In this lil game of ours, it is easy to get lost and so focused into collecting items or unlocking characters that we tend to forget the lil things that make the game what it is. Like Where the HELL did these items come from and why are they in our games?
Well I am here to do just that for you. Let’s take a look at the Family Guy Series and find out just Where The HELL Did That Come From?
In this post, I will be covering the Origin of a this hairy Bird Beard Peter. Why are there birds in his beard? How did they get in there? Do they hatch babies too? Let’s take a look at the TV Episodes to find out.
Season 3, Episode 17: Brian Wallows and Peter’s Swallows
Peter is watching an Episode of “Grizzly Adams”. After seeing it, Peter is impressed by how confidant the man is. How majestic. So… Peter decides he needs to join the “Great Men of Beards”. A month later at Brian’s Court Hearing, we can see Peter has indeed grown himself quite the Grizzly Beard.
Later on while eating at the Chicken Coop, Peter keeps scratching at his itchy beard. He drops some crumbs from his dinner that are quickly scooped up by an incoming bird. The bird immediately goes into the beard. Pecking at Peter as he tries to get it out. He is stopped by a Ornithological Doctor who tells him he can’t touch it as it is the endangered White Rump Swallow. Once it has chosen its nesting place, it is illegal to remove it. So Peter is stuck with it whether he likes it or not.
Peter starts to get annoyed with the Swallow as it won’t let him get much to eat. Stealing his popcorn at the Movies then squawking so loudly it ticks off all the others at the Movie too. He tries to explain there is nothing he can do and everyone just needs to shut up. Peter can’t even kiss Lois without the Swallow mistaking her tongue for a worm.
He tries everything to drive the Swallow away. Loud music doesn’t work. Even threatening the Swallow with violence doesn’t do any good… until the gunshot breaks the window glass and the Swallow flies off. Peter is happy as now it’s all gone and he won’t have to deal with it… or so he thinks. The Swallow seems to have left a few babies behind. Peter actually seems happy about this.
Peter begins to become “motherly” to the lil birds. Regurgitating food for them so they can eat. Sharing milkshakes with them. Brushing their teeth. Even reading them a bed time story. However, it seems like they are leaving him a lil something behind in his beard. It is getting a lil “crappy” looking. Lois decides to step in to let Peter know maybe it is time to let them leave the nest. They are getting quite big. He says they are free to go at anytime they want… until they suddenly try to fly out the window and he slams it shut before they can get through. Peter finally gives in and drives to the woods to set the 3 lil Swallows free. He lets them hop out on to his finger then frees them and they fly up to the sky. He tears up as he tells them all goodbye.
A beard free Peter is later seen at the Clam having a drink with Brian. They’ve both had better weeks. (Side Note: This is also the episode Brian’s “girlfriend” Pearl appears in.)
That about does it. An episode where Brian finds the woman of his dreams a lil too late and Peter becomes a “Mother”. What did you think of this episode? Did you think this would be made into a lil Event? Did you remember the Birds in his Beard? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

With one day left I’m nearly done, without spending any clams I just need 3 more Fuschia Birds and I’m there. When this outfit first arrived I didn’t think I’d get it without spending Clams, it was the Green Birds I was worried about, so I send an in game message to them, and thanks to them adding Peter’s 6hr task it helped a lot.

Probably be annoying 2 most but drop rates seem fine 2 me, I only need 1 more pink bird and 4 greens which should b done by later 2night and I haven’t spent a single clam
It really seems to vary from event to event who’s struggling and who’s doing well

Not finishing out Peter using clams this time *shakes head vigorously*
It was doomed from the start. I know there are people out there who are comfortable with accomplishing it this way, but I have had to curb my spending. The Star Trek event took anything I had in reserve.
With less than two days I falling way short of getting this skin. The blue birds have barely dropped at all for me and I only get one pink one from Jerome and the high school. Rather regrettable since I sunk so much effort into it.

Blue picked up a bit, need 7 more each of green and fuschia. Did they say when on Thursday this ends? It’ll either be down to the wire or nigh-impossible. Depending on when it ends.

TinyCo has stopped putting in the timers because they’re almost always wrong. My guess is around 3pm PDT (6pm EDT, 2200 GMT) but honestly it’s just a guess

I really hope it’s not that time. Because if it is there is almost no way I’m finishing this up. Hopefully it’s midnight at the end of the 14th, in which case I can probably barely get the last green and/or pink bird…

If the pink one is not a usual drop for me from now on I will miss the costume. But I start to think that – after the Star Trek event – it’s another sign that this game is getting impossible to play without spending money even when I am able to play every 2-3 hours!

As far as I can tell, I got the blue ones equally from cabin, Chris and Lois. Green drops somewhere around 90% of the time, while the pink are a bit dodgy with either 1/3 or 3/3 dropping each time so far. I wish you all good luck out there.

The Pink Birds are going to be a major problem to get. TinyCo only gave 3 ways to get them and they have 8 hour tasks. With just under 2 days left the math doesn’t add up for me to get 11 more. I need to get no missed drops, which hasn’t been happening. I regularly get 2 out of 3 explaining why its way lower than the rest. TinyCo needs to add another character.

Like most people it’s not looking hopeful for getting the birds in the time – blue and green are just not dropping. I’ve been logging in every 2 – 4 hours (apart from 6 hours sleep) and I’m nowhere near.
I just don’t know what is going through TinyCo’s minds when they put together these drop/task lists.
On this one we had an always drop on hour tasks but rare drops on 12 hour tasks. Common sense would be that the other way round is much less frustrating.
We had use of some characters from the previous event (yay), oh they are for the common easy to get item, then they are back to doing 1 day tasks to get them out of the way.
A very short time window event – fair enough. Needs a lot of items to drop from a limited number of characters – fair enough. Hey lets use some of thouse characters for questline tasks too as well as make those questline tasks not drop items!

TinyCo should reduce the number of birds or increase number of people to drop rare items! I am short on 9 blue birds, 7 green birds and 6 pink birds!
I bet they think we are robots, not human (we have 8-10 hours of sleep daily!)

I love new quests, but why do they always have to be timed?? After the pressure (and fun of course) of Star Trek why not give us a fun quest, like the bearded Peter, with no time limit? It would make those of us who didn’t totally get what we were hoping for during the previous event feel better, but it would keep us all from being bored. I’m just tired of feeling rushed I guess!

To make us all insane. I don’t blame you…honestly they just need to slow down. From what we can tell they lost a TON of players from Star Trek because it was just ridiculous with timelines. But making more crazy timed events isn’t going to help solve that problem….they need to build back up their players and the relationship with the game. They need to make people enjoy the game again, not want to throw their phones across the room. And I’ll be completely blunt…lately they’re failing miserably at keeping the game fun.

I totally agree with this statement. I have a serious problem with needing to collect every character. I hit Star Trek hard and got them all. Then this bird beard event started right away after the Star Trek event and I was excited. It was fun at first but the drop rates are terrible and there’s no way I’ll finish before the event ends. I feel like it’s another cash grab for ppl to spend a bunch of clans to finish before time runs out. I’m seriously close to deleting the app just to save my money.

It’s a shame really. It started off as fun, it really did. Now the events have turned into pure work. You’ve got to be in your game grinding every second you’re awake or you’ll miss out. There’s just too much stuff…
Honestly, they need to simplify. Go back to basics. Not try to make everything a cluster* of stuff. You don’t need a ton of stuff with an event to make it a good event…no one has land for the stuff anyway lol

Thank you for saying this. It sums up what I’ve been feeling about this game for a while now. I honestly feel like this is a repeat of the spanish soap opera peter mini-event, but with a dramatically smaller player-base since then.

They just need to go back to basics. Comic Con was SUPER successful because it was fun. There was a mix of obtainable goals and characters to unlock. Made it purely enjoyable. I don’t know why they changed from that formula.

Yellow paid off quick for me. Green is nearly done but its taking way too long there. I mean why have two of them pay off on 12 hour shifts ? Pink ones are paying off decently, but the blue is barely paying off at all. Chris and Lois barely pay off. The cabin is where I usually get my blue bird with one or two from Lois. I don’t think Chris has paid off yet. If I get him by the 14th without using clams, it’d be a miracle honestly. My husband is having the same issue.

Green is dropping at uncommon to rare rate, pink is dropping at rare rate, blue is pretty much at epic rate. I fortunetally woke up at 4am the day this quest started so I thought since I got a head start I would be golden but still not even close to pinks or greens, let alone the blue ones. Was hoping the poor drop rates was going to stop after the star trek event but I guess not. Hopefully they extend the date or drop the number needed.

The blue Bird drop rate and the amount needed is insane, been sitting on 9 for the last day and a half. Either an increase in the drop rate, more character actions to earn or lower the amount needed. The fuchsia and green birds will definitely be cutting it close but more doable.

They have made this skin impossible to get. This is Pee Pants the Clown all over again. Lois hasn’t dropped any blue birds in 3 days. And there isn’t enough time to get all of the green birds since they require 12 hour tasks. Peter’s 6 hour task is too little, too late. I just found out about it yesterday because when Tinyco changes things they don’t let us know. You just have to get lucky and discover that something has been added. At least Tapped Out shows when it’s downloading updates so you know to look for something new.

I would suggest to make a request to them about the “new content” alert if you feel there is something else they can do. More and more I am seeing notifications on my phone now from FG telling me something is going on in my game. Letting me know there is new content, but you got to have those turned on to see them. Without you actually entering the game, it will be impossible to know if there is a new thing in it. So I suggest to follow their Facebook, Twitter, or even follow the blog here. We post when something new hits to help out. 😉
Even with our other site on TSTO, yes it tells you something is downloading… but you still have to go into the game to have that happen. Only way WE know something is coming is watching the files for updates just before it hits the games. If we didn’t have that access, we would not have an idea something hit TSTO either. EA doesn’t announce their events at all. Vary rarely do I see something from them. It’s how most gaming houses are with apps. It’s up to you to watch out for it. 😦
Just another reason we started sites like this one and our TSTO one. To help fellow players see when something hits so they don’t have to monitor their games all the time. 😉

Sounds like I am having pretty good luck with these birds. Have all 85 yellow, 10 blue, 20 pink and 19 green. Getting them all almost every time a task completes. 🙂

I’m with the majority here… love that episode and want the skin (I too have a glorious beard that birds would fight over for lodging) but looks like i will have to pay for it… doesn’t seem like the green and blue birds will get done in the allotted time. i will grind it out per usual until right before the end and see if they extend.

I agree with most others, getting all the yellow birds seemed daunting but was easily done, however I haven’t been able to get more then half of all the other colors and play more than most I think, seeing as I am normally up 20 hours of the day. As a side note my game crashes at least three times before I can get it to save my drops, this didn’t start until after the Star Trek event, wondering if anyone else is having crash issues. It’s just impossible to get. The blue and fuschia birds may as well be epic drops for how rarely they seem to drop. It’s ridiculous to have such low drop rates on things with so few ways to get them and such a relatively short time to get so many.

I’m done with the yellow bird and about half way on all the others. With a little over 2 days to go, I don’t think I will make it with the current tasks and drop rate. But it always seems that Ti nyCo always finds a way to tweak it so the goal becomes possible.

Little frustrated. Bout ready to quit playing. Yesterday I was home sick…so I really upped my playing game. The results – 72/85 y, 4/20 b, 11/25 p, 13/30 g. In otherwords…..absolutely no way to get bearded Peter. If quests aren’t tangible – what’s the point? Before I get filleted…..yes, I do buy things I really want….but I still believe that an ordinary player should at least have hope.

Wow the drop rate of blue birds is awful. I have 8 and I never miss a payout I tap Chris Lois and the cabin every 4 hours even during the night.
They haven’t paid out a single blue bird from Sunday afternoon that’s crazy its now Tuesday morning.

And I’m extremely happy when I come back to my game and see that the previously assigned tasks were canceled and my characters are roaming idle. NOT.

Oh Marc, I feel your pain! I had the exact same thing happen so I sent in a little note to TinyCo. They said it is a known issue and it is more our own fault for leaving the scene of the crime LOL. What happens is we leave before all of the players are fully engaged in their tasks. They suggest sticking around for a little longer to make sure they are in the places we’ve designated before closing the game. It seems to have worked for me.

I’m not doing too bad – 85/85 yellow, 25/25 pink, 22/30 green, 11/20 blue. The blue drops are horrible. I built the log cabin on day one of the event and it has only dropped 1 bird and I got the remaining 10 from Lois. Chris has not dropped any and now Lois has stopped dropping them. I thought I would have the most problem with the green birds but the blues are kicking my butt 😀. Probably will need clams to finish because I do want this costume (don’t mind that) but I’m playing the birds to the bitter end 😀

I Agree that these are bad but they do this alot so they may just give more time or shorten the amount of birds needed. But at this rate no way ill get this skin.

As long as you have your game you are playing linked and saved to an email or Facebook account, then it is as simple as getting the new device loaded with the game, get the game to the point the menu pops up (just after Chris holds antenna), and then go into the menu & account, log in, and LOAD the game on the level you currently are on right now in your iOS.

I’m half-heartedly playing this mini event. I’m a bit worn out with the game after the Star Trek event. I really want the skin, but Ive gotta let some hair grow back since most of it I pulled out.

With the new event coming and all, what are we gonna do as far as land is concerned? I know land is added when a new district opens up, but what’s gonna happen when they add more buildings and no land? I have a bunch of stuff already in my inventory, including characters that aren’t doing anything, and took all the roads away, except for a square to have my animals walking, but there’s so much we can do with too little space. 😐

Yellow birds, check, blue 10/20, pink 14/25, green 10/30. For the blue birds, with 4 hours tasks, there are 6 possible drops a day, 3 items to execute the tasks and 3 days left so 54 more possible drops. Being rare, I’d need a 20% drop rate to get them all, I’m cautiously optimistic as they are dropping consistently for me. For the pink birds, 4x3x3=36 more possible drops, it is uncommon but they seem to be dropping the best for me, I THINK I’ll get these done. Green birds seem the hardest, IMO. Adding Peter to the task makes them possible (2x3x3 + 4x1x3), 30 more drops possible before the event ends but they are NOT common, they seem more rare than the blue birds to me. Keeping my fingers crossed …

You are getting good drops. I’m a pretty consistent player making sure to check in when tasks are about done so their is no wasted time. I have 6 blue birds. Those blue ones are super rare for me.

I’ve noticed that the green bird, i think it is, can only be dropped by 3 characters with 12 hour tasks, they aren’t an always drop which they should be because the maximum you can get is 6 a day, this event started 9th May and finishes 14th may unless it has been changed, but there is only 5 days, 6 times 5 is 30 which is what you need, therefore since it isn’t an always drop you need clams so I can’t get the costume as I have no clams and the green birds aren’t dropping a lot for me I have been finishing their tasks every 12 hours yetonly have ten.🐤🐣🐥

While I would hesitate to call any skin a “must have”, this is a “really want.” A few years ago this was going to be my costume for a Halloween party. As a Family Guy fan, a bearded man, and a lazy costumer it just made sense. All I needed was the bird. But the friends throwing the party decided to go with an 80’s theme so I went as Ogre from Revenge of the Nerds instead. Nerds!!!
