NOTE: To get Mutant Stewie you MUST Complete Part 6 of Quahog Comic-Con. Once you’ve done that Mutant Stewie’s questline will appear. You DO NOT have to have Stewie unlocked to do this.

Screening Theater- 150 Clams, Earns $40, 25xp/6hrs. Always drops Film (needed to unlock Ron Pearlman) 6×9
Ron Perlman’s Trailer- 100 Clams, Earns $40, 25xp/6hrs. Always drops Puppies (needed to unlock Ron Pearlman) 3×6

Unlocking Ron Perlman.
You will notice a poor guy dangling on the flagpole over by your Convention Center. He is stuck in a cocoon.
Known Glitch..If you DON’T See Ron:
Not seeing Ron dangling, it is a known issue. If you quit and reload, he should appear! This will be fixed in the next update.
In order to get him out you gotta “repair” the flagpole. This will take 8hrs and 200 of your Blam! Once you have it repaired, you now will have the chance to unlock Ron.

10 Black & White Movies(Extra Rare)- Make Captain Hammered Fly Under the Influence OR Get from Screening Theater
20 Puppies (Rare)- Make Bruce Make Bathtub Gin OR Get From Ron Perlman’s Trailer
10 Jazz Records (Rare)- Get by clearing Red Shirt Nerds OR Make Quagmire Watch “My Little Furry” OR Get From “Q” Hotel
5000 Blam– Remember…when you USE this it’ll disappear from your Blam! on hand, at the top…
Mutant Stewie
Mutant Stewie is out for revenge and will hold your Celebrities hostage (And your buildings too)! In order to stop him you’ll have to Zap him. In order to get the zapper in your Quahog you’ll have to complete Part 6 of Quahog Comic-Con questline (where you unlock the Convention Center)
Zapper Details
You use the Zapper to free buildings from Mutant Stewie. Stewie takes over buildings in your Quahog (When he’s there you will NOT be able to use the building)..the only way to free the buildings is to use the Zapper on him
You get 1 shot with the zapper every 6hrs. However, if you earn more Batteries you can use them to instantly recharge your zapper.
Zapping Stewie will drop Blam! and sometimes more batteries.
Here’s how you do it…when you see Mutant Stewie over a building you tap on him and the zapper screen will appear.
If you have a charge left on the zapper it will say zap, if it doesn’t have a charge a timer on it will appear as well as the option to use a battery. From the zapper screen press Zap!
If you don’t have a charge…it’ll look like this:
Pressing the zap button will free the building of Mutant Stewie…
Batteries
Batteries give you extra rapid charges on the Zapper. They’re considered STUFF in this game, and will fall from character tasks or other ways. Their drop rate is rare. You can also purchase more batteries with clams.
Batteries can be earned from: Making Patrick Stewart Pick Out Weapons OR Get it From the Infinizap Battery Factory OR Get From Zapping Mutant Stewie OR Purchase Battery Packs with Clams OR Get from Nerds
So you can earn them for FREE (Patrick Stewarts 24hr task, from nerds & from Zapping Mutant Stewie). Just remember they have a Rare Drop rate.
Battery Purchases:
1 Battery- 15 Clams
3 Batteries– 40 Clams
12 Batteries- 140 Clams

Does anyone know if you use clams to buy the difference needed to unlock the comicon chars do you get that new total added to you blam? Example you have 2000 blam, Ron needs 5000, it say ” get this now for 55 clams”. If you buy it does add 3000 blam to your total? Also does it give you 3k blam and its up to you to click the bubble? So in theory could I buy the 3k blam, soend the 3k on other prizes then buy it again for Ron?

No, you won’t get the blam! added to your total.

It costs 5000 blam OR 2000 + 55clams. Taking the deal will use all the blam you have; And use clams to make up whatever you are short.

So tinyco fixed the Ron Perlman flagpole glitch, I asked for some plutonium (needed two) for stewie, to ease my suffering. They gave me them and 25 clams.
Ask and you shall receive.

So I saw someone earlier leave a comment (can’t find it now) that if I spend clams on Ron to skip the Blam requirement that I would still be able to keep the Blam. Well I earned enough blam (4961) so it only cost 1 clam to skip, I spent the clam, but all my Blam was still used. Was this a glitch that TC fixed, or did I misunderstand the advantage of doing this?

There is no way to “skip” the Blam requirement. Each item will be used no matter how little or how many of them there are. The cost to cash out a player with Clams will take into consideration ANY items it can pull from. So if you are missing Blam!, puppies, movies, etc…it averages those out and figures what it would take to outright buy it. So even if you only had 300 Blam, it would still take that into the count and use them once you unlock the character. Hope that helps to make better sense to you. 😉

No, it wasn’t a glitch. That’s what happens. That’s why the amount of clams required went down to only 1. It made up for the difference in blam! on hand vs what was required for Ron.

I believe it was a player that said that and I would guess they did not see where the Blam! went. In my games, it has always taken what was available. No matter if 10 or 100 of that item. It uses what you have availble and clams for what you need.

I saw that comment too. It was clearly a glitch and tiny co must have fixed it since it is now working as expected.

I do not think it was a glitch. Myself, since start of this game…it has ALWAYS taken the Blam!, Moon Idols, $$$, or w/e it needed when I used Clams to speed them up. (Which I do a lot for sake of info on the blog). At no time yet since I have played has it ever NOT taken something. It always uses what ever I have. That is how it calculates that payout. It factors in what you do have with what you need, then takes all you do have and clams for what you need.
I think maybe the player didn’t notice or didn’t have the Blam! in the first place for it to take (like if you clicked a check mark on Patrick and he already took the 1000 Blam!, it won’t allow it to be taken for Ron as Patrick already claimed it.) Make sense?

Glad I’m not seeing things :P. I couldnt even pinpoint which post it was under and I tried searching though comments any post that had to do with Ron. Do you remember where you saw it? At the very least I want to post a reply explaining that wont work.

If you read the entire comment thread, you will see it did NOT work. And Cyber’s response is he only thought Skins could possibly do that. NOT a full character. Ron, Patrick, etc…full characters. Sorry.

MUTANT STEWIE: ‘ZAP’ TIP
If you have batteries, only use them to ‘zap’ Mutant Stewies immediately after you have recharged your gun…
This may sound obvious but when I got my first battery I didn’t realise that the timer resets to 4h every time you use it… so if you only have 30 minutes to wait you might as well hang tight… otherwise you will effectively throw away 3h30 minutes of charging time!

I compleatly agree. I used a battery by accident yesterday because the button to use a battery is the same button used to fire. I saw a full bar, hit the button- and saw as a battery was used to fill the last 30 seconds of the bar.

*SUSPECTED* BUG: Red Shirt Geeks no longer drop Jazz Records.
Can anyone tell me whether this is happening to them?
How to replicate
1. wait until you have some “Red Shirt Geeks” walking around in your Quohog
2. Click on the “Comic Con” icon on the bottom right of your screen (the one with the gold trophy and you cumulative total of “Blam” on it).
3. The event screen will pop up. Click on the last tab marked with a “?”.
4. The “Daily Quohog” screen will popup with “Here are ways to earn batteries” and buttons marked “Geek Loots”, “Celebrity Loots”, and “Battery Packs”. Click on “Geek Loots”
5. On my game, even though I have several “Red Shirt Geeks” wandering around I get a message saying “Come Back Soon — There are no Comic Con nerds in your town. Check back soon for more to appear”
NOTES & OBSERVATIONS:
• My town currently has plenty of Blue Shirt Geeks and a few Red and Yellow Shirt Geeks but the game doesn’t seem to recognise this…
• I’ve noticed that I have not received *any* ‘Jazz Records’ dropped from clearing Red Shirt Nerds since the ability to clear directly from Ron’s dilemma list was removed (I.e. Click on Ron, then click on the Jazz Records icon on task list and click on the “Get from clearing red shirt nerds”. This previously zapped a single Red Shirt Nerd if there was one walking around. This just kicks me back out to the game now… I suspect this is because it doesn’t recognise the red shirt nerds anymore… )
Thoughts? (and yes, I am reporting to TinyCo)

I got a record from a red shirt nerd tonight. It was the last one I needed to unlock Ron. But if memory serves me…it’s the only record I got from a nerd.

Hi Boozedude, I suspect your suspicion to be correct! It’s 9am in the UK,and I’ve just woken up from a 4hr kip to see that Bonnie’s finally dropped the last pizza slice needed for Picard; I cleared Perlman’s flagpole last night. My “Fabulous Challenge” timer shows that mutant Stewies have been plaguing my town for around 20hrs. Despite checking in at least hourly (ok, almost constantly, it was a lazy day!) from 1hr through to 16hrs, I’ve only dropped 1 battery from a nerd so far, and that was right at the start of the mini-event. Picard has just started picking out a zapper for the first time, so I’m really hoping the “really cheap rushing” glitch(?) hasn’t been fixed yet… unless of course it’s related to this apparent “nerds not dropping items” glitch!!
I’m also getting the “come back soon” message and – after quite a lot of trial and error – have managed to get a screenshot showing the box and a bunch of blue, red & yellow nerds in the background (there are even some wizard nerds from the Freaks & Geeks questline there too!) which will shortly be heading to the Addicts inbox. Haven’t reported to TinyCo yet, waiting to see how others are getting on.

UPDATE: I got two “Jazz Records” this morning… whether this was a change by Tiny Co is unknown as they haven’t replied to my message. However, given the time zone I suspect they didn’t change anything.
Note that the “Come Back Soon — There are no Comic Con nerds in your town. Check back soon for more to appear” error is still there…

I too have the error of being told there are no comic con geeks when there are.
Also haven’t had a record drop in a while, from a geek, mutant Stewie, or quagmire. Only have 3/10. Done with movies (I did buy the screening room though) and I’m halfway done with puppies but did not buy the trailer.
I’m going to let it play out, at this point if I get the puppies and decide I have to have him it’ll cost less clams to buy the remaining records than the jazz store.

I’m also getting the “Come Back Soon” message despite ample nerdage in my town. Are blue nerds supposed to drop batteries, or is it just yellow & red like “The Daily Quahog” icon suggests? I know I’ve received at least one record from a red nerd, so don’t have that issue. Not a huge issue, but hopefully it’ll be fixed soon

I just also realized that my red and yellow nerds do not make the beaming up noise when i click on them. They do the animation and pop blam (which does make a noise), but no sound right after I click on them. I was also able to grab a couple of screenshots with that “Come Back Soon” message with a couple of yellow nerds in the background in case I need to send em to TinyCo later

Why is the black and white film s for Ron Perlman dropping more often than the records? When the films are extra rare and the records are just rare. Is this happening for anyone else?

Where has Mutant Stewie gone on my iOS game? I have completed 8/10 Zap Stewie Latcher for the “Creature from the Goo Lagoon Pt 5”, but he is no longer in my game? I zapped my last Stewie about an hour ago and no more have shown up. What gives? Is it a glitch?!

I should have mentioned I’m freemium and had 5 stewies at one point but now I have none. I knew his spawn rate (or move rate) was 3hrs (thanks to you and bunny and cyber silly for your great informational posts) but I don’t think he is spawning anymore for me. 😩

Should I wait until I have Patrick Stewart to start the mutant Stewie…..thing? I’m 3 pizzas away from PS, and I prob wont spend many clams (unless i get desperate) so just wondering If i should have him first to earn me more batteries. Capt Hammered is running his 1 hr task to complete Pt5 and I already have the convention center repaired. Any thoughts/strategies are appreciated.

Hmmm you’ll have to still build thing a ma gadgets to unlock his battery earning task, which costs Blam! So honestly I think you’re ok starting the Mutant Stewie quest to earn some more blam! You’ll earn batteries at each completion of the questline for mutant stewie as well.
In my game, i was just about the same off of getting PS, I still started the mutant Stewie questline & built up plenty of batteries from the tasks before I event sent PS on his first quest to pick out weapons 🙂

LOL well the game didn’t give me much of a choice anyways. As soon as Cap H finished his 1 hr task the mutant stewie event popped. But thanks for the advice about the Thingamagaget, I’m building it right now, and down to two pizzas for PS 🙂

The rare jazz records are much more difficult to receive than the ultra rare black & white movies. My feeling is that something’s wrong with the dropping rate. It changed Saturday or Sunday. At least in my game. Twelve possible drops today from Mr Q and Q hotel altogether, plus zapping Stewie. No jazz record. Six possible drops today from Peter plus zapping Stewie. Three movies. Strange, huh?

I’d recommend to TinyCo that they increase the amount of characters with tasks to earn items. I’m an android player and have unlocked Ron today. I still need 6-7 pizza slices for Patrick and all items for Ron. But just looking at Ron’s requirements makes me think that it may take a very long time indeed. Keeping in mind that there will be plenty to unlock in the future, it seems like increasing the amount of tasks that can earn an item may not be such a bad idea.

I know this is random but they should include pregnant Bonnie into the game, since she has no costumes or anything. She was pregnant for a long time so I think it’s an important thing to include don’t cha think? Lil extra action haha

RED SHIRT GUY: Have TinyCo changed something in the collection process to “unlock” Ron Pearlman? In the early stages of the event I could tap on Ron, see the tasks and click on “Get from Clearing Red Shirt Nerds”. That would take me to any red shirt nerd in the game and “zap” them for me.
Now when I try that nothing happens.
ALSO: I’ve never got a “Jazz Record” without doing the above… that might be co-incidence but I’m beginning to suspect that something is wrong.

Similar feature is now in the Comic Con Icon in your lower right corner. Just tap on it and go to the ? section. There it is broke into 4 sections now. One being Geek Loots. If you tap on go in that box, it will take you to the Geeks.
I will have to check again on the link from Ron as I just cleared all mine and I know it won’t go to them…cuz none are there. Lol. 😉

I want to spend some clams to help me in along in this event but I want to do it wisely as im setting a 500 clam limit for myself and trying to stick to it. Im torn between getting the 400 clam truck or getting the smaller truck and battery factory. Any thoughts on what I could benefit more from or should I just wait?

I like the battery factory, because it will help during the whole event. The small truck just doesn’t produce enough Blam in my opinion for the price. Save the extra clams and see what else might show up down the road. 😉

Are the mutant Stewies supposed to boot out anyone in a building and stop blam progression? I had Carter and Partrick Stewart in my spa and then Stewie attacked. When I zapped him I noticed that both people were out in the street elsewhere in the town. I don’t think they were there earlier. I don’t care that much about stopping Carter, but PS was earning blam and working on a quest line.

No, it’s not supposed to do that. It’s supposed to hold them hostage. If they kicked your characters out send an ingame support message to TinyCo About it. Check out this post for more:

Still don’t see Ron Perlman on the flagpole. Every thing else has been updated, but no Perlman. Need help from Tinyco to fix this problem for me immediately.

First try hard closing and restarting your game. If that doesn’t work then send an in-game support message to TinyCo about it. It’s a known glitch. More about it can be found here:

As far as batteries go, it’s great that a character task can be used to generate them. It might be slightly better if this event started earlier, like maybe around when SDCC started, so that I might have that character unlocked at this point.

Just wasted $20 on the Brian Box like a fool. Didn’t think any of the prizes repeated. Should have read the fine print. Only got crappy Blam and the truck. Game deletion in 3, 2, 1…Better this, then I continue to waste my money.

Okay do these latcher stewies get smarter at some point lol. Right now I have four. They have hijacked the marine center, the preschool, my rocket playground, and the mini-mart. In a Mort Goldman voice I say “Here take it, it’s yours” lol seriously not that smart so far no buildings of real importance.

They move to another building every 8 hours. Soon they could be on a building you need for a quest. When you zap them, just focus on anything important. Make sure you use your zapper every 4 hours (the new recharge time) to reset the timer. 😉

Sadly, there is a small group that is getting this “no show” glitch. Luckily, it will not effect your game right now. Send an in game message to TinyCo and let them know you’re in the No Ron glitch group. Give them info like the device you play on, and let them know everything you have done so far. Let us know how it goes.

Can’t 100% confirm this but the zapper MAY have been reduced to 4 hours instead of 6. J zapped a squid Stewie this morning and 20 minutes later it had 3 hrs 40 min left on the gun. I hope this is the case, the squids are kind of annoying and I have spent about 1500 clams on this event already, I have no heart left to spend more on these batteries.

They have reduced to only four hours which is nice, but how do you get it to count? When the weekly quest starts You have to do 16 in only four days. Out of the six times I zapped him only two of them have counted. Am I doing something wrong?

Use the zapper and the timer will restart.
No, as long as the quest started when you started zapping mutant stewies it should count towards it. If that’s what you did and they’re not counting definitely send an in game message to TinyCo, you could have a specific glitch with your game that they’ll have to go into and fix for you.

Hi all. Just a warning to anyone thinking of getting the Robo Brian boxes. On seperate occasions I’ve lost both the battery factory and the clamterprise due to the game crashing when trying to place them. My clams went back to the original amount butwhen I tried again I got a few of the 350 blams instead lol, I have to lol or I might cry lol.

After winning a good prize, don’t place it immediately. Put it in your inventory, then soft close (minimize) the game to force an auto-save. With new game updates come shaky performance issues for a bit, until they iron out some “bugs”.

We’ll this May be a problem. Having got some batteries I cleared my mutant stewies about 5 hours ago. None have appeared since then. When you have no Stewie to zap you can’t access the zapper to see how long for the next charge. How are we suppose to zap 15 if they are not spawning fast enough. And does the zapper still charge when it’s not needed??

It does charge behind the scenes and Mutant Stewie’s spawn every 3 hours. But I too have noticed that since the in game update, it took longer than that to start spawning again for me. One just latched on so I’m keeping an eye out to see when the next one shows up.

Got batteries on my first mystery box try. Very happy as I was gonna buy them from the shop but got them half price 🙂

I got batteries too! Very happy as I was expecting tube man or the skatepark. Still have an army of skateparks from the last box haha. At least they seem to have learnt from their mistakes and buildings/decos don’t repeat 🙂

little annoyed how rare some items drop (still so far from having stewie) now they want you to zap 15 stewies in 4 days to get a car and i only got two batteries from red shirts the entire time playing (i have no intention of spending money for clams)

I can’t speak for all iOS users (like me), but I think most are happy you guys are getting a truly exclusive item. I was upset that you all had to wait a week to get into the game. Also, I’m looking for where I saw it posted in their FB page and will verify with TinyCo at first opportunity, but they said they have increased Blam payouts for tasks and other things to help get you caught up.

A skin? That’s our special gift after watching a whole week other players having fun? I feel like the sister of the birthday girl. No presents or cake for me.
And l think all buildings bought or gained during this event should give blam and xp, as in TSTO. It’s very hard for freemium players to get half the prizes.

I honestly am happy for my android brothers and sissys to get a skin. 💃💃a whole week must be hard. And honestly you didn’t miss out on much.
For me, personally stuie is not unlocked, Asian reporter, Trisha Takiniwa, and carter stills all unlocked. AND I have the event. Even tho events r awesome, it can be overwhelming with my current focus of the game. . Smh. 😰
If it was possible I would buy a trailer for and androider. I guess y’all would have to settle for my god vibes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I was a bit naughty and opened 2 mystery boxes this morning. Was pretty chuffed to get The Clamterprise (though I was hoping for the Battery Factory!) but also got a Gyro-Hero food truck which isn’t listed in the prizes, nor can I find it anywhere in the shop lists. I did screenshot if anyone wants to see.

I got the Gyro food truck too…it was removed after you won it (no duplicate prizes except the Blam, Clams and batteries stay) and it’s not listed because it’s only available in the mystery box.
Ps. I am glad you won the Clamterprize, but I’m sooooooo jealous I’m not inviting you to my birthday party….and there’s going to be a pony…so THERE! 😉

I noticed Brian robot was flashing but nothing happened when I tapped it (more than once). Nothing new in my cart.

Hmmmmm Have you unlocked the 3 Comic Con buildings yet? “Q”, Convention Center and Clamterprise? You might try a hard close also and see if it starts the Mystery Box feature for you.

Yep unlocked all three and did a hard close when I read about the boxes.
However…it appears they cost clams anyway, which I can’t afford, so I’ll go back to hoping I get Red Hot Lois and send you all the best in getting a Clamterprise 🙂

Very naughty here. Opened 3 mystery boxes and got 3 items, none of which were on the booty list: Photo-op Wall, Swagbag Station and the Gyro-Hero Food Truck. All non-paying items, so quite a premium to pay for decos.
The no duplicates rule is great, but now we have no idea just how many items there are!

They were listed before you won them, but if you looked later, they would already be gone. That’s a hard call about worth. I like the fact that they are completely unique items that not everyone will have. But then the fiscal part of my brain asks me, “Would you buy these if they were sold for 75 clams each in the “cart” and did nothing but look cool?”…..probably not….but the little kid in me says, “Get the damn Clamterprize for me our I’m kicking the cat again”…lol…(yeah….I have a lot going on in my little brain. 😉

No more guessing what the special android character is anymore. Super Joe.. Stewie mutants aren’t spawning enough I see so far. But I’m running out of room to put stuff… Spooner st is now on the water area. Robo Brian is neat and you crazy can get your clam building you want.. I won it first try ;). wish they had robo Brian in this one, and we only can assume there’s gonna be a robo Stewie soon.
Jazz club has be wondering, as a nerd.. I can’t remember the last time I’ve went to a jazz club by choice. Toy show/computer show or comic show yes.
Tomorrow there is gonna be a lot of people waking up and going what’s going on..

I’m am slowing melting into my game………help! ;). I bought the jazz club because I’m a music freak, looks cool and dropping items never hurts. Got 12 batteries my first Mystery Box try (so superhero car in the bag…or should I say Secret Superhero’s Garage Lair) 😉
