UPDATE 6/10 1:55 PM EST: I just wanted to share with you something DIRECTLY from Matt @ TinyCo in regards to the Crashing…
The crash-on-load issue is our top priority today, and we are working to get a fix out as soon as possible. If you are experiencing this issue, please send us an email using the “Crash FAQ” page that appears the next time you load the game after a crash. We look forward to everyone being back in Quahog as soon as possible.
So for those of you still having these issues, please report the crash issue if you have not done so already. They are still tracking WHAT devices are mainly experiencing this issue to ensure they cover them all. They are still hard at work and will not stop working on it until they get it resolved and Players back in the game. So hang in there. I know it is difficult as you want to play, but know that you are NOT forgotten about. Not at all. 🙂
Side Note: For those of you that are attempting to use the “CRASH FAQ” page and getting a dead page or anything other than the ability to send a report, can you please send me some screenshots of what you ARE seeing? I am sending them to TinyCo. Email the Screenshots to familyguyaddicts@gmail.com Got what I needed, thanks.
Tip: For those able to get back into the game, try to avoid the Warehouse and Neighbor/Ollie visits as it seems to trigger a crash again. Try to stick to the main gaming area until the patches are complete and in place.
UPDATE 6/10: Issue plaguing mainly Android users with Crashing is still continuing to be worked on. Just wanted to let you know. Hoping the patches are close.
UPDATE 10:25PM EST: TinyCo Engineers continue to work in the Crashing Issues. They believe they have pinpointed the cause. Just working on patching it now.
UPDATE 6/8: Seeing reports of some players able to get into their games by using the Basics listed by the bottom of this post. For those of you still Crashing, they are still working on it. Just keep reporting it to them, it will let them know all the devices impacted to make sure they are looking into all causes and providing patches for them.
Hang in there, will update if I see any further information from them on it.
Hey there Mobsters!
Seeing an increase of reports from you all in regards to getting to certain points in the game and getting booted out but can’t return.
I have been reporting all to TinyCo Tech and they are currently looking into it. The best thing to do at this time is to continue to report it so they can track the trigger points and devices having the issue.
IF you can get in your game, send them an in game message. If you are not able to, please email them right away help@tinyco.com.
Make sure you include the following information:
- Your Player ID if you know it/ have it (Menu/Account/ Long # Lower Right of Screen).
- If you don’t have a Player ID, at least send them an image of your Opening Splash Screen with the #’s that are broken on the Lower Left and Right. But Player ID will always be best.
- Let them know WHEN the crashing started to happen. Like what were you last doing? What triggered it?
- Let them know any Basic Troubleshooting you’ve tried. Like uninstall, clear Memory, etc
- Give them the details of YOUR device. Brand, Model, App Market Version, etc
- Add any additional Details you feel would be helpful.
If you would like to note the stats here, feel free to share them with your fellow Players as well but PLEASE NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR PLAYER ID ON ANY WEBSITE COMMENTS AT ALL. It will be out there for the public. Keep that between you and TinyCo and in rare cases, when we seek them to pass on directly to Tech Support to track an issue at TinyCo’s direct request.
Some have tried some Basic Troubleshooting and have been able to get in and out for a bit. If you would like, here they are…

I’m sure I’m not the only one this has happened to…but I got my first gold cookie truck today. I robbed it 3 TIMES, due to a glitch that kept kicking me off the game. The fourth time, it wasn’t there, and I had NO BOXING GLOVES!! I feel ripped off…should I just stick to The Simpsons: Tapped Out, since it’s NEVER glitches like this game, or are we going to be compensated somehow? Oh I’m using the newest generation iPad btw, just like my girlfriend, who it happened to as well.

So happy to have my game back up and running!!! Curious why Im no longer ranked for mob rep? Anyone else? Also have huge areas of black pixels where my event area is and on the surrounding edges of the fg map.

On the mob leader board top left where it says your rank, mine didn’t have a # just said not ranked. Just checked again and apparently I was just being impatient… it loaded finally. Silly me 😉 Thanks though!

I thought I was one of the lucky ones by not having any crashes and was still playing okay yesterday before I went to bed I did my usual routine of sending everyone on either tasks for event currency or 8 hour tasks, left the game and switched my tablet off for the night. Low and behold this morning at 8 am (GMT) i switched my tablet on and started getting the crash issue. Finally logged a ticket with Tiny Co though the Web page that it sends you and they say they are hoping to release a patch update “tonight”

Hey Bunny I just got an email from Tiny Co saying they were releasing a patch later today that should fix the crashing. Hopefully it works. I dropped from 2100 on the leader boards to 16000

It isn’t just android I’m on ipad and I’m having the issue when trying to clear the second forklift obstacle I was doing quite well and now falling behind! Why am I not surprised there’s another event and yet more problems they need to seriously start getting their acts together at Tinyco I’ve said it before I’d have deleted this game by now if I hadn’t put so much money in to it, now really annoyed. I have let Tinyco know no response yet but it hasn’t been that long but I’m never impressed with their responses anyway I’m also not willing to nuke my town as it’s been suggested, I’ve worked and spent money on building my town to have it the way it is as many others have We shouldn’t have to nuke it to play the game!

I managed to get back into the game this morning after 2 days. took the advice from above and just stuck to collecting coins from buildings and it crashed and cannot get back into the game. paling on 3rd gen kindle fire hdx only got it to play family guy so over 10GB free space and os is up to date.

Once ive hit max XP at level
60, is there any point in actually keeping any buildings in the game? I mean i have over $3m in coins which at this point i cant see myself ever using, so should i just have the 2 or 3 buildings producing hats and doughnuts and store everything else? Would apreciate your opinion Bunny!

I store a ton of items away in any game, more for game stability. Then keep an “EVENT/Seasonal” area that I play around with off n on moving items and ideas in n out. Like you said, there isn’t a point to get a billion coins. Not until more Districts come. I have enough in there now to generate enough cash to keep me going for now. 🙂

My game has crashed at least 50 times I, the past day. Some tasks I have done half a dozen times before they took. I have made over twenty reports to tiny co and have not heard back. At this point, I just want my 100 clams back that I wasted on the restaurant and I will maybe log in next month after this mob event is over.

BUNNY.. just got this email from TC…. you probably already are aware of it….
“Crash update: we have submitted an update to address crashing on load and while clearing obstacles. This update will also ensure you keep your goons if the game crashes while clearing an obstacle.
We expect this update to be live on Android tonight. Approval on iOS and Amazon may still take several days, but we are working to roll those out as fast as possible.”

It is not just Android having issues. I am on an iPhone 5 and have been having my game crash when trying to clear warehouse obstacles for 2 days now (also lost 20 goons in the process of the crashes). Currently unable to progress and leaderboard number is dropping quick since my rep gains are minimal from tasks and buildings.
The support team has been returning messages which is nice, but I have still lost a lot of time and cookies.
Plenty of memory and space on the phone, even force closed everything and restarted the device without any luck.

I nuked my entire layout. And ONLY placed needed buildings for the event. Boom. no more crashing.

Good idea, once youve reached XP level 60, theres no point in actually having any buildings in the game at all, so i agree, just have the 2 or 3 buildings you need for the event and no crashing will occur.
With everything in it at 2gb the game is just too big now.

Of course the only time it would crash on me is when I am trying to start the 3rd obstacle course it takes everything I had already done in those 30 seconds! My 6 wiseconds guys, my mom experience, and the cookies from buying more wise guys! Just to say it was annoying is definitely being nice!

I was so excited for the leaderboard feature to see where my constant playing around the clock would place me. That’s pretty much shot now, since I don’t know what could happen to put things back to a level field (at least accurately). What frustrates me is 1. seeing the error over and over, 2. my battery life draining away because my screen is constantly on for the retries, 3. I can’t collect my daily clam because I can’t go to Ollieland, and 4. I can’t progress because the other place I can’t click is the only thing I need right now- I’m ready to unlock Diabeto and can’t because the warehouse crashes me even when I do get in.
Serious withdrawal going on here. I was so excited that I was getting responses from support, but I haven’t heard from them in 2 days now. My birthday is tomorrow- a working game is the only gift I want right now. Maybe some padded numbers to make up for my dropping standings, too.

It varies by player’s device, so up to you to try. I cleared up a lot of my town after a nuke and only have essentials out and mine just crashed a lil in the beginning with the “Goon” Obstacles but I was right back in. Outside the “Sample Cookies” task, nothing since then. Running a lot smoother for me.

Finally got past the end of warehouse level 2 and game only crashes now when it fails to logout. No problems logging back in.
Half way through part 3 so hoping it not get the bug back at end.

Unfortunately I think I’m done with this game, I played religiously for the past 8 months and spent more then I should on clams. But with this whole leader board deal and my game crashing I think it’s time to move on. I think the only way they could keep me as a customer at this point is to say they are sorry, give everyone an extra week on the mob event, and give out all the leader board items to every player, plus refund my clams that I lost. Pretty much anything short of that and I’m done with this game.

We understand. Right now, they need to fix it first. Then once it’s complete, you can address all your concerns for the “time down” you experienced as it will be varied by player.

Day 5 now of this nonsense for me. If they ever get it working again, they need start over with a new & seperate event for android users. Those of us who have not been able to play have no chance whatsoever for any of the mid to higher leaderboard prizes.
As I said before, if I didn’t have so much time & money invested in this game it wouldn’t bother me so much, but right now I’m seriously irked. I’d like to see TinyCo offer some kind of game delete option with some type of refund on money invested for those of us who are fed up with this mess of a game.

If it crashed when you won them… it may not have had the chance to save the progress. See if it still shows you as winning them in the Warehouse. If not, then sadly that progress is gone. If it does show them won still… double check your Inventory. If not there… contact TinyCo.

Hi guys and dolls this mob update error has lost me 2 days but after lots of trying I’ve found if the game stops loading
1.clear the game from running in the background
2.then in your setting find airplane mode switch this on and it will stop wifi, then restart the game
3. you get a error screen fully load the bar then clear, close down
4. Then in setting again switch off airplane mode wifi will start
5.restart the game and your game should start
My game starts like this hope yours does too
P’S stay away from the warehouse this tends to start the error

If I have to jump through all those hoops to just get the game to load (and who knows for how long before I have to do it again), I’d rather just sit things out till a fix is released.

I wish TinyCo would just come clean and acknowledge……. ***** I’m trying to keep a sense of humor by what appears to be absurdity but this has gone on so long it’s becoming more difficult. Bluestacks was crashing so I can’t use that, my iOS device is a older than my android and that’s crashing a LOT forcing me to wait until there is an android fix.

Now now… you KNOW I can’t post that here. 😉 Funny as it is, it is not PG.
I know the wait is killing and it does seem like forever, sadly it is not a simple patch like some other items can be. It is only impacting some Android, not all… so that took a bit to find the cause and isolate it too. They have to create an entire new build for Android. So it is a lil time consuming process, but still their main focus right now.
Sorry, I know it’s driving those of us that are Addicts COMPLETELY INSANE, but know that they are on it. 🙂

Not to complain too much but, they needed a build for Android that worked from the get go. If it did not work, or was not tested (and apparently it was not, or at least not tested enough), they had no business releasing it.

I get that, but like I said… ALL Android is not impacted. I know it seems like it because comments, but it is actually working just fine for a large portion of Android Users. As technology progresses, older devices and even some new ones not equipped will struggle with certain programs. Technology is constantly changing, so it is hard to always stay on top of it. Just glad they’re doing all they can to keep as many players as possible in the game. Us Addicts need our game fix. 😉

Hi I’m glad it not just me and after a lot of reinstalling pressed the warehouse tick and got told won 1 item of 3 and crashed again so once again new install then just play the game leaving warehouse well alone will let you guys know the result fingers crossed

I followed some other addicts’ advice and tried loading over and over and finally got in. It didn’t take 10 tries, but it did take a few. I have no problems visiting neighbors long enough to get my clam for the day, but I don’t try to visit anyone else. When I have enough dog food, I will try visiting Consuela’s place. Just wanted to let y’all know that there is hope! Thank you for the regular updates! We all really appreciate your help. And thank you to Matt at Tinyco for keeping Bunny in the loop.

So I was able to login finally, but nothing was rendering. No people. No buildings. also the music from the beginning of the game was playing. Then I lost connection and I can’t get in again.

Hi there,
I’m not having issues with the game loading as such, but I keep putting all of the characters on missions and then check the game later and they are all walking round as if I haven’t put them on any missions. Also, when I have hired mob people and go back on the game to check on progress, there are non loading and non waking around (as if I haven’t loaded them in the first place) This doesn’t happen every time but I am also not getting anything from when missions do actually complete (I.e dog food, taco’s etc) I know that we don’t get them everyone but I have been trying for days and still haven’t received anything and it is becoming very frustrating. Has anyone else had the same issues? Does anyone know if there is a fix coming for this?

As far as Characters “wandering” that sounds like a possible Memory issue. It’s not saving your progress. May want to try a few tricks I use to help that part.
If it doesn’t help, also report it from in your game.

My boyfriend who rarely ever plays has surpassed me in mob ranking by almost 500 fedoras! So disappointed.. I have an Android tablet, he has a tablet through Amazon. Guess I should have gotten a tablet through Amazon, too… He rarely sees any problems. I think he enjoys seeing me frustrated with the game continuously crashing! Laughs at me every time..

I feel bad for everyone with issues. I have run this game on four different devices and have never once had an issue. I would imagine there has to be some type of common bond between all the users experiencing problems. That is most likely the key to fixing the problem for good.

It’s plaguing mainly Android. Not all though. Mine are up and running. But I also have nuked my towns. So not too many items to impact the Memory outside of what I really need in there.
Either way, they are going to patch it. Just a matter of time now til it’s completed.

I can’t even load into the game without it crashing for several days now. I guess the leaderboards idea for the event is totally pointless now. Hope they fix it soon and extend the event by however many days it keeps preventing people from logging in 😥

Apparently I can’t contact Tinyco support on their website either…I wrote down all the relevant info to send them, clicked send, and nothing happens. It has a loading symbol but it’s been 20 minutes without a change. Tried reloading the page and trying again…same thing.

I’m getting withdrawal symptoms after 3 days… 😥
I used to be able to get back in after just clearing the app data but that stopped working too. Short of giving the prices of to everyone I can’t see what TinyCo can do to restore fairness. It seemed to be important enough to them that they removed the Star Trek characters from the fedora-earning roster but now they have no way of knowing who was penalised by the crashes and who wasn’t. Even if they checked the access logs, at the beginning I could get into the game OK to give tasks to the Star Trek guys but couldn’t hire new goons, which is just as bad as being locked out for the leaderboards.
Thank you so much for all the hard work and keeping us posted, I for one would certainly have lost my mind without your updates.

Maximum frustration… I was in about 1300th place before the game decided to crash. It hasn’t opened since. Every day I wonder how far down the leaderboard I tumbled. I was really hoping to get top 1000 in this event before. Now I feel like I will be luck to get top 10,000. I know its just a game but I want to earn my fake internet points so I can get my fake internet stuff because the happiness it brings is real.

That I do not know and can’t say. There is a LOT of new work for Android they are doing to help with Crash Issue. Not a simple fix, but they’re on it none the less. Once I get something other than “working on it” I will pass it on. Hopefully, that’s soon. 😉

I’m getting the crash issue bad. Impossible to log in via android so any chance at the leaderboard is down the toilet. The thing is I have been able to log in with my pc through facebook but for some reason I can’t hire mobsters while doing this. There’s no cost listed and the hire button doesn’t work. Anyone seen this, and is there a way around it?

I’m on a Galaxy Note 3, running the Android Lollipop version of OS. The only time I’m experiencing crashing is trying to send Peter on the “sample cookies” task. I did send an in-game message, but wasn’t sure if anyone else is experiencing it at this point only as well and just wanted to share. I just sent him on a different one and didn’t have the issue of the game crashing, but the payout was much better for a “I’m going to bed” task. 🙂
