Great news for all of those who have been waiting for a resolution from TinyCo on the ongoing Crash Issue that has been plaguing players for a few days.
A FIX IS COMING!!!
This is via the Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff Facebook Page. 
Many of you are also getting the emails they are trying to quickly get out to Players stating similar. So keep an eye on your App Markets for these changes to hit. We will try to Update as we see them too, but feel free to share with other Players as well when and how it impacts your game.
UPDATE: The Patch is LIVE in Android, that means it is there… so just give it time to propagate and actually show up to upgrade into your devices. Hopefully within the next hour or so. Hang in there… it’ll be there soon. Just keep checking back now and then. Look for Version 1.9.1 on Android.

As of right now, no. Let’s see where everyone is towards the end of the event before we start running after TinyCo with pitchforks for an extension. For now, just play and have fun and see where you are in a few weeks 🙂

I still am unable to play today! I gave Bunny the details and screen shots and past them on myself as well, no word on their FB page and others seem to be having trouble still just getting in the game!

Sorry. I passed on to them what you were seeing, so its in their hands now. Don’t know how long it will take for them to find the trigger for the issue and resolve it. Some tech issues are easy patch… others… not so much. 😦

Mike Tyson? So badass (is that PC enough?) I HAD to get him! I decided to splash out but I kept getting a “Purchase timed out” error when trying to buy the 275 clan package. When it went through eventually (I think it was my 6th attempt) I got another “sorry, an error occurred” message where it asks for the Google login and password. A little more perseverance and I was able to go ahead but it seems there still are issues with the servers…

Downloaded and installed the update. Game still crashes when i try and do the pinata obstacle (part 1 of the warehouse run 3) So ya still can’t progress in the event. Small improvement as the game does load and i was able to get to Ollieland without crashing. However since i am effectively blocked from progressing in the event.
Can’t finish the warehouse, can’t unlock Diabeto, can’t continue with the other quest lines and can’t upgrade the mansion to unlock the week 2 content it does little to help me with the event. I have messaged tinyco to let them know, but not holding out much hope for catching up with the event as it has been days where all i can do is rob cookie trucks and the limited actions from characters to gain mob rep and cookies. Too bad as i was really enjoying the event before everything went sideways.

Ok. I got the new update this afternoon. I installed it. I have been playing on the update for a few hours now. My game just crashed, AND all the Thugs I bought with cookies reset, IN THE DONS CLUB. (is this new?) Also, all the characters I sent on tasks a few minutes before, WERE NOT on tasks anymore, just walking around again. spooky… 🙂

Sounds like you’ve got a memory issue too if your progress is not saving. May wanna troubleshoot that.

Memory as in town may be getting a bit too crowded. You tried storing items in Inventory and those tricks to see if it helped with game save progress?

Yup. You gave me that advice a few months ago. Since then I DO NOT carry ANY animated decos that are not playable characters. AND, the only buildings I use are the ones that payout. I do not keep ANY other decos on the board. Nothing, no trees, bushes, ships…nothing. My town consists of payout property only.

I did understand it, well translated it anyway… for some reason the response did not post. They are getting a Can’t Connect to Server Error.
Please try some Basic Troubleshooting to see if it helps.
If you are on iOS or Amazon, also watch for an upcoming patch to the game. If you are on Android, make sure you have the patch in your game.

Bunny, how likely is it (based on all of your experience) that they will give those of us who missed out for 3-4 days of collecting some kind of compensation? I have dropped them a note asking exactly that, but I am concerned. Surely they would not punish us for something that was not even our fault. Any chance you could put in a good word for us about this? Thanks a bunch!

That’s all up to them. Star Trek they extended it a week. It’s really up to them to decide WHAT works. All I can suggest is reach out to them. Give them your thoughts and ideas. Don’t just say “fix it” … tell them how to fix it and why you feel it would be beneficial. Etc.

With the crashing issue, Tinyco probably won’t have been policing the boards, but when all the issues from that have been addressed I can foresee suspect players disappearing from the rankings pretty sharpish.

Yeah, but it is a little suspect that the top “leaders” are reaping the benefits of this “crash”. As if they, and them ONLY, are not seeing any affects of this disaster they call an event. You guys are doing great as usual, Bunny. Eat your Wheaties, you’ll need them. 🙂

Many people are not having crashing issues, so the #1 person with obviously a huge entertainment budget (well, anything is huge compared to my budget of $0 per week) might legitimately not be having any such trouble. Do the math and you’ll see that a big clam spender could indeed get those numbers by speeding up everything and buying loads of cookie/fedora generating machines.
I’m not crashing myself, although I’m not upgrading the mansion until I hear that associated problems have been resolved. I’ll just take down Consuela’s lemon pledge empire again in the meantime… 🙂 I just love that she’s a kingpin in this event. Always knew there was more to her than it seemed.

I can’t see simply an extension working this time. With the Star Trek event it was simply a race against time to unlock and collect everything you wanted, and once you’d acheived all you wanted you could stop playing; however, as no-one will want to lose their ranking in this event, everyone will continue to play to the bitter end, so those handicapped by the crash still won’t be able to recover. I’d like to see a blanket gift of say, 5,000 fedoras and/or cookies given to all those affected to even things up a bit on top of extra time.

Yes of course. I did just that. And I did not ask for any extension, as that would not benefit me at all on the leaderboard, as I would still be 3-4 days behind the competetion. What I specifically asked them for was a fedora/cookie compensation in the amount equivalent to what I would have gathered the amount of days I was locked out. Considering I spent a good deal of actual money on cookie machines and other buildings to help build up initially, I could have already had another 200-250 fedoras in that time. I will see what they do. Thanks so much for all of your efforts in keeping up to date on the crash issues/patch. Since downloading the patch, I’ve not had any problems at all! Feels like I can breathe again 🙂

Games are meant to be fun and enjoyable – this is not the case for the recent versions of FGTQFS.

What the deuce….! Oh Tinyco, you switch the “must update switch” on iOS BEFORE the update went live in the app store? Now the game no longer loads – it just brings you to the app store with no new update!

I managed to get the update and I downloaded it, and went play and it still won’t work,I’ve restarted my device nothing, I’ve un installed it and shut it down the reinstalled it and nothing 😭

I updated and noticed I need 4 Dog Food now when going through the warehouse a second time. Was it like this before? If so, this sucks for the fact only Mort can get Dog Food. It was already bad enough at 3.
Everybody needs to bombard TinyCo with messages to add more options to get Dog Food, because only having one character for a task is unacceptable. Something like this should never be allowed. Everybody demand Brain, Bitch Brian, Vinny, Pet Store and Perlman’s Pets to be able to drop Dog Food.
UPDATE: TinyCo added Goldman’s Pharmacy, but that’s still not enough.

Update hit and got back in after 4 days… Has tinyco said anything about how they plan to help those of us affected by the issue catch up on the leaderboard, or is it just tough luck? I’m at 75000 when normally I’m a 2 hr player… I lost half of the week to this issue. Don’t get me wrong, I’m thrilled that we have the patch, but feel that I’ve gotten pushed back to where I can’t compete. Perhaps tinyco could have a sub leaderboard for those affected by the crash so we compete with each other who have all been similarly affected?

I’ve played through Consuela’s warehouse twice in the last 24 hours and both times it was only the first level 100 Mob Rep. Not sure why. I’ve gone up through all 5 levels once before.

As for the Goon fix… Just cleared the Warehouse and it’s still a little glitchy at the end. It didn’t steal my Goons this time, but tapping the Lemon Pledge crate shut down the game. I reloaded and was able to finish though…

Yup did that reinstalled… it loaded up lvl 1.. linked my Google account back up (lvl 38)… game reloaded then crashed exactly at same point before new patch with same error message

Same here, I had been using Amazon but I deleted it out of the device and cloud and loaded the out of Google play, Still getting the Load Error that I was getting before Consuela with a Message same as before:
“id starTrek_klingonTemp in Buildings”
I have an off brand Tablet but have a lot of free space, 4gb at least!

Try a wipe one more time to see if it kicks it in. Uninstall/resinstall, then log in and load to see if it works. It did for ones so far that had an odd error show up after the patch.

OK but this is the same message I have gotten from the start and I think I commented before that in the start up Chris doesn’t fix the TV antenna anymore, it’s past that point this had Bonnie showing and locked at her house! I’m worried all the uninstall reinstall I screwed something up!

In the meantime, uninstall/reinstall will NOT impact your game as long as you have it saved to an email or facebook. I clear out my devices monthly just to clean out garbage and keep the most up to date files in there. Its just a few taps to get to the menu (past the antenna) to access the menu again and log into the saved game then LOAD the file with where you were. (option to link the level 1 will show too, but you dont want that).

Ok, I just got the update and the game still crashed when trying to clear the forklift obstacle, the only difference is that now it seems like we will not lose the goons, but the game is still buggy TinyCo.

Still watch for basic gaming issues that can be caused by low memory or connections. There is a LOT active in the game, so those will still apply. But also keep report anything out of ordinary to them.

I am on a S4 too. Try this…. restart it. Sometimes you have to restart the device to show changes in Google Play. See if that helps. Also double check you are not on Auto Update and it’s already loading for you or loaded.

Here is the good thing (I have been playing this game since it launched) and TinyCo always compensates us for event screw ups. Eventually. We whine and complain but we always get tons of free stuff. Way more than other games give us. So let’s try and take a deep breath and have fun!!!

Would love to migrate to my ipad, but have been getting this for nearly a year with no fix or suggestion from tinyco. Just lots of auto responses back and forth. It’s already an hour past the timer ending and still no signs of new stuff. It’d be otherwise fine, but I’m really tired and gotta wake up early tomorrow, so sitting here, up late at night, waiting for the update isn’t really in my best favor.

Ignore the timer. TinyCo has managed meet their own expectations like 1 time out of 20. They really need to take the timer seriously or get rid of it (or be far less specific).

Its funny because my game seems to have fixed itself. Anyone else hoping we get Scarface? The leaderboard is a joke. It gives you false hope you’re actually climbing the boars when you’re not. I’m just in the top 10,000 now but not a whole 41 minutes ago i was about 7000.

Global is not updated as often as it takes a while to compile all those players. My best suggestion is watch for when the latest update was, if its been a while… wait. If it was recent… then you can get a better idea of where you stand.

Hotfix 1.9.1 is live on Android! If you are experiencing crashes on load, please update to the latest version and try logging in.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you play on multiple devices, you will ONLY be able to play on Android devices after updating to 1.9.1. Once the latest version releases on iOS and Amazon as well, you will be able to play across all devices as normal.
We expect Hotfix 1.9.1 to release on iOS and Amazon in the next several days, pending review by each app store.
Just saw this what does it mean?! Is it available or not?? I have android but use Amazon to download and its not there or in google play store, is there another place to get the patch??

It means the patch is ONLY live right now for Android (don’t see it on my device yet, but restarting to see if it will trigger)
It also means you can’t play MULTIPLE devices on different Versions of the App. So you will NOT be able to play the updated Android Game on an iOS or Amazon Device until iOS and Amazon update to the same patch too.

Only if you have your Family Guy App set to “Auto Update” in your app market. Otherwise it is just a matter of going into Google Play, tapping on the App to go into it’s info, and selecting “Upgrade”. 🙂

Ive noticed that the fedoras from my character tasks are not being added to my total, when i can log in, is this a known issue also?

This is what I have found on that (as well as reports back from TinyCo on those that wrote in).
The Mob Rep collects in two ways.
1: The INSTANT you tap on the item to clear it, the totals go right to the Mob Rep. This is even BEFORE those lil icon images collect from your game. BAM! it’s there.
2: After you tap on an item to clear it, the icon image is collect and THEN the total is added to the game. So you visually see the amount “floating” across the screen and into the counter.
#1 is the main one causing Players to “Visually” think it is not adding, even though it is.
I personally see both option #1 & #2 in my game. Tested it out many times. Both do happen, but either way I am getting the Mob Rep.
Now there WAS some issues in the warehouse that created the totals to not be accurate, but that was an alternate issue that since has been patched. So if you watch your game and it is NOT #1 or #2, then please report it to them from your game so they can look into it individually.

As the owner of a Kindle Fire HDX who has been unable to load the game for the past few days, I hope TinyCo saying it could take “several days” for approval is their way of under-promising and over-delivering.

As the owner of 2 Kindle Fire HDs and having dealt with app store updates from them before, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was several days. Some events/updates we’ve gotten 24 hours or more after the other markets have gotten them. Amazon is terrible about updates.
