Update 2/5: The same pre-event update has hit for iOS users.  Remember…this is NOT the actual Event.  Not yet.  This is just preparing your device for when TinyCo “flips the switch”.

Hello There Clammers!

As a few of our Kindle players mentioned last night in the comments, TinyCo has released the basic update for Valentine’s Day to Kindle devices.  No, this is not THE Valentine’s Day update.  Instead this is just the basic App store drop (changes to the icon- Valentine’s Peter , but Splash Screen is the same for now), so the Kindle Players will be able to start the update once TinyCo “Flips the switch” (we hope).  We’ve seen TinyCo do this before with events like Comic-Con & Halloween.  Since they have no control over when the update will be approved by various markets, they’ll release the basic update in advance, but not turn it on yet.

Personally, I think this is a great move my TinyCo.  Amazon has been notoriously SLOW at approving TQFS updates, which puts our Kindle friends at a massive disadvantage to starting events.  Now, they should be able to start right on time with the rest of us!

Now there were a few sneak peaks at the upcoming Valentine’s Day Event with the Kindle release…and while I’m not one to post something for the sake of posting it, I know some of you are chomping at the bit to get some Valentine’s Day Spoilers.  So let’s see just what was previewed with the Kindle Update….

New Year’s Results and A New Poll About The Best Of Event

Hello There Clammers!

A couple of weeks ago I asked for your take on the New Year’s mini-event that hit our Quahogs in early January and as usual you didn’t disappoint!  You guys really love giving your feedback on events & we love breaking it down and sharing your opinions with TinyCo!  You know they’re listening…especially with the latest Best of 2014 Event!

We’ll get to the results of the New Year’s Poll in a minute, but first I wanted to get your take on the Best of Event.  Since TinyCo really responded to what a lot of you wanted to return (as evident by our what do you want to see return post), we want to see how it all turned out.  What did you buy?  What were you missing? Character Overview: Mayor West

Hello There Clammers!

With the introduction of Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff there’s a whole cast of characters to unlock in your rebuild effort of Quahog!  These overview posts are designed to give you a quick breakdown of the characters, how you unlock them & their tasks so you can play FGG more efficiently!

Of course there will be those players who don’t want to know the details of unlocking the characters so for that reason we’ll post all of the details below the fold.  So if you don’t like to know what’s going on before you play don’t click read more…CAUTION SPOILERS AHEAD

District 9 has been unlocked for a little while and it’s time to take a look at the characters of the Downtown District.  Mayor West is the third character you’ll unlock in the Downtown District (& the only one that can clear the peeing Dawgs from your town).  It’ll take a bit of hard work collecting all the STUFF you’ll need to unlock him, but remember Districts are here to stay.  So take your time with him and have some fun 🙂

Quahog Quick Walkthroughs: District 10 Part 2, State of Pure Inebriation & Who’s Ever Heard of Hopsberry

Hello There Clammers!

When we last left off our District 10 walkthroughs Pawtucket Pat decided to stop making Pawtucket Ale & Stewie dressed as a Chumba Wumba to try and sneak into the brewery to convince him otherwise.  We pick things back up with the building of the Pawtucket Mansion & Pat’s arrival in Quahog….

District 10 is where you’ll unlock the Pawtucket Brewery, Chumba Wumba Stewie and eventually Pawtucket Pat!  Plus there will be fun items to craft along the way.

Remember unlocking characters and crafting items in the Pawtucket Brewery District will take a lot of patience, as the list of “stuff” required to unlock is longer and the quantities of each are greater.  Take your time, try not to get frustrated when the items don’t appear.  Try a different task to unlock the item, or try working on a different item.

So let’s pick our walkthrough back up with Peter as he tries to convince Pat to beer back to Quahog…

CONTEST Create Your Own Superbowl Prediction

Updated 10:30pm EST: The Patriots have won.  We’ll be going through the entries and those players who picked the Patriots will have a chance to win the gift cards.  Winners will be announced soon.

This Sunday is Superbowl Sunday where the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks will face off to see who will be the Champion of the NFL!  All over the US people are making their predictions (and placing their bets) on who will be crowned Superbowl XLIX Champion and we thought why not get the Addicts in on the action too!

Dear TinyCo: I Would Really Like…..

Hello There Clammers!

As the game evolves we’re noticing more and more of you commenting about upcoming items/features you’d love to see in the game.  So (as suggested by you) we’ve decided that once a month we’re going to give you guys the 1 central place for you to put your game requests (features, events, characters, decorations etc) would be the best place for TinyCo to see all of your great ideas!

Remember..TinyCo does listen to YOUR requests (and they read this blog!) as evident by a ton of the features we see in the game today!

And to get the ball rolling I’ll kick it off…

Dear TinyCo…I would really like to see the task lists for characters shortened.  I’m not saying eliminate various times, instead eliminate multiple tasks that take the same amount of time.  For example….Brian (just regular old Brian, no skins) has FIVE 2hr tasks…that are all indoor tasks!  Then he has two 4hr tasks, 3 6hr tasks,two 8hr tasks, two 10hr tasks and two 24hr tasks…are all those repetitive task times really necessary?  Especially when the character is just going to a building to disappear inside?  Can we shorten these lists up a bit?  Thanks!

Quahog Quick Walkthroughs: A Whole New Steroid Stewie

Hello There Clammers!

Well we’re nearing the end of the Workout Regime Event and suffering through #snowmageddon here in the Northeast of the US.  So what better way to end out the event and kill some time while snowed in than doing a little heavy lifting with Steroid Stewie? (Update at 530am EST..#snowmageddon has turned into #failmageddon.)

Steroid Stewie is a limited-time premium skin for Stewie that’s part of the Phineas and Barnaby Event.  For those of you still deciding if you should purchase him you can check out Bunny’s Do I Want That Post here, but make sure you make your final decision soon….as he’ll leave our Quahogs with the event later today.  For those that have purchased him, let’s take a look at the quick quick walkthrough that will popup for you once purchased…

Quahog Quick Walkthroughs: Phineas and Barnaby

Hello There Clammers!

Phineas and Barnaby hit our games last week…and they’re ready to Pump Quahog Up!  Remember they’re both timed characters (you’ll have 5 days to unlock them once you build the buildings they come with..more details here).  Just make sure you build the buildings before they disappear form Quahog on January 27th.

Now let’s take a look at the questlines that will come up on the freemium side  of the event…Gympocalypse 2015!, Feel the Burn & Feed the Beast.  Be prepared to tap a lot of Joggers and have a bunch of players free for each aspect.  For those that don’t like spoilers here’s a quick list of who you’ll need free for each questline:
