As usual, we will have the complete rundown once we all go through all the details Live in the game to verify all the ins n outs.

- Make sure you have gone to YOUR App Market and downloaded the latest 1.11.5 Update to your Device (hit iOS at 8:10PM EST…
Google Play still waiting… ) - Looks like you also need to complete Never Gonna Catch Me Pt.5 too in order to move forward.
- Actually play the New Questline into a few parts to see all the New content. It all won’t unlock the second it is released. The Questline brings more.

Spoke to TinyCo on the Google Play delay, Google Play does have it… it just needs to propagate (they need to release to all customers fully)… so hang in there. Google Play Update just hit my device at 1130PM EST. Had to restart my device to see it, but it is there now. Check your device too.

SPOONER STAGE
The Spooner Stage is now open and ready for some Sideshows. Similar to the Concert Stage, there will be requirements but you will have a few options to swipe through. From the looks of this, it will be a good source for MORE Glowsticks.
Your Prizes awarded will depend on the Sideshow you end up choosing. You will need Microphones to be able to Perform a Sideshow. The amount needed will vary by the Sideshow you pick.
Microphones: Headliner Mystery Box OR Tricia Takagaga OR Defeat Mecha Astley
There will also be an option to pick Characters to Perform the Sideshows. The more you pick, the higher chance of getting Rewards. Characters that are currently being used to perform Sideshows will be unusable for the duration of that performance. There will be a Clam Speed option if you really want to use it, otherwise just let it play out.
If you win a Prize from the Spooner Stage, check the Inventory first. Like the Barbershop Quartet or “Let You Down” Hot Air Balloons.

The New NPC to clear are the Silver Robots and Gold Robots. These will need to be cleared by the Mechanics. The Robots will start appearing AFTER Attack of the Mecha Astley Pt. 1
Silver Robots: Require 3 Mechanics to Clear
Each time you defeat Mecha Astley, some Gold Robots will appear.
Gold Robots: Require 1 Mechanic to Clear
MECHA ASTLEY
FYI… I noticed a timer issue on his cool down… it stopped timing out. I did report. Please do as well if he doesn’t come out of cool down in 4hrs like he should.
UPDATE 9/4 1130AM EST: TinyCo reported back still working on timer issue. If you leave your game open 4hrs it’ll time down. Just stops when you go out of the game. Hopefully fixed soon as I’m at a standstill on it.
UPDATE 9/4 940PM EST: Per TinyCo…
The timer issue should be fixed now! Players will need to make sure that their game is completely closed for the timer to continue counting down. However, if the game is running in the background then their timers may remain stuck.
I did check it out in my game and so far it is working fine. Timing down as should been. If you are not sure if your game is completely closed, try a Force Close on your device.
Mecha Astley will appear AFTER Attack of the Mecha Astley Pt 1
As in previous Event “Boss Battles”, you will need to send Characters to “defeat” him. Each Character will offer a different damage amount to him. You can tap on him and press the “Attack” button to see who is available to attack him.
First Incarnation of Mecha Astley: 2 Hearts
1X: Spawns 3 Gold Robots, Earns 20 Glowsticks & 2 Microphones
Cool Down Time: 4hrs

Rockstar Peter: 4hrs, 1 Damage

Also same as previous “Boss Battles”, you want to completely Defeat him within 24hrs to keep a “streak” going. If you do not, and the 24hr timer runs out… you will lose your streak and start back at the first round.
If the 24 hour timer runs out before you defeat Mecha Astley, you will lose your streak. Keep defeating him to earn more rewards!
Once you Defeat him, Gold Robots will appear. Clear these to earn items you need to unlock other Characters. Like the Tubs of Grease you will need for Greased Up Deaf Guy

I also have a problem with the timer for mecha Astley it only counts down while actually playing,I let tiny co know but still the same at the moment,I defeated him 7 hrs ago and the timer still has has 3 hrs left to go.

There’s a “true catch 22”. I need lighters for DJ Herbert but the only freemium to get them is to hold concerts, but I can’t hold any concerts before I unlock DJ Herbert. Now I have to wait three days or more to get lucky from Greased up Deaf guy. My mistake? I unlocked the DJ booth before DJ Herbert. 😦

well i’m kinda sad that i think i won’t be able to get this phase as am way behind to get all the LP’s to get for DJ Herbert 4/12 and missing 1 ticket , and after that i’ve got to get the DJ booth that i think too it’s way to expensive.. 2000 glowsticks, they shouldn’t force us to complete or to be at a specific quest in order to get to the next phase

Bunny, great work as always. Looked through the comments and don’t think this has been asked since the new phase launched: am I missing a way to see how many guitar picks and tickets (among other things) I have collected thus far? Where these items are requested with the new content, they are greyed out telling me I have enough for that item but I don’t know if I have enough for something else once I spend them there. I want to maximize what I have collected to this point and get those items from the merchandise tent that will be most helpful since I will need all of them eventually. Is there a counter some place within the new content that I have missed? Tricia is a direct clam buy so Al’s isn’t an option this round. Thanks!

Nope. Covered this in several other posts. No counter for lighters, tickets, or picks unless you have someone needing them in Al’s…. otherwise you just don’t know.

I’m having the same issue with the Mecha Astley it counting down while I’m in the game. I’ve reported it.
The tubs of grease needed for GUDG are listed as common drops however I have cleared a silver and a gold robot and only received glow sticks each time. Doesn’t seem very common considering we need 70 and there are only 3 ways to get wrenches and they all take a fair amount of time to get plus the training time. I reported this as well. Anyone else having the same issue?

I’m also having the same issue.
The wrenches are way too difficult to obtain and the requirement for 3 mechanics is too much that could make the game unstable.
I hope they could make more event characters drop those common items as it is not always.

Well I think I won’t buy anything that isn’t needed at the moment, to save glowsticks. I’m back at college(UK) on Monday and I’m worried about what I’m going to miss.
I don’t like how much there seems to be to do at the moment. Maybe it won’t be that bad, but things are stepping up on here and Tapped Out and I don’t think I’ll manage to do it all.

The records are terrible. It’s so deflating to spend the 4 hours earning items, then 3 hours waiting for 3 park rangers, and then to clear the gold bear and get a coin!?!? So frustrating.

That’s tricky as it varies on how YOU play and get each item. How your drops work. What you win where. Not a simple task at all. Not to mention at times I blaze through it so fast, I don’t have time to stop and count each clam too. Way too many variables per player.

That and I test and test and test items… so I may use more one spot and less another. Best I can offer you is major events cost me anywhere from 15,000 to 30,000 Clams.

I’ve been playing this game the month it came out and I have spent money and time playing, so for the first time I wanted to play an event all free, it was going fine till this week which is basically not possible for any person that doesn’t spend clams and there is nothing anyone can say to justify it. I just want to play a fair game that allows all my charcater to be used for something but all I get it more time long time wasting tasks with little profit. Tiny Co you are about to lose a lot of people soon if you don’t change the way this game works cause as a veteran player and clams I’ve spent, I shouldn’t struggle to complete anything in this game if I want to play for free.

Take a closer look at all the options. You don’t need everything right away. Just play it as you can. The Sideshows and Mecha Astley offer a lot of options and are fairly easy to get items from. 😉

AGREED – I tried to complete the last event without clams – was not possible. I am loosing interest in the game as events have become confusing and complicated. I stayed back in Phase 3 to collect tickets only to find out once I moved on to phase 4 that the tickets I had collected didn’t carry forward.

Do you mean the mobster event? I didn’t do everything but did get the leaderboard prize Don Corleone holding his cat, Zoot Suit Stewie, and the Don’s tiny mansion, and all the individual prizes including King Pin Consuela and her house. Didn’t get mob wife Bonnie (did get Lois and Peter) or Tricia, decided to spend my cookies on decos that boosted fedoras as a happy side effect. I didn’t bother trying to get through the very last safehouse, wasn’t interested in the final prize for it even if I had the time (which I didn’t, had started a few days late). Got enough chances at the Don with goons the last day or so to give me enough fedoras to get what I really wanted in the end (the cat held by the Don…). If I had more time, would have racked up enough cookies defeating the Don to get Tricia but c’est la vie.
Didn’t spend clams on anything but Mr. Miyagi at the very end, so I didn’t use the new goon he triggered except maybe once. Didn’t use clams to speed up anything or buy anything else, I only have earned clams.
When you play freemium, you just have to accept that you can’t do everything. But there is certainly a lot else to do. I started playing toward the end of the Star Trek event and still had a good time even though I didn’t get very far. I’m still in phase 4 of this event now and not likely I’ll move on until Sunday at the earliest. So I’ll be limited on what I can do in the final phase as well. Hope I at least get to start it.

sorry but this will prob be it for me having ANY chance at all to get these characters with all those glowsticks that are needed for them! i cant think of ANY way at all to build u enough glowsticks so im totally screwed on successfully completing this event! 😤😥😓😁

The biggest glowstick boost for me has been to put my glowsticks into buildings that pay out as soon as possible. May not help south this late in the game, but those early purchases do pay off pretty well. I also send people on tasks that generate the most glowsticks per hour and reset them frequently. I still have to make decisions about how best to spend them – for instance, I decided not to do encores in phase 3 (and won’t in Phase 4, where I still am) because I didn’t want to spend glowsticks on the junky decos required. I buy paying buildings early but decos wait until the end unless needed for a questline. I figure I’m collecting at least 800-900 glowsticks per day now from buildings and tasks. I probably still won’t be able to do much since some things are going to deplete my stash quickly. You just have to pick and choose what you really want and what can be left behind.

Just noticed and random unfairness that tinyco have put in the game……..new Brian in one of the three characters able to perform the pop show in the spooner stage….for the people who haven’t even reached that district….or like me he was the third character I got out of the ghost portal which happened during this event which I am waiting for the flutes to unlock….only two tasks to collect one which is Peter and dr hart,man both who are used to collect honeypots and Pete who who always need free…and they are the infamous RARE drop that tinyco is famous for….maybe they will see this and change it..?but probably not

It is just an extra Character to use. I ran it with ONLY Peter and ONLY Meg… guess what… got the Main Prizes in BOTH Concerts AND lots more Glowsticks AND 6 of Rick’s Jackets now. I wouldn’t stress on it. Just try it and see what you can do. Just because it is an option doesn’t mean you can’t still use what you do have access to. Just keep going. 😉

As long as you have the 1.11.5 Update and have completed Deadmau5 in the Hau5 Pt 7 from Phase 4 completely (DJ Herbert Concert) it should start. Have you performed the DJ Herbert Concert? Did you finish Never Gonna Catch Me pt 5?

Did you build Give You Up building from kiosk, so it it can spawn a wrench to hire a Mechanic? You need to do that to finish Part 1 of MechaAshley quest line to unlock it.

The Spooner Stage doesn’t “require” New Brian. He’s just one of 3 available characters you can use to perform a Pop concert. You can still perform a concert with just Meg and/or Rick

Was really hoping for weird al. I leave for vacation on the 14th for nearly two weeks in Sweden & Finland. no guarantee for wifi nor will I want to be checking this game regularly. I started this phase on time but have been and will be working 50+ hours a week until then. Already losing 3 days to get weird al and if I can’t stay caught up I’m screwed

I am doing the Brian peanut butter jelly time dance 😂😂 I felt like a kid at a candy shop. I purchased all the items and gave glow sticks to Rick. Unfortunately now I only like 100 glow sticks and that Filipino character is 10k. Let’s hope I get him by the end of this event. Crossing my fingers.

Man I can see this is going to be just like the 20000 cookies for Trisha….yes it just started bu at 5x 20 the most you can get for beating Ashtley is 100 glow sticks and the spooner stage has an option for 90 as the max…..I no your answer will be just wait and we will see but it just seems to follow the same patternes that event currency is way to hard to come by in these enounmous amounts….4990 for Rick and 10000 for Ricardo not including th buildings needed for both….frustrating to know how it will end up

You are not looking at it the correct way. Payouts don’t work like that… they go up and up and up. That base amount changes, not 20×1 20×2 etc. That base can change to 50, than 100, than 1000, etc. I will let you know them all once I get through them. I got to wait the 4hr cooldowns each time

Can you please do a poll asking people how close they are to unlocking DJHerbert?
I still need 13 tickets!! and 5 records!!
I am a premium player but I will not use clams to unlock him, and I cant move onto the next week until i do, “Deadmau5 in da hou5es part 7 is crazy hard, too hard in my opinion and I am sure that there are a ton of players being held up by this task.

I need four more LPs for pervy DJ Herbert. If you’re short on tickets, you need to spend some time on those brown bears to get more. Greasy runner guy does give off tickets once a day, but the brown bears are your best bet if you need ten. It’s hard when you need to get two items from the same basic source (picnic baskets, which I can get only at a rate of 3 every 4 hours at best, then an hour each for training a ranger). But keep at it. Too bad the Bears can’t be bribed with honey pots, I have over 90 of those…

Bunny, have you noticed the cool down period for Mech-Astley resetting itself? I can back a couple hours later after defeating him and he was still at 3 1/2 hours.

These numbers for unlocking things with Glow Sticks is getting ridiculous!!! I don’t see how to get 10,000 for Richardo within a week.

I wrecklessly spent about 500 clams on the 59 clam mystery box, brought Tricia and sped up a two things. Luckily I got 495 clams left compared to the 1,000 I had before, but now I feel like a dolt. Oh well ;;w;;

I wonder if Tinyco is shooting themselves in the foot with having characters and costumes in the kiosk. Carl, Meg, Brian and now Ricardo can be purchased with clams but the cost doesn’t go down as materials are collected like other characters. With Ricardo having a clam cost of 600 clams, I’m the type of player that doesn’t mind spending 25-80 clams to rush a character once those last items drag on forever. No way I would spend 600 on him though.

My friend will love that we are getting deaf greased up guy finally. I just hope he is not too far behind to get him. I am waiting on dj to get finish his task so he can do his concert. I decided to see what was waiting for me in the next few days.

15,000 (+) glowsticks to get the 2 new characters and the corresponding buildings alone… Oi Vey… I hope I find a way to do this. The past 2 weeks it has been difficult just to get 5-6,000. (Fingers crossed…)

Yes I have updated to version 1.1.5, I even deleted and re download the app! I am only sometimes getting the new mystery box popping up then when I look for it in the store it’s gone, did I do anything wrong?

I am not sure. It is very odd. If you met all the requirement, you should be seeing Peter with the ! to start the questline.

Argggg! I’ve been waiting on Gold Honey Bears all freakin day! I went to bed around 10pm last night, and since then I’ve had 2 in my town. One when I got up around 6am, and one more a few hours ago. I need *one* more LP for Herbert’s costume, so I can make some small progress toward’s seeing this week’s content. At least they started dropping LPs again, I spent yesterday just getting coins from the few I saw.
Oh, and I stupidly bought a headliner Mystery Box to get 350 glow sticks. *sigh* I hoped the game would have pity on me.
On a side note, Finn and Chip are still so danged adorable!

Not trying to get ahead of myself here, but I am curious if like the Bertram Battles is there something we should hold back on to keep from starting the new phase battles if we only have Peter to battle with?! I realize you may not know but that was my 1st Boss Battle and your tips were VERY helpful!
I am close to an Encore in Phase 4 and am going to try to squeeze that in.

Not a stupid question. Nothing I see so far. Everyone I have seen since I started into it is all the same… available to the 17th. I will put a big bold alert up if I run into anything.
Only “timed” thing right now in a sense is the Mecha Astley battles.

with Astley being the freemium character, guessing Weird Al will finally make his appearance and he’ll be the premium one since thats the pattern they’ve been using….one is free, the other is not. of course im behind so i have to wait for all this stuff. lol

Sadly as always these days those requirements are made to be unachievable freemium eh. Wonderful. This game used to be so good. And after the backlash to star trek I expected them to fix it, but its the same, a few weeks of easybstuff to look good then stuff you can’t manage in a week with godly drop rates. Hopefully I’ll get rick before the end but I doubt I’ll manage to get deaf guy like I wanted. Let alone whoever’s in phase six.

4900 glowsticks? I can’t imagine getting near that number. Every time I’ve gotten close to 4000 – the Hostel, which I still don’t have – I end up having to spend them elsewhere, like the DJ booth or Herbert (can’t remember if he needed glowsticks). Maybe I’m just doing something wrong 😕 but I have just under 2000. Going to take me forever to get another 3000 for him. Not to mention another 1000 for the therapy centre. I’m not trying to complain, but maybe someone can point me in a direction that will make this attainable.

In order to get the microphones for the spooner stage, we have to defeat the Astley robot. Will he appear before we unlock Rick Astley, or does he have to be unlocked first? Because I could really use the extra glow sticks from the stage for the real Rick.

Does that mean he won’t be running into our town giving out lighters and tickets for us to tap? I got a lighter from him with this update before I placed his tub.

Closest I’ve been was when I went to 4000 for the Hostel which I’m sorry I got since I only bought it to have a second boot task which I never used because thanks to the mini update that upped the drop rate and added two more ways to get the boots I ended up getting Alice before I finished unlocking Belgard. I’m really looking forward to Weird Al hopefully next week.

I have android, and it has not updated, nor is the update available in my market on either of my devices. Did have something strange happen, where the head-liner mystery box was a pop up, but then disappeared.
