UPDATE 6/10 1:55 PM EST: I just wanted to share with you something DIRECTLY from Matt @ TinyCo in regards to the Crashing…
The crash-on-load issue is our top priority today, and we are working to get a fix out as soon as possible. If you are experiencing this issue, please send us an email using the “Crash FAQ” page that appears the next time you load the game after a crash. We look forward to everyone being back in Quahog as soon as possible.
So for those of you still having these issues, please report the crash issue if you have not done so already. They are still tracking WHAT devices are mainly experiencing this issue to ensure they cover them all. They are still hard at work and will not stop working on it until they get it resolved and Players back in the game. So hang in there. I know it is difficult as you want to play, but know that you are NOT forgotten about. Not at all. 🙂
Side Note: For those of you that are attempting to use the “CRASH FAQ” page and getting a dead page or anything other than the ability to send a report, can you please send me some screenshots of what you ARE seeing? I am sending them to TinyCo. Email the Screenshots to familyguyaddicts@gmail.com Got what I needed, thanks.
Tip: For those able to get back into the game, try to avoid the Warehouse and Neighbor/Ollie visits as it seems to trigger a crash again. Try to stick to the main gaming area until the patches are complete and in place.
UPDATE 6/10: Issue plaguing mainly Android users with Crashing is still continuing to be worked on. Just wanted to let you know. Hoping the patches are close.
UPDATE 10:25PM EST: TinyCo Engineers continue to work in the Crashing Issues. They believe they have pinpointed the cause. Just working on patching it now.
UPDATE 6/8: Seeing reports of some players able to get into their games by using the Basics listed by the bottom of this post. For those of you still Crashing, they are still working on it. Just keep reporting it to them, it will let them know all the devices impacted to make sure they are looking into all causes and providing patches for them.

Seeing an increase of reports from you all in regards to getting to certain points in the game and getting booted out but can’t return.
I have been reporting all to TinyCo Tech and they are currently looking into it. The best thing to do at this time is to continue to report it so they can track the trigger points and devices having the issue.
IF you can get in your game, send them an in game message. If you are not able to, please email them right away help@tinyco.com.
Make sure you include the following information:
- Your Player ID if you know it/ have it (Menu/Account/ Long # Lower Right of Screen).
- If you don’t have a Player ID, at least send them an image of your Opening Splash Screen with the #’s that are broken on the Lower Left and Right. But Player ID will always be best.
- Let them know WHEN the crashing started to happen. Like what were you last doing? What triggered it?
- Let them know any Basic Troubleshooting you’ve tried. Like uninstall, clear Memory, etc
- Give them the details of YOUR device. Brand, Model, App Market Version, etc
- Add any additional Details you feel would be helpful.
If you would like to note the stats here, feel free to share them with your fellow Players as well but PLEASE NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR PLAYER ID ON ANY WEBSITE COMMENTS AT ALL. It will be out there for the public. Keep that between you and TinyCo and in rare cases, when we seek them to pass on directly to Tech Support to track an issue at TinyCo’s direct request.

Which of the two updates was first? Regardless, basic methods don’t work to fix my game, and I’m continuing to report the crashes to Tinyco. This is day two of being unable to play the game. I hope they fix it soon.

I get kicked out of the game every 2 or 3 minutes after launching the game. I did not reach the point that all of you are talking about but I did upgrade my phone to Android 5. Now I don’t know if crashing is caused by my Android version or if it is linked with game upgrade(I still don’t have FatFather, so I’m in the beginning of the event). Did anyone of you notice crashing right after event started?

Still not fixed… Have done all the trouble shooting… Now I’m sure I have fallen to depths of leaderboard…guess it’s time to quit. I’m pretty ticked off!!!

This glitch is almost certainly related to Consuela’s warehouse. I was kicked out several times last night attempting to claim the one-star prize. The pop-up would appear, but I would get booted when I clicked the green button. When I did finally get back in (after several failed attempts), I decided to let it sit there until later – touching the prize box was clearly a bad thing, so I felt it was best to avoid it.
I had no problems with it this morning, and even managed to get past the first obstacle of round 2 – so I assumed they had fixed the bug. But an attempt to visit Olliland promptly booted me again. Since then, I have only been able to get on intermittently – and usually only after several failed attempts.
The funny thing is that I have cleared my cache, cleared my data, uninstalled/reinstalled on 2 different devices, and I had no problems getting to the game after doing so – you know, the level 1 reset when it thinks you are a new player. It is only when I “change users” and log in to my profile that the problem begins again. Makes me think that it is not my device(s), but rather something in the event.
I have emailed TinyCo twice now, and no response. Actually, the first response was them saying “Before we can assist you, please send us your username, PlayerID or Device ID” in spite of the fact that I had included that information in the first line of my message. Mmmkay…
Since I appear to be on my own here, my bootleg solution is simply to leave the game on and logged in (disabling the screen shutoff so it will not interfere) until I get word from the overlords on high that the bug has been squashed. Seriously though, anyone else catch the irony of a bug in the area where cockroaches are one of the prizes?

Seem a popup saying some file was missing but I never been able to master the samsung swipe to screen shot.
I seen it after opening the game from task manager without force stopping it after a crash.
I know your a die-hard like myself so maybe you can trigger it?
Ps send everything to inventory less chances of it crashing once you do get in.

Actually, keeping the game open seems to be working just fine – since the problem seems to be the whole logging in thing, I figured I could eliminate that by not logging out. I only got an error message once, but paid it no mind since it seemed so random.
I already had a ton of characters stored to inventory. The only ones active were the 5 or 6 that had tasks for this event, and 10 more that were still being levelled up (most of them doing inside tasks). I have virtually no animated decos on display, and only a single piece of road (so the cookie trucks just sit there). Plus, since I had cleared all my data, the app is down to only a few hundred megs (I do this frequently after events so I am not choking on several gigs worth of useless updates) – so memory is certainly not a problem.
I have been playing for a full year now, and this is the first time I have ever had any issues of this kind. And since it is happening on both of my devices, my only conclusion is that it must something within the game itself. So hopefully the drones at TinyCo have their Wizard Hats on and can arrive at a solution in a timely manner. Until then, I will keep the game open and grind on…

Yeah I been here with you here for the year +..
First time I got whacked as well. Looking like it a 1 out of 20/30 tries let’s you in. Force stopping and such don’t make a diffrence just keep on hitting login. .
On a good side note I did just up my 4g package to 10gb for this event so now can watch plenty of cat err I mean bunny vids on YouTube. ..

Unlocked the safe house. Encountered the problem on the next load a couple hours later. Samsung Note 4. Force closed the app and cleared cache. No problems since on two reloads, without having to do anything else. If that’s all I’ll need to do when I run into the problem, I’ll live. Hope it’s as easy for everyone else…

When i emailed them i didnt even get an auto reply like i normally do. Should i assume they got it anyway? It feels like talking to a freaking wall when they dont even send anything back saying they recieved my email.

Luckily no crashes so far. But I think I’m just about to the point where a lot are seeing it. Gonna try my luck and press on. (My device very rarely has any issues with this game. Which is funny, I’m on an iPhone 4 that’s basically on life support. Haha!)
I hate to keep yapping on about the leaderboard, but I really wish they’d get the game up and running on facebook before they try something like that. Most people would at least then have a second way of accessing their Quahog when crashing rears it’s ugly head. Hate to see the comments of some who have spent money on the event missing precious points.

I’ve been playing this game on my Motorola Droid Ultra since (almost) the beginning, never had crashing/lagging/glitching issues for that entire year and then some, but unfortunately I have been plagued by the same issues everyone else seems to be having this time around. Splash screen, yellow bar fills up… “Unfortunately Family Guy Has Stopped Working.” A few things have worked for me though: 1. I just keep trying. It crashes, I wait a minute, then try again. About every 4 or 5 crashes, it directs me to the TinyCo troubleshooting page, I use my “back” button, and I can get in ONCE. 2. Restarting my phone sometimes lets me in ONCE. 3. Finally the dreaded uninstall/reinstall I tried let me in… You guessed it, once. I love this game, and I’m very hopeful that TinyCo will rectify all of this, as a lot of us are falling behind in the event progress, not to mention the money many of us spend on it. I just dumped $50 on clams a few days ago specifically for this event, right before this all started. Help us TinyCo! Yes, we’re addicts, admittedly… But what a wonderful addiction! Anyway, I hope it gets fixed SOON, and we can all enjoy what seems to be a totally awesome and in depth event!

Been locked out since around 10am EST. I’ve only been able to get back in once despite two reinstalls. Like most of you, reached Consuela’s safehouse and was working through the questlines when I had a crash, but didnt seem out of the ordinary bc my game crashes ALL THE TIME. But then of course it wouldn’t let me back in :(. It’s obvious they know about it, so I guess there isn’t much else to do but wait. As a Computer Scientist, I know there’s glitches in every program, but cmon, this game has been out over a year now and they still have issues that bring down the entire game? Just sloppy. Sloppy and greedy is what they are.

Unable to get into the game at all today/tonight, crashes every time during loading. Won’t work on my phone or tablet, both android. Last thing I did in the game was upgrade the mansion I think last night. Sent in an email with my game info, this sucks… again… ughhhh

I am *still* having issues unfortunately. The game keeps locking me out at the intro screen every other try. TinyCo has not responded at all to any of my messages (not even just a quick line of acknowledgment), which is quite disappointing and frustrating. I feel kinda helpless not knowing what else to do. I had spent some money on this event trying to get a nice head-start, and now I’m so far behind I may not even be able to achieve any of the big prizes on the leaderboard/personal prize board. Also some of my fellow neighbor friends have been in touch with me telling me they are also still having the same exact problems, so clearly MUCH MORE needs to be done to fix this. Is there any new developments?

All you can do is try the basics as some are able to get back in with them, if not… it is just waiting. Many are still down so the help line is flooded. Hang in there. We will update here if we hear anything more back.

I recieved 2 replies back from Tinyco so far. One wad requesting a bit more info from me, the second was an auto type reply that they said they sent out to most people.. stating that they had found the problem and were working on a fix. Both replies i recieved today after sending them my glitch report last night.
So for me, at least that feels promising. Still think though with people being locked out that a global leaderboard for this entire event is not such a great thing. But all i can do is wait.
I found that i can access my game at home using my daughter’s iPad but my phone ( Samsung Galaxy S3 still crashes. )

Okay, so little bit of a bright spot… maybe.
I have been running my tablet on 4.4 Kitkat. I finally flipped the bone and upgraded it to Lollipop 5.02 this morning…. after having had deleted Family Guy.
Once all was upgraded, I re-downloaded Family Guy on a clean system so Android would acclimate to it on first load.
SUCCESS!!! I am now happily logged back in and playing cleanly on both of my devices again!

Any word on if any one will be compensated for everything that could have been collected during the time these issues were happening haven’t been able to do anything in this event. Been having issues since the firefighter evwnt but they keep cramming them in so close. Wish I could actually enjoy this event looks great. Well have fun to all of those who can actually enjoy this event.

Hi Bunny, is there any news at all about them fixing this crashing issue? Ive been locked out of my game for a day and a half now, ever since I had upgraded the mansion. I went through every single step to try to fix this. I’ve cleared the cache, made sure I havd a ton of memory and ram, ive uninstalled and reinstalled, I’ve emailed TinyCo 8 times now but still nothing, its like they dont care at all. I cant get in my game on any device….not my tablet or my phone. They’ve pushed patches very quickly for other things but with this, they haven’t done anything. Other people I know personally have been locked out of their games for going on 4 days now and not a peep from TinyCo. I know I’m now so incredibly far behind everyone else and it feels so horribly wrong and extremely unfair. I dont know what else to do…..I went to their website and their Facebook page and they have made no mention at all about this problem and they havent said anything about fixing the problem at all. Are they just hoping people will figure it out on their own or are they not caring to fix it cuz they are wanting to decrease the amount of players they have or what cuz this is wrong for the problem to go on this long without there being a patch pushed through or peoples games getting fixed. They should hold off on the leaderboards until every single player is fully in their games with no issues at all before they even think of releasing the leaderboard. This problem shouldnt have lasted this long. It should’ve been 100% fixed within the first half hour but no longer than an hour after the problems began. I’m so sorry for how I sound right now, I know its not your fault at all and I know there are several others on this site affected by this massive crashing issue as well…..I just dont know what to do. This game was the only thing I could find to distract me from the grief I’ve been dealing with over the many loved ones I’ve lost very very recently as well as my game was the only distraction that worked at all to distract me from my chemo treatments and surgeries. It was the only thing to put me at ease to not think of the horrid side effects of what I go through such as severe debilitating pain, nausea and dozens of other side effects I wont mention. My game was my only escape from all that I’m dealing with combined……now, I have nothing. Its enough to bring me to tears. I’m hoping that you have any news as to what’s going on cuz TinyCo isnt answering me. I’ve done everything on your 2 checklists to try to fix this and I’ve done everything on TinyCo’s main website to try to fix this, but nothings working. Is there anything else at all I can try that hasnt been mentioned that might get me back in my game at all? I appreciate all that you guys do and again I’m truly sorry for any wrong tone in this message. Im just upset with this situation.

I have been talking to them since the issue started up the other night. From that moment til now they’ve been working in it and I continue communication with them. Trying to pinpoint the cause as it varies. It’s not impacting all players so they’re trying to isolate the main triggers and devices that are impacted. Until a complete resolution is found, all I can suggest is any impacted report all the specifics listed here via email to them. The helplines are flooded, but they’re focusing more on fixing the issue right now.
Some are able to get in through basics, like I updated at top of this post, so you’re welcome to try if you want to see if any of it helps.

Having same problem. Game will not load passed opening screen. Started right after Oil upgrading the Mansion. I emailed into Tinyco and did all of the troubleshooting steps. Was able to upload game, login and play. Then when I could not get back in, I reinstalled again. That let me get into game, but it crashes after I summit my log in credentials.
Sorry to have this as my first comment. If it were not for a site like this, I would have not progressed as far as I have.

Hi -apologies if this has already been touched on/ in the wrong post but is anyone else noticing that sometimes the fedora count does not increase when you earn fedoras? I did notice that there was a delay similar to the leaf counter in the recent nature event at first. Then I thought it was just me and my really bad math skills 😀 but I noticed just now that it didn’t increase for the 2 fedoras I got from Bonnie. This isn’t happening all the time – probably maybe 3 times since I noticed it. Thanks.

Having similar issue, am trying to get dog food for chihuahuas and intermittently getting locked out. Reinstall let me in for a day and now am locked out again. Have contacted support.

Update: reinstalled, was reset to Lev 1 but could access the game, but when linked to google play act, can no longer load. And yes, have emailed updated info to support as well. Just kills me since item tasks have finished and I can’t keep them going. This will likely affect my place on the leaderboards. 😦

Mine was crashing when I started to raid the lemon fresh factory. It kept happening until the candy shop was finished (diabeto still locked) then it didn’t crash again.

Looking back this makes sense. It only takes 2 goons for the first section of the raid but the reward drops are for unlocking Diabeto. Without the candy shop in the game it doesn’t know what to do with the reward drop. crashes.

This glitch got our house! My father on his android and both my android and Kindle boot right out. For a few hours I was able to get in via the Kindle but now we are locked out of both our games. At least I had time to place Diabetico and send some more goons. I hope this is not a trend for the rest of the event as I have already gone through all troubleshooting.

I’m also on Mob Mentality Part 6, and my game is crashing immediately every time the loading bar finishes. The game said that reinstalling would fix the problem, so I tried this. I had to go through the tutorial again before I could reconnect my game, and then it only let me load my old game once before it started crashing again.

I really hope they plan on extending the end if this crashing issue is not resolved. I’ve only been able to get on twice in the last 16 hours. And I tend to not ever have problems, even when a lot of other people are reporting they are. It also sucks that they’ve now got the whole leaderboard thing and I’m shut out and unable to earn, while other people seem to be getting on. I have an Android phone and Android tablet and neither is making it on. Very frustrated.

Has anyone had any luck fixing this glitch by uninstalling and then reinstalling the app? I don’t want to go through the trouble of doing that if it’s not gonna fix the problem. I’m having a lot easier time getting the game to load up but every time I click the check on the forklift with the sparkling Lemon box on it, it crashes immediately and I lose most/all of what I’ve done in that session.

My problems started once the Lemon cleaner warehouse area opened. I couldn’t get past the loading screen 90% of the time, eventually I had to nuke my town which I’ve never had to do & basically ruined my town.
I had a LOT of animated decorations & buildings, NPCs & lots of characters on outside tasks which I guess contributed to the issue. I first tried putting all of those into my inventory & put the characters on indoor tasks, but unfortunately had no effect, so my last resort (after re-installing the game numerous times) was to nuke it.
I figured I only have a finite amount of space / ram & finally something had to give.
The game seems to load fine now…

This is so frustrating. Doesn’t Tinyco test this stuff thoroughly before releasing these events? This is Star Trek all over again but instead of at the end of the event it happens at the beginning of the event. So far this is going to put people that this affects seriously behind in the leader boards which I think are stupid ideas especially for a game like this. I know the Leader Boards don’t go live until today but I remember reading that any progress made before it goes live will still count. Well I hope that Tinyco more the compensates for this other than an extension because I am really starting to get tired of something like this crashing happening for the last two major events.

I had unlocked Consuela’s Safe House, and was working through those associated tasks. I was liking this event up to this point. Seems like this might give those who aren’t or can’t monitor their game every few minutes, a chance to catch up.
Just a quick aside: TinyCo’s QA/testing process is really bad.

This hit me half an hour ago, right after mansion upgrade, tried a reinstall etc., managed to get in a couple of times after repeated tries but got kicked out seconds later. Bit worried as the first time I got in after reinstall my 600+ cookies showed zero 😦 at least my fedoras where still there.

I posted in another thread about this already, but my gamehas been doing same thing since late last night. Good to know they’re working on it. Sucks to lose a day of play, felt like I was progressing pretty well before that.

Still have the same issues as everyone else, starting at Mob Mentality Pt. 6, but now I occasionally am getting another message besides the “stopped working” one. Consuela pops up with a note saying “bad function call”. Anyone experienced this message or know what it means?

I’m having the same problem. As soon as I upgraded the mansion….boom….my game kicked me out and my tablet went back to the tablets home screen. I tried to log back into the game and it starts to look like everything I fine cuz it shows the yellow bar showing the game is loading, but once the yellow bar at the bottom is full, it again kicks me out and sends me back to my tablets home screen every single time I try. I havent been able to get back into my game at all the whole day! So I’ve missed an entire day which obviously is gonna impact me severely on the leaderboard. This sucks severely! I went through all of the steps completely desperately hoping it would get fixed but nope, its still not working. I cleared the cache, I made sure I have tons of memory available for the game, I force closed, I uninstalled the game and reinstalled. Nothing is working at all. I dont have my player id cuz it wont let me in at all to even retrieve it. I hope to god they fix this asap. This is horrible!

Just wanna say aside from the fact i cant play, this event is really awesome. I like the prizes set up like this sooo much better than having to craft them. This is the first time ive ever bought bought a currency generator. I was looking forward to sitting back and sailing through this one. I was going to nuke my town today and create like a mob area with italians vs mexican thing going on. Its gonna be cool.

My game just started crasing about 20 min ago. I’ve rebooted my phone. Made sure nothing else was running. Have not tried reinstalling just yet.

Thought i was doing ok keeping up with people for this global leaderboard thing, without spending any clams for this event. Since i spent a few on the Star Trek event. Sadly with people being locked out of their games it will put them behind. Hopefully they take this into consideration.

Unrelated related question. What does having your player id able someone to do? Wouldn’t they need the account email to be able to do anything. Just curious. I’ve never given out my number but didn’t think it was usable.

So thus far, what number seems to be the trigger for those of us who haven’t encountered it? I’m just kind of curious seeing as I’m still attempting to get pat unlocked.

I am seeing it both around Upgrading the Mansion as well as unlocking the Safehouse.

Yeah it’s wicked crappy lol wont let me in at all it happend the first time when i built the safehouse it let me play for a little while then kicked me me off every min or so now cant get in at all. This is the first problem I’ve had with the game disappointed because i was enjoying the event so far.

Time is ranking, and therefore prizes. I got kicked out today at the same stage as most others, and just get the loading screen. I’m not a fan of mafia films, so haven’t been that enthused by the event theme, but I’ll still be a little peeved if I lose out on any free skins or characters because of this crash.

Yep. A day and a half of lost play for me, so about a third of the time we’ve been able to play the event. It seems to be stabilizing for me now in the last hour, I’ve started up the game quite a few times without it crashing. Hopefully it stays that way.
