UPDATE 10PM EST: Looks like they also pushed a patch. You should now see a Pop Up “Challenge Quest” triggered by Peter for when you complete all the True Fan Challenges so you can Claim the Mecha Astley.
Hey there Toady Roadies!
I was anticipating the 3rd and Final Challenge to drop tonight. It has not yet. I am terribly tired and a lot going on first thing in the morning, so I will not be staying up any later to continue to wait for it. No verification from TinyCo either that it will hit tonight (it is only just 9PM their time).
If it does hit in the middle of the night (as it is Midnight Eastern Time), I will update all I can later. Otherwise, just watch out for any ! over Peter that is out of the ordinary.

UPDATE 9/15: Here is the True Fan Challenge Part 3 Details…
Keep in mind that again, these WILL be a Challenge. Clams may be required to complete them depending on where YOU are at in the game progression. These will only show up if you have made an In App Purchase before. They also usually require trigger points… like being in Phase 6 content for this one (WeirderPalooza Part 1).
Peter will have a ! above his head to start the Challenge. Tapping on it or ANY of the “GO” options from the Challenge Pop Ups will start the 24hr Timer for the Challenge. So be careful.
Now for the breakdown…
HAVE RICK ATTACK MECHA ASTLEY 4 TIMES
This one will require Rick of course. This can be done easily in 24hrs, even if Mecha Astley goes into Cool Down. Just use my tip for Attacking the Mecha Astley before he goes into Cool Down to save you 4hrs of time.
This is just a 4hr Attack. Nothing more. So you will need 16hrs to complete it.
HAVE GREASED UP DEAF GUY TOUCH ALL THE CANDY
This one will be tricky as it WILL require you to have Greased Up Deaf Guy. This is a 12hr Task on Level 2 and will require Mort available as he is the one that chases Greased Up Deaf Guy during this task.
As it it a 12hr Task, you will want to get started on it as soon as possible so you don’t have to cut it too close.
DO THE PETERPALOOZA ENCORE AGAIN
As this one is going to be you COMPLETELY defeating the Mecha Astley twice, I would say unless you have a hole lot of luck on your hands and both Tricia and Weird Al… this one is gonna cost you some Clams to complete.
But again, this relies on where YOU are on the Mecha Astley battles. If he is on the lower 1X-3X Level, you will be able to take him down twice just fine in a short amount of time. If he is on 5X Level, expect to possibly use some Clams as the quickest time to take him down with all 4 will be 12hrs. You can try the Pre-Attacks to bypass Clams and “hit him while he is in Cool Down” to get a jump start on it. You will have to be RIGHT on top of it.
EXAMPLE ON 5X…
12hrs

![]()
![]()
Rockstar Peter & Rick Astley & Tricia Takagaga & Weird Al: Attack 3 Times with Peter- Rick- Tricia for 18 Damage, Attack 1 Time with Weird Al for 3 Damage / 21 Damage Total
OR 1 of the Following Options

Rockstar Peter & Rick Astley & Weird Al: Attack 3 Times Each/ 21 Damage Total

Rockstar Peter & Tricia Takagaga & Weird Al: Attack 3 Times Each/ 21 Damage Total

Rick Astley & Tricia Takagaga Weird Al: Attack 3 Times Each/ 21 Damage Total
Just before he is completely defeated again, set at least 2 of them to Attack so they will be knocking him down in Cool Down. If you can keep Weird Al Attacking during Cool Down, that will be best. This should buy you enough time to completely take him down before 24hrs and save you spending Clams.
So Attack him with 3 or 4 if you can and take him down in 12hrs, then leave 2 or 3 to continue the Attack (definitely Al if you can) and as soon as he is back, clear those 2 or 3 waiting and that will cut 4hrs off the timer and hopefully give you that 4hrs of wiggle room to get it done and get the Encore Concert done (if that is not ready to go already).
Side Note: This is WORST case scenario. As the 2 Mecha Defeats have been a part of the Encores since Phase 6 launched, this part may be already long done and all you have to to is start the Encore. ANY Mecha Defeats before now would have counted towards those 2 Mecha Defeat Encores. You just can’t have completed it BEFORE triggering this task or you have to do two Mecha Defeats again. (Or just one more if one is already checked off.)
DO TWO DANCE SIDESHOWS
The Dance Shows only take 6hrs each, so this one should be easy to pass off in 12hrs. You just need to have one of the 3 Characters that use it available to send on a Dance Show and the 30 Microphones Total required. Defeating a Mecha Astley on 5X will give you enough as it drops 26 each time on 5X. 4X gives you 20.
Using this in unison with the Attacks required to complete the Challenge will help too.
TRUE FAN CHALLENGE PART 3 PRIZE
The 3rd True Fan Challenge Prize is a replica of the Festival Merch Kiosk. Once I have the Challenge Complete, I will post more stats on the Prize.
Festival Merch Kiosk (Decoration): Sits on a 5×5 base. Not currently animated.
GRAND PRIZE
As we all have pretty much figured out by now, the Grand Prize is the Mecha Astley.
I am still working on the Challenge myself and waiting for him to come out of Cool Down. Once complete, I will Update if he is a stationary Decoration or a Walking Decoration.
UPDATED 9/15 7PM EST: I completed the Challenge and am now waiting to be rewarded the Mecha Astley. In the past, they provided the Grand Prize at the end of the Event. I am double checking that as I am getting mixed info. Will report once completely verified.
UPDATE 10PM EST: Looks like they also pushed a patch. You should now see a Pop Up “Challenge Quest” for when you complete all the True Fan Challenges so you can Claim the Mecha Astley.
Mecha Astley (Decoration): Sits on a 2×2 base. Currently not animated.
MY TIPS
UPDATE 530PM EST: Here are some of my tips since many have been asking for it.
If you have NOT triggered the Challenge, get pre-started on it to pass it. Get GUDG unlocked, to Level 2, and his task started. Start a Dance Show but don’t clear the check mark when it completes. Take down Mecha Astley at least once fully setting up BEFORE he goes down with Rick and as many others as you can Attacking during the Cool Down (ONLY if you are on the higher levels, just him if on lowers and only a few hits needed). THEN start the Challenge.
Once started, clear the Dance Show and immediately start another one. If GUDG is ready, clear his task… if not then wait until he is done and clear him. Clear Rick’s Cool Down Attack and then start him again (others too if on higher levels). This way all that you will have left is one more Dance Show, 3 more Rick Attacks, one more defeat on the Mecha, then the Encore if you aren’t already set up to perform it.
Keep in mind if you still need another Rick Attack and Mecha is about to go down, send Rick to Attack him in cool down BEFORE he is defeated and you’ll still get those 4hrs saved and the task checked off.
This Final Challenge really does look possible depending on where YOU are in the game. For me, it worked out just fine as I already had some Characters Attacking him in Cool Down, so I was able to take him down again quickly and can perform the PeterPalooza Encore shortly.
Are you taking a go at this Challenge? If so, where are you on it? Any other tips you can suggest to other Players? Let us know.

I’m trying to figure out how to get it all finished:
What would happen if I triggered the true fan challenge with less than 24 hours in the event left ❔ and completed all the event tasks dance shows, encore concert, attack mecha astly before the end of the event . could I than finish the greased up deaf guy x mort task still (with my 24 hour clock still running, but event clock stopped)❓ ❔

EVERYTHING Event goes on the 17th @3pm Pacific time, regardless where you are.
Only lingering items are the side questlines linked to when you unlock a Character and they start their individual questline.

Question: if I do not completely unlock Belgard before event ends and he goes away do I keep the hostel? Or does that go too?

You essentially are buying the Hostel. The Character is separate. So that is yours to own once you buy it and build it.

Week 2 and 3 were very possible. I’m going to struggle to get the GUDG, I’m guessing I’m in a similar situation to many others. Hoping to get him before the end of the event and then I can take a crack at the challenge… Maybe…

Any chance of an extension to this event? If not, there’s no reason for me to continue. Just wondering if either of you lovely ladies has any insight. I’m definitely not going to reward Tiny Co. with money for a cruddy event at the last hour.

Got to ask them. Extensions are rare and not so easy to do as things are timed out Months in advance with game houses and any time extended causes a domino effect to all the other items already scheduled to follow. Not to mention the legalities and any promotional contracts linked with those other prescheduled items. It honestly all depends on the ability to be able to along with the need. At least from what I have seen in all the years I have been a gamer and seeing how these game houses work.

Per TinyCo, if you completed Part 1, 2, & 3… Grand Prize should be there. You got all 3 and it’s no where at all in your Inventory? Is there still an icon for the MEcha in your task bar with the present on it?

Well, this 3rd task is out as a near-Freemium player. I am absolutely no where close to getting the GUDG (among many other things). And you know what? I am okay with that.
I have always realized that Tiny C.O. owes us nothing (assuming that we don’t buy Clams – then I think that Premium items/characters/etc. should work as advertised). They programmed the game to make money, I am not sure how I feel overall about the freemium model (considering the psychology that goes into enticing people to spend money), but as long as they aren’t taking advantage of minors – I am basically okay with it.
Once you realize that this game (as opposed to a semi-related freemium game) is nearly or truly impossible to “complete” without spending real money, AND you don’t want to spend a lot (or any) real money, then you can focus on those parts that you want to – and ignore the rest.
I have concentrated on topping the leaderboard, while letting other side quests go uncompleted – and I am currently second (just trailing the #1 person) – and thus qualified for Bad Trip Stewie. Not sure why I want him, but it seems fun.
This means I am likely giving up on:
True Fan Challenge (and the perma-Mecha Astley)
Hardcore Encore (no chance of enough tickets for the Final Performance)
Becoming a Superstar
WeirderPalooza
A Rising Star
Rickrolling Through Quahog
Hairless in Quahog (10,000 Glowsticks! Seriously!)
Polka Face
Never Gonna Catch Me
Extra Greasy
I think of this like one of those tests that have 20 questions on them, and it’s expected that a super genius will finish 10 of them. You are given a lot of options so that you can work on those things you are best at. Never understood those people that complain that they couldn’t finish the test, you weren’t supposed to.
A very similar thing here, unless you are wanting to spend real money (and I am not sure how much, I am thinking A LOT), you aren’t going to finish this. Don’t complain – you are playing a game that took thousands of hours to design for free, because someone else is paying for it!
Cguy out!
I really considered doing one of those reports from the field where I wrote about all of the Task Lines as wild fires that I was running around trying to put out. Once I realized that I probably wouldn’t be able to complete ANY of them, I decided that it wouldn’t be very entertaining.

After initial shock and re-reading the requirements I realized I’m good to go. Should have it all done first thing in the morning. Didn’t really want Mecha though. Same with stoner Stewie. I really wish we could gift characters/skins/buildings/etc.

I guess it is good I unlocked GUDG this morning just need to get him to level 2 to unlock his 12 hour task and keep Mort on a short leash until GUDG is level 2. Encore concert is not a problem I can do that any time before time is up because it’s ready to go and only takes 2 minutes. I was already working on Mecha Astley x5 before the challenge hit. So I will need to hit him with everything that I got until he is defeated because I still need 4 more mics for another dance side show.

I got REALLY lucky on this one. I sent everyone on tasks this morning before I went to work like always (I have no game access all day at work). When I came home I clicked on the challenge before clearing things. Rick was already attacking the mecha, GUDG was already touching candy because it was needed for another quest line, the dance concert had finished, and I had an encore concert waiting to be run! Talk about a nice break!

That’s pretty much how mine was. All I have to do now is attack with Rick a few times when cool down is done and finish second dance show and I’m done. I had the Encore Concert just sitting there ready to go cuz I had to clear the Mecha several times now for other tasks.

When you clicked on them before the ranking started the window says grease tubs or money. once the rankings started the money was replaced by viral videos. I was doin fine for a couple days then they started dropping money occasionally (there only did virals and tubs before this moment) which really slows things down for both rankings and deaf guy. i would have had him unlocked already if not for that most likely. I am now 7 away from unlocking him. If it werent for the level 2 requirement on him I would definitely get the challenge done. Unfortunately there was no info up anywhere about the challenge when i clicked the ! (not even knowing it was the challenge). after I get 3 more tubs I may just clam him and see how much it would cost to rush his task to level him up. I generally never rush tasks. Bunny you said after 2 tasks you leveled him up? which tasks were they? I have been able to level characters up with a single longer task before, so length can be important here. Maybe I can rush a longer task to level him up and then speed up his candy task and get it in time. Naturally you never know how much it will cost to rush tasks (usually seems to be twice the duration in clams but sometimes its like 3-5 times as many clams as duration!)

You’re welcome. Best to do is wait if you can… start the tasks… attack the Mecha fully once to get a jump on the 1st part of Encore leaving Rick and others on cool down attack. Get a dance show done but don’t clear it or any tasks.
Then start the Challenge. Once started tap the Tasks to clear them. Clear the Dance Show. Then start clearing Characters including Rick on the Mecha Attack. That’ll just leave one Dance Show, 3 more Rick Attacks, and Encore Concert.

I got lucky with this challenge. It hit just as I was finishing a take down including an attack with Rick. So, I clicked his check mark first and sent him right on his next attack so he’ll finish it in time to do damage as Mecha finishes the cool down. Then Ricks third attack will start and I’ll only have one left in the morning. I also already had GUDG and Mort on the candy task from the GUDG quest line. I also had the encore concert just waiting to go and Herbert at the end of his task ready to start the first sideshow. So, if anyone hasn’t triggered the challenge yet, I suggest you have as many of the same ready first. It will reduce the entire run to 16 hours or less!

Considering these are premium only side quests for bonus items the tasks seem appropriate. IMHO they were way harder ones for the prizes in the mob event. Really hoping that Mecha Astley is a walking deco that would be much cooler.

Really thought I could get all three until this launched today. I’m still no where near getting GUDG (been trying really hard) and currently only have 5 microphones on hand. I loved this event until this last week… Ready for it to be over, I’ve already went back to working on the main questline as this all just seems impossible..

I’ll have to hold off,I don’t have GUDG. I’m close though, I might use clams to finish him and speed up Rick’s attacks. I don’t want to have been so close, only to lose out because I haven’t used some clams.

I decided to just buy the materials with clams(saved clams by speeding up an almost done Grease Factory). I didn’t want to, but I didn’t think I would have time otherwise. I had a ready to finish Rick so I managed to get one off. I will need to speed up GUDG once so that he levels up, and I can send him on his task. I did want to wait, but I spent the clams. I shouldn’t need any more, I hope the characters can still attack Mecha Astley afterwards as a visual task. I really don’t think it will, but it would be nice if it did something or came with Marvin Astley. I am looking at buying a lot, I might get some more clams and donuts for the Halloween events in here and TSTO. Hopefully the games will both be quiet until then.

So, just to clarify, if you’ve never bought a clam with actual money, but you’re in phase 6 of the event and ready for the challenge, it is impossible to even see that this quest exists? So you have no idea what you’re missing / no hope of ever getting it?
LikeLike
For all 3 Challenges, the same exact requirements. So if you never bought Clams, you would have never seen Challenge 1 or 2 and therefor not able to even access Challenge 3 nor get a chance at the Grand Prize as all 3 are required to be completed to get the Grand Prize.
Again, look at this the same as you would a Premium Character. It is a Premium Option in the game that may and can require you to spend Clams.
Freemium Players don’t get them. Same as previous Event.

I got challenge 1 and 2, and I am a freemium player.
I have never BOUGHT clams, however, I have (accidentally) SPENT clams on some items by mis-clicking (Ye old abortion clinic, the Ranger station) , thus wasting my saved-up clams, which were being saved so I could buy a premium character. Oh well.
I think it has to do with spending clams, not buying them.

I personally am not even attempting this one… I did part 1 of the true fan challenge which was near impossible and once I realized the prize was mecha astley and a bunch of tents /buildings I have zero room for I just don’t see the point in it. I like to complete things but too much going on at the moment. Still only have 4/20 needed greasy underwear for GUDG, still only 6500 out of 10,000 needed glowsticks for Ricardo and still only 5/10 needed tickets for the dj booth to complete DJ Herbert’s storyline and 0/20 tickets needed for the grease fountain which I’ll need to complete GUDG’s quest line if I should be able to get those darned undies in time! So, I’m planning to keep all my efforts and resources working towards GUDG and other needed items instead of the true fan challenge.

For most… it may be a pass anyway to just put Decorations in their games, as you pointed out. So definitely, if nothing really even remotely looks interesting… give it a pass and just focus on other things you DO want in your game. That is the beauty of options, you don’t have to if you don’t want to. 🙂

It has been the case before and will continue as this is a VERY difficult Challenge that may require Clams spent to complete… thus making it a Premium Option and something Freemium Players won’t want to access or many times not be able to even be in the proper place to try.
It comes from MANY suggestions/complaints from Freemiums to tag them as a Premium Option. So, you can thank Player’s response. 😉

Wish I had waited but the challenge 3 doesnt start til you hit start on the quest to do all 3 challenges. for it you need to
1. Rick Astley attack Mecha Astley 4 times.
2. Greased Up Deaf Guy touch all the candy (12 hours)
3. Do Concert encore.
4. 2 Dance Shows.
My problem is i just sent Rick to do a concert, I have 57/70 Grease Tubs (I will definitely unlock him today but with a 12 hour task to do (hopefully already available and nothing I have to level up for) I Only need to beat Mecha one more time for encore rights, which should fit nicely with Rick Attacking Mecha assuming I make sure to leave enough HP for Rick to do it 4 times. And since i just sent rick on side concert I have to wait for that to finish the dance shows. Now to make sure i keep the dance character available when its time to start those. I am going to have to remember so much to make sure i dont mess this up with lol.

Also, if you look at my HELPFUL post… you will see it CAN be done depending on who you have in your game. Plain and simple. It is a difficult Challenge offered ONLY to Premium Players as there is knowledge going in and has always been that you may need to spend Clams to complete it. It is in essential, a Premium Challenge. They never hid that point. Ever.
Regardless, it CAN be done. You just have to play it just right to do so. 🙂

Glad I could be of some assistance; however, I’m still uncertain how it would be possible without the ideal variables being in place. Here are the numbers:
Complete the following in 24 hours:
1) Defeat Mecha Astley 4 times
2) Have Greased Up Deaf Guy Touch All of the Candy (Requires Mort and Greased Up Deaf Guy)
3) Do the PeterPalooza Encore Again
4) Do 2 Dance Sideshows
Facts:
1) 4 hr cool down timer that cannot be sped up times 3 times in between attacks = 12 hrs.
2) Action required to hit Mecha Astley = 4 hrs for a single attack
3) Even if the conditions were perfect and you started the quest with the mecha @ level 1, you’d still have to pay clams to speed up the final attack.
_______________________________________________________
Breakdown for Perfect Conditions:
Timer: >0:00
1) Attack Mecha Astley at Level 1 (2 hearts) – 4 hrs – Requires any 1 character. Before clearing the checkmark, trigger the event allowing the first hit to count at the beginning of the 24 hr period
Timer: 4:00
2) 2nd Attack on Mecha Astely at Level 2 (3 hearts) – 4 hrs – Requires any 2 characters or Wierd Al by himself (if purchased) – Followed by subsequent cooldown timer – 4 hrs
Timer: 12:00
3) 3rd Attack on Mecha Astley at Level 3 (10 hearts) – 8 hrs – Requires at least two hits regardless of the combination of characters (Peter – 2, Rick – 2, Tricia – 2, Wierd Al – 3) as all combined = 9 health – Followed by subsequent cooldown timer – 4 hrs
Timer: 24:00
4) Final Attack on Mecha Astley at Level 4 (16 hearts) – 8 hrs – Requires at least two hits regardless of the combination of characters (Peter – 2, Rick – 2, Tricia – 2, Wierd Al – 3) as all combined = 9 health
Final Timer: 32:00

Pre-attacks won’t serve much purpose as it would still require 2 attacks for levels 3 and 4 within 12 hrs due to 12 hrs being consumed for cool down. If there’s something wrong with this math let me know.

Start the Mecha Attacks BEFORE triggering Challenge. (See my comment to Joe).
Then leave at least Rick Attacking him in Cool down. Start tasks, dance show, etc.
Then when they’re ready to “check off” …that point trigger challenge. Then clear GUDG task, Clear Dance show check mark and start 2nd one, then clear Mecha Cool Down tasks. This leaves only one Dance show, 3 more Rick attacks, and Encore. All can be done under 24hrs this way. How is there 12hrs cool down? There’s only 8… strike that only 4 as he just needs to go down twice and by second time no worry. You just need Mecha down twice for Encore. Many may already have those done and counted as that is standard game play. So it’s really ONLY 4 Rick attacks.

FYI… you are looking at #1 WRONG. It is an Attack…. 4hr Attack… like stated in the post. You are thinking DEFEAT. Two separate things. 😉

The challenge began and it requires GUDG to be unlocked, I’m not sure how many players have him already, but I supose that the majority is still struggling to get his materials.

It’s here!
In 24 hrs:
•have Rick Astley attack Mecha Astley 4 times
•Have Greased-up Deaf Guy Touch all the candy
•Do the PeterPalooza encore again
•Do two Dance sideshows
I’m tempted to spend some clams to finish unlocking GDG so I can do this — need more of those darn Greasy Underpants! We’ll see…

So we need GUDG to complete the challenge so that’s me not getting 3rd or extra prize then

Nice move TC! I am close to getting GUDG but may be forced to spend yet more clams to get him for the final challenge.

Any word on your end when 3rd challenge will hit. I’m sure I’m not the only one sending characters on short tasks until it is announced.
Only potential advantage to the delay is that TinyCo plans to extend the event so they are in no hurry for the challenge.

I am wondering if they are extending the event, that’s why this hasn’t shown up yet. I know I am mathematicaly eleminate from getting Greased up deaf guy right now, guessing other players are as well.

Let’s cross our fingers and hope that the guys at TinyCo make this challenge an easy one. With so little time left until the event ends, I can’t afford to take my characters from their current tasks if I want to unlock GUDG (not even for a Mecha Astley deco).

they are making it pretty close though, seeing as there’s only 2 days and 12 hours left, and at the time of writing i still haven’t received part 3.
