I’m not a big enough fan to pick up Benedict for 200 clams but if anyone gets the chance to watch the movie “Hawking”, I highly recommend it. Benedict does any amazing portrayal of Stephen Hawking.

I’m seeing so many comments about Smaug, Sherlock, Khan etc and that only tells me a bit about the age of most of the Cumberbatch fans here.
I was thinking that this addition to the game is great simply for the funny coincidence that this is a Valentine’s Day event and he played a chocolatier in one of my favourite movies of all time, Atonement.
Has anyone here seen that movie? 😦

Unfortunately they do not reimburse clams. I had a similar situation when I accidentally spent 100 clams on a mystery box when tap-tapping and dozing off, and a couple times when I rush-completed tasks using clams by rapid tapping during a game lag.
I messaged them immediately after the mystery box incident and I never placed the decoration into the game. But they replied that they do not reimburse clams.
You can hope for a different reply in this case but unless they changed their policy, I would not expect a refund. 😦

I’ve just got him. He’ll come in handy for earning Hearts like Arnold. I’m a bit behind on mine at the moment, so need all the help I can get. Plus extra HMV’s are always good. I think they didn’t include a date option for him or Armold, because it was a no win situation for them. If a date didn’t produce a prize, premium players might not be happy because they cost clams. If they did produce a prize, freemium players would feel excluded. So makes sense.
Hope he’s not the first Brit we see in the game ;-). Maybe he’ll set a new trend lol

As someone stated not everything can be free. However, ppl that I’ve bought Rupert cleveland consuela brain damaged horse all the starting premium characters except buzz killington. The only I’ve purchased since cleveland on halloween was gene Simmons.when are these specific characters ever used? Rarely rarely. And now that I see Arnold and bennidict for like what 250 and 200 there probably going to be useful. Which then brings me to my case, cleveland was 400 and has been useful 2 times. Cupid will be useless as well I can see Ida and Cheryl being way useless. They should have switched one of those 3 with Benedict or Arnold. It’s still different from ea as you can get tons of freemium but now in this new year I feel it will be that way, but the characters u actually want and will probably be useful to collecting stuff wil cost real life money

I dont mean to nitpick but I actually got Cleveland last year around the Egyptian Event and Rupert during a collect the toys mini event and they didn’t cost any clams. They were offered again later in the year for clams to those who missed out the first time around.

Yes I have all freemium skins and characters. And I’m a half premium half freemium I guess player. The point I’m making is that Cupid is for valentines like Santa for Christmas but you won’t need them ever maybe once the whole year for something else same as the starting premium players as mentioned above. So my question to you guys is then if you bought all the starting premium players and saw they didn’t do anything what would make you but more premium players? Like I’m 23 turning 24 tues dropped out of uni 3 years ago and run a business that makes 700,000 a year so I think I can afford to buy clams however why would you buy something after you can see the first characters do nothing?

This game needs to make money, to do this they are going to sell the most wanted characters. And even though the chances are that premium characters wont help with any future tasks or events(though it’d be nice if they did) I buy them because I want that character in my town. Its just an added bonus that they help during the event they are first sold during. I would have bought John McClane or the Predator regardless of any event help.

They did a great job with his mug BTW but IMO, what makes his character hot, at least on his Sherlock Holmes tv show, is his intelligence. Don’t ya think? Yeah, yeah and his sexy accent. 😉 I haven’t heard his voice in the game yet, so can’t comment on that. But on the show, yes, he is mesmerizing to listen to 😉

Let’s just say if I was allowed back on campus at MIT… I would NOT leave. Beauty and Sexiness is in the eye of the beholder. It’s not all about “looks” that make someone attractive. Not to me anyway. Hot can be an intelligent mind, color of the eyes, an accent, and so much more. It is a complete package that makes someone attractive to me. 😉
And yes… I am LOVING all the Characters they keep tossing out at us. Not to mention… that voice… OMG!! 😉

I have no land left either. All these cool prizes from this event, and they’re either going straight into my inventory unused, or being temporarily dumped where I used to have roads (took them up for the couples) to generate Valentines but will end up in my inventory when the event ends.
I need more land. A LOT more land. That Cumberbatch mansion is huge.

It releases 10 every 8 hrs… so… depends on how fast you are getting them elsewhere. It is a large building, cool…but large. All depends on what YOU want. 😉

I have become a little valentine poor. I now have to collect 3000 just to be sure I have enough to get cupid (2000 for statue and bench and 1000 for other building in box) I am going to assume as soon as I get Meg’s skin the other building will appear in box. And now the new mansion. So 5000 valentines to collect to get all the rest of the stuff by Wednesday.

Aaaargh. As a Freemium player I normally try and save my Clams for characters that’ll really help out with a big event – John at Xmas was my last spend – but the chance to get me some Cucumberbatchy goodness is sooooo tempting.
P.S. Any idea if there’ll by a FaceSpace group coming for the Valentines posse? I was kinda expecting to see Ida, Cheryl and Cupid grouped together now they’re all live. My OCD (and my desire for easy clams) doesn’t like the thought of them all being stuck in the New Characters section! Lol
