UPDATE 6/10 545PM EST: Got confirmation from TinyCo that they WILL be moving the task to drop Pawtucket Brewery Tickets from Mort to another separate Character. So going forward, Mort will ONLY have the Dog Food task. Hope this helps some Players concerned with the visual drops on the Brewery Items. 🙂

I’m a bit dissapointed that the previous premium characters don’t have 24h tasks for a few event currency this time like before. That gave them just that bit of extra usefulness after an event instead of just dumping em in your stash. Maybe there’s too many this time, but yeah, even a very low pay out would make it nice to have Spock, Guinan etc.

Just an FYI Quagmire has a 6 hour task “Prepare Flight Plan” that pays out 25 cookies and 5 hats. It is an Apple Watch related task. It pays out better than his other 6 hour task.

Darn game stopped working couldn’t connect to sever then after 3 days it starting working for 2 days now I get suck on the loading screen and it crashes before the game finishing loading starting to give up on family guy half the time the game doesn’t work and it had become a money grab it didn’t start out that way but now everything cost a crazy amount of money

Mort still drops colonge for Mayor Wests gift baskets…. only 2 dog food drops in last 2 days (about once every 6 or 7 drops) but I have tons of that colonge…. boo! Lol

This is good to know because I just put the rest of my characters away in inventory for now. please keep me posted for the next phase if any other characters gain tasks to collect cookies/fedoras. This is the best site for this game. Super informative and I can always get tasks and everything done on time cause I know what’s coming next! Thanks for all you guys do! 🙂

You never Originally unlocked Diabeto, he was only a decoration in the game. You won him in a game currency box, so a Freemium item. Two completely different things. So you will have BOTH a Decoration and a Character

Im finding that Mort to pick up items for that clearing of that new section also shares a two hour task with the brewery event. If i store the brewery would that task just go to this event or no.

You can’t store the Brewery. The drops will NOT conflict. Dog Food is uncommon so WHEN you trigger the task, it will drop when it is supposed to. Other times when it is not supposed to drop, you may get a Brewery item instead.

Is it just me or are others also having major trouble getting dog food for the dogs? I’ve had mort on these tasks continuously since Saturday evening, and I sleep midnight to 6am but I still haven’t gotten a single bag. Meanwhile I’ve managed to collect many rare insulin vials for diabeto but not a single uncommon dog food from mort. This really needs to be fixed!

Re: missing fedoras. It appeared to me that my fedora count was not increasing. I watched it more closely. When a characters fedora action is complete, as soon as you tap the checkmark, it adds to the fedora count. Watch your fedora count as you tap the checkmark. I hope this works.

They really need to change Morts task for the dog food, it’s the same task that is used for the stupid bottle labels for the brewery prizes that no one seems to care about. They have really set some of this up poorly.

Let them know your thoughts on it, but I will say this as it is not the first time this has come up. This was TinyCo’s response to it.
“Pawtucket Brewery drops will have no merit on Event Drops”
That means if an Event Item is meant to drop, it will. The Pawtucket item will NOT take its place at any time. So if you were supposed to get a Dog Food, you will. If you are not… anything else can drop from the task instead.

That may be what they said, but it is not true. The only thing that even shows as a potential drop is the tickets, and if there is no other task, then game over. Usually when there are multiple potential drops, there is a box, in my case, the only thing showing is the ticket. I did send them a message, and I hope they respond better than theyhave in the past.

So again I ask… do you NEED the Dog Food task right now? Are you battling Chihuahuas right at this very moment in your game in the Safe House? Is there a pop up in your game at the Safe House saying you need dog food?
I keep asking as I’ve not seen an answer yet and as I’ve said many times… the task WON’T show dog food UNTIL it’s triggered by the Chihuahuas. ANY other time it will NOT show.

I am sorry, I responded in another post. Yes, I did need the dog food to get through the chihuahuas. I got through the forklift, sent Chris to enjoy private time, sent peter to shakedown and then the chihuahuas were triggered and I tried to get Mort to get dog food, and nothing but tickets. over and over again.

Report any “odd” activity with the counts right away to them please from your in game messaging.

Hi bunny I’m also experiencing this glitch, contacted tiny co from the in game messaging. Gutted that the Lois kissing the ring and joes 10 hour task was pointless as no fedoras added to my total, collected revenue from buildings before clicking on a completed character task to no avail. Fedoras fly to the total counter but the amount isn’t changing. Playing on iPad 3 but not expecting a fast response as the crashing issue is probably taking priority.

This morning, a few fedoras didn’t increase my count. Although I noticed some just had a delayed increase reaction, Lois was definitely one of the ones whose fedoras did not increase at all. I’m waiting on a response to yesterday’s communication to TinyCo about Bonnie that I submitted In Game before I bring this up too. May your fedoras stay lint free, Tracey!

I thought my game was doing the same thing, but I noticed that the counter goes up when you tap the check, not when the Fedoras fly to the counter.

I have noticed this and when I really watched the count some times the count is going up when first clicking the truck or job check mark and sometimes when the hat flies over but so far it is going up correctly just when it goes up seems random

Ugh, this is happening to me too. Not good! I sent them a message about it but now I’m wary of completing any more tasks that I have going right now to earn them. So much for mob rep in the leaderboards…

I’m going to contact TinyCo in game, but I noticed that the Fedoras from Bonnie watching movies aren’t increasing the counter–they just appear, fly into it, and nothing. Anyone else experiencing this? This is a fun event! May your fedoras stay lint free!

This just happened to me too. Bonnie watching movies, Chris eating cookies and peter stubbing. Reported to TinyCo in game. I am getting fedoras from the cookie truck takedowns, however.

I’m trying to understand the warehouse process. I have Fatfather, have done the first “building upgrade” and have what looks like a lemon pledge warehouse. It took two goons to get through the first explanation point which paid out candy for Diabeto but I don’t have the Diabeto quest line yet. I’m hoping that these three candies are saved somewhere and will be there whenever Diabeto pops up. The second part looks like a bunch of yapping dogs, I need pink three dog food bags to open, it seems like only Mort will drop the pink dog food bags but I have many characters in inventory so it’s hard to tell.

Yes, the candy is being tracked even though you aren’t unlocking Diabeto yet.. I just built the shop with Diabeto in it and it says I already have 9 candies to help unlock the poor kid. That’s from forklift adventures yesterday before I even started building.

The only thing I’m wary of is the leaderboard. Are they gonna remove the people who win prizes so everyone can get a chance at it? I really want zoot suit stewie….

As Bunny said, it’s not live yet so it’s subject to change, but according to the in-game FAQ all of the leaderboard prizes will be awarded based on your final position at the end of the event, and no earlier. So they’re very limited. What I’m still not sure about is whether you only win the one prize at your level or all prizes below that as well. (The way it’s structured suggests the former, but I anticipate wailing and gnashing of teeth if that’s the case.)
(Meanwhile I’m still trying to unlock the Fatfather, due to those annoying shoes. So I doubt I’ll get very far on the leaderboards.)

You’ll only win 1 prize total from the leaderboard. So each person in the 1,000,000 available spots will only win ONE prize. No more than that.

You could have waited like everyone else patiently awaiting for a chance to earn her like almost all of the other characters in the game. It’s completely and totally fair. You might not like it but it has nothing to do with fairness.

I “bought” Consuela her previously. Even if I would like to have a bonus for already having her I understand that this is how purchases work. You don’t go to Steam and complain when a game that you already bought full price gets a significant discount or is offered for free as a promotion.

Well, I think my time as a premium player is done. I’ve played this game far too much and spent too much money to make sure I get everything I want, and now I’m likely going to miss out on a character because they’ve introduced a stupid leaderboard feature that favours those who don’t work or sleep and can check in every hour. I’ll keep playing – maybe check in once or twice a day, if I can be bothered, and see what I get for free… but I’m done spending my money on these people.
At least before this everybody was equal – you chose how much to spend, how much to play, and you got something out of it. Now they turned it into a competition where people can be dedicated, spending money, and STILL lose out. Not going for it at all. Bad idea.

The Leaderboards haven’t even gone live yet. Not to mention NO ONE has any idea how they’ll play out. Just take a step back and wait. See how it does play out. See all the stats on it. At least let it have a chance and not be judge, jury, and executioner to something you won’t even know the full results for another 30+ days. Just play and have fun. 🙂

You are the best! I was thinking about suggesting you to make a list like that (becouse after more than 1 year of playing we all have to many characters to let them free but we put them in the archive), in this way is very simple to find which character take from the archive and put back on task! 🙂

Ya I’m having the same problem won’t connect to server and i did all steps to help but it hasnt helped. I havent played in days now im missing out :-(. The last time this happened I tried to Uninstaller the game and then couldn’t reinstall it till the next update happened that was the new years event. Will not be trying the in install method again I play on a Samsung galaxy note 2 android. My bf has the same phone and has had no problems since new years. Iv messaged tinyco a few times and like during the new years event haven’t heard back from them.

I think TinyCo keeps it to the beginning core characters because some people haven’t unlocked Vinny yet and not everyone has Francine but the large majority have all the characters from the first few districts. Those who haven’t played through all districts would be at a disadvantage. I guess it’s there way of keeping us as level as possible.

Which is a poor practice, as it leaves a ton of characters out of work. These special events bug me, as they are like parties where most of the people are left uninvited.

Feels like the same badly thought out stuff as alway. I have a cookie shop lois has a bake cookies job. Santa has a gorge on cookies job. Every one of these should be involved if you have them. They are directly related to the event currency. Anything that earns an item should be paying out too. Argh.

I agree that Santa should maybe have a task to earn cookies. But the rest of those buildings were easy to get. The event has to have some difficulty and making every thing that makes sense help out would make it easy.

I agree completely that there were lots of missed opportunities… but from a fairness point of view given we’re eventually all going to be ranked, it’s better that only characters obtained for free early on in the game be involved, so new players have just as great a chance to rank well as us long-term players. I’ve got all the Star Trek characters and skins, and that small glitch at the beginning of the event that allowed you to earn fedoras for all their visible tasks gave me a jump of about 10 fedoras even though it was removed quickly. If that had stayed I could probably have flown up the rankings far quicker than most, but it’s hardly fair.

Hey Bunny thanks for taking the time to reply. Well when I load the game I get as far as seeing the picture of Peter, Lois & so on but when the yellow bar starts moving I get a message that says “can’t connect to server” so I click the try again button and it gives me the same message but then it makes u wait iv tried this a few times but nothing changes I was able to play at 1am last night but not since.

I am having the same problem. It was fine earlier today and then when I got to Consuela’s Safe House unlocked it won’t let me get into the game without crashing after the loading screen. I restarted my phone and still did it. I uninstalled and reinstalled it again and it still does it. I was able to have it load and play in guest mode with no problems but then I went to load my account and it crashes. I am playing on a Galaxy S4 and was not having any problems with this event until I got to The Safe house.

I play on GS4 too. It did it to me once, I forced closed and restarted my phone. It worked fine after that. Same with Alissa. Hers did it like 3 times. She is on a 6. Try that and also report it from your game please so they can track it.

Currently at 234. Not as many as I’d like, but the event just started. Also last night I set peter and Chris (I think?) on their one hour tasks to get stuff with the plans of setting them to longer tasks before bed, but I fell a asleep before I could do that. Same with the mobsters. Oh well!

This should make you feel good: I’m just at 45 mob rep as of 10pm EST June 6. But I just started the last step of Part 2 of the main Corleone quest: build the Cigar Merchant. Was busy clearing land before. Characters have earned about 225 cookies so far, spent 15 on a wandering goon and 20 on the Cigar Merchant. Long way to go before Peter’s Fatfather suit is unlocked.

Anyone else’s RV disappear? I bought one with cookies and used top be able to train 6 goons, but suddenly my goons disappeared and my RV is gone and gone from the store.

Check town. The RV’s are available in different stages. First for 125 Cookies and 250 Clams. Then it goes and another comes into play for 1000 Cookies, but won’t trigger til later.
If the RV you bought with cookies is still no where in town or Inventory, reach out to them from your game.
As far as the Goons, you will Hire them at Copahavana and each one takes 30 mins. As one finishes, the next one will automatically start timing down in the queue. So they may already be out walking your streets of Quahog.

In my experience, the goons don’t come out until you hit the check mark above the club. Then, however many are done come out all at once.
