Hey there all you Mafioso!
This Mobster Event has brought a strange new twist into our silly lil games and I for one am excited to see how it all plays out. It is a mix of Individual Goals as well as some Fun Competition.
In this post I will be breaking down the ins n outs of the Leaderboards.
HOW DO I SEE THE LEADERBOARDS?
In order to get to the Leaderboards, your quickest route will be the Trophies Icon in the Lower Right Corner of your game screen. Tapping on the icon will jump you right into them.
Once in there you will see all the different Tabs for information on the Leaderboards. As you bounce round the Leaderboard, you will see many options that travel with you from Screen to Screen.
Top Left & Center: Your Current Rank, followed by how recently ago that Rank was Updated.
Bottom Center: You will find a quick arrow up and arrow down option to jump to the Player Ranks through all the Top Tiers.
Bottom Right: You will see a Countdown to how long before the Leaderboard refreshes.
INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD
This is a where you will see all the Prizes YOU can win in the game by collection Fedoras (Mob Rep). As you hit a Goal, you will see a Pop Up in your game telling you to “GO” Claim your Prize.
Tapping in it will take you to the Individual Leaderboard so you can tap on “CLAIM” and bring the Prize into your game.
Note: Some of the items will NOT instantly add. For instance, the 750 Cookies were there in my town when I returned. Similar to how they look when they pop out after a task completion. It only took a moment for the game to collect them for me and Update my Cookie Counter. You can also tap on them to collect them if you do not want to wait. Other items may be found in your Inventory Storage, so check there for them when you return.
WHAT PRIZES CAN I EARN FROM THE INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD?
There are a total of 10 Prizes you can get by hitting the Goals for the Fedoras (Mob Rep). As you collect Fedoras to increase your Mob Rep, you can Claim each one of these at the Mob Rep Amount listed. Here are those items.
Prize 1, 250 Cookies: Earn 100 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 2, 10 Clams: Earn 500 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 3, 750 Cookies: Earn 1,000 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 4, Fake Romatic Gondola Ride: Earn 2,500 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 5, 25 Clams: Earn 5,000 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 6, Chainsaw Henchman: Earn 7,500 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 7, Security Octopus: Earn 10,000 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 8, Gurl Scout Headquarters: Earn 12,500 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 9, Mafia Dinner Table: 15,000 Fedoras (Mob Rep)
Prize 10, Kingpin Consuela: 17,500 Fedoras (Mob Rep). Side Note: If you reach 17,500 Mob Rep, you will not only get the Kingpin Consuela Costume but the CHARACTER Consuela too. That is a HUGE savings in Clams.
So just continue to earn as many Fedoras as you can to increase your overall Mob Rep to hit the Individual Prize Payouts.
GLOBAL LEADERBOARD
This is where you can see a complete list of the Prizes that will be awarded to Top Mob Rep Counts at the END of the Mobster Event.
As these Prizes will not be awarded until the End, the information is limited but we will still cover the basics.
The game will let you know what ONE Prize you’re current Rank “Qualifies” you for as well as others close by.
WHAT ARE THE GLOBAL PRIZES?
The Prizes awarded AFTER the Mobster Event ends will be given out by TinyCo. Only ONE Prize per Player. This means no one will get all 10 Prizes. They will only be awarded the Prize they end up ranked at and verified by TinyCo AFTER the Event.
Again, due to these will not be awarded until AFTER the Event the information on them is limited.
Rank 1-100: Don Corleone & Golden Griffin House & Zoot Suit Stewie
Rank 101-1,000: Don Corleone & Silver Griffin House & Zoot Suit Stewie (NOTE: The “Qualified! Tag was just MY standing when the Leaderboards went live.)
Rank 1,001-5,000: Don Corleone & Bronze Griffin House & Zoot Suit Stewie
Rank 5,001-10,000: Don Corleone & Zoot Suit Stewie
Rank 10,001-50,000: Zoot Suit Stewie
Rank 50,001-100,000: Corleone Mansion
Rank 100,001-250,000: Horse Head on Bed
Rank 250,001-500,000: Driveby Car
Rank 500,001-750,000: Don Corleone’s Cat
Rank 750,001-1,000,000: Godfather Toll Booth
Looking at these stats, it seems that at LEAST 1 Million Prizes will be awarded. That’s a LOT. Beyond that, we will just have to wait and see how it plays out. Til then, it should be a fun mix of competition to add to the game for those that want to go for it.
MAIN LEADERBOARD
The Main Leaderboard Tab will take you to the overall Mob Rep Status of 3 Different Areas.
You: This Tab is where you will see your current Mob Rep Ranking in the game. Tapping on it will immediately locate YOUR spot in the Ranks. 
Top 50K: This Tab is where you will see the top 50,000 Players Ranked Highest Currently in Mob Rep. You can scroll up and down to see the names and Mob Rep amounts.
Friends: This Tab is where you will see your Friends/Neighbors Mob Rep ranking in comparison to yours IF you have your game linked via Facebook.
Now that we have the Basics out of the way, let’s dive in a little deeper into the details of the Leaderboards.
HOW DO I GET MORE MOB REP/FEDORAS?
They are available to earn all over the game. Tasks, Questlines, Raids, Buildings, Decorations, etc. So see what options gives YOU the most for the time you put into the game and earn you the most Mob Rep you can.
WHERE WILL I SEE MY TOTAL MOB REP/FEDORAS?
You can see the total amount in your main game by looking to the Lower Right Corner and the Trophies Icon. Your current Mob Rep Total will be displayed there. You can also see it listed at the Top Right Corner of the Leaderboards Pop Up.
The more Mop Rep you earn, the various Rank you will get in the Leaderboards depending on where the other Players competing stand too.
WHAT IS WITH MY NAME ON THE LEADERBOARD?
Each Player will be assigned a Unique and randomly generated Leaderboard Name. These Unique Code Names allow Players to compete against one another will protecting the Individual Privacy of the Players (as many may be using their real names via Facebook).
Take a few minutes to go through some of the names, they are pretty funny.
WHAT IS WITH THE ??? IN THE RANKS?
As the Leaderboard is being calculated, you will see a ? instead of a number. Give it time to refresh and once it is completed, it will update the ranks to the amounts.
I DON’T SEE MY GLOBAL RANK UPDATED?
As this is a compilation of a LOT of Players, it will take much longer at times to refresh. Be patient with it due to it may take upwards of 5+ minutes to refresh the Current Rankings.
UPDATE: I just wanted to clarify for Players as it seems many of you are getting confused on the Ranks. YOUR Ranks will update quickly as you are in YOUR game and it can detect any changes to YOUR stats right away.
As far as the Ranks of you vs GLOBAL, those update around ONCE a day (see top of the Leaderboard to see what time it was last updated. If it is noon and it says “Last updated 6pm PDT”, it means the GLOBAL ranks were updated the night before. So wait for the new days update to see where you stand. They seem to hit between 3-6PM PDT when they update.
Otherwise you will just be bouncing around all day long in stats Globally. So going in there every minute will only tell you where YOU are as far as your friends/Neighbors. Not Globally.
Now for some areas of concern…
WHY HAVE I BEEN BANNED FROM THE LEADERBOARDS?
If you are seeing a message stating YOU have been banned from the Leaderboards, you will need to Contact TinyCo for further support.
Banned Players usually mean activity/behavior was detected on your account that violates the Terms of Use. In order to preserve the experience for all players, they are banning players who violate their Terms of Use from the Leaderboards permanently.
As this is NOT something to discuss publicly, we as well as Support can’t comment on specific disciplinary actions against specific players, or actions taken to limit exploits.
If you feel you were banned in error, Contact TinyCo for further support. A TinyCo Rep will review your game.
Again, if you have ANY questions about a disciplinary action taken on your account… Contact TinyCo Support directly from your In Game Messaging.
We also ask that our Readers here please stick close to our Addicts Guidelines in regards to this. Allow TinyCo to address the concerns directly with the Player(s) impacted.

I just know I’m going to struggle to stay in the top 50k when the Mob Rep spread is so small between players. I stopped playing for a day and dropped from the 20ks to the 100ks. Not too fussed about adding a character skin (or even a new character) that’ll quickly become useless, but it’d be nice to come away from this event with a leaderboard prize that’s better than a decoration or building.

How can someone have 68,000 mob rep already? Also I don’t like the idea that we can’t get all the prizes in the ranks. I am a character/skin collector and try to get all the items I like in the game. They should have a way that everyone is able to choose what items/characters they want. That’s my opinion on the leaderboard.

My leaderboard is off too. I have 3400 and the 50,000 spot has 2900 but I’m still ranked in the 70,000’s ranks on my board haven’t updated since early yesterday morning. When I go in the game the counter always states 1439 left on the countdown. I’m on iPhone if that makes a difference

The refresh countdown timer definitely doesn’t work (I’m on Android)… Mine says 1439 also….every time I look. So I’m not sure what it is for? I’m done looking & playing according to the leaderboard anyway. The competition just makes me wanna spend more money on clams!

I have 3118 mob rep and #50,000 has 2800-ish mob rep. However, it’s showing my rank as 65,000-something.
I really want the zoot suit Stewie!

Look at the time the Global Ranks were last updated. If it was not recently… the only movement you will see on the Ranks is your stats until it is again.

I play this game day in & out but I still have only about 2000 hats. How is it possible that after only 5 days some people have over 30,000.. ??? Someone please tell me what I’m doing wrong ??

It is all in HOW you play. How many Characters you send to complete tasks. How many buildings you own. How many Safehouse raids you did. How many Casino raids you did. How many Cookie trucks you clear a day… on n on n on.

Is there going to be a way to lose mob rep or pick a prize from behind your rank? I am at the horsehead bed and dont really want it. Would rather drop back for the cat or the driveby car but would like to continue playing the event.

I’ll be honest- I don’t like the leaderboard. Mainly because it feels too much like a mix between MTV Cribs and a cash grab; I know there are at least a quarter million people playing, (and that is heavily conservative, and at BEST, 20% of them would get the Stewie outfit- 2 and a half percent would get the Don. Of course, if more people are playing, then those amount shrink… and only the whales, (not even paying players, but the ones who drop a helluvalot of cash on the game), and the cheaters (as noted above) can reach the two most wanted rewards- which, frankly, are what the house skins* are for: bragging rights.
If TinyCo could consider a way to expand the (somewhat) useful top prizes- either a larger number of them, or make it a percentage basis (with a minimum amount granted) that would work better, IMnsHO. (Heck, with the percentage, it does give players a greater incentive to get their friends playing…) Give more players, both frequent and non-whale paying ones, a realistic chance of getting the prizes.
* Presuming the skins don’t granted the house something crazy good- always dropping quest items or the like

My only objection to the whole Consuela issue is that she has no tasks to help out on this event. T-co used to reward premium players by giving past premium characters some minor drops in later events. Now that that’s no longer the case it destroys any long term value for the premium characters, so it’s off to storage for them along side all the other useless characters, decos, and buildings for which there is no purpose or no land..

The updates on the leaderboard are brutal. Not 30 minutes ago I was number 5,200 or so and now I’m at over 12,000! The other day was thinking I might be able to grab the bronze, perhaps silver griffen house, zoot suit stewie and the Don but now I feel I will be lucky to grab zoot suit stewie

I play daily and constantly like its crack besides being locked out of the games I have 1200 hats not even close to making it on the leaderboard for any good prizes 😦 I think the leaderboard idea is good, but like every new “idea” I think this one needed a Lil more thought into it lol…but so far a fun event even though I’ve only been able to log in for half the time

I don’t think it was anything even close to a good idea. They’ve turned the game from one where everybody can choose to get what they want (provided they commit the time or money) into a competitive game
where no matter how much people try, some people are BY DESIGN going to miss out on a character.
Knowing that I’m not going to get the Godfather character, so my collection will forever be incomplete – this has led me to not really bother with a lot of the event – I’m only just doing my first raid – and I no longer feel any desire to purchase premium characters such as Mike Tyson from them since I’ll always be missing characters anyway, so what difference does one more make?
Don’t even get me started on Consuela. It’s very well people saying “you paid to get her early, shoulda been patient” but afaik moving a premium character to free is totally unprecedented within this game, and people pay clams for premium characters with the understanding that this is the only way they’ll be able to obtain them. It is NOT like physical goods becoming cheaper over time.

First time poster, long time reader 🙂 I just couldn’t hold this back any longer. Sooooo tired of spamming tinyco in game about fedoras not being added to my total!! 😦 I know the crashing issues have been their main priority, I’m just wondering if there is any news of a fix for this anytime soon? I’m normally pretty patient as they do so much with a small team as it is, I’m just restless as I can’t be as competitive on the leader boards as I could be 😉 lol

So far this is the MAIN results (I see this too in my game)…
Some locations/ tasks will INSTANTLY add totals the moment you tap to complete it. So even though the “icon image” hasn’t collected from the game… the amount is already tallied.
Other locations you have to wait for the “icon image” to collect from the game for the amount to tally.
I’ve tested this in my game and it was happening both ways. Instant collects mixed with waiting to collect.
If there is still other issues outside that, report it to them so they can individually look at it player by player. Just keep in mind there’s a long waiting line right now… but they will take a look. 🙂

If it doesn’t follow my suggestions… yes… let them know so they can see if you are losing Mob Rep and why. May want to wait til tomorrow to just let it all “cool down” for the Crash. 😉
But please do report it if you don’t see either of them being the cause and you are legitimately losing Mob Rep.

It varies. Just watch for the Updates up top. The only one you’ll notice always changing is yours.

Don’t like the leaderboard. I was super excited at the thought of possibly getting the cat, the mansion, and stewies outfit. Now finding out we can only pick one is very disappointing.

If you paid for consuela that was by your choice. Why try to tell creators of the game how to do what they do. If you are lucky enough to receive her and didn’t pay for her good for you. I bought her earlier in the game so it doesn’t matter to me as I already have her because I made that choice.

I paid for Consuela when she was on for a sweetheart of a deal and I have NO objections to her being a prize for hard work. It’s like people who payed to get the first new technological gadget, they don’t whine and complain when a year down the road someone gets it for less.

I can’t understand why some people already 33k plus hats, and still on the game? There’s no way you could get that much if you’re not cheating!! Hate me or not for mentioning this, but I think it isn’t fair to all of us who have been playing meticulously and with honesty, and have anywhere from a thousand to five thousand hats, but 33,000??

Either that or they should’ve thought it through before. You can technically buy unlimited cookie factory thingies and collect absurd amounts without actually doing a single quest. Everything is for sale for that matter if someone’s willing to spent ridiculous amounts of money to speed up everything all the time. I don;t feel competitive at all even though I play regularly. It’s not about being the best player, or the best strategy or whatever, its just a money scheme imo. 😛

I wanted to start off letting you know if you haven’t found out that there’s a hidden information icon for each personal prize in the bottom right corner. The Gurley Scout Headquarters is a paying building, but I am unable to load my game for the details, but I know you’ll figure it out 😉
I’m so against the leaderboard idea, it is an unfair competition. If they’re going to do something like this, there should be two lists, one for premium buy in and one for freemium that way the player is choosing. Obviously those using clams will have a higher Mob Rep … last I checked the top player already had 11,000 which is impossible given the time frame so far for a freemium player to even come close, just imagine how much that rise in 30 days making it impossible for any freemium player to win the top prize.
Additionally, supplying Consuela for free when winning the prize is a big screw you in the face for those of us who paid real money for her, it should just be her costume unless Kingpin Consuela is a separate character, which I doubt.

In the corner where the information “i” usually is? We saw them. For Leaderboard it is in the Ranking area. For the Individual, in the Image area. I just still rather get them live in the game to verify as … you notice on Consuela… she has a payout listed too. So I don’t trust it til I see it with my own two eyes. 😉

Once you’ve “qualified” for an prize (ie., Zoot Suit Stewie), do you drop back down or can you only move up from there? It seems like you’re locked in bc it says “Qualified” and not “Currently” or the like.

That is only current as of last update, so yes… it can change up or down anytime during the event depending in how much you gain in Mob Rep and other players gained. It’ll constantly change.

Just thought i’d share a message I just sent to Tiny Co and think a few more of us need to send something similar in a polite way and be cheeky as I’m sure i’m not the only one this applies to and it’s a worth a try right?
I sent the message asking for those of us that have already paid out 300 clams I think it was for Consuela to receive them back if we win her and the outfit etc as others receive her free plus the outfit, it is brilliant for those who don’t have her but upsets me a little I paid that now knowing I could get her free in this….Overall though i’m enjoying this event alot more than the past 3! Well done Tiny Co and keep up the good work lovely ladies!

I didn’t pay 300 for her. I got her when they discounted her a while back. I still understand why you’re upset, and certainly won’t turn down any Clams that are refunded to me if/when I get Doña Consuela, but I look at it more as poor timing on my part than TinyCo “screwing” me. If I’d waited, I’d still have the Clams and would be getting her for free, just like the people who bought her before me would have gotten her for the discounted price if they’d waited until the time I bought her. Any time something like this happens, people immediately claim it’s “not fair”, but “fair” doesn’t really come into it. No one made you buy her when you did. Maybe if you *just* bought her right before the event, you might have an argument, and I’m sure TinyCo would be more likely (though still not obligated) to offer some kind of compensation in that case, but no one forces, say, Best Buy to refund the difference if the price drops in a week. That’s a policy that the seller gets to decide to enact, and many do. No one is going to refund you money if something drops in price 6 months or a year after you bought it, though. This is the same kind of thing.

What is not fair is that those who already have her only get a costume while those who don’t get both a character and a costume…all for the same amount of grinding….it seems if you already have the character you should get something else to even out the prize levels….

I’m completely confused by this.
I’ve had nothing but trouble running this event.
Sometimes it loads…but most of the time, it doesn’t.
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the game.
I’ve uninstalled all updates to all apps on this device.
I’ve put into inventory every decoration and almost every building associated with events.
I’ve uninstalled every other app I ever put on this tablet.
The loading issue continues..
On the off-chance it does run, I’ve had it crash going to Consuela’s and sending Fatfather on a quest task.
Now… I get told that I don’t qualify for the leader board because I have violated the terms of use…or some such nonsense.
I have never modded this app…and I have spent a LOT of real cash on a lot of clams over the past 6 months. In fact I had bought 3600 the morning the loading issue started for this event.
I don’t get it. This game, instead of being fun, has turned into an endurance test. Most of the time,I can’t get it to run…and now, to add insult to injury, I don’t qualify for the leader board…and the additional things that can be won there too.
If it weren’t for the clams I bought…I think I would just uninstall it…and leave it uninstalled.

currently in the 4,700 by the end of the event i just want to be in the top 10,000 could care less about the house skins , also im assuming that if you get prize #4 you might get the prizes under that ? maybe? i hope i want some of that stuff too

No. As this post says, you only get ONE Global prize. That way there are a Million options, so many can get at least one item. YOUR Individual Prizes will be up to you to get all 10
