As usual, we will have the complete rundown once we all go through all the details Live in the game to verify all the ins n outs.
First up… the usual Basics…
- Make sure you have completed Deadmau5 in the Hau5 Part 7
- Make sure you have gone to YOUR App Market and downloaded the latest 1.11.5 Update to your Device (hit iOS at 8:10PM EST…
Google Play still waiting… ) - Looks like you also need to complete Never Gonna Catch Me Pt.5 too in order to move forward.
- Actually play the New Questline into a few parts to see all the New content. It all won’t unlock the second it is released. The Questline brings more.

Spoke to TinyCo on the Google Play delay, Google Play does have it… it just needs to propagate (they need to release to all customers fully)… so hang in there. Google Play Update just hit my device at 1130PM EST. Had to restart my device to see it, but it is there now. Check your device too.

SPOONER STAGE
The Spooner Stage is now open and ready for some Sideshows. Similar to the Concert Stage, there will be requirements but you will have a few options to swipe through. From the looks of this, it will be a good source for MORE Glowsticks.
Your Prizes awarded will depend on the Sideshow you end up choosing. You will need Microphones to be able to Perform a Sideshow. The amount needed will vary by the Sideshow you pick.
Microphones: Headliner Mystery Box OR Tricia Takagaga OR Defeat Mecha Astley
There will also be an option to pick Characters to Perform the Sideshows. The more you pick, the higher chance of getting Rewards. Characters that are currently being used to perform Sideshows will be unusable for the duration of that performance. There will be a Clam Speed option if you really want to use it, otherwise just let it play out.
If you win a Prize from the Spooner Stage, check the Inventory first. Like the Barbershop Quartet or “Let You Down” Hot Air Balloons.

ROBOTS & GOLD ROBOTS
The New NPC to clear are the Silver Robots and Gold Robots. These will need to be cleared by the Mechanics. The Robots will start appearing AFTER Attack of the Mecha Astley Pt. 1
Silver Robots: Require 3 Mechanics to Clear
Each time you defeat Mecha Astley, some Gold Robots will appear.
Gold Robots: Require 1 Mechanic to Clear
MECHA ASTLEY
FYI… I noticed a timer issue on his cool down… it stopped timing out. I did report. Please do as well if he doesn’t come out of cool down in 4hrs like he should.
UPDATE 9/4 1130AM EST: TinyCo reported back still working on timer issue. If you leave your game open 4hrs it’ll time down. Just stops when you go out of the game. Hopefully fixed soon as I’m at a standstill on it.
UPDATE 9/4 940PM EST: Per TinyCo…
The timer issue should be fixed now! Players will need to make sure that their game is completely closed for the timer to continue counting down. However, if the game is running in the background then their timers may remain stuck.
I did check it out in my game and so far it is working fine. Timing down as should been. If you are not sure if your game is completely closed, try a Force Close on your device.
Mecha Astley will appear AFTER Attack of the Mecha Astley Pt 1
As in previous Event “Boss Battles”, you will need to send Characters to “defeat” him. Each Character will offer a different damage amount to him. You can tap on him and press the “Attack” button to see who is available to attack him.
First Incarnation of Mecha Astley: 2 Hearts
1X: Spawns 3 Gold Robots, Earns 20 Glowsticks & 2 Microphones
Cool Down Time: 4hrs
Characters
Rockstar Peter: 4hrs, 1 Damage
Rick Astley: 1 Damage
Tricia Takagaga: 2 Damage
Also same as previous “Boss Battles”, you want to completely Defeat him within 24hrs to keep a “streak” going. If you do not, and the 24hr timer runs out… you will lose your streak and start back at the first round.
If the 24 hour timer runs out before you defeat Mecha Astley, you will lose your streak. Keep defeating him to earn more rewards!
Once you Defeat him, Gold Robots will appear. Clear these to earn items you need to unlock other Characters. Like the Tubs of Grease you will need for Greased Up Deaf Guy

Erm, so to unlock rick and GUDG you need certain items that you get from the Spooner Street stage, but to perform a gig you need microphones, which you can only get from Rick’s quest line or from spending clams on Trish or Rupert’s mystery box. So in other words unless I am willing to spend clams I cannot get either Rick or GUDG? Am I right here? If so then that sucks!

Don’t worry about the Hostel. It is more a “side” option. Stick to the main Characters.

Maybe you have covered this but I can’t find it … Is there any advantage for the silver robots over the gold ones? Do they drop more vats since they take 3 mechanics instead of 1? I’m really struggling to get the vats. I’m glad they added Bruce to help out but for a common drop, they are taking forever😎

Just a higher possibility of a drop over a gold. But they hardly show up so I’m sticking to take my chances on Gold with 1 mechanic

I’ve collected the required amount of shorts for Ricardo but my characters and buildings can still collect shorts. Bug or am I missing something?

I am done with this event. It’s so frustrating. If it went on for another month I might be able to collect 70 tubs of grease. I’m only getting one every other robot stomp. TinyCo blew it with this event. Anyone else feel this way or am I just a whinny little B?

The Events are meant to be Challenging. The amount seems huge, but that is typical of Each and Every Event. No matter what, there always seems to be a way to accomplish it. Remember this is just Part one of his collection. As you keep playing more and more become available in the game. Just let TinyCo know your results and where you are in the game. We never know what other options Phase 6 will bring. You may have so many tubs by the end you won’t know what to do with them. Still got til the 17th. 😉

I used to be able to keep up fairly well. I’m now 6 days behind. This is not an event someone who works 50 hours a week can keep up with. I swear these games are designed for teens and college people who don’t work and are able to log on more than a few times a day. There’s too much going on in these events lately.

Well… to be honest… if you look at anything with defeat instead of hope… then you tend to give up and not even try. I would suggest to just keep trying if it was me. 😉

My outlook on it has nothing to do with the fact that you only realistically get 6 wrenches per day with 9 days remaining = 54 vats of grease and thats if they drop properly which, considering TinyCo’s history with drop rates, isnt a certainty.

I get that there is a concern on the Wrenches too… same thoughts though… see what comes of it. Every event has challenging aspects that get more challenging in the final rounds. But it also seems new items come along as well to “boost” those things you need. I have seen this model since… well… the game launched. They have tweaked things here and there… but that part has always been the same. Similar to a game you would play on a console, the further you get the harder the challenge to “beat the game”.
I didn’t say it would be easy. I am just saying there seems to be a reoccurring theme over and over and over.

Well they just made an adjustment and now Bruce drops wrenches. The problem is you need Bruce to get Picnic Baskets to get rangers to gets LP’s. ***

Will placing the Vat-O-Grease stop the Greased-Up Deaf Guy from running around our towns? I don’t want to place it if I lose the chance to get tickets from him when he pops up.

Yes. You will need to rely on the other Ticket sources.

Word of warning for those who haven’t yet gotten the vat of grease to begin collecting towards unlocking GUDG… once you place the vat of grease you will no longer see GUDG running around once or twice a day and you won’t get any tickets from him as a result! So you may want to hold off and collect as many tickets as you can before placing that vat of grease..per my response from tiny Co on this “once you have placed the vat of grease, greased up deaf guy will no longer appear in your quahog unless he is needed to complete a quest”

Have TinyCo changed their rules for this event?
Usually you could collect items for a character or building task and the more you collected, the less clams would be required if you wanted to complete early.
For this event the clams required don’t seem to go down, which makes me less likely to want to spend any. Eg currently I need just 2 tickets to get a building and if I want to speed up and complete it now, it will cost 200 clams! It doesn’t seem right.

If you are talking about Ricardo, it is because the Kiosk has set prices. If you want to “buy him out for less”, use other methods like buying out after speeding up a task that drops them. If you speed it up you will get the option of “try again” or “buy now”

How do you get more glow sticks? Things in the game are increasingly choosing a ridiculous amount of them and I can’t seem to get Amy except for the normal tasks, buildings, and fans that walk the streets.

Hey fellow addicts, I just wanted to wish everyone an awesome Labor Day weekend. Phase 5 has been quite a difficult level. I am an avid player but even so, this level has me rethinking a lot of things. I honestly don’t want to buy that Chinese characters outfit. And Peter is the only one that could get a mic. I tried to fight that robot with Peter but it only knocked out one hit. And then the option to do it again with Peter disappeared. I honestly don’t know how else to get mics. And I really love the game, but I’m disappointed that tiny co has made this phase sooooo difficult. I know I won’t have a chance in hell in getting greased up deaf guy. I managed to get one single scorpion to drop off the item. I killed 4 other scorpions but they only dropped glow sticks. So not fair. On a lighter note, I can’t wait for the new season of family to come on soon

I have contacted tinyco multiple times that the dessert you bakery that is located in the festival mech kiosk says locked in my game so I have no idea how to get it. Is anyone else having this issue?
