UPDATE: FYI… just got word back from TinyCo a patch is going to be pushed soon to credit players their missing Clams. You will NOT see a pop up message from them. The Clams will just automatically add to your account. I was not given a specific time when this will happen, so keep an eye out on your Clam counts. Those that sent support tickets may see a response stating same later today too. This should be live now. I just verified in my game that mine were added. 😉
As for the Pyramid, Phone Booth, and Coffin linked to the 3 Characters… they will go when the event does. So even if you have not completed the unlocking of them, those buildings that brought them in will be disappearing.

Well, I got George Takei, but only after using up 70 clams I had saved up to get a few more captain’s chairs. I was one teddy bear away from Mr. Weed and used up another 20 or so clams to try to get him, but failed as I ran out of clams and sure wasn’t going to pay for any. I only really wanted Takei though, so I’m okay with the “event” I guess. I misunderstood that they were releasing the two other characters so quickly after King Butt was available, so that I missed a day or two on getting things for Mr. Weed probably.

Only thing I skipped out on was pee pants and premium celebrities.
Didn’t want to spend 40 clams on pee pants when I had the chance, so spending 125 is a no way for me.
As for the celebrities, I have no idea who nathan fillon is, and Bryan Cranston is way too expensive for a one character.
I might reconsider about Bryan Cranston part, if the next time he shows up, he would come with a full size comic con building.
Also, non related, but if there’s Bryan Cranston from breaking bad and Patrick Stewart from star trek, then why is there no John De Lancie, who appeared on both of the shows.

IF they find a good reason to drop the character in the game in a way players will want them/be excited about them and IF they can come to a legal agreement with said actor to use voice recordings for the game as well legal OK to put character in. Lol.

Didn’t get any of the three “free” characters (and didn’t buy a Mystery Box), simply because I wasn’t able to gather all the needed drops for any of them. It was clear to me right from the start, that King Butt would most likely not finish – I have just two characters that dropped Ankhs and indeed I ended up being ten Ankhs short for him. Was hoping to get George Takei, but again not enough Teddy Bears.
I don’t really mind though. I started playing during the Helloween Event, so it was a nice chance to get a few more characters from back when I wasn’t even playing yet. I was happy about being able to buy a few nice buildings and decorations during the event, so I am fine. Now bring on Valentine’s Day!

I am disappointed that the buildings were gone if you had not unlocked the characters. I knew I would not have time to unlock them and didn’t necessarily want another character, but wanted the pyramid.

Aggh. Spent thirty clams hurrying up Tricia’s task to drop a teddy bear. But no luck. Only got two the entire event. I was so hoping to get Mr.Weed and then 50 clams (which would have been a 20 clam gain). But you can’t win ’em all. (Though two bears for the entire event is pretty low, I’ve never complained about drop rates before, but that’s just horrible. Especially when nine are needed) Still, I got King Butt, Sphinx Stewie building, and the fencing center which is great. Now I can set Dr.Hartman practicing surgery out near it and that will be…pretty cool.

Do you mean the Tap Handles for the Brewery? If so, those are extra rare and will take some time to earn. It is how Districts are meant to be. Take time to earn and go through it all. Don’t worry. If anything, force close the game, restart the device, and refresh the drops. Or even send him on a lil mini 1hr type task and then back on the Tap Handle earning. The more “fails” you get over and over from same character on same task… the more likely you will get one to drop as the chances increase with the fails.

I’m disappointed with how this event was handled. Even though I was able to get King Butt they had his Ankh count way too high for players to get both him and George Takei. If Butt’s was 30 instead of 40 I would have been able to get both. I gave up on Takei this morning when I still needed 10 more Ankhs. There just wasn’t enough time and I wasn’t going to waste my 70 Clams to speed up Francis to hopefully get Takei. If I was 3-4 short maybe, but not more than that.

I really hated how KB’s ghosts were linked to Bonnie and Jerome’s 4 hour tasks and shared drops with the flute thing for Pawtucket Pat’s unlock… They really should have separated the drops out more so people could do them easier.
Least I was able to get KB yesterday after the last ghost dropped, so I’m safe with the one I didn’t get. MC Pee Pants, er, Peter the Inebriated Clown just didn’t sit right with me on spending clams for it. Haven’t for a costume yet, kind of doubt I will anytime soon either.

Got my clams w/I even having to contact them. However, they did make a pop-up to let everyone know as I got one a little bit ago (not sure if you’ve since edited this post while I was reading comments).
I just don’t get the rage over this event. I got all the characters without clams aside from Takai, and I only needed to speed up 3 chairs to get him (which I did).
People are upset about losing 3k in coins after missing out? Really? Unless you’re really new to the game, 3k in coins gets you, well, nowhere? People wanted more time but they were accurate with their word (the event didn’t abruptly end early due to a glitch or miscommunication) and if it mattered enough to the person playing they would have bought the clams to complete the tasks. Can’t afford clams because you ‘don’t waste money,’ well that’s great. Then don’t?
I get that prices are high sometimes, especially for Cleveland. But it was trial and error for their prices back then. They don’t want to upset the people who shelled (pun intended) out 400 clams months ago so they can’t just halve the price or charge coins at this point. Heck, I think the fact that the Pee Pants skin went down to 125 clams (if, in theory, his skin was the first one won or the only one needed) this go around is impressive (given I paid 350 for him on the one-day sale a long while back). People should really just appreciate that they were kind of thinking out of the box here. Sure, yhey stood to benefit, too, but I got a lot of characters I didn’t think I’d have the option of getting again. Heck, Rollo Joe was an exclusive, even.
I think TC will need to tweak things the next time they do this kind of thing (if they ever do) based on all the hate, but I personally thought it was really pretty cool for a toss-in “event.” Just my opinion, though.

I spent a grip of clams 200 or so to speed up tasks to get George after I had already opened King Butt and Mr Weed. Hope it wasn’t a complete waste and these characters will be used for something in the future.

I missed King Butt by 3 ghosts – spent a bunch of clams to speed up actions and the “try again” for 8 clams – did that too. Oh well : )

Due to the glitches in this game that happened last year I created a second game to test updates and such. In my main game I had all the costumes and characters except Rollo cop joe ( which I did buy for 125 clams). In my second game I had enough for King Butt but as he is the second most useless character behind Cool Aid Man I didn’t get him. I was trying to get George. The drop rates were appalling and even with the selected increase by tiny co not enough.
Now the event has ended and I have neither character. Adding an extra day for each additional character would have been nice.

Great event. I was able to unlock all three charectors, buy Nathan & Bryan and pick up the costume I missed out on. The only bummer for me was not being able to get Cleveland’s Ghostbusters outfit. Hopefully it will show up again in the future.
I also want to say thank you to Bunny and Alissa for all the work they put into this site. You ladies are great.

What a great mini-event.
Got a few things I was missing from earlier events and completed my Celebrities sets, (I was missing George and Stan.)
Would have been nice to have a crack a few buildings that weren’t offered but beggars can’t be choosers. I just wish Sexy time Stewie had been an option.

I wasn’t able to unlock any of them either. Newer players were definitely at a disadvantage because I only had so many characters who were able to do tasks to earn the items needed. I could have been focusing on leveling up my players and opening up new skins instead of focusing characters I was not going to be able to obtain anyway. But it looks like some others were successful in this event. I guess you win some you lose some.

😔 I had a feeling I was going to come up short on unlocking the 3 characters. The fact that stings worse is I was soooo close on all 3! Hard to say with the drops but I was a day or two away. Kinda a sour taste for the game today…

When I launch the app with my Android phone, it says “A new update is available! Please upgrade to the latest version to continue.”, and the “Upgrade” button takes me to Google Play for the game. But Google Play doesn’t know anything about an update. I even tried uninstalling the game and re-downloading it, but the game still says there’s an update available and won’t let me launch.
I can still play on the Kindle after downloading the update, but there’s no new content, even though it has a new Valentine’s Day icon.
Any idea when the Android update will be available?

They probably launched the vday update in the app store early for Kindle because it’s traditionally late. It won’t launch until TinyCo flips the switch though.

i got diane & francis in the mystery box and was able to complete mr weed and king butt over the last couple, days. thanks to my 50 Clam bonus from the 3 dead chars i was able to speed up stan lee a few times just now to get the last 2 bears i needed for takei! phew XD

woo! got 100 & 30? clams for some type of facespace set. (I had 20 some previous & now I’m at 150 something).
now, since I’m 2 Ahks (spellcheck fail) away from getting Takei, I’ll be using some of those to speed up some tasks to get it in time. But do I try & get another best of box or hold them for the inevitable next event? Oh, decisions, decisions!

Thanks for the heads up, my 50 for the tortured souls is now there, saved me a message to tinyco, was waiting till the event was over incase i got locked out while they sorted it as I only need 3 ankhs and have 5 tasks finishing in the next 1hr,/1hr 30mins fingers crossed i don’t have to clam rush anyone with that 50. Well, another event/mini-event where I haven’t been able to get all of the characters available for the event. Just like in previous events, I’ll come short on getting a new character as might not be able to get Mr. Weed before this event ends since I don’t have enough stuff/time to unlock him (This is not venting, I am just disappointed that I am constantly short when it comes to events/mini-event). *Sigh*, hopefully, I do better when the Valentine’s Day event comes. Can’t wait.

I just have to say this is getting completely infuriating, I only need 1 captain chair and 2 teddy bears to get George Takei, and 8 more ankhs and 1 ghost to get King Butt, and it’s 3:30 CST where I live, and they are about to disappear before I can get them! I am almost done with this game for good, and I used to love it.

Think of it this way… would they be worth it to YOU to spend a few clams on? You could rush the tasks and use the “try again” or “buy Now’ feature to get the materials. But only if it is worth it for you in the long run.

In the FacePage thing, it shows the silhouette for Alien and Predator, but there isn’t a way to get them. Why is that? Is it a glitch or are TinyCo. gonna include them as well?

Awww TY Cesar. After seeing your reply, I checked his tomb again and again and again, just to be triple sure Lol. Then forced closed the game n rebooted my Android device and still need two freagin’ machetes. 😦 What makes this even more frustrating for me is, I worked really hard for him the first time around, during the Halloween event, and now missed him the second time around. Drop rates for me have been terrible for a few months now. Oh well. Just a game. I tried.
