stuck at Level 7; Brontosaurus stuck at Level 3; and Stegosaurus stuck at Level 1. Frustrating.

    Also, why am I still bothering to collect Stewie Bucks, if I’ll never be able to use them for anything?!

    • The dinosaurs have been stuck like that for 3 years. They only leveled up during their event (each had their own specific “Training Pen” to do so), but then stopped once the event finished. Some bug in the coding, no doubt…
      Super annoying, but obviously not a priority for the Overlords to address. So throw it on the pile with Stewie Bucks, the Portal to the Underworld, landscaping decorations, and everything else that is defunct.

  7. The only glitch I am experiencing is from the current event, where buildings are dropping items no longer needed and characters earning items no longer needed. Other than that I have enjoyed a fairly glitch free game for 4 years.

  8. I have had a kooky one where Bonnie has an exclamation point over her head (like you see when a character triggers a questline). Tapping it doesn’t trigger anything, and it re-appears even if I put her on a task. And when I try to store her in inventory, she is back walking the streets the next time I launch the game.
    This has only happened during the small events where she isn’t needed – not during the current one. It has been this way for several weeks (I can’t say exactly how long as I have just kinda gotten used to it).
    I play on a Samsung Tablet with Android.
    It does not impact the playability of the game at all, it’s just weird. I never really considered mentioning it since I know that some players are dealing with serious issues (and the possibility of support making things worse while trying to fix it) made me think it best to let it slide.
    Not a big deal, just weird…

  9. I have only one glitch, but it is not impacting gameplay. When I startup the game, I get a message/popup telling me: “Congratulations. Hope you enjoyed the show. Here are your free clams!” And then a couple of clams are added. But eacht time I startup the game again, the previous added clams are gone, but then I get the same popup again, and the clams are added again. Not a big problem, but more of a little annoyance each time I start the game…

    • I had this problem too, I was using a LG V20 and I have a Tab E tablet also, both showed this issue. I have since upgraded to a Note 10+ and no longer have the issue. Also the game crashes about once a week now compared to possably a few times a day with my old phone. For me, It seemed that it was the older hardware that was the source of the glitches. Plus the game loads faster on the new phone.

    So, I have hardly played the game at all the last 6 months. I missed who events. I would have the game crash before it even started to load. I contacted them several times, gave all the info they asked for, only the last week or so, have I even had the game stay open. So now I can kind of play, until it crashes. Now the picture rarely changes to the blank green screen, but it goes to the black and white scramble screen and closes. I have learned my chances are better if I do not partake in certain things in the game, until I am done with the event tasks. Although that does not always work for the best either. So I have only buildings related to the event out around a small stretch of road, everything else is mostly stored away. I do not do the 3 daily tasks until last, if I do then. Videos for clams is a lady on the list to do also. Although I can go go for several days in a row without even being offered any to view. If there is an event annex area, that crashes. Sometimes it just crashes in the middle over and over, each time it is like you did not try anything. That is the worst of it constantly as of right now.

  11. My glitch is the repeating of You won clams every time I logon. TinyCo replied they were looking into it but nothing has been fixed. I notified them about it at least two weeks ago. Sounds like they got their hands full with other problems.

  12. The only issue I have is when I start the game I get 3 clams over and over again but they dont count, cause everytime I restart they arent there anymore (ah well I get them again)

    The Duplicate Situation…PITA, completely, but it’s not crashing anymore, so I guess that’s good…the bad part is I’ve tried numerous times to reach Jam City support, I’ve filled out their forms, I’ve e-mailed (which now only returns a auto-reply telling one to fill out the form, ugh…) numerous times, and…I got nothing…crickets…this one is a total PITA in many levels…first experienced this the first week of April…still there…

    Minor:
    * Tasks for characters/costumes I don’t have (Handler Stewie, for example);
    * The Clam loan at the start of the game, which is annoying but harmless;
    * Characters with tasks that reappear for items I’ve earned a while ago…I’ve taken to just do them if the character is not needed for the event as Jam City is not responsive;
    * Buildings that are REALLY BIG when you place them – I’ve found that if you move them/place them several times, they go to the right size;
    * The 2-hour speed-up task videos crashes the game about half the time…

    Android version 8.1, software version X410TK20d

    I’ve not really considered quitting the game, but it certainly has affected my enthusiasm for the game and has DEFINITELY affected the amount of clams I buy…I used to buy $20/600 clams every month or two, I think I’ve only spent $20 this year…I don’t mind paying for it, it’s part of my entertainment budget, if I think there’s value, I’ll buy, if not, I don’t…

  16. Every time I start up, I get Mort with a splash screen saying “Congratulations! We hope you enjoyed the show. Here are your free clams!” and +1 clam. (Same as what happens if you’re watching an advertisement, and it crashes.) It adds one to my clam total, but it takes it away the next time I start up, or if I visit Ollieland and come back.
    I have also seen once when I actually HAD a crash during the ad, Mort gave me +2 clams, and I got to keep one of them.
    This happens on an iPad 2018 (6th gen), iOS 12.4.1. It does NOT happen on an iPhone 6 also running iOS 12.4.1.
    It’s been going on for 2-3 weeks. It’s annoying, but is not preventing play.

    I’m done bitching about this glitch I think. After almost 2 days….it’s almost 11AM (TC/JC time) Friday of a 3 day holiday weekend. I say if week 2 doesn’t start within 4 hours…..Nobody’s gonna be working over the weekend. My advice….put ya devices down and enjoy the weekend….maybe Tuesday will bring some luck.

  18. I’ve had one main problem ever since I have been playing the game. No matter what update comes or event happens, my game on my Kindle Fire HD 10 tablet will randomly quit/crash. It’s like the recent TSTO glitch, but seems to be random and not dependent on anything going on with the game itself. I’ve been playin, I think, for a few years now and it happens almost daily, if not more than once a day. I don’t know what the OS name or version is on a Kindle Fire HD 10 tablet. Yes I can still play and no I won’t stop playing. With the constant quits/crashes, I sometimes have to restart the game several times and redo everything I was trying to do during the quits/crashes to make the progress/changes “stick” because crashes usually just invalidate everything I try to do as if I haven’t done it.

  19. Every time I go in to the game, I get a ‘congratulations’ notification saying that I’ve won approximately 44 clams. The clams are then added to my total at the top of the game. If I try to purchase something with the clams, I’m then told that I don’t have enough. It’s mostly just annoying, but I hate having to go through it every time I open the game. It doesn’t prevent me from playing anything (just purchasing or using the 44 clams because I guess they’re not really real). I have an Apple iPad.

  22. Glitch: Game Crashing
    How Long: Since the update to the current App release (1.91.0) last event
    Device: iPad running iOS 12.4
    Can you play? Yes. Just annoying
    Seems to be an overload issue – if I zoom out and move so the screen needs to redraw, or draw characters moving around, will overload and shut down. Issue happens less when I zoom in so far less is being drawn on the screen. Reset device and still there. More annoying than anything else, though can kick in if I’m going through a bunch of characters and sending them on jobs, the redraw to do the tasks screen can crash, and a bunch of the last few tasks are reset. Not ready to throw in the towel yet, but it makes me move a lot more slowly just to try and avoid the crashes.
