As usual, we will have the complete rundown once we all go through all the details Live in the game to verify all the ins n outs.

- Make sure you have gone to YOUR App Market and downloaded the latest 1.11.5 Update to your Device (hit iOS at 8:10PM EST…

- Actually play the New Questline into a few parts to see all the New content. It all won’t unlock the second it is released. The Questline brings more.

Spoke to TinyCo on the Google Play delay, Google Play does have it… it just needs to propagate (they need to release to all customers fully)… so hang in there. Google Play Update just hit my device at 1130PM EST. Had to restart my device to see it, but it is there now. Check your device too.

SPOONER STAGE
The Spooner Stage is now open and ready for some Sideshows. Similar to the Concert Stage, there will be requirements but you will have a few options to swipe through. From the looks of this, it will be a good source for MORE Glowsticks.
Your Prizes awarded will depend on the Sideshow you end up choosing. You will need Microphones to be able to Perform a Sideshow. The amount needed will vary by the Sideshow you pick.
Microphones: Headliner Mystery Box OR Tricia Takagaga OR Defeat Mecha Astley
There will also be an option to pick Characters to Perform the Sideshows. The more you pick, the higher chance of getting Rewards. Characters that are currently being used to perform Sideshows will be unusable for the duration of that performance. There will be a Clam Speed option if you really want to use it, otherwise just let it play out.
If you win a Prize from the Spooner Stage, check the Inventory first. Like the Barbershop Quartet or “Let You Down” Hot Air Balloons.

The New NPC to clear are the Silver Robots and Gold Robots. These will need to be cleared by the Mechanics. The Robots will start appearing AFTER Attack of the Mecha Astley Pt. 1
Silver Robots: Require 3 Mechanics to Clear
Each time you defeat Mecha Astley, some Gold Robots will appear.
Gold Robots: Require 1 Mechanic to Clear
MECHA ASTLEY
FYI… I noticed a timer issue on his cool down… it stopped timing out. I did report. Please do as well if he doesn’t come out of cool down in 4hrs like he should.
UPDATE 9/4 1130AM EST: TinyCo reported back still working on timer issue. If you leave your game open 4hrs it’ll time down. Just stops when you go out of the game. Hopefully fixed soon as I’m at a standstill on it.
UPDATE 9/4 940PM EST: Per TinyCo…
The timer issue should be fixed now! Players will need to make sure that their game is completely closed for the timer to continue counting down. However, if the game is running in the background then their timers may remain stuck.
I did check it out in my game and so far it is working fine. Timing down as should been. If you are not sure if your game is completely closed, try a Force Close on your device.
Mecha Astley will appear AFTER Attack of the Mecha Astley Pt 1
As in previous Event “Boss Battles”, you will need to send Characters to “defeat” him. Each Character will offer a different damage amount to him. You can tap on him and press the “Attack” button to see who is available to attack him.
First Incarnation of Mecha Astley: 2 Hearts
1X: Spawns 3 Gold Robots, Earns 20 Glowsticks & 2 Microphones
Cool Down Time: 4hrs
Characters
Rockstar Peter: 4hrs, 1 Damage
Rick Astley: 1 Damage
Tricia Takagaga: 2 Damage
Also same as previous “Boss Battles”, you want to completely Defeat him within 24hrs to keep a “streak” going. If you do not, and the 24hr timer runs out… you will lose your streak and start back at the first round.
If the 24 hour timer runs out before you defeat Mecha Astley, you will lose your streak. Keep defeating him to earn more rewards!
Once you Defeat him, Gold Robots will appear. Clear these to earn items you need to unlock other Characters. Like the Tubs of Grease you will need for Greased Up Deaf Guy

I know this isn’t related to the post but I didn’t know where else to ask my question. As you are having a well deserved break I’m hoping u or anyone reading this can still help. So, Does anyone know the tasks you have to do for weekly challenge. I can’t see it on Addicts site but I need to know what we have to do in under 24hrs to get prize 2 as I barely got prize 1, I just dislocated my wrist so can’t play too much (such bad timing) & this update has got my head spinning there’s so much. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with a spinning head – trouble is my friends are on the verge of calling in an exorcist saying heads don’t turn 360degs. Whilst that’s true, until I start projectile vomiting over them I think they’re safe lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Normally I would just tap the task to start & hope for the best. Knowing I can only play a minimum amount instead of my usual checking and playing for hours, it could make getting it harder without a heads up lol. Thanks guys & Bunny. Please help. I don’t want to scare my friends anymore lol

There is no way to know what each weekly challenge has until it triggers… which is ONLY one a week. So until it is released… no one can offer that information. You just have to wait and see when it drops and we will put up a post on it. 😉

This update has got my head swimming. As always, same characters needed to get items, do quest lines, concerts, defeat Mech Astley etc. these events would be so much better if we weren’t having to juggle characters so much. To get spanners is not easy at all. There should be more characters who aren’t currently being used in game with spanner & microphone tasks, not just 1, especially as we need 70 tubs of grease & they drop about 1 in 3 times for me. Now I have Riccardo he has helped with deaf guy. We need characters that aren’t used much to be the ones defeating Mecha Astley & we should be able to get @ least 5 hits a go, not 4 (if you have Tricia skin & Ricky). The concert tasks are long too – 1day for Herbert. That’s a little excessive I think. If we had more characters involved, this would be a great update. Mind you, now I have to defeat Mecha 16 hits I’m guessing I will need to keep them all on it and check every 4hrs to be sure. I dread to think what the next one will be once he regenerates in 1hr 24mins. Sorry if this seems like a rant – it really isn’t. I was hoping Bunny could hop over to TinyCo and offer my suggestions to them. I mean, how can they resist an adorable little Bunny lol. Loving content of update, just wishing I didn’t have to send Tricia on Mecha as I’m losing some serious time getting microphones. Plenty to do that’s for sure but I’m out of space again. More bldgs & decos than any other event. Other than to get more microphones from defeating Mecha Astley, is there any point in keeping up streak? Do we get something for getting to full streak & past it, or is it worth letting it run down to do other tasks & side concerts? Keep up the good work.

I asked Tiny Co. from my game about GUDG, since I haven’t seen him since I placed his tub. They just got back to me and told me once you place his tub and are working to unlock him, he WON’T be making any more appearances in your town.

I’m in phase 4, but the greasy runner is showing up more frequently now, maybe at least three times a day or even four. Previously it was once a day.

Bunny, I deleted all, photos, videos, documents and music. Didn’t help. So uninstalled the game and reinstalled. I was able to play . While I was playing I stored a lot of animated decorations and characters hoping this will keep me in the game. Thank you for taking the time to help me. I’m a senior citizen that’s not to tech savvy. LOL!!!

Anyone else get an Assert Error message when destroying the silver robot!? This happened at the end of the 3rd mechanic! The game didn’t crash, just popped up a message instead of dropping items! I have the latest upgrade on Android! Grrrrrrr!

The wrenches are CRAZY! Only 4-6 chances per day so only 1-2 mechanics. In 25 hours I cleared two little robots and got one tub of grease. Havent been able to do a sideshow yet as microphones are also slow but as you say Chris will then be busy so even fewer attempts at wrenches/grease.
Then LPs. Cannot clear gold bears as need to get loads of concert tickets and wrenches. Peter has a task but us busy with being the only character who can attack the mecha!!!

Right? So far, 4 wrenches total, only 2 ways to get those??? And 1 vat of grease. It’s going to take 70 days to get 70 of those…the drops are supposed to be common, yet I haven’t seen but 1. Can’t say I am enjoying this phase…at all….

I agree completely. It’s insane. I don’t really care about unlocking Rick, but man I was GUDG bad. He is the recurring character in the show, not RA.the requirements are far too large. 70, are you kidding me?!

I’m wondering about the concert tickets, now that the greased up deaf guy needs to be unlocked and not just spawning randomly, the only free option for getting concert tickets is clearing bears. With 20 tickets for the Run Around track and 14 more for the “Make You Cry” Therapy Center, this can take quite a long time.

There needs to be more wrench-earning tasks – even with the premium one, its not enough. On both the gold and silver robots, the grease needs to be an always drop seeing we need 70 of them! I have yet to get a single one from the so called common drop. Greased up Deaf Guy continues to evade us…

I completely agree, I sent them an in game message asking if they could change it to an always drop and would recommend others did too, as the more that ask the more likely that it’ll be changed. 🙂

TinyCo just tossed us stuck-in-phase 4 folks a nice bone – the shop now has the ranger station for glowsticks even for us (didn’t notice anything else new). Got it and now have a capacity for ten event staffers (queue holds six). Quite an improvement over 4, plus a nice-looking deco. Now if only more than three people could earn picnic baskets…

I’m still in phase 4, but while sending Peter to serenade the boy and his toad, I thought I glimpsed an LP icon about midway down in his list of tasks. The toad won’t be finished dancing for quite a while for me to verify, but people might check the list for Peter if they need LPs in case it wasn’t an overtapping-induced hallucination. Usually I check the list because sometimes things are added, but I was in a hurry to get the toad dancing….

Has anyone else noticed a steep decline in Golden Bear spawn since the new phase started? It’s looking like I only get 1 every 6 hours now, and that’s going to delay DJ Herbert significantly.
I’ve played every 2-4 hours since the event started (less 6hrs/day for sleep) and i’m still probably days away from getting herbert. I’m disappointed that i’m losing pace with the game because I can’t spend clams in this event.
As of right now, i’m praying for a catch up week at the end of the event.

Occasionally i have had times the gold bears didnt pop. but most the time they are there before i could even clear another one anyway. Deaf guy shows up more often. if i could jsut get his ass to drop tickets more than stupid lighters would be great. my problem is the last 6 gold bears I have done only 1 or 2 have dropped an LP, which infuriates me, I should be at 3 LPs left but it feels like im just wasting my energy for 7 hours makin rangers to clear a g bear for nothing. thankfully peter can now drop LPs every 8 hours and i can now have up to 10 staves cause of the ranger station.

As has been the standard reply each time, my report to TC about no tubs of grease dropping from robots (0-6), they stated all drop rates for everything in the game have been thoroughly reviewed and are working “as intended”. Interesting considering I’m 12-12 for Union Jacks…another “common drop.”

Just wondering if you know if there’s a limit of how many gold robots can be in your town at a time? I want to concentrate on getting more tickets and picks but if I should be clearing out the robots I can throw a mechanic or two in the queue…if it’s an unlimited amount then I’ll just do the tickets and picks.

Wow. There’s quite a lot going on in this phase by the look of it. Looks like I’m gonna have to start setting the alarm clock to go off every 4 hours!
I was really enjoying phase 4. It was perfectly paced for me, as I managed to complete both required quest lines just before the release of phase 5. The only thing that “Ground my Gears” was purchasing Deadmau5 to then discover that his free album wasn’t available outside the USA and Canada. 😕

Still don’t have DJ Herbert, so I’m left out. Boourns!! Stupid need to have part 7 of Deadma5 in the hous5 complete! It’s the suckiest suck that ever sucked.
Any word on them letting someone else drop records? I see we need more in this phase. I did already complain via in-game IM. 😦

Seems like there should be more ways to get wrenches.
Only the one building and chris can drop them, both are on 6hr drops, Chris whet 1/1 for me, the building is 1/2, and now Chris is on stage with rock concert. so he won’t be available to do his action that often.
We need 70 grease and others from clearing bugs, gold only take 1, silver takes 3 – first questline says to clear silver but it will be 18hrs in before I have a shot at my 3rd wrench.
I’ve killed mecha once, and will start again on him in 2.5hr when he is up again, thinking my town will be swarmed with gold bugs before I have a chance to clear them – is there any cap to how many can be up at once?

Is anyone else having any problems? I cleared my first Silver Robot, I think it just dropped glowsticks(I know that that is a possibilty, it won’t always be Tubs), but when it finished clearing I got some sort of error message that came up, I can’t remember what it was. I am also getting a lot of crashing when I send Herbert to earn Union Jacks.

never gonna get GUDG at this rate. Its pretty clear he is intended to be premium charachter, but with a ‘stuff quest’ phase to
get you excited and attached to him so you end up buying him
on the last day of the event even when you promised yourself you wouldnt.

Cleared the first silver robot and got an “Assert error” popup but game didn’t crash. It popped up as soon as cleared when it should have dropped something and didn’t. Reported already with a screenshot.
Also noticed the timer on the mecha astley in my game isn’t counting down when I’m out of the game either but I am not to the first cooldown yet.
Probably still the same issue they’re working on though.

Getting Greased a Up Deaf Guy is gonna be harder to get then I initially thought, after clearing the 3 Gold Robots that spawned from beating Mecha Astley, only 2 of them dropped a Tub of Grease, I then noticed that all the Silver Robots I had running around, have also dissapeared! Do you know if they are meant to go when you clear the Gold ones, or do they just dissapear if you don’t clear them in a set amount of time?

I set Peter to clear a toad user when the mecha four hour time read at 3:36….go back to game, peter’s got 1:30 left and the mecha timer still says 3:36….anyone else have this problem?

Could you think of a reason why I don’t have the Pop Show option available for the Spooner Stage? Does Rick Astley have to be unlocked first? Thanks for your help as always!

It’s probably not available if you didn’t unlock Meg’s outfit in phase 1. Until you unlock Astley she is the only one available right now to put on a pop show.

Jerome’s ‘Play Darts’, Lois’ ‘Freshen Up’ and Bonnie’s ‘Go to Ladies Night’ all now have a chance of dropping the shorts for Ricardo. All still six hours, but now there are twice as many options to earn the shorts for him.

Hey Bunny. A quick note about unlocking GUDG. I just finished a pop concert but no hearing aid dropped and I have cleared a gold and a silver robot but no grease tubs dropped. I’m wondering if you or anyone else is having this issue. They are listed as common items and since they are the only way to get them…..

I’ve got hearing aids and tu s of Grease. Not always… but neither are always. It’s not even 24hrs in yet so not enough time to compare stats.

If you completed all of them to Rising Star Part 5 (it had a clam icon on the last part) and didn’t get the final payout for A Rising Star Part 5, then contact them.

So is there any reason NOT to push ahead with Phase 5? I have 4 hours before I can do my DJ concert but don’t really see anything besides that that I need to do before triggering the next event.

Not that I can see. Soone you access the Mecha and Spooner stage… sooner you get items needed.

First of all, as usual, thanks for the hard work.
Any tips (or maybe incoming post *wink wink*) for freemium players. Phase 5 seems sooo overwhelping with Robot / Rick Astley, Concerts, Encores, Grease Guy, Ricardo, and alllll the items needed for them. It just seems sooo much to handle

Mecha and Sideshows as much as you can til stage is accessed again. Mecha and Sideshows will offer a lot of needed extras.

I don’t know if I should continue to attack Mecha Astley or not. I won’t have Rick Astley for a few days at least I imagine, and I am using Tricia Takagaga(great skin) for microphones. Peter can keep going, but he may be needed or might not be able to do it alone in time. I think maybe I’ll pick up when I have more stuff from the microphone concerts. I will also need Chris and the building that always drops the wrenches to drop more to clear the robots. I was glad to get a freemium building that allows for so many more staff to be trained. Mixing the Rangers with the Mechanics at the moment to clear robots and bears for LPs.

Have the robots dropped any grease tubs for anyone yet? I see they’re only at the Common level and I only stomped out one gold and one silver, but neither dropped a tub. I’m so disappointed because that’s 6 wrenches wasted! Oh well, this is still a really cool event with lots of fun activities!

Am I missing something with the Tub of Grease? I just can’t see how you can ever get 70 of them just from clearing Robots. Do the gold ones give out more than 1 at a time?

The cool down timer for Mecha Astley is only counting down while in game, as soon as I log out it stops counting down, making it nearly impossible to get items to perform on the Spooner Street Stage, and getting items for Greased Up Deaf Guy. I’ve sent Tiny Co an in game message about this, but I’m interested to know if this is happening for anyone else’s games?

I discovered a (hidden?) 4 hour task for Hayley Smith (American Dad! character). Apparently she can “Attack Mecha Bertram for 2 Damage”. Not sure if this will glitch the game or not, but I’ve sent her on that task… She is attacking Mecha Astley, but her character changed from Hayley Smith to Klingon Chris while she is attacking. I’ll keep everyone posted if this works or not or if I’ll get glitches out of my game (I hope not)!

That’s a 6 hour task!!!! I just spent 250 clams buying an outfit and feel sick now 😦 here I was thinking I could do two 2 hour task during down time for the new “boss”

I bought it before coming here and saw that it was 6 hours, if you don’t want her, try contacting TinyCo through your game. They may be able to give you a refund if you don’t want her anymore.

Hi Bunny! A quick question about an apparent glitch, not sure if I’m the only one: I bought the ranger station (with glowsticks) last night, but it’s not doing anything – the capacity of my workers tent is still 4, not 10. It’s also not dropping any glowsticks. Is this a common glitch that TinyCo is aware of, or is it just me?

I don’t think it is meant to drop glowsticks, mine is like the RVs from the Mobsters event, just decorations that increase the hire number. If it isn’t increasing your cap, you should report it and see if they can fix it for you.

Like is said, but spell correct mass it say non, NONE drop Glowsticks and you do need to contact them on other stuff.

Found another big problem. I had a concert going at the Spooner Stage using 4 characters. I had an hour and some left and now when I come back to the game its as if the concert never happened. I have the 2 mics that I had used and all the characters were in town with check marks over their heads having completed regular tasks that I didn’t assign them. So running the concert was a waste of time. I reported this as well. Between this, the Mecha Astley reset issue and the robots not giving tubs they really didn’t do enough testing before releasing this phase.
